Low Gas Prices? nObama Says, 'You're Welcome'
As we've noted on numerous occasions, U.S. oil production is up and demand is down, leading to lower prices. Increased production is taking place entirely on private lands, yet, once again, Barack nObama is happy to take the credit. On Friday, he told a crowd of adoring supporters, "We're as free of foreign oil as we've been in 30 years. We've doubled the amount of clean energy that we're producing. A lot of families are saving a lot of money at the gas pump, which is putting some smiles on folks' faces." His remarks received a smattering of chuckles and applause, to which he arrogantly responded, "You're welcome." His policies have nothing to do with lower gas prices. Indeed, those lower prices have happened despite his best efforts. He did warn, "[A]t some point, [gas prices] are going to go back up." He has plans... -The Patriot Post
2015 National Security Gives America the Blues
Recent terrorist attacks serve as a gruesome reminder that Jihadistan remains a critical threat. In fact, at no other time in history have jihadis controlled such vast swaths of land and boasted such a powerful upper hand. Sadly, rising turmoil has done nothing to sway Barack nObama, who only reaffirmed he's content to keep the issue on the back burner. His latest
national security blueprint contains phony diversions like global warming and homosexual rights, while underestimating the world's greatest enemy. According to the Associated Press, "nObama says the United States must resist the urge to 'overreach' abroad, as he outlined a new national security strategy
Friday that is meant to serve as a blueprint for his final two years in office. The 29-page document hews closely to n
Obama's long-held views of America's role in the world and forecasts no major shifts in the military campaign against Islamic State militants or in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine." That's rich, coming from a man who oversteps his constitutional authority every opportunity he can get. These "national security" protocols literally aren't worth the paper they're written on.

Purple Hearts for Fort Hood Victims
After the nObama administration spent years calling Nidal Hasan's murderous attack at Fort Hood an episode of "workplace violence," and thus denying Purple Hearts for the victims, sanity has finally prevailed. Announcing the decision, Secretary of the Army John McHugh wrote, "The Purple Heart's strict eligibility criteria had prevented us from awarding it to victims of the horrific attack at Fort Hood. Now that Congress has changed the criteria, we believe there is sufficient reason to allow these men and women to be awarded and recognized. It's an appropriate recognition of their service and sacrifice." Rep. John Carter (R-TX) fought long and hard to win this battle against foolish political correctness. "The victims of this attack have struggled, suffered and been abandoned by this Administration," he said. "No more. Today is a day of victory and I am honored to have fought on their behalf." Clearly, Hasan was in contact with foreign terrorists, and shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he pulled the trigger. No jihadi is a lone-wolf, and Hasan's rampage was a terrorist attack on our men and women in uniform -- they deserve appropriate recognition.

Eric Holder's Biggest Failure: No Gun Control
The outgoing attorney general certainly tried. First, there was Operation Fast and Furious, the program that was supposed to track how U.S. guns were making their way to Mexican cartels. Then, Eric Holder pressured the FDIC to dry up the loans going to the firearm industry using
Operation Choke Point, skirting Congress and the open lawmaking process. There was even the political push to pass federal gun control because of the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012. It was the latter that Holder points to as the greatest failure of his tenure at the Department of Justice. Holder told MSNBC
Sunday, "Well, I'll say this, [viewing the aftermath of Sandy Hook] was the worst day I had as attorney general. It is, I think, the single failure that I point to in my time as attorney general that I was not able to ... convince Congress to really follow the will of the American people -- which was to enact meaningful, reasonable gun-safety measures. The gun lobby simply won." In other words, Liberty was preserved, despite a partisan attorney general with an agenda.
More... -The Patriot Post Brian Disappears as More Disinformation Emerges In response to the allegations that he lied about embellishing an Iraq war story, celebrity NBC anchor Brian Williams took a leave of absence and canceled an appearance on David Letterman's "Late Show" to lay low until this whole scandal blows over. "As Managing Editor of NBC Nightly News," he wrote in a statement, "I have decided to take myself off of my daily broadcast for the next several days. ... Upon my return, I will continue my career-long effort to be worthy of the trust of those who place their trust in us." However, Williams' stories of braggadocio continue to multiply and grow. Ed Morrissey at Hot Air theorizes that the reason NBC staffers have not come forward to contradict or confirm Williams' Iraq war story is that they edited the footage to suggest their chopper was attacked. Combined with the possibly embellished accounts of Williams witnessing Hezbollah rockets and claiming to see a dead body floating in the French Quarter after Hurricane Katrina, Williams is demonstrating a gonzo streak more at home in Rolling Stone. -The Patriot Post
