{ americanthinker.com } ~ As I was about to begin writing about the sun shining on President Trump's re-election efforts, a dark cloud passed over my Twitter feed announcing that Rush Limbaugh has advanced lung cancer and will be taking time off for medical treatment... What terrible news for the 30 million–plus weekly "Ditto-heads," faithful listeners to his daily three-hour commentary on news, politics, sports, and popular culture. Rush "made the complex understandable," as he liked to say, using irreverent humor to make his points. It was effortless for Rush, doing all of this with "half his brain tied behind his back. "As a physician, hearing the words "advanced lung cancer" is frightening. There are different types of lung cancer, ranging from bad to worse to horrific, none of them a walk in the park. Advanced cancer often means that it is not removable surgically or else has spread to other parts of the body. The details are important to Rush, his family, and his physicians, but they are not important for us. For his listeners, who know Rush as a familiar voice on midday radio, all we know is that Rush has been abruptly removed from our lives, either temporarily or permanently, leaving an early afternoon void in our daily dose of the "Limbaugh Doctrine." I was introduced to Rush in the early 1990s through my staunchly conservative parents, long departed. They never experienced the lows of the scumbag/liar-nObama administration or the highs of the Trump presidency, but they faithfully listened to Rush every day, enjoying parodies of Ted Kennedy, "The Philanderer," and of Rush with his uncanny impression of Slick Willy, AKA scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton. I enjoyed watching his early-morning television show back in the '90s and purchased several of his trademark neckties. I read both of his books, The Way Things Ought to Be and See I Told You So. Both bestsellers were a conservative manifesto, explaining clearly and concisely the issues of the day. He laid out the goals of the radical environmental movement Environmental Whackos and the militant feminist movement Feminazis and, in his irreverent way, made fun of it all by saying he loves the women's movement, especially when walking behind it. Rush was a counterweight to the near monopoly of the left in mainstream media, from network and cable news networks to the once-upon-a-time prominent newspapers like the New York Times and Washington Post, all accurately described by Rush as the "Drive-By Media." Hopefully, "Maha Rushi," the "Mayor of Realville" and "Doctor of Democracy," will soon return to his spot, "on the cutting edge of societal evolution," showcasing his "talent on loan from God." Best wishes to Rush Limbaugh and his family, and Godspeed in his biggest challenge.  https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/02/godspeed_rush_limbaugh.html

{ nationalreview.com } ~ Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg leads the Iowa caucuses. With 62 percent of precincts reporting, the former South Bend, Ind. mayor leads in state delegates at 26.9 percent... with Senator commie-Bernie Sanders in second place at 25.1 New Hampshire percent. commie-Sanders, however, leads in the popular vote. Senator Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren came in third at 18.3 percent, while former vice president loose lips liar-Joe Biden, the national frontrunner until recently, took fourth place at 15.6 percent. Senator Amy Klobuchar garnered 12.6 percent support, tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang 1.1 percent, and billionaire philanthropist Tom Steyer 0.3 percent. Results from 38 percent of precincts have still not been released. Buttigieg declared victory Monday night before the officials results were released. “We don’t know all the results,” Buttigieg told supporters in his speech claiming a win. “But we know, by the time it’s all said and done, Iowa, you have shocked the nation, because by all indications, we are going on to victorious.” The New Hampshire primary will take place Tuesday of next week. The Iowa caucus was plagued by “inconsistencies” in reporting from local precincts as well as a glitch in the new smartphone app the state party was using to report results. The process was thrown in to disarray after the app failed and precinct managers tied up phone lines in their attempts to call state party officials to report results, only to be placed on hold for hours. Partial results were released almost a full day later on Tuesday evening. The Iowa Democratic Party apologized for the chaotic process at a news conference Tuesday afternoon. “The reporting of the results and circumstances surrounding the 2020 Iowa Democratic Party caucuses were unacceptable. As chair of the party I apologize deeply for this,” Iowa Democrats chair Troy Price said.   https://www.nationalreview.com/news/iowa-caucuses-pete-buttigieg-leading-with-62-percent-of-results-reported/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=breaking&utm_campaign=newstrack&utm_term=19354156
The Real Reason Arabs in Israel
Do Not Want to Live in 'Palestine'

