Trump to remove China from currency
manipulator list as trade deal finalized
by Sean Higgins
{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ The Trump administration will stop labeling China as a currency manipulator as a goodwill gesture to Beijing. The announcement comes two days before Beijing officials are due in Washington... to sign "phase one" of a trade deal with the United States. "China has made enforceable commitments to refrain from competitive devaluation, while promoting transparency and accountability," said Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. The administration officially designated  China as a currency manipulator in August. The Treasury Department stated that China had a long history of manipulating its currency "through protracted, large-scale intervention" in exchange markets and had lately taken "concrete steps" to devalue it. Trump has long accused China artificially adjusting the yuan's value, making that an issue in his 2016 White House bid. "China is intent on continuing to receive the hundreds of Billions of Dollars they have been taking from the U.S. with unfair trade practices and currency manipulation. So one-sided, it should have been stopped many years ago!" he said in an August tweet. Nevertheless, the administration resisted applying the label to China until last year, saying its actions didn't fit the technical definition. That changed following a breakdown in trade talks between Beijing and the White House over the summer. China was labeled a currency manipulator the same day in August that Beijing's commerce ministry announced that it had stopped buying U.S. agricultural goods. The White House claimed in mid-December that it had reached a deal with Beijing on currency as part of the "phase one" agreement, but did not divulge the specific details. Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer slammed the White House for the move. "China is a currency manipulator — that is a fact. Unfortunately, President Trump would rather cave to President Xi than stay tough on China," he said.  https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/economy/trump-to-remove-c...

McConnell denounces Democratic
war powers resolution
by Susan Ferrechio
{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he would oppose a war powers resolution Democrats plan to bring up for debate as soon as Tuesday... as part of their effort to curb President Trump’s military action against Iran. “We appear to have restored some measure of deterrence in the Middle East, so let’s not screw it up,” McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, said on Monday. Sen. Tim Kaine, a Virginia Democrat, is expected to bring up a war powers resolution as soon as Tuesday. It would require the president to withdraw military operations against Iran within 30 days unless Congress authorizes further action. The House passed a nonbinding version last week. McConnell said he “will strongly oppose” the Kaine measure and said the chamber should hold hearings and write “more tailored legislation” if lawmakers want to have a say in U.S. military action in the Middle East. “I would urge all of our colleagues to consider what message the Senate should send to Iran and the world at the very moment that America’s actions are challenging the calculus in Iran for the better.” McConnell accused Democrats of a “head-spinning” double standard. They did not challenge President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s airstrikes in Libya, he said, or the efforts to fight terrorism in Syria and Iraq. “For years now, I have wanted the Senate to go on the record about our military presence in Syria and Iraq,” McConnell said. “I’m glad my Democratic colleagues will finally be interested in having that discussion rather than ducking it.”

Trump Calls Out FBI Director Chris Wray After Responding To FISA Abuse Claims,
“Are These Dirty Cops Going To Pay?”
By Jim Hayek
{ americantruthtoday.com } ~ While Americans are waiting and waiting for Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham to finish their criminal probe into the origins of the FBI’s coup attempt against President Donald Trump... the bureau’s director issued a limp-wristed, wholly inappropriate response to a huge part of that bogus probe earlier this week. FBI Director Christopher Wray announced that, in the wake of “Spygate,” where senior agents up to and including the former director and deputy director, launched a bogus “investigation” into a presidential campaign based on fabricated ‘evidence’ and ‘intelligence,’ there were “errors” committed and as such, agents will have to undergo additional…training. And he’s having a video made that agents will have to sit through. As if the entire coup attempt was nothing more than just a series of goofs, accidents…people not really knowing or understanding what they were doing…when they were literally attempting to overthrow a duly elected president. For the first time in our history. It’s a disgrace of the first order and it’s nowhere near good enough. The president himself called out Wray on Saturday. He wants to know why Wray is allowing “dirty cops” who still work for him to get away with what they’ve done.“‘FBI Director apologizes for FISA Errors of which there were far to many to be a coincidence!.’ @FoxNews Chris, what about all of the lives that were ruined because of the so-called ‘errors?’ Are these ‘dirty cops’ going to pay a big price for the fraud they committed?”...

