{dailycaller.com} ~ California Rep. scumbag-Adam Schiff said Sunday morning that there is plenty of evidence suggesting the Trump campaign and Russia colluded to tilt the 2016 presidency... away from former Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton. “You can see evidence in plain sight on the issue of collusion — pretty compelling evidence,” scumbag-Schiff told Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Now there’s a  difference between seeing evidence of collusion and being able to prove a criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt,” the Democrat noted before turning his attention to Republican North Carolina Sen. {townhall.com} ~ House Resolution 1 should really be called the ‘Fill the Swamp Act.’ This crooked piece of legislation would mandate a colossal takeover of the state election process to empower big government liberals and corporate interests... So, of course, Democrats are trying to force it through. It seems every year that passes more and more power is shifted away from the people and into the hands of a wealthy, elite few in Washington. These politicians and bureaucrats  love micromanaging more and more of our everyday lives. From our roads and bridges, our firearms, our relationships with our doctors, our elementary schools, our farms and even our toilets, these freedom and federalism hating politicians cannot help themselves from interfering with Americans’ choices. But now, on top of all that, they want to dictate how states run their elections? They want to tell Tennessee to enact same-day voter registration, with no time for verification? They want to tell Tennessee we cannot require IDs to be shown at the polls, increasing the likelihood of fraud? They want to tell Tennessee that some unaccountable commission must draw its districts? They want to tell Tennessee it must subsidize far-left candidates in other states with taxpayer money. How dare they try to strip Tennessee of its autonomy. H.R. 1 is nothing other than a power-grab designed to elect Democrats that will give the federal government even more power. Not only do we know that a “coup” was planned by foes of President Trump, we now can openly and unreservedly speak of another unpleasant but inescapable truth that was revealed during the past year... Prior to the surprise victory of Democrat Socialist commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) last June 26 in her primary race for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, it was largely frowned upon to describe the Democratic Party as “socialist.” Over the summer, the rag tag far left Occupy ICE movement gained support among elected local Democrat politicians in many cities around the country. By the fall, Democrat candidates for governor  in Florida and Georgia, and for the U.S. Senate in Texas, were echoing the abolish ICE/Open Borders theme of the Occupy radicals. When the Democrats captured the House in the November Midterm elections, what was left of a moderate mask was finally torn off as Democrat leaders and newbie members of Congress alike jumped on the socialist bandwagon. In the three and a half months since the election, with full-blown socialist AOC having emerged as the most prominent and arguably the most influential Democrat politician in the country, the definition of Democrats as “socialists” can no longer be denied. This is happening at the same time that socialism’s disastrous failure in Venezuela is utterly undeniable. Millions of starving Venezuelans have fled to neighboring countries like Colombia, and the Maduro dictatorship survives solely on the basis of support from senior military officials who have been bribed and fear retribution when the “socialist paradise” they have fashioned collapses...

Rosenstein Over ‘Bureaucratic Coup’

{dailycaller.com} ~ Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham pledged Sunday to hold a hearing to determine whether top Justice Department and FBI official discussed a “bureaucratic coup”... to remove President Donald Trump from office. Graham said in an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he is willing to subpoena Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to answer questions about an alleged discussion to use the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. McCabe claims that Rosenstein brought up the idea of using the Constitution to remove Trump during a meeting of FBI and Justice Department officials on May 16, 2017, around a week after Trump fired scumbag-James Comey as FBI director. The 25th Amendment allows a majority of cabinet members to remove a sitting president. “We’re a democracy. People enforce the law — can’t take it into their own hands. And was this an attempted bureaucratic coup? Washington Post Closes Its Fact-Checking Operation for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's

{dailycaller.com} ~ The Washington Post’s fact-check of Rep. commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s signature Green New Deal legislation needs a fact-check of its own... The roll-out of the plan to deindustrialize the U.S. within a 10-year timeframe was a complete disaster. It began with the release of a FAQ sheet riddled with typos, grammatical errors, and radical statements about banning fossil fuels and nuclear power, making car and air travel obsolete, and getting rid of flatulent cows. The plan would require upgrading or replacing every building in the country, and provide taxpayer-funded economic security for those “unwilling to work.” It promises all Americans will have “access to nature,” whatever that means. The plan strives to achieve “net-zero” carbon emissions in ten years. Why not zero? According to the FAQ sheet, because they “aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.” Rep. commie-Ocasio-Cortez immediately tried to downplay the FAQ sheet after facing merciless ridicule on social media...  https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/14/wall-washington-post/

How Could They?

{townhall.com} ~ My first reaction upon hearing that hundreds of leaders in the Southern Baptist church had sexually abused as many as 700 people in 400 churches, including victims as young as 3, was "how could they?" It was the same reaction I had when news of predatory priests in the Roman Catholic Church, and the cover-up that followed the sexual abuse allegations, surfaced.

I have belonged to Southern Baptist churches in the past, so I know something about their proud "independent" status. Some critics have said it is the lack of a central authority in these churches that contributed to failed oversight. The Catholic Church has a central authority. How do you explain its oversight structure?

The reporting by the Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and The Washington Post should turn any stomach. Most Baptists have had children in their Sunday school programs. What must they be thinking as they ponder whether to ask their child, who by now might be a teen or an adult, if they had ever been abused by a teacher, pastor or counselor?

The Washington Post reports: "...instead of ensuring that sexual predators were kept at bay, the Southern Baptist Convention, resisted policy changes. ...Victims accused church leaders of mishandling their complaints, even hiding them from the public."

The Post notes that while a majority of abusers have been convicted and are now registered as sex offenders, "the investigation found that at least three dozen pastors, employees and volunteers who showed predatory behavior still worked at churches."

One explanation for such behavior -- it's not the only one -- appeared in a 2018 article in Christianity Today magazine: "Most pastors have struggled with porn."

That's according to an online study of nearly 3,000 adults, teenagers and pastors by the Barna Group. The study included 432 pastors and 338 youth pastors, and was commissioned by Josh McDowell Ministry and Cru formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ.

J.D. Greear, the president of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest Protestant denomination, tweeted, "We must admit that our failures, as churches, put these survivors in a position where they were forced to stand alone and speak, when we should have been fighting for them."

There are at least two other considerations the denomination must address. It is likely that many abuse victims will not only leave their churches, as many Catholics have done, but possibly abandon their faith altogether. If this is what God allows, they might say, I want nothing to do with Him.

The other thought is a warning. While most people probably think they are above such sin, consider the words of the Old Testament prophet Jeremiah, whose diagnosis of the potential for evil is that it resides at some level in all of us and that we cannot say for certain what we would do given the circumstances: "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? (Jeremiah 17:9, NLT)

Southern Baptist churches may wish to ponder and deliver a series of sermons on the meaning of these additional words from Jeremiah: "What sorrow awaits the leaders of my people -- the shepherds of my sheep -- for they have destroyed and scattered the very ones they were expected to care for, says the Lord." (Jeremiah 23:1, NLT).