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ Arab citizens of Israel, who number nearly two million, are up in arms about US President Donald Trump's plan for Middle East peace... which proposes including some of their communities in a future Palestinian state. Since the unveiling of the plan, thousands of Arabs have been demonstrating to express their rejection of the idea of placing them under the sovereignty of a Palestinian state. Trump's "Peace to Prosperity" plan proposes land swaps that could include both populated and unpopulated areas. It suggests that the so-called Triangle area in Israel, consisting of several Arab communities "which largely self-identify as Palestinian, become part of the State of Palestine." The plan points out that the Arab communities "were originally designated to fall under Jordanian control during the negotiations of the Armistice Line of 1949, but ultimately were retained by Israel for military reasons that have since been mitigated." Why are the 250,000 Arab Israelis living in the Triangle area strongly opposed to the idea of becoming part of a Palestinian state? The main reason Arabs in Israel are afraid of becoming Palestinian citizens is because they know that the Palestinian state will be anything but democratic. Many Arab citizens of Israel see how Palestinians living under the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank and Hamas in the Gaza Strip are subject to human rights violations on a daily basis. In Israel, Arab citizens participate in the general elections and have their own representatives in the Knesset. In the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Palestinians have been deprived of free and fair elections since January 2006. The continued power struggle between the PA and Hamas has denied Palestinians the right to vote for new members of their parliament, the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC). In addition, Palestinians have been denied the right to vote for a new president since January 2005, when Mahmoud Abbas was elected for a four-year term of office. Last month, Abbas entered the 16th year of the same term. In light of the ongoing dispute between the PA and Hamas, the prospects of holding new presidential or parliamentary elections remain zero...   https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15516/arab-israelis-peace-plan
liar-Pelosi Says Keeping Terrorists

by themadpatriots.com ~ One of our favorite things about President Trump is how easily he’s able to get Democrats to defend the most outrageous ideas. With his hardline “America First” policies, he’s convinced Democrats to support Iran... go to bat for illegal immigration, bash police, and even stand up for the practice of letting babies die on the operating table. As long as it puts them to the left of Trump, Democrats are willing to support and promote the sickest political platform in American history. It really is remarkable. This week, in the wake of Trump’s expanded travel ban, Democrats like House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi are basically telling us that they would rather let terrorists come into the country than to flirt with any policy that smacks of “discrimination.” “The Trump administration’s expansion of its outrageous, un-American travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law,” liar-Pelosi said in a statement. “The sweeping rule, barring more than 350 million individuals from predominantly African nations from traveling to the United States, is discrimination disguised as policy.” Ah, we’ve shifted from “Muslim-majority” nations to “predominately African. ”The new travel ban will keep current policies in place for Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen while adding six new dangerous countries: Burma, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Tanzania and Sudan. “With this latest callous decision, the President has doubled down on his cruelty and further undermined our global leadership, our Constitution and our proud heritage as a nation of immigrants,” loiar-Pelosi said. Really, liar-Nancy? It’s our “heritage” to be a welcoming station for hordes of permanent immigrants from Sudan? You can’t be serious. This has nothing to do with being “callous” or cruel or racist. This expanded travel ban merely targets countries who, for whatever reason, cannot provide the U.S. with enough documentation and information about their visa-seekers to allow for complete vetting. To keep letting immigrants from these countries move to the U.S. would be to throw our national security to the wind. It would be to simply cross our fingers and hope for the best. You want us to do that just so we can pat ourselves on the back for being politically correct? Hopefully voters are watching carefully, because this is exactly the kind of dangerous nonsense that Democrats will bring to the White House if they win in November. liar-Pelosi is one sick person and must be removed from Congress.  http://www.themadpatriots.com/politics/pelosi-says-keeping-terrorists-out-of-america-is-discrimination/

