Released Gitmo Jihadi Seeks Return to Battle
From the Captain Renault Files, we're shocked -- shocked -- that one of the "Taliban Five" Gitmo terrorists Barack nObama released in exchange for Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl, now wants to rejoin Taliban terrorists. (Yes, they are terrorists despite the nObama administration's insistence they are not.) The Taliban Five were supposed to be under Qatar supervision, but even nObama conceded last June, "Is there the possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us? Absolutely." On the other hand, Hilly Clinton downplayed the threat declaring, "These five guys are not a threat to the United States." But as Mark Alexander has argued since the administration started releasing terrorists, "Eventually, when it is determined that some of those terrorists returned to the killing fields -- and that time will come -- their victims, particularly any American or allied deaths, will be hung around nObama's neck." In his State of the Union, nObama said, "[W]e've worked responsibly to cut the population of Gitmo in half. Now it is time to finish the job. And I will not relent in my determination to shut it down." The price of this "responsible cut" will be heavy. More...  -The Patriot Post
 nObama's Manufactured Budget Breakthrough
The president so adept at capitalizing on every crisis has called the "Republican" sequestration a "manufactured crisis" -- a crisis, by the way, that was his idea. Barack nObama will present his proposed budget to Congress Monday. In it, he attempts to undo the gains made in cutting spending growth. Yet in a Huffington Post blog entry, the president wrote, "I'm proud that since I took office, we've experienced the fastest period of sustained deficit reduction since the end of World War II. ... Of course, to make these common-sense investments in our future without adding to our deficits, we need to turn the page on the manufactured crises that have defined the debates over our budget in recent years." As usual, nObama doesn't tell the complete truth. The deficit quadrupled during nObama's first months in office and he has spent six years paring it down. Even now, the deficit is higher than pre-nObama levels. And that's just enough for nObama to create a manufactured breakthrough. More...  -The Patriot Post
backstabber Boehner: GOP Will Present nObamaCare Alternatives
House Speaker backstabber John Boehner announced another vote to repeal nObamaCare. Obviously, this will go nowhere beyond the House -- it will likely die in the Senate despite Republican control -- but, as backstabber Boehner explained, "We have 47 new members of Congress on the Republican side who have never had the chance to cast their vote to repeal nObamaCare." House Republicans, he added, are also working on alternatives: "Three committee chairmen who have jurisdiction over the health care policy in our country ... are working together to craft what we believe would be a better approach with regard to health care for the American people than nObamaCare. ... There will be an alternative, and you'll get to see it." The three chairmen are Fred Upton (Energy and Commerce), Paul Ryan (Ways and Means) and John Kline (Education and the Workforce). Details remain to be seen, but Republicans also know an alternative won't become law as long as Barack nObama occupies the Oval Office.

Despite Veto Threat, Senate Approves Keystone
In a 62-36 vote, the Senate sent a bill authorizing the Keystone XL pipeline to the House. Nine Democrats voted for the pipeline, but that still leaves the legislation five votes shy of overriding a promised presidential veto. The bill came with amendments benefitting the Left, including one in which 98 senators declared climate change is happening. "I'd like to congratulate Sen. [Mitch] McCon-nell for passing this bill in an open, inclusive and bipartisan way," House Speaker backstabber John Boehner said. "After dropping his scheme to tax middle-class college savings, we hope President nObama will now drop his threat to veto this common-sense bill that would strengthen our energy security and create thousands and thousands of new, good-paying American jobs." But the White House will unlikely do so. As political analyst George Will wryly observed, "America built the Empire State Building, then the world's tallest office building, in 410 days during the Depression. We built the Pentagon, still the world's largest low-rise office building, in 16 months while waging a war across two oceans. Keystone has been studied for more than six years. And nObama considers this insufficient?" More...  -The Patriot Post
nObama's Cadres Work to Defeat Netanyahu in Israeli Election
Barack nObama said he won't meet with Benjamin Netanyahu when the Israeli prime minister visits Washington in March because it will be too close to the Israeli elections. It would be "inappropriate," he explained. As Caroline Glick, deputy managing editor for the Jerusalem Post, wrote, "nObama ... believes in protocol and propriety which is why he won't get involved. No, he's not getting involved at all. He's just sending his 2012 field campaign manager to Israel to run a campaign to defeat Netanyahu. That's all. No interference whatsoever." That's right: Jeremy Bird, the man who served as nObama's national campaign director, and who leveraged social media and big data to send nObama to the White House, was hired by a group called OneVoice to inject U.S. campaign influence into the Israeli election. This is the nObama of the perpetual campaign. Not only have he and his meddlesome, anti-Israel goons taken campaigns to the international level, they are using this politicking to unseat a tough, terror-fighting world leader whom nObama despises.  Iran Now a Nuclear-Ready State, Missiles Capable of Hitting US
(William R. Graham, Henry F. Cooper, Fritz Ermarth, and Peter Vincent Pry) - Regardless of intelligence uncertainties and unknowns about Iran's nuclear weapons and missile programs, we know enough now to make a prudent judgment...that Iran should be regarded by national security decision makers as a nuclear missile state capable of posing an existential threat to the United States and its allies. Iran has a demonstrated capability to orbit satellites weighing over a ton, which means it could also deliver a nuclear warhead against the U.S. or any nation on Earth.        http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/iran-nuclear-ready-missiles/2015/02/01/id/621982/

