"The United States critical national infrastructure faces a present and continuing existential threat from combined-arms warfare, including cyber and man made electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack, and natural EMP from a solar superstorm," says a recently published report from the congressional Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack." Once largely a concern of a Cold War surprise attack from Russia to shut down American nuclear forces communications, the spread of nuclear weapons has increased the danger of disruptive EMP attack from a nuclear burst in the upper atmosphere. "Within the last decade, newly nuclear-armed adversaries, including North Korea, have been developing the ability and threatening to carry out an EMP attack against the U.S.," the report said...

'Blue wave' warning: dummycrats-Dems poised 

to slash defense spending

(also the wall)... The more a prospective blue wave erodes Republican majorities in Congress in midterm elections, the greater the pain is likely to be for military contractors who profited handsomely from the "Trump bump" in U.S. stock markets. A dummycrats-Democratic  takeover of the House of Representatives could lead to shares in publicly traded weapons-makers falling by 2 percent, predicted Robert Spingarn, a New York-based analyst with Credit Suisse. If the party wins both chambers, the slide could widen to 3 percent or more. While the immediate impact would be limited by the considerable growth in the 2018 and 2019 federal budgets, a "dummycrats-Democratic takeover could be a net negative for the medium-term growth story in defense, and perhaps more importantly, for sentiment in the market," Spingarn noted in a report. dummycrats-Democrats, while willing to spend heavily on defense at times of crisis, can be less supportive when trying to fund other priorities, he noted. And Rep. Adam Smith, the Washington dummycrats-Democrat likely to become chairman of the House Armed Services Committee in a dummycrats-Democratic takeover, has already said defense spending is too high...

U.S. Warships Transit Taiwan Strait

{freebeacon.com} ~ Two Navy warships transited the Taiwan Strait on Monday in a show of force in Pentagon efforts to push back against China's expansive claims to control waters near the communist mainland... Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Chris Logan said the guided missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur and the guided missile cruiser USS Antietam took part in the passage operation "in accordance with international law." "The ships' transit through the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the U.S. commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific," Logan said. "The U.S. Navy will continue to fly, sail, and operate anywhere international law allows." The passage was the second transit through the 100-mile strait this year and highlights intensified U.S. military operations on both the sea and in the air aimed at challenging Chinese claims to sovereignty over regional international waters near its coasts. The last strait passage by a U.S. warship took place in July. Migrant Caravan From Guatemala

{legalinsurrection.com} ~ The Daily Caller has reported that Univision correspondent Santa Anna, a reporter traveling with the migrant caravan that’s moving into Mexico from Guatemala... noticed people from Bangladesh within the massive crowd of migrants: “Yesterday when we were traveling through Guatemala, we noticed people from El Salvador and even people from Bangladesh,” he continued. “Can you imagine what they had to do to get here? They infiltrated themselves in this caravan and tried to cross with the crowd. That would have benefited them greatly.” Bangladesh remains a hot spot for ISIS and other terrorist groups. The Bangladeshis, he said, were detained in an immigration facility, though it’s not clear what happened to them after their detention. “The borders in Central American are not as strong as the U.S., which makes it possible for people from Panama and Ecuador to cross easily,” Santa Anna said on Univision. “They cross from Costa Rica, then later go through Guatemala and eventually make it into our country.”...

Explosive device found at scumbag-George Soros’ home: report

{foxnews.com} ~ An explosive device was found on Monday at the  New York home of billionaire scumbag-George Soros... Bedform police said the department received a phone call from the scumbag-Soros residence in Westchester County about a suspicious package. An employee that works at the home found the package and opened it, revealing what appeared to be an explosive device, according to a press release from the Bedford Police Department. The employee then placed the package in a wooded area until authorities arrived. The department told Fox News that a suspicious package was found in a mailbox. The package contained bomb components, police said. Police referred Fox News to the F.B.I's New York office, which did not confirm the report. scumbag-Soros was not home at the time of the incident, according to the New York Times. The bomb squad deactivated the device, and authorities have said there is no further threat to the area...