NAS Pensacola shooting was an 'act of
terrorism', Barr says; US to expel 21
Saudi nationals in training program
By Greg Norman
{ foxnews.com } ~ The shooting carried out by a Saudi aviation student at Naval Air Station Pensacola in December was an "act of terrorism,"... Attorney General William Barr said Monday as officials released their findings from their investigation into the attack. Barr said the gunman, identified as Royal Saudi Air Force 2nd Lt. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, was "motivated by jihadist ideology." His comments came as the U.S. was expelling 21 Saudi nationals living in America who, like Alshamrani, trained with the U.S. military at facilities including NAS Pensacola. Senior Justice Department officials told Fox News the 21-year-old shooter left a "trail of extremism" in the days and weeks leading up to the attack "During the course of the investigation, we learned that the shooter posted a message on September 11, 2019 stating, ‘the countdown has begun,’" Barr said. "During the Thanksgiving weekend, he then visited the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. "He also posted other anti-American, anti-Israeli and jihadi messages on social media, including two hours before his attack," Barr added. Alshamrani ultimately killed three U.S. sailors and severely wounding eight other Americans in the Dec. 6 attack, according to Barr. Most of the 21 cadets being expelled "had some kind of contact with child pornography" and social media containing "some jihadi or anti-American content," the attorney general said. "However, there was no evidence of any affiliation or involvement with any terrorist activity or group," he added...

Iran Disobeys Trump’s Stern Warning
by wethepeopledaily.com ~ President Trump issued a powerful warning on Sunday to Iran as leaders in Tehran were gearing up to deal with protesters who took to the streets after the government admitted... to accidentally shooting down a Ukrainian passenger jet which contained Iranian civilians. “To the leaders of Iran – DO NOT KILL YOUR PROTESTERS,” Trump tweeted. “Thousands have already been killed or imprisoned by you, and the World is watching. More importantly, the USA is watching.” He added: “Turn your internet back on and let reporters roam free! Stop the killing of your great Iranian people!” Despite the clear warning, disturbing videos have emerged online Monday that show Iranian police and security forces raining live fire rounds upon demonstrators protesting the Islamic Republic in response to the country shooting down a passenger airline. There was no immediate report in Iranian state-run media on the incident near Azadi, or Freedom, Square in Tehran, but, if true, could be seen as an act of defiance against President Trump’s warning to the regime against the use of deadly force. Security forces were deployed in large numbers across the capital on Sunday in hopes of quelling demonstrations. Riot police in black uniforms and helmets massed in Vali-e Asr Square and at Tehran University and other landmarks as calls circulated for protests to be held later in the day...  https://wethepeopledaily.com/2020/01/13/just-in-iran-disobeys-trump...

Another Waste of Time

Gary Bauer

On Thursday the House of Representatives passed a worthless resolution telling President Trump that he could not take out terrorists like Iranian General Qassem Soleimani without permission from Congress.

Why do I say the resolution is worthless? Because it was a purely symbolic, non-binding resolution with no legal impact. In fact, at least one House Democrat, Rep. Max Rose of New York, opposed the measure precisely because it was meaningless. Rose said:

Unfortunately, today’s War Powers resolution is a non-binding resolution that simply restates existing law… I refuse to play politics with questions of war and peace and therefore will not support this resolution.

Just like the impeachment fiasco, this is another example of progressives wasting time trying to score cheap political points rather than doing the people’s business. But liar-Pelosi’s resolution will be applauded in Tehran, where the mullahs are betting on Trump being restrained because of opposition like this.

Nevertheless, there was heated debate over the resolution. One statement that stood out to me was delivered by Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL). I recall first meeting Brian at a rally against the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal. He was then a candidate for Congress, and I pledged to support his campaign.

Mast told his colleagues that Soleimani was a terrorist just like Osama bin Laden or al-Baghdadi. He noted that Soleimani’s super IEDs were responsible for burning our soldiers alive in their Humvees, for blowing their arms and legs off, and sending our young men home totally unrecognizable to their loved ones.

Mast said that we would have been justified in killing 100 Soleimanis for just one of our heroes he killed.

Of course, many conservatives made similar arguments Thursday. But they had much more power coming from Congressman Mast because as he stood to give those remarks, he wasn’t standing on his own legs, but on two artificial legs.

