The Terrorist Caucus in the House

{ frontpagemag.com } ~ Representative Ilhan Omar is a Minnesota Democrat who has been in Congress four months and, courtesy of House Speaker Nancy Pulosi, sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee... where she has privileged access to classified American secrets. Omar recently caused a stir – one of many that have made her a focus of national attention - by describing the attack on America on 9/11, as an attack on Muslims. The 9/11 attack - the worst by foreigners on American soil since the British burned the White House in 1814 - was in fact the work of Islamic supremacists engaged in a global jihad or “holy war.” This war had been unilaterally declared on America – “the land of Jews and Crusaders” - by Osama bin Laden and his terrorist army, al-Qaeda three years earlier. Omar’s reference to the tragedy that befell Americans in September 2001 was revealing in itself. She prefaced it by complaining that Muslims in America were “second class citizens” who were denied the civil liberties afforded to other ethnic and religious groups. This was one of many lies in her brief comments. Then she invoked the massacre of 50 Muslims at worship by a deranged individual in New Zealand, while failing to mention the recent Muslim massacre of Filipino Christians at worship or the hundreds of attacks by Muslims on other religions since the beginning of the year. Then she referred to the 9/11 atrocity not as an “attack” but as a non-descript event whose real significance was that it led to the creation of CAIR – the Council on American Islamic Relations - which presents itself as a Muslim civil liberties organization, and on whose platform she was speaking. “CAIR was founded after 9/11,” she said, “because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”  The platform on which Omar made these repulsive claims – all of them false – was an organization created by the Muslim Brotherhood, the fountainhead of the Islamist jihad, and its terrorist offspring Hamas. As it happens the Brotherhood is the crucible doctrines that inspired Osama bin Laden and the terrorists responsible for 9/11. Omar has headlined multiple fund-raising events for CAIR, which is still headed by the same individuals who ran the Hamas entities, from which it was created. Even Omar’s statement that CAIR was created in response to alleged attacks on Muslims after 9/11 is false, since CAIR was created in 1994, seven years earlier. Her statement that all Muslims began losing their civil liberties because of 9/11 is also false – and insulting - since President Bush went out of his way to deny that 9/11 had any Islamic dimension, despite the overwhelming evidence that it did, and to protect the Muslim community from reprisals, which included shipping members of Osama bin Ladens’ family, who should have been interrogated, to the safety of Saudi Arabia for their protection. The number of incidents of Americans taking out their frustration and anger on Muslims at that time or since – if one considers the circumstances - is quite small. According to the FBI, American Jews are five times more likely than Muslims to be the victims of religious hate crimes – many of which have been incited by the poisonous anti-Israel propaganda spread by pro-Islamist groups like the Muslim Students Association and Students for Justice in Palestine, as well as by congresswoman Omar herself...   https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/273538/terrorist-caucus-house-david-horowitz

{dailycaller.com} ~ New York Rep. scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, falsely claimed in an interview on Sunday... that Donald Trump Jr. was offered stolen information in the infamous meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016. “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd failed to correct scumbag liar-Nadler when he made the inaccurate statement. “I do not understand why he didn’t charge Don Jr., and others in that famous meetings with criminal conspiracy,” scumbag liar-Nadler said of special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller in the interview. “They entered into a meeting of the minds to attend a meeting, to get stolen material on scumbag/liar-Hillary. They went to the meeting. That’s conspiracy, right there,” he added. Despite that claim, Trump Jr. was not offered stolen material before accepting the June 9, 2016 meeting.Trump Jr. accepted the meeting after a music publicist named Rob Goldstone emailed him on June 3, 2016 saying that a Russian attorney wanted to meet with the campaign to provide information about former Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s possible ties to Russia. Goldstone said that the lawyer “offered to provide the Trump Campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate scumbag/liar-Hillary and her dealings with Russia.” But nowhere did Goldstone claim that the information about scumbag/liar-Clinton was stolen...