{ foxnews.com } ~ The Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) still has not reported official vote totals in the critical Iowa Caucuses as of early Tuesday morning... in a largely unexplained and unprecedented delay that has raised questions about the legitimacy of the contest — and Democratic campaign officials are livid, Fox News has learned. The Trump campaign, meanwhile, openly suggested that the delay meant that the caucuses were being "rigged," and that the embarrassing night proved that the Democratic Party can't be trusted to run Americans' health care and implement sweeping new government programs. Even if a winner were ultimately announced, the chaos and confusion has seemingly erased any hope for the major momentum boost that would normally result. "We found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results," the IDP said in a statement at 11:30 p.m. EST. "In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report. This is simply a reporting issue. The app did not go down and this is not a hack or an intrusion. The underlying data and paper trail is sound and will simply take time to further report the results." Fox News is told that during an initial conference call with the campaigns, an IDP representative said the party would be "getting photos of the paper results sent over," but didn't answer any questions and then hung up on all the campaigns, even as frustrated staffers pushed for answers. A campaign staffer told Fox News the IDP's brief call was "crazy." Another campaign official told Fox News, “Yes, they did hang up.” During a second, equally contentious conference call early Tuesday morning, the IDP reportedly informed campaigns they could expect results sometime later on Tuesday, but gave no information about how the results would be verified or when precisely they would be published. The 2016 Iowa caucus tallies were provided on the same day of voting, with more than 90 percent of precincts reporting by 11:00 p.m. ET that year. Speaking on a brief call with reporters at approximately 1:10 a.m. ET on Tuesday that lasted a little over a minute, the IDP said the system to validate electoral results was taking longer than expected, but that there had been no hack or intrusion. The IDP did not specify a precise time for results to post on Tuesday...

{ explainlife.com } ~ Democrats continue to look for ways to restrict President Donald Trump’s role as commander-in-chief after he approved a decisive airstrike last month that killed Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani... Soleimani played a critical role in killing thousands of American soldiers and innocent civilians over the years. Soon after the airstrike, Democrats and their allies in the media immediately sided with Iran and claimed the president didn’t have the legal authority to “approve” the airstrike. Late last week, the Democratic-controlled House approved two more resolutions — mostly along party lines —  that placed restrictions on the president’s ability to take military action against Iran without congressional approval. The legislation would prohibit Trump from using federal funds to strike Iran without prior approval, and repeal an 18-year-old law that he and his advisers have cited to justify killing a top Iranian general earlier this month. Both measures are expected to face difficult odds in the Senate, where GOP leaders can easily block them from coming to the floor for a vote.  Beyond that, this is the latest pathetic example of how far Democrats will go to obstruct the president...   https://explainlife.com/pelosi-doubles-down-house-passes-it-228-to-175-19707/?utm_source=Explainlife.com%20Newsletter&utm_medium=email
“NUMEROUS HISTORIANS AND LEGAL
EXPERTS” ARE WRONG
ABOUT IMPEACHMENT
by Paul Mirengoff
{ powerlineblog.com } ~ Among those who write for the Washington Post’s news pages, Philip Rucker is arguably the most vicious and dishonest when it comes to President Trump... Rucker’s latest anti-Trump article is called in the paper edition “Probable acquittal of Trump will have long-term effects.” The subtitle is “Senate lowering bar for presidents’ permissible conduct, historians say.” In the body of the article, Rucker claims that this view is supported by “numerous historians and legal experts.” Who are these “historians”? Rucker’s article cites only two: Jon Meacham and Timothy Naftali, both Trump haters. Who are these “legal experts”? Rucker doesn’t cite any. This failure is probably a function of laziness by Rucker. Given the widespread hatred of Trump in academia, Rucker could have found “numerous historians and legal experts” to back his claim that the Senate, when it acquits Trump, will lower the bar on what conduct is impeachable.  The claim is nonsense, though. Trump was impeached without any allegation that he committed a crime or violated a statute. No president has ever been impeached without a crime or statutory violation in the picture. Andrew Johnson was accused of violating a statute that carried a possible prison sentence. scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton was accused of perjury. The articles of impeachment against Richard Nixon alleged conduct that could be charged as criminal in an ordinary court.  Trump stands accused, in essence, of making substantive U.S. foreign policy decisions based on his desire to be reelected president. No president has ever been impeached for this. Nor is Trump the first president to base an important aspect of his foreign policy on electoral concerns. Barack scumbag/liar-nObama, among other presidents, did it — or says he did...   https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/02/numerous-historians-and-legal-experts-are-wrong-about-impeachment.php?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+powerlineblog%2Flivefeed+%28Power+Line%29