Iraqi Kurds Find Mass Grave of Yazidis
(voanews.com) - Iraqi Kurdish forces say they have found a mass grave of about 25 members of the Yazidi minority believed killed by Islamic State militants as they swept through northwest Iraq in recent months...Officials said Peshmerga Kurdish forces found the gravesite Sunday, with the bodies of men, women and children. Islamic State insurgents are believed to have killed hundreds of the Yazidi ethnic minority, and buried alive some of their victims. About 300 women have been kidnapped as slaves.       http://www.voanews.com/content/iraqi-kurds-find-mass-grave-in-yazidis/2624632.html

Proposed Illinois Law Would Ban TERRORIST PROFESSORS
(Eric Owens) - An Illinois state legislator has introduced a bill that would prevent anyone who has been convicted of crimes related to terrorism from teaching courses at taxpayer-funded colleges and universities...The author of the legislation — Illinois House Bill 150 — is Rep. Charlie Meier, a rural-district Republican, The State Journal-Register reports. The bill comes on the heels of a bizarro trend of terrorist hiring by the three-school University of Illinois system.       http://dailycaller.com/2015/02/02/proposed-illinois-law-would-ban-terrorist-professors/

nObama: The Skype's the limit for worst terrorists
(Bob Unruh) - Some of the most fearsome Islamic terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay now are being treated to Skype visits with their families...and the Washington watchdog Judicial Watch said it apparently is part of a campaign by the nObama White House to vastly expand privileges for the inmates. “The captives are ‘high-value’ detainees locked up in a special top-security wing of the military compound at the U.S. Naval base in southeast Cuba,” Judicial Watch reported. “Two of the terrorists recently had video conferences with family for the first time since their incarceration, according to a Spanish news agency that identifies them as Abu Faraj al Libi and Abd al Rahim al Nashiri.” This jerk of a President doesn't recall or remember what they did to us on 9/11.      http://www.wnd.com/2015/02/obama-allows-major-luxury-for-worst-terrorists/

The Pentagon’s Failure to Find Long Lost Soldiers
(Sara Afzal) - Losing a loved one to war is hard enough but when thousands of U.S. soldiers missing overseas from combat in Vietnam, Korea and World War II have yet to return to their families – it adds to the sorrow...ProPublica’s Megan McCloskey exposed the story of one such family: the Kelders. During World War II, Pvt. Arthur “Bud” Kelder died as a Japanese POW in the Philippines, and he was buried as an “unknown” soldier in a war memorial cemetery there. Now, 73 years later, the Pentagon has finally identified Kelder’s remains, which will be returned to his family.       http://www.propublica.org/podcast/item/podcast-the-pentagons-failure-to-find-long-lost-soldiers/?utm_source=et&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailynewsletter&utm_content=&utm_name=

