Congress Won’t Fund Nuclear Weapons Treaty Unless China, Russia Put in Crosshairs
by Adam Kredo } ~ Congress is moving to halt funding for a global nuclear arms pact until the Trump administration assures lawmakers that China and Russia will be held accountable for a massive expansion in their nuclear arsenals... according to a copy of the new legislation viewed by the Washington Free Beacon. With tensions between the United States and Russia running high over the impending end of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, known as New START, Republican leaders in Congress say they are prepared to halt all funding for a new version of this treaty until the Trump administration consents to include provisions combatting both Russia and China's nuclear expansion. To that end, the new legislation would "limit funding for any extension of the New START Treaty or any successor agreement unless the agreement includes the People's Republic of China and covers all strategic and non-strategic nuclear forces of the Russian Federation," according to the bill. China has not been party to past versions of the START agreement, drawing concern from lawmakers who see Beijing expanding its nuclear weapons arsenal without oversight, particularly at a time when the United States is seeking to reduce the size of its own arsenal. Russia, meanwhile, has been working to boost its own nuclear weapons program, including through the construction of intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and nuclear powered cruise missiles. The new legislation, which is being offered before the New START Treaty expires in February of 2021, would address these developments by requiring any new START agreement to be signed by China and also include "all strategic and non-strategic nuclear forces held by the Russian Federation," according to the legislation... What make you think that China or for that matter Russia agree to this agreement.
Minefield? If Barr Has Any Intention Of
Prosecuting FISA Abuses, He Should
Stay Clear Of IG Report
by Sara Carter } ~ As Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz is preparing his report on the FBI’s handling of its investigation into President Donald Trump’s campaign... he’s likely to reveal information derived from compelled statements of bureau and DOJ employees. According to several former FBI officials and legal experts, it could be a potential minefield for Attorney General William Barr if he reviews the report and intends to use compelled information in any criminal prosecution against senior officials for allegedly violating the law with regard to Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant, or other matters. Horowitz’s report will most likely contain extensive information derived from compelled statements of FBI and DOJ employees, and that’s a minefield for Barr to navigate in a subsequent criminal prosecution, former and current FBI officials told Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jeff Danik said “during nearly thirty years at the FBI investigating law enforcement abuses, by far my biggest concern was that evidence originating from an officer’s compelled internal affairs statement would inadvertently seep into my criminal investigation.” “It’s usually fatal,” added Danik. “He should immediately stop making public comments about his discussions and coordination with the IG” Multiple former and current FBI officials worried that Barr’s public comments regarding Horowitz’s investigation could affect future criminal prosecutions if the DOJ sought to bring charges. These law enforcement officials said at a very minimum, he should not be making public comments regarding the IG’s FISA investigation.“He should immediately stop making public comments about his discussions and coordination with the IG; he should establish a taint team in a government office far away from Main Justice and demand that his criminal investigative team sever all contact with any IG employee or any member of the taint team; the taint team should review exactly who was interviewed by the IG, which witnesses provided compelled statements probably the vast majority, and make sure to take serious steps to preserve the possibility of prosecuting FBI and DOJ officials if they committed wrongdoing,” said one former FBI official, who spoke on condition that they not be named. “After what the president and the country have been through, it would be a travesty for the guilty to get away with it because of governmental blundering.”...
Hunter loose lips-Biden’s China Deal Partners
Include Mobster Whitey Bulger’s Nephew,
hanoi-John Kerry’s Stepson
