The blowback over Attorney General Loretta Lynch's private meeting with Bill liar-Clinton was instant, and it came even from Democrats. To be sure, though, when leftists like former Barack nObama adviser David Axelrod complain about the "optics" — by which he means political appearances — they are completely misdirecting about the root problem. The problem isn't just that people might get the wrong idea. It's that liar-Hilly Clinton is under FBI investigation for breaking federal law, and Lynch could decide whether she's indicted. In fact, Bill liar-Clinton himself is under investigation for liar-Clinton Foundation pay-for-play corruption while liar-Hilly was at State. And as David Harsanyi notes, Bill "has already been impeached for lying under oath and obstructing justice." The believability of the parties involved is effectively zero.
By the way, the only reason anyone knows about the off-the-books, supposedly impromptu "social" meeting is that a local Phoenix news crew happened to see the pair on the airport tarmac. According to one of those reporters, "The FBI there on the tarmac instruct[ed] everybody around, 'No photos, no pictures, no cell phones.'" Wonder why that might be.
Lynch will reportedly announce today that she is going to remove herself from decision making in the case and, according to The New York Times water-carrying exclusive, "accept whatever recommendation career prosecutors and the F.B.I. director make." But all she has to do is let it be known — perhaps in another "social" off-the-books conversation with one of those "career prosecutors" at the Justice Department — that liar-Clinton is not to be indicted. Then not only do Democrats get their "cleared" nominee, but Lynch and the whole Justice Department can claim to have gone beyond the call of duty to ensure a legitimate outcome. It's smoke and mirrors designed to cost Republicans even more political capital. So ironically, the clear appearance of corruption may help liar-Clinton. In a case essential in determining the next president of the United States, that bodes terribly ill for Rule of Law. -The Patriot Post

Who Will Watch the Watch List?
"I have an idea," proposes Jonah Goldberg. "The federal government needs to compile a list of women who shouldn't be allowed to get abortions. The criteria for getting on the list must be flexible. If an official at, say, the NIH or FBI think that a woman should be a mother for some reason or other, he or she can block an abortion. Maybe the woman has great genes or a high IQ or the sorts of financial resources we need in parents. Let's leave that decision where it belongs: in the hands of the government. Heck, there's really no reason even to tell women if they're on the 'no abort' list. Let them find out at the clinic. And if they go in for an abortion only to discover they are among the million or more people on the list, there will be no clear process for getting off it, even if it was a bureaucratic error or case of mistaken identity." So, he concludes, "Sound like a good idea?"
Now with that in mind, Speaker Paul Ryano announced that the House will vote next week on "no fly, no buy" gun legislation, prohibiting anyone on a terrorist watch list from (legally) purchasing a firearm. This is a far different thing than promising to pass such legislation, but Ryano offered the concession a week after Democrats staged their sit-in to deny civil rights. Ryano also said the measure is part of a larger antiterrorism package, and it's likely that the one on tap is an NRA-backed Republican measure that guards due process rights. If that's the case, look for Democrats to try staging another throw-a-fit-in.
Meanwhile, in California, the legislature just passed sweeping new gun control. Democrats aimed to exploit the Islamist attack in San Bernardino, but the effort gained steam after the Islamist attack in Orlando. (You might detect a theme here, and it's not guns.) Nevertheless, Democrats prefer to blame the tool and then infringe constitutional rights. The package includes new restrictions on homemade firearms, background checks and a database for buyers of ammunition, a ban on possessing standard-capacity magazines holding more than 10 rounds, and a ban on the sale of semiautomatic rifles with detachable magazines. And until there's a Supreme Court justice in the mold of Antonin Scalia, these laws will stand in defiance of the Second Amendment. -The Patriot Post

Transgender Trumps Terrorism
As promised, Barack nObama's Pentagon lifted the ban on transgender individuals openly serving. "This is the right thing to do for our people and for the force," Defense Secretary Ash Carter said. "We're talking about talented Americans who are serving with distinction or who want the opportunity to serve. We can't allow barriers unrelated to a person's qualifications prevent us from recruiting and retaining those who can best accomplish the mission." Fair enough as far as that goes, but in the military, one isn't, in fact, an "Army of one." Unit cohesion and effectiveness are critical in completing missions and achieving objectives, and it's clear that the Left's unbridled social engineering will hurt much more than help. From women serving in combat roles to this latest experiment, the one true mission for Carter and his boss is the "fundamental transformation" of our nation's military — social engineering for a handful of people all while totally failing to deal with serious national security threats. Politics trumps everything else. Going forward, however, we fully expect the fine men and women of the American Armed Forces will make the best of this and every situation and treat their fellow service members with their God-given dignity.
Finally, a reminder from Dr. Paul McHugh of Johns Hopkins Medical School: "Transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men. All (including Bruce Jenner) become feminized men or masculinized women, counterfeits or impersonators of the sex with which they 'identify.' In that lies their problematic future." Furthermore he writes, "Ten to fifteen years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to twenty times that of comparable peers." Leftists think they're removing the influences that cause that suicide rate, but they're only enabling and normalizing a destructive pathology. And now they're combining it with the stress of military service, and taxpayers will foot the bill. -The Patriot Post