nObama And The Bergdahls Should Stand Trial For Treason
(Walid Shoebat) - Evidence is mounting as sources with close ties to military intelligence saying that the Army has concluded its investigation and will in fact charge Bergdahl with desertion...What is in this evidence must include some of our findings which we will show again here which prove that the Bergdahls, both father and son, have left quite a trail to show their Taliban links. The nObama administration of course has vigorously pushed back, saying there has been no decision to prosecute Bergdahl and that reports are way off base. But how could nObama’s testimony that “reports are off base” be more credible than members of Bergdahl’s unit who served beside him came forward and told their version of Bergdahl’s military exploits said that not only he deserted his unit but took up with enemy forces. In fact, some of these voices came out right after the deal but were ignored.       http://shoebat.com/2015/02/02/obama-bergdahls-stand-trial-treason-evidence-mounts-traitors-america/

nObama Wants to Hike Corporate Taxes to Pay For Infrastructure
(Curtis Dubay) - It is fitting that President nObama released his 2016 budget on Groundhog’s Day. Like Bill Murray’s character Phil Connors in the famous movie, nObama is stuck in an endless loop where he keeps pushing economically destructive tax hikes that have little chance of becoming law...This is the seventh budget he has released, and each of them had trillions of dollars of tax hikes that would needlessly increase the tax burden on American families and increase the already bloated size of the federal government. This year’s headline-grabbing and nonsensical tax hike targets U.S. multinational businesses. nObama wants to apply a 19 percent minimum tax on their foreign income going forward and a 14 percent tax on the foreign income they previously earned but have not yet returned to the U.S. (and therefore have not paid their U.S. tax on yet).      http://dailysignal.com/2015/02/02/obama-wants-hike-corporate-taxes-pay-infastructure-heres-thats-bad-idea/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailydigest&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRols6zLZKXonjHpfsX56%2BQpWqS%2BlMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4ET8tlI%2BSLDwEYGJlv6SgFQrLBMa1ozrgOWxU%3D

GOP Budget Chairs Blast nObama Proposal
(MICHAEL WARREN) - The White House has submitted its latest budget proposal to Congress, and the Republican chairs of the budget committees in both the Senate and the House are criticizing the plan for...increasing spending and raising taxes. In a joint statement House budget chair Tom Price of Georgia and Senate budget chair Mike Enzi of Wyoming blasted President nObama's proposal: House speaker backstabber John Boehner also knocked the president's proposal. “Today President nObama laid out a plan for more taxes, more spending, and more of the Washington gridlock that has failed middle-class families," said backstabber Boehner in a statement. "It may be Groundhog Day, but the American people can’t afford a repeat of the same old top-down policies of the past."       http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/gop-budget-chairs-blast-obama-proposal_836372.html?utm_campaign=Weekly%20Standard%3A%20Daily%20Digest&utm_source=Weekly%20Standard%3A%20Daily%20Digest%20-%2002%2F02%2F15&utm_medium=email

China's Growing Middle East Footprint: Israel's Opportunity
(David P. Goldman) - China's "New Silk Road" might become history's most ambitious investment in infrastructure. Some Chinese strategists predict an Israeli role in the project on par with, or possibly even more important than, that of Turkey...China calls the project "One Belt and One Road," referring to a belt of railroads, highways, pipelines and broadband communications stretching through China to the West, and a "maritime Silk Road" combining sea routes with port infrastructure from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean. Israel's location makes it possible for the Jewish state to "play the role of bridgehead for 'One Belt and One Road' with the completion of the 'Red-Med' rail project," said Dr. Liu Zongyi at a November seminar at Remnin University. Dr. Liu, based at the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, spoke of a $2 billion, 300 km rail line linking Ashkelon with the Red Sea. The "Red-Med" project is usually presented in more modest terms, as a way of absorbing excess traffic from the Suez Canal, or as an alternative route in the event of political disruption.       http://www.meforum.org/5005/china-middle-east-israeli-opportunity

Questioning Corrupt and Politicized Climate Science
(nicedeb) - I broke my own rule over the weekend when I got into a debate with some well-meaning but totally misled friends of friends on Facebook over the Keystone XL Pipeline, which they were totally sure would destroy the environment and contribute to global warming if allowed...For these young twenty-somethings, opposing the Keystone Pipeline is about “common sense.” It’s shocking and dismaying how many millennials have been fooled by the Soviet-style lies and scare tactics of the warmist left. How do they not see that the science has become corrupted and politicized? Real science is not proven by consensus. Real science doesn’t lie and manipulate data. Real science is happy to have a debate. It doesn’t try to silence the (growing numbers of) detractors. And with real science – predictions occasionally come true.       https://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2015/02/02/dont-trust-but-verify-questioning-corrupt-and-politicized-climate-science/
nObama's Bloody Yemen Disaster
Michelle Malkin

(townhall.com) - When President nObama declares something a "success story," you know it has "TOTAL FAILURE" embedded in its DNA.