by Brent Scher } ~ Former vice president loose lips-Joe Biden's son Hunter loose lips-Biden partnered with infamous mobster Whitey Bulger's nephew and former secretary of state hanoi-John Kerry's stepson for his lucrative business deal with the Bank of China... according to reporter Peter Schweizer's latest boloose lips-ok. Schweizer points to the business deal with state-owned Bank of China, a $1.5 billion private equity investment, as a possible reason why the current presidential candidate has adopted a conciliatory attitude toward China. The lucrative deal between the Bank of China and Hunter loose lips-Biden's company was inked in 2013 just weeks after loose lips-Joe Biden brought his son along on an official trip to China. Schweizer also lays out the interesting cast of characters who partnered with loose lips-Biden for the deal, such as the Thornton Group consulting firm, which is headed by James Bulger. The son of Massachusetts state senator Billy Bulger, James is named after his uncle James "Whitey" Bulger, who was killed in prison late last year after a decades-long career in the mob that landed him on the FBI's Most Wanted list. Also partnered with loose lips-Biden is Chris Heinz, the stepson of hanoi-John Kerry. loose lips-Biden and Heinz control Rosemont Seneca Partners, the private equity firm that received billions of investment dollars from China. A representative for Heinz says his involvement in the deal has been "misreported." He says that neither he nor his firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, had any role in the deal. He says an unaffiliated second firm, Rosemont Seneca Bohai, is the firm doing business with Bank of China, and that Heinz is not involved. The representative also says Heinz has never been to China. Schweizer, whose latest book Secret Empires  examines the tactics used by political elites to accumulate wealth while in power, calls the timeline of Hunter loose lips-Biden's business dealings with China as his father shaped foreign policy from the White House "shocking," but points out that nobody knew enough to raise any questions...
AG Bill Barr Appoints U.S. Attorney John
Durham to Review Origin of Russia Investigation
by sundance } ~ Once again the New York Times is getting out ahead of the story to reveal Attorney General Bill Barr has instructed U.S. Attorney John Durham to review the origins of the 2016 DOJ and FBI surveillance of the Trump campaign... The appointment looks like a way to keep the sensitive inquiry within Barr’s control as opposed to appointing a special counsel. John H Durham, the U.S. attorney from Connecticut, has handled previous investigations into the intelligence community.Attorney General William P. Barr has assigned the top federal prosecutor in Connecticut to examine the origins of the Russia investigation, according to two people familiar with the matter, a move that President Trump has long called for but that could anger law enforcement officials who insist that scrutiny of the Trump campaign was lawful. John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, has a history of serving as a special prosecutor investigating potential wrongdoing among national security officials, including the F.B.I.’s ties to a crime boss in Boston and accusations of C.I.A. abuses of detainees. His inquiry is the third known investigation focused on the opening of an F.B.I. counterintelligence investigation during the 2016 presidential campaign into possible ties between Russia’s election interference and Trump associates. The department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, is separately examining investigators’ use of wiretap applications and informants and whether any political bias against Mr. Trump influenced investigative decisions. And John W. Huber, the United States attorney in Utah, has been reviewing aspects of the Russia investigation. His findings have not been announced...
Unapologetic worthless-Rashida Tlaib
issues a statement to make your skin crawl
by  This past week, worthless-Rashida Tlaib said she had a “calming feeling” about the Holocaust because her ancestors gave the victims a “safe haven.”... On a podcast, she said: “It was my ancestors – Palestinians – who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports,” she said. “And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time.” “And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”The context is what is important.  She said this to push the idea that we need to end the partition and make Israel and Palestine one nation. What worthless-Tlaib is doing is distorting history because she wants a one-state solution. She wants to use ‘democracy’ to establish a Palestinian state where Jews would become the minority and soon be vanquished. Her comments about feeling calm when she thinks about helping the Jewish people is a lie and she knows it. The Palestinians fought with the Germans in World War II. The Republican leadership demanded Democrat leadership do something about her anti-Semitism. Rep. Liz Cheney issued a strong statement and thinks Speaker Pulosi and Leader scumbag-Hoyer will finally take action. “This must cross the line, even for them,” she tweeted...
Federal Student Loans: From
'Profitable' to Indebted
Jordan Candler:  The Congressional Budget Office recently revealed some startling new figures regarding student loans. But first, let’s rewind. In 2017, the CBO — clearly looking through rose-colored glasses — stated that the government-managed student-loan program would garner a respectable $114 billion in revenue over the ensuing 10 years. Then, in 2018, that revenue estimate nosedived to just $8.7 billion. In other words, the $11.4 billion in estimated annual profits cratered to less than $1 billion.

