Washington Post Covered Up Story Exonerating Kavanaugh

{ thepoliticalinsider.com } ~ Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Ford called for the FBI to investigate her allegations of sexual misconduct... and the fact that such an investigation would be out of the Bureau’s jurisdiction would be the least of her worries. For starters, an FBI investigation examining allegations surrounding an event that happened in the 1980s would simply involve  interviewing all witnesses identified. When the FBI investigated sexual misconduct allegations against Clarence Thomas which were in their jurisdiction, as they alleged to have occurred in Federal buildings, the investigation amounted to interviewing witnesses. So, more importantly, such an investigation would only solidify a case against Ford. How do I know that? Because every single witness to the alleged Kavanaugh incident has denied that it occurred – and each of them denied as much under oath. Two of the four witnesses who denied Ford’s account share her left-wing politics. The only person who still has yet to offer any sort of testimony under oath is Christine Ford. And that’s not all. We’re just learning that the Washington Post deliberately withheld witness testimony that exonerates Kavanaugh. The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberly Strassel blew the lid off that secrecy last night in an explosive series of posts she made public on Twitter. It has to do with Leland Ingham Keyser, a friend of Christine Ford who contradicted her account. Despite that contradiction, the Washington Post excluded that very fact and played Keyser off as a forgetful friend. So, why did the Post report that it was four boys at the party, in contradiction with what Ford told them? Because the Post did interview the one girl Ford said was present, and it contradicted her narrative...

NYT: Kavanaugh has calendars from
1982 that could negate assault allegations

{ theblaze.com } ~ Brett Kavanaugh has located his personal calendars from the summer of 1982, and they could be used to exonerate him of accusations made by Christine Blasey Ford... the New York Times reported Sunday. Kavanaugh plans to hand the documentation over to the Senate Judiciary Committee this week. The calendars  reportedly do not list a party mentioned by Ford in her accusation. Kavanaugh’s team has admitted they do not disprove anything. For example, he could have attended a party that is not listed. But his team will argue to senators that they also offer no proof of her claim that he allegedly pinned her to a bed and attempted to remove her clothing, the report notes. The New York Times stated it examined the calendar pages from June, July and August of 1982, which detail that Kavanaugh was for most of the summer either out of town, at the beach or away with his parents. Included on the calendars are “basketball games, movie outings, football workouts and college interviews.” A few parties are listed but do not show names of friends mentioned by Blasey, the report stated. Senators are trying to confirm or deny Blasey’s account of the alleged sexual assault. She has said she cannot recall the exact day or location, but believes it was in the summer of 1982. Blasey has also said she was wearing a bathing suit with other clothing on top of it. Kavanaugh has denied the allegations. Blasey’s sexual assault allegation is slowing down what was seemed to be a swift path to confirmation for Kavanaugh...

Caught On Audio: Ford Adviser Ricki Seidman
Plotted To ‘Defeat’ Kavanaugh Nomination In July

{ thepoliticalinsider.com } ~ If Christine Blasey Ford’s accusation against Judge Brett  Kavanaugh wasn’t suspicious enough already, now audio has emerged of her adviser, Ricki Seidman... describing a plot to “ultimately defeat” Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. The audio, which was recorded by the Republican National Committee’s War Room, was taken from a July conference call between Seidman and the American Constitution Society. In the tape, Seidman states that “over the coming days and weeks there will be a strategy that will emerge” that “might ultimately defeat” Kavanaugh. “And whether or not it ultimately defeats the nominee it will, I think, help people understand why it’s so important that they vote,” Seidman concludes. Again, Seidman  made these oddly prescient comments in July – just two months before Ford’s assault allegation against Kavanaugh emerged. Listen below...

CAIR Chief to Meet with Turkish and Iranian Presidents
by John Rossomando

{ investigativeproject.org } ~ Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani invited Nihad Awad, the Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) executive director... to meet with them in New York during this week's U.N. General Assembly meeting. "It's not about photo ops for me," Awad  wrote on Twitter. "It's about real issues and people's lives. Please engage and tell me what issues and questions I should raise." It marks the third straight year Awad meets Erdogan around the UN session, joining U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) leaders last year and with two dozen other Islamists in 2016. "...It makes you wonder what Awad gets in return from Erdogan's government," said exiled Turkish journalist Abdullah Bozkurt, who noted Erdogan has jailed 60,000 opponents. Despite Erdogan's increasing authoritarian actions, Awad and his organization have held Erdogan's Turkey out as a beacon of democracy. While Awad has been warm toward Turkey and Erdogan, his relations with Iran have been different. He attended a 2009 meeting with then-President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but skipped similar meetings with Hassan Rouhani in protest of Iran's support for Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. He apparently  lambasted Rouhani during a 2016 meeting, blaming Iran for Syrian bloodshed and denouncing Iran for promoting sectarianism. Erdogan will be in New York until Thursday. He spoke over the weekend at several events sponsored by the Turkish American National Steering Committee (TASC)...  https://www.investigativeproject.org/7631/cair-chief-to-meet-with-turkish-and-iranian

