Democratic Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse did not cite evidence to back up his allegations. But speaking to the hosts of the “Skullduggery” podcast, the Democrat said that an investigation should be opened into whether President Donald Trump’s Republican allies sought to “impede and throw sticks into the spokes of the dirty cop-Mueller investigation.” “It definitely needs to be investigated, in my view,” Whitehouse said on the podcast, which is hosted by Yahoo’s Michael Isikoff. “Whether it amounts to criminal conduct or not, clearly the efforts of the House Republicans were designed to impede and throw sticks into the spokes of the dirty cop-Mueller investigation.”....

On Sunday night, Israeli forces rained missiles down on Iranian forces based in the Damascus area “for nearly an hour”... According to the IDF, this was a response to “dozens” of missiles that were fired by Iranian forces in Syria toward targets in Israel earlier that day. The Israelis were able to intercept the Iranian missiles, but if any of them had gotten through they could have caused a tremendous amount of damage. Some of the missiles that Israel fired at the Iranians were reportedly intercepted, but quite a few of them did hit their intended targets. If the violence continues to escalate, we could potentially soon be talking about an all-out war between Israel and Iran in which both sides use their weapons of mass destruction. The missile strikes against Iranian targets in Damascus made headlines all over the globe. According to Syrian state media, there were “consecutive waves of guided missiles”… Syrian state media cited a Syrian military source as saying Israel launched an “intense attack through consecutive waves of guided missiles”, but that Syrian air defenses destroyed most of the “hostile targets”. The Syrians are boasting that they were able to destroy quite a few of the Israeli missiles, but independent observers confirm that quite a few Iranian targets were destroyed....

Prepared To “Eliminate Israel From Earth”

{freedomoutpost.com} ~ An Iranian air force commander has warned that the country is prepared to “eliminate Israel from Earth.” Tehran’s fighting words come just after Israel launched air raids... on alleged Iranian targets inside Syria, killing 4 Syrian soldiers. Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), issued the provocative statement to the Young Journalist Club news agency, according to reports from the Iranian media. Should Iran attempt to eliminate Israel from Earth, however, a third world war would be the most likely result. According to RT, the commander said: “the young people in the air force are fully ready and impatient to confront the Zionist regime and eliminate it from the Earth! Our future generations are learning required know-how for the promised day to destroy Israel!” Nazirzaheh implied that Iran’s high level of military preparedness has deterred the country’s enemies from attacking the Islamic Republic. But they aren’t above verbal aggression. Israel has defended its actions against Syria. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the air raid against Syria as retribution against those who wish to destroy Israel.“We are operating both against Iran and against the Syrian forces that are abetting the Iranian aggression,” Netanyahu said in a speech. “We will strike at anyone who tried to harm us. Whoever threatens to eliminate us, bears full responsibility.”....
What Separates Violence From Nonviolence?by Nate Jackson: El Paso, Texas, and Juarez, Mexico, are neighboring cities separated only by a border wall. Juarez is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. El Paso has a low crime rate. The only thing separating the violence from the nonviolence is a border wall.
Now Texas congresswoman Veronica Escobar, who replaced Beto O'Rourke, thinks that wall should come down. “We know that walls don’t work, that they don’t stop drugs, that they don’t stop migration.” But when asked if she would tear down that wall, she responded, “You know I, I, it’s, it’s really ugly. It, it, it is I think a monument to division.” Yeah, division between violence and non-violence.
Former Border Patrol chief Mark Morgan, who we quoted last week as supporting the wall, lives in El Paso. “I see a lot of the pundits talking and they have never been to the border, and they never talk to the experts, and they’re absolutely dismissing the facts,” said Morgan.
“Wall work,” he asserts. “If you saw the previous caravans, what stopped them? What stopped them was a multi-layered strategy that the Border Patrol has been using for decades, and they say they need now. And that’s that trifecta of infrastructure, technology, and personnel.”