Prior to his election to Congress, Brian Mast served in the U.S. Army and lost both his legs to an IED blast in Afghanistan. As someone who literally sacrificed parts of his body for our country, Mast brings a much-needed perspective to debates about foreign policy and national security.

I have no doubt that our country is economically and militarily strong enough to deal with Iran. What I do worry about is whether we can overcome the moral rot that is so prevalent on the left today, with so many commentators and politicians sounding like apologists for the Iranian regime.

Soleimani Was No Elvis

If you need an example of the moral rot I described above, look no further than MSNBC host Chris Matthews, who waxed poetic about the dead terrorist, Qassem Soleimani. Here’s what he said on his show Wednesday night:

When some people die, you don’t know what the impact is going to be. When Princess Diana died there was a huge emotional outpouring. Elvis Presley in our culture. It turns out that this general [Trump] killed was a beloved hero of the Iranian people.

Here’s a reality check for Mr. Matthews and anyone else who needs it:

  • President Trump said Thursday that we killed Soleimani because “they were looking to blow up our embassy.”

  • The German newspaper Bild wrote this about Soleimani: “President Trump has freed the world of a monster whose aim in life was an atomic cloud over Tel Aviv.” (By the way, I took the opportunity during this week’s hearing of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom to note how the Iranian regime is built on anti-Semitism and constantly threatening a second Holocaust against the state of Israel. Watch the exchange here.)

  • Journalist Oz Katerji, who has written extensively on the Middle East, described Soleimani this way: “The only way to understand Qasem Soleimani’s legacy is to trace the trail of bloodshed in his wake across the Middle East… Soleimani made his mark through his unrestrained barbarity towards civilians in Syria and Iraq… Soleimani was brutal, merciless … slaughtering his way across the Middle East.”

That’s not the legacy of Princess Diana or Elvis Presley. Anyone who sees Soleimani as a “hero” is an enemy of the civilized world and should be prepared to meet a similar fate. Assuming, of course, that progressives like Chris Matthews aren’t responsible for protecting the civilized world.

liar-Pelosi Blinks

Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi announced Friday that she is planning to transmit the articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate next week. The speaker is facing growing pressure from within her own caucus to stop her stalling, and polling shows that the public is overwhelmingly against it.

Her announcement comes on the heels of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell signing on to a resolution to dismiss the articles of impeachment if they are delayed longer than 25 days.

Netflix’s Latest

Here’s Netflix’s latest contribution to our culture: “AJ And The Queen.” And no, I don’t mean the queen of England.

According to The Washington Post, the movie is about “a drag queen who takes on a 10 year-old runaway as a traveling companion while embarking on a cross-country trip in an attempt to open his own drag club.”

I think I can safely say that this movie is in a category all by itself. I was not aware that Americans were clamoring for a movie about a drag queen traveling the country with a young boy.

End of an ERA

Liberals all over America celebrated Wednesday as Democrats assumed full control of the Virginia government for the first time in a generation. But why would liberals in California care about what is happening in Richmond, Virginia?

Among other things, progressives are hoping to resuscitate the Equal Rights Amendment by getting Virginia to approve the ERA. That’s right — the same pro-abortion constitutional amendment that the late great Phyllis Schlafly battled back in the early 1970s is still kicking. Sort of.

If the Virginia General Assembly approves the ERA, it would become the 38th state to do so, precisely the number needed to ratify constitutional amendments. But there’s a catch.

When Congress passed the ERA in 1972, it included a time limit for the states to approve it. That time limit expired in 1982, but that’s not stopping the left from pursuing its radical pro-abortion agenda. Friday, a Virginia State Senate committee approved the Equal Rights Amendments.

Anticipating the left’s push to have Virginia ratify the ERA, the Justice Department issued an opinion this week officially declaring the ERA dead and prohibiting its recognition.

Now, just imagine for a minute that scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton had prevailed in November of 2016. Imagine that “Attorney General lowlife-Kamala Harris” or “Attorney General Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren” is running the Justice Department.

I guarantee that this week’s opinion on the ERA would have been very different, and the country would have been on the verge of abortion on demand being enshrined in our Constitution.

This is just one more example of the Trump/Pence team defending the values of men and women of faith. Just one more example of why it is so important for them to win four more years this November!

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