Los Angeles Numbers Show 'Homelessness'

is Really a Substance Abuse and 

Mental Illness Problem

Except LA's own numbers keep showing that not having a home is a symptom of the problem. Not the problem... The current headline for the story is, "L.A. County’s homeless population is growing — but not as fast as they’re dying". The URL suggests a more realistic and less outrage-driven title. "la-me-ln-homeless-people-death-unsheltered-substance-abuse". Substance abuse is a common theme. Last year alone, 918 people died. And in the last five years, deaths have jumped 76%, outpacing the growth of the homeless population, according to an analysis of county coroner data by Kaiser Health News. So far, health officials and experts have been unable to pinpoint a single cause for the increase, but say rising substance abuse may be a major reason. Substance abuse and mental illness are the causes of most homelessness. That's why trying to offer living space doesn't work. Drugs and alcohol played a direct role in at least a quarter of the deaths of homeless people over the past five years, according to the analysis from the county coroner’s office. The substances also likely contributed to many more deaths, including those whose deaths were related to liver and heart problems. Raymond Thill was just 46 when he died last year of what his wife, Sherry Thill, called complications related to alcoholism. The couple had been homeless for many years before moving into a small apartment in South Los Angeles shortly before his death.  Thill said her husband often drank vodka throughout the day, and had been in and out of the hospital because of liver and other health problems. He tried rehab and she tried taking the alcohol away from him. Nothing worked. “His mind was set,” she said. “So I took care of him.” In the end, Thill said, cirrhosis left her husband jaundiced, swollen and unable to keep food down. These are tragic stories. And they have nothing to do with home availability...

US diplomat: 'Very, very possible' half

 of Venezuela's population flees Maduro regime

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro’s attempt to stay in power could ultimately drive half the country’s population to seek refuge abroad, according to a key U.S. diplomat... “Very, very, possible 15 million people leave,” Carlos Trujillo, the U.S. ambassador to the Organization of American States, told the Washington Examiner. “Right now, only four million have left, and four million has overwhelmed Colombia, Brazil, Chile, and Peru ... Imagine what eight million does. Imagine what 10 million does. Imagine what 12 million does.” That dire portrait, Trujillo suggested, guarantees that Maduro will not be able to withstand regional pressure to relinquish power. The regime has retained control of the military in the three months since President Trump and other major Western democracies recognized top opposition lawmaker Juan Guaidó as the legitimate interim president. Trujillo dismissed the idea that the momentum to oust Maduro is slowing, even if U.S. officials don’t have a quick-fix plan in place.“Military action is not happening right now, so diplomatic pressure and sanctions take time,” Trujillo said. “It takes time. You don’t feel the economic pinch day one or day two or month one or month two, but month six and seven and eight, when you’ve had a lot of poor spending decisions, those start racking up.” Trump imposed sanctions on Venezuela’s state-run oil company, PdVSA, in January. The administration also blacklisted four companies with vessels that ferry oil from Venezuela to the island regime. Earth Day 2019

Publius:  Today is Earth Day, the ecofascists’ favorite day of the year. Here are some excerpts from Mark Alexander’s 2010 essay on the real origin and use of this socialist celebration.

It’s that time of year again — that time when the northern hemisphere will be warming, as it has for millions of years, except during ice ages.

Since most of the world’s industrial capacity and economic wealth is located north of the equator, this means that the now-perennial onset of global warming hysteria is about to sprout into full bloom.

On 22 April 1970, Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-WI) founded “Earth Day” in order to launch an annual “teach in” about conservation and environmental concerns.

Of course, conservation is not a bad word — it even shares the same root word as “conservative.” Indeed, our family makes every effort to use energy and resources wisely. The “waste not, want not” principle is good economic practice.

However, the Left’s motives for “Earth Day” don’t stop at educating folks about conservation and environmental preservation. Those objectives provide cover for a much more sinister purpose — using ecological concern to justify all manner of government regulation and intervention.

It’s no small irony that Nelson founded “Earth Day” on the centenary of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin’s birthday, as it was the impetus for creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Nelson modeled his anti-capitalist protests after anti-Vietnam War demonstrations of that era, and the so-called “environmental movement” he helped spawn has devolved from a pack of unwashed adolescent peaceniks and malcontents into a slick, influential and well funded cadre of Lefty politicos. (This would be the same movement that protested against nuclear energy, which yields no carbon dioxide as a byproduct of energy production.)

Nelson’s cadre has managed, by way of the EPA, to implement an enormous hidden tax burden on the American people — more than a trillion dollars last year — in the form of runaway environmental regulations, which surreptitiously increase the prices of products and services.

And as far as climate change?

Bottom line: Human activity does affect the climate. Every time you exhale CO2, you increase the concentration of that minuscule greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, but if you want to make a positive impact upon the environment, don’t hold your breath. Roll up your sleeves and promote liberty and free enterprise, because, per capita, it is the free nations of the world that have the cleanest environments, and those with Socialist governments that have the worst.  ~The Patriot Post