But even that estimate proved ridiculously sugarcoated.

Now, the CBO is calculating a $31 billion deficit over the next 10 years. A Bloomberg Government report parsed this development as “a shift from past CBO forecasts that the government would profit from the program.” That’s not merely a shift. That’s a deviation of epic proportions.

Bloomberg Government provides some key explanations for the seismic shift:

While some of the increase can be attributed to interest rates, the bulk of the change has come from the cost of the almost $1.5 trillion in federal loans students already have outstanding. More loans are in default, and less is being collected on outstanding loans, according to the the department’s budget request. In addition, more borrowers than anticipated are enrolling in income-driven repayment plans. These allow borrowers to pay a percentage of their income for a set number of years, after which the remainder of the loan is forgiven.

Of course, anybody who understands the inescapable realities that come with federal spending already knew that student loans would not be profitable. As we  explained back in 2016, “Originally, the loan forgiveness program was meant to be available only for those students who applied for loans in 2014 and after, but then Barack scumbag/liar-nObama retroactively extended the benefit.” Predictably, that made a bad situation all the worse. As Bloomberg Government further notes, “About 30 percent of borrowers with direct federal loans, the most common type, were in income-driven repayment programs in fiscal 2018, a 29 percent increase from two years before, according to the Education Department.”

Now here’s the real kicker. Presidential candidates like Sen. Elizabeth dinky-Warren claim that universal “free” college is the way to ameliorate the problem. The cost of Warren’s proposal? At least $1.25 trillion. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again. In this case, the definition of insanity is letting politicians who created this mess throw taxpayers even further under the bus.  ~The Patriot Post

Joe Biden Talks To The Dead: – He Worked On Paris Climate Deal With Long-Dead Chinese Leader

Former Vice President Joe Biden mistakenly claimed on Monday that he worked on the Paris Climate Accord with former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping — who died more than 20 years before its signing.

Zach Parkinson

Joe Biden claimed tonight that he worked with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping on the Paris Climate Accord.

Except the current Chinese President is Xi Jinping.

Deng Xiapoing left office in 1992 and has been dead for 23 years.

Biden made the gaffe while citing his accomplishments in President Barack Obama’s administration.

“One of the things I’m proudest of is getting passed, getting moved, getting in control of the Paris Climate Accord,” Biden said in a speech at the College of Charleston. “I’m the guy who came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China will join if we put pressure on them. We got almost 200 nations to join.”

Xiaoping served as the leader of China from 1978 until his retirement in 1992, and passed away in 1997. Xi Jinping, China’s current president, came to power 2013 and signed the country onto the 2016 agreement.

In June 2017, President Trump announced that the U.S. would withdraw from the agreement, stating that accord will “undermine the economy” and “puts [the United States] at a permanent disadvantage.”

In addition to the Xiaoping gaffe, Biden bizarrely declared in a campaign speech that he is a “candidate for the United States Senate” and that people could “vote for the other Biden” if they prefer one of his rivals.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over, if you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden,” the 77-year-old said at the First in the South Dinner.

Biden’s confusing comments come as Democrat primary candidates are scheduled to debate in Charleston Tuesday evening. The former vice president faces increasing pressure to give a standout performance as his “firewall” in the Palmetto State crumbles in the face of a surging Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The Vermont senator is fresh off a decisive victory in Nevada caucuses on Saturday. Earlier this month, he placed first the New Hampshire primary and won the popular vote in Iowa. In a survey released Monday, the Public Policy Polling outfit said Biden leads South Carolina with 36 percent of support and Sanders is in second at 21 percent.