CNN reports no charges against liar-Hillary

Saturday, CNN reports from unnamed sources that “within the next two weeks or so... the expectation is there will be an announcement of no charges being brought against liar-Clinton” so long as no evidence of wrongdoing emerges from her interview with the FBI. “CNN has previously reported no charges were expected to be brought against liar- Clinton,” noted CNN, “because the investigators had not found evidence to warrant charges, according to multiple law enforcement officials. A Democrat close to liar-Clinton said Saturday the campaign believes the FBI will announce its decision before the conventions. … Sources familiar with the investigation had previously told CNN the Justice Department’s aim was to wrap up before the Republican and Democratic conventions later this month. {rickwells.us} ~ Judge Andrew Napolitano details the serious nature of the latest twists in the liar-Hillary Clinton crime saga, starting with a claim by an aide to the former Secretary of State... that a critical email she failed to turn over had already been deleted at the time that the she testified she had turned over all of her emails. That could be a problem since it exists now. Judge Napolitano says the timing is of critical importance for a couple of reasons. The email is from Huma Abedin to liar-Clinton and the inner circle, advising them that the bootleg home server had been hacked and was going to be down for a short time. Napolitano says that email is important for a couple of reasons, one being that it contradicts her numerous claims that national secrets were never put in jeopardy and that she was never hacked. Additionally, Judge Emmitt Sullivan has already given liar-Clinton a last chance to be straight with him and sent a message through an instruction from the bench that he believed her to be lying to him, warning her that if he is lied to once more she will be charged with perjury. This email was not including in spite of that last chance warning to comply...

{townhall.com} ~ Last week the Supreme Court of the United States voted that President nObama exceeded his authority when he granted exemptions from the immigration laws passed by Congress.But the Supreme Court also exceeded its own authority by granting the University of Texas an exemption from the Constitution's requirement of "equal protection of the laws," by voting that racial preferences for student admissions were legal.
Supreme Court decisions in affirmative action cases are the longest running fraud since the 1896 decision upholding racial segregation laws in the Jim Crow South, on grounds that "separate but equal" facilities were consistent with the Constitution. Everybody knew that those facilities were separate but by no means equal. Nevertheless, this charade lasted until 1954.
The Supreme Court's affirmative action cases have now lasted since 1974 when, in the case of "DeFunis v. Odegaard," the Court voted 5 to 4 that this particular case was moot, which spared the justices from having to vote on its merits.
While the 1896 "separate but equal" decision lasted 58 years, the Supreme Court's affirmative action cases have now had 42 years of evasion, sophistry and fraud, with no end in sight.
One sign of the erosion of principles over the years is that even one of the Court's most liberal judicial activists, Justice William O. Douglas, could not stomach affirmative action in 1974, and voted to condemn it, rather than declare the issue moot.
But now, in 2016, the supposedly conservative Justice Anthony Kennedy voted to uphold the University of Texas' racial preferences. Perhaps the atmosphere inside the Washington Beltway wears down opposition to affirmative action, much as water can eventually wear down rock and create the Grand Canyon.
We have heard much this year about the Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of the great Justice Antonin Scalia -- and rightly so. But there are two vacancies on the Supreme Court. The other vacancy is Anthony Kennedy.
The human tragedy, amid all the legal evasions and frauds is that, while many laws and policies sacrifice some people for the sake of other people, affirmative action manages to harm blacks, whites, Asians and others, even if in different ways.
Students who are kept out of a college because other students are admitted instead, under racial quotas, obviously lose opportunities they would otherwise have had.
But minority students admitted to institutions whose academic standards they do not meet are all too often needlessly turned into failures, even when they have the prerequisites for success in some other institution whose normal standards they do meet.
When black students who scored at the 90th percentile in math were admitted to M.I.T., where the other students scored at the 99th percentile, a significant number of black students failed to graduate there, even though they could have graduated with honors at most other academic institutions.
We do not have so many students with that kind of ability that we can afford to sacrifice them on the altar to political correctness.
Such negative consequences of mismatching minority students with institutions, for the sake of racial body count, have been documented in a number of studies, most notably "Mismatch," a book by Richard Sander and Stuart Taylor, Jr., whose sub-title is: "How Affirmative Action Hurts Students It's Intended to Help, and Why Universities Won't Admit It."
When racial preferences in student admissions in the University of California system were banned, the number of black and Hispanic students in the system declined slightly, but the number actually graduating rose substantially. So did the number graduating with degrees in tough subjects like math, science and engineering.
But hard facts carry no such weight among politicians as magic words like "diversity" -- a word repeated endlessly, without one speck of evidence to back up its sweeping claims of benefits. It too is part of the Supreme Court fraud, going back to a 1978 decision that seemingly banned racial quotas -- unless the word "diversity" was used instead of "quotas."
Seeming to ban racial preferences, while letting them continue under another name, was clever politically. But the last thing we need in Washington are nine more politicians, wearing judicial robes.