Four months ago, America's King Midas in Reverse crowed about the fruits of his triumphant foreign policy in jihad-infested Yemen. A "light footprint" approach to counterterrorism operations, he claimed, was the most effective path to stability. In addition, nObama has shoveled nearly $1 billion in American tax-subsidized foreign aid to Yemen.

Four months later, Iran-backed Shia rebels seized a Yemeni presidential palace. The president and his entire cabinet tendered their resignations on Thursday, creating a vacuum that al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula is ready and eager to fill. ISIS is gaining its own Sunni foothold in the Muslim terror-breeding ground. And while the JV team at the State Department dithers with hashtag games and selfies, adults at the Pentagon want to evacuate U.S. embassy personnel and other Americans before it's too late.

It would be bad enough if the current crisis were merely the result of incompetence and negligence. But nObama's disastrous Yemen policy reflects his radical leftwing administration's deep-rooted ideological sympathies for our enemies.

This is, after all, the man who wrote immediately after 9/11 that the well-funded and highly educated murderous hijackers' hatred grew "out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair." nObama's pussyfoot strategy against jihadists was a direct rebuke to the supposed "cowboy" approach of George W. Bush, whom progressives blame for radicalizing poor, oppressed Yemenis. President Huggy Bear won a Nobel Prize for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples" and outreach to the Muslim world.

But what the kumbaya crowd refused to acknowledge is this: The Yemen-based jihadist network, like the worldwide Islamic terror movement, has been at war with us for years -- long before the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions, long before 9/11, long before the global onset of Bush Derangement Syndrome. This coming October, America will mark the 15th anniversary of the U.S.S. Cole bombing in the Yemeni port of Aden, which took the lives of 17 American crewmembers.

Fifteen years.

In February 2009, nObama met with Cole families and promised them justice. Then, he betrayed them by ordering the Justice Department to abandon the death penalty case assembled against al-Qaida mastermind and chief Cole bombing suspect Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri under the Bush administration. Only after a public uproar did nObama reinstate the charges. He's dragged his feet on the trial ever since, but found the time to release five Yemeni Gitmo detainees just last week. Another half-dozen went home at the end of last year. And until this week, nObama had planned to fly another 47 back to their volatile homeland.

All this despite five years of revolving-door Gitmo recidivist activities in Yemen -- and with knowledge of Yemen's terror training of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the jihadist who attempted to bomb Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Christmas Day in 2009.

The Yemen chaos didn't happen overnight. The White House has allowed jihad to fester there from Day One. Reminder: In late January 2009, the U.S. Embassy in Yemen came under gunfire. American diplomatic staff had been warned of a pending attack. That same month, two former Yemeni Gitmo detainees, Said Ali al-Shihri and Abu Hareth Muhammad al-Awfi, released a video publicly recommitting to "aid the religion," "establish the rightly guided caliphate" and "fight against our enemies" after undergoing terrorism "rehab" in Saudi Arabia.

Why has nObama so wantonly aided and abetted our enemies? Appeasement of the international human rights crowd and agreement with the soft-on-jihad lawyers infesting his own Justice Department. As I've reported previously, Attorney General Eric Holder's law firm, Covington and Burling, provided dozens of dangerous Yemeni Gitmo detainees pro bono legal representation and sob-story media relations campaigns. At least nine nObama DOJ appointees represented or advocated for Gitmo denizens before taking positions in our government.

By words and action, the nObama White House has demonstrated that its primary allegiance lies not with protecting Americans, but with coddling jihadists (with a drone killing tossed in here and there, of course, to ward off critics and maintain political viability). If the nObama administration exerted as much energy combating Yemeni jihadists as it did waging war on the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, the Yemen capital might still be standing.

Conveniently, the political football-spiking White House left any mention of Yemen out of the State of the Union address. This is nObama's own version of DeflateGate. Pfffffffffft.
