{constitution.com} ~ The temperament of Brett Kavanaugh has been a main topic of the television media for days, after his fiery testimony on Capitol Hill... Of course, this argument has nothing to do with his judicial temperament…something that the judge has a long and in-depth record of for those willing to take a look. The temperament on display in that hearing is only indicative of one thing: How Brett Kavanaugh felt about being accused of such heinous acts on the national stage in a conveniently-timed accusation. That’s it. So, it comes as no surprise to those of us paying attention to the true nature of Brett Kavanaugh that one of his first maneuver as a Supreme Court Justice would be one of the most pro-women moves in the history of the high court. The newly confirmed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh has already fulfilled one of his promises. After weeks of contentious hearings, the Senate voted to confirm the polarizing nominee Saturday evening. And Kavanaugh was already on the job Sunday morning with the court’s first-ever all-women team of law clerks by his side, The New York Times reports. Even before sexual assault allegations rocked his confirmation process, concerns swirled around Kavanaugh’s stance on women’s right. Specifically, dummycrats-Democratic senators feared he would provide the court with a conservative majority that could facilitate the rolling back of Roe v. Wade. Kavanaugh tried to counter those concerns at his first round of confirmation hearings, touting how “no federal judge … has sent more women law clerks to clerk on the Supreme Court than I have.” He also said he had four female law clerks ready to work for him “on a moment’s notice,” which would make him “the first justice in the history of the Supreme Court to have a group of all-women law clerks.”...

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ dummycrats-Democrats seeking to impeach Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh will be hamstrung by the Constitution... according to Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz. "The Constitution would not permit impeachment of a sitting justice for actions he took while a private citizen 35 years ago, nor would it permit using the laws of perjury, which are very tough," Dershowitz said Monday during an interview with Fox News. Rep. Jerrold Nadler, the New York dummycrats-Democrat poised to chair the House Judiciary Committee should his party win a majority after the 2018 midterm elections, has suggested the panel may investigate Kavanaugh under his leadership. Reps. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., and Ted Lieu, D-Calif., have already voiced their support for probing the newly installed justice. Pushing aside the high legal bar, Dershowitz added on Monday that dummycrats-Democrats would also face political ramifications should they try to remove Kavanaugh from the bench. "That would be absolutely foolish, inconsistent, and hypocritical," he said. "Those who believe that liar-Bill Clinton should never have been impeached for allegedly lying about his sex life are now going to lead the campaign to impeach Kavanaugh for allegedly lying about his sexual and drinking activities back when he was a 17-year-old? It's hypocrisy run rampant." {dailycaller.com} ~ A dummycrats-Democratic senator outsourced parts of the investigation into possible Trump-Russia collusion to a former Senate staffer... with links to scumbag-George Soros and Fusion GPS, according to a New Yorker report. The New Yorker  reports the unidentified senator contacted Daniel Jones, a former Senate Intelligence Committee staffer, around March 2017 to review data regarding a possible link between the computer servers of the Trump Organization and a Russian bank called Alfa Bank. Jones, who worked under California dummycrats-Democratic Sen. Dianne Fein-stein when she chaired the intelligence panel, had just formed a non-profit group called the dummycrats-Democracy Integrity Project. The organization worked closely with Fusion GPS and former British spy Christopher Steele, the tag-team duo that produced the dummycrats-Democrat-funded dossier accusing the Trump campaign of colluding with the Kremlin. Jones’s  operation was also funded by a small group of billionaires, including left-wing philanthropist scumbag-George Soros. Jones told the FBI in March 2017 that between 7 and 10 billionaires had put up $50 million to continue an investigation into Russian meddling in elections.  Jones also told the FBI that he had secured the services of Steele and Fusion GPS “to continue exposing Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.” The goal was to provide the information to lawmakers, the press and the FBI, he said. Allegations about Alfa Bank and the  Trump Organization first surfaced in an Oct. 31, 2016, article published by Slate’s Franklin Foer. The article alleged that servers for the two companies were secretly communicating with each other, possibly as part of a back-channel communications system related to the election...

Austria Ignores Threat of Iranian Islamism

{meforum.org} ~ In June 2018, the Austrian government announced it would shut down seven mosques and expel sixty imams, because of their putative links to Salafi-jihadists or Turkish regime networks... The government’s decision was made in the wake of a 2015 law that banned foreign funding of religious institutions and required Muslim organizations to expressed“ positive approach towards the society and the state” of Austria. Austria’s determination to clamp down on Sunni Islamist extremism and the Turkish regime network was applauded by some, including prominent think tanks, but condemned   by a number of American media outlets. Few have noted, however, that while Sunni extremists are under the spotlight, Shiite Islamists continue to operate with impunity. Last week, for example, a procession by Shia mourners was held on Mariahilfer Street, in Vienna. The procession was led by Ayatollah Bushehri, the Friday prayer leader in Qom, the city known as the cradle of Shia theology in Iran. Bushehri was allowed to enter Austria to lead Shia rituals for the Arabic lunar month of Moharram, the holiest month in the Shia calendar. Every year, on the 10th of Moharram, Shiite faithful mourn the beheading of the Islamic prophet’s grandson, Hussein, by his rival family members in the battle of Karbala. Some consider the mourning rituals to be brutal. The severity of the outburst of grief and sorrow expressed by the Shia on this day varies from place to place. Some beat themselves on the chest, some self-flagellate with chains, while a few go to the extreme of cutting their foreheads with a sword or machete, so that blood flows down their faces...

Pence Calls Out the Chinese Threat

by Political Editors:  Vice President Mike Pence gave a speech Thursday at the Hudson Institute in Washington that focused on the growing threats from China. He noted three specific areas of Chinese threat: propaganda, unfair trade practices, and militarization. Pence stated, “As we speak, Beijing is employing a whole-of-government approach, using political, economic and military tools, as well as propaganda, to advance its influence and benefit its interests in the United States.”

             Regarding Chinese propaganda, Pence charged, “Beijing has mobilized covert actors, front groups and propaganda outlets to shift Americans’ perception of Chinese policies. … What the Russians are doing pales in comparison to what China is doing across this country.” Pence later noted, “In June, Beijing circulated a sensitive document, entitled ‘Propaganda and Censorship Notice,’ that laid out its strategy. It states that China must ‘strike accurately and carefully, splitting apart different domestic groups’ in the United States.” He further highlighted that, “by one estimate, more than 80 percent of U.S. counties targeted by China voted for President Trump in 2016. China wants to turn those voters against our administration.”
               On China’s threat to fair trade, Pence noted, “To win the commanding heights of the 21st century economy, Beijing has directed its bureaucrats and businesses to obtain American intellectual property — the foundation of our economic leadership — by any means necessary.” Pence welcomed “fair and reciprocal” bilateral trade with China but warned that the U.S. will “levy even more tariffs” if Beijing refuses.
               Finally, Pence called out China over its aggressive militarization of the South China Sea with its illegal construction of artificial islands, stating, “America had hoped that economic liberalization would bring China into greater partnership with us and with the world. Instead, China has chosen economic aggression, which has in turn emboldened its growing military.” Then noting an incident from earlier this week in which a Chinese naval vessel sailed within 50 yards the USS Decatur as it sailed through globally recognized international waters in the South China Sea, Pence declared, “Despite such reckless harassment, the United States Navy will continue to fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows and our national interests demand. We will not be intimidated. We will not stand down.”
               The Trump administration’s stance toward China has been appropriate for a communist nation that presents quite the geopolitical challenge to the U.S. Pence’s words are welcome.