Kavanaugh Accuser Christine Blasey Ford
Indicates She May Not Testify After All

{ thepoliticalinsider.com } ~ Christine Blasey Ford is set to give the whole game away and then some... This Thursday, the woman who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault is set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Ford alleges that Kavanaugh forcibly groped her at a party while both were in high school. So far, no eyewitnesses corroborate her account. Everything up until this point has shown that Ford isn’t exactly a scrupulous truth-teller just out trying to do the right thing. She initially refused to testify, despite her attorney claiming she would before. Then, once agreeing to testify, she claimed that she had a fear of flying, which could delay her getting to Washington, D.C., despite vacationing in the “mid-Atlantic” region just months prior. Additionally, Ford released a list of demands for the Senate Judiciary Committee to fulfill to guarantee her testimony. This list, which included the ludicrous ask that Kavanaugh testifies before her, was largely accepted. Some suspected it was a ploy to delay the hearing even longer. But now, thank the heavens and stars, Ford is finally trekking out to Washington to tell her story. The Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee have done everything within reason to accommodate her. dummycrats-Democrats have played the loyal opposition by behaving like spoiled brats, crying over every step that moves this process forward. Oh, and not to mention deliberate sabotage. So, with everything riding on Thursday’s hearing, it looks like Ford may be getting cold feet. At least, that’s the speculation after Ford’s attorney, a rabid dummycrats-Democrat, released the following letter... It’s all a sham.

Air Force Expansion Is Only a Beginning

by Harold Hutchison:  At the 2018 Air Space Cyber Exposition held by the Air Force Association in National Harbor, Maryland, some big news broke. Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson called for the addition of 74 more squadrons, according to the Air Force Times. The purpose is to be more prepared for war with “a major power” (read Russia or Communist China).

Of these new squadrons, five would be for bombers (most likely the forthcoming B-21 Raider), seven would be for fighters (F-35s being the most likely option), one would be for transport planes (like the C-17 Globemaster III), two would be for drones like the MQ-9 Reaper that got justice for Malala, 14 would be for tankers (probably the new KC-46), seven would be space squadrons (likely head over to the new Space Force), nine would be for combat search-and-rescue (flying HH-60 Pave Hawks and C-130s), and seven would be special-operations squadrons. There are also plans to add 22 squadrons for command, control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.
How to view this? A good start. But only a start. Even if this expansion takes place, there would only be 62 fighter squadrons. We’ve seen a constant decline in the force structure of the Air Force since the end of the Cold War. In 1989, there were far more units, as this order of battle notes. We had 24 squadrons of bombers and 131 fighter squadrons between the active Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard back then.
So, after this buildup, we’d still have less than half the number of fighter squadrons than what we had at the end of the Cold War. Of course, thanks to precision-guided weapons, today’s fighters can hit more targets, but there is a problem — each plane needs to be more than in two places at once. That’s going to be problematic, to say the least, against Russia and China.
The fact is, numbers matter, and not just in the sense of matching the enemy plane-for-plane. With the exception of squadrons forward-deployed to places like South Korea and Europe, most of the squadrons rotate to operating theaters like Afghanistan and Iraq. More squadrons means that the units do not have to deploy as often.
That has two effects. First, with more time away from the front, it will improve readiness in the form of maintenance — keeping the fighters in top shape. The second advantage is that the units can train more as well, and their fighting edge will be sharper — either for a major war or for their next deployment.
A third effect could be to allow the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard to truly be what they were in the Cold War: A backup to the active force in the case of a major war, a reserve to throw into battle to help hold the line — or to tip the fight in our favor. But that’s not what it is today. Presently, these units are in a regular deployment rotation — one that is on a longer scale than the active-duty units, but still counted on to fill certain roles on a regular basis. As a result, our ability to deter aggression has been compromised.
Now, there is still that fighter squadron gap between 131 and 62. How would we get the planes to fill out those 69 additional squadrons? The answer comes in restarting production of two planes — the F-22 Raptor and the A-10 Thunderbolt. That should be done while continuing to build F-15E Strike Eagles (currently built for export customers). Similarly, the bomber force can be helped with getting the B-21 on the line, but also by re-starting B-1 Lancer production. As a side benefit to bolstering our force structure, this will also kick our economic recovery into high gear.
We did not get to the current state of our military overnight. While Secretary of Defense James Mattis has made a very good start in turning that around, readiness is not just about getting what we have in shape to fight — it’s about having enough forces so you can fight and deter other bad actors elsewhere.
