That requires the Congress to fully engage,” scumbag/liar-Schiff told the Post in an interview published Monday. scumbag/liar-Schiff said there’s “absolutely no way” Trump’s threat to retaliate with “disproportionate” attacks, should Iran strike the U.S., reflects Pentagon planning. “None of that could come out of the Pentagon,” scumbag/liar-Schiff said. A Pentagon spokesperson was not immediately available for comment when contacted by The Hill. Trump said there are 52 Iranian sites, including cultural sites, that “will be hit very fast and very hard” if Iran strikes an American or an American base. Others in Africa, Days After Iran Fiasco

Only after several dozen Marines were deployed to the area did the malfeasants scatter. In retaliation, US President Donald Trump authorized an airstrike that killed Qasem Soleimani, one of Iran’s most influential military men – a general whose use of terrorism was concerning to the world at large. Tehran turned livid at the news, issuing a series of scathing threats against the United States in retaliation. Now, US service members are being attacked well south of Iran, in Kenya, by jihadist terrorists. Three Americans were killed in Sunday’s terror attack in Kenya. The Americans — a US service member and two civilian contractors working for the Defense Department — were killed in the attack carried out by Al-Shabaab, US Africa Command, which is responsible for military relations with nations on the continent, confirmed to CNN. Two DOD members wounded in the attack are now in stable condition and are being evacuated, Africa Command said. The attack occurred at a Kenya Defense Force in Manda Bay, Kenya. Sources have previously told CNN that the base was used by US Special Operations forces working with the Kenyans. Africa Command said the US uses the airfield for missions such as providing training to African allies, responding to crises and protecting US interests in the region.

{ bongino.com } ~ Democrats just can’t stand the fact that President Trump took decisive action against “revered” Iranian terrorist Qassem Soleimani and are now acting to limit his ability... to use military force against the Islamic nation. In a letter to Democrats released late last night, liar-Pelosi called the killing of Soleimani a “provocative and disproportionate military airstrike.” liar-Pelosi wrote, “As Members of Congress, our first responsibility is to keep the American people safe. For this reason, we are concerned that the Administration took this action without the consultation of Congress and without respect for Congress’s war powers granted to it by the Constitution.” The letter continues, “This week, the House will introduce and vote on a War Powers Resolution to limit the President’s military actions regarding Iran. It reasserts Congress’s long-established oversight responsibilities by mandating that if no further Congressional action is taken, the Administration’s military hostilities with regard to Iran cease within 30 days.” Fox News points out that the War Powers Act was passed in 1973 as a means to prevent presidents from using military force without congressional approval. The legislation requires the president to notify Congress of “circumstances necessitating the introduction of United States Armed Forces” within 48 hours. On Saturday, the White House complied with its responsibilities under the War Powers Act and sent a document to Congress, informing lawmakers of the airstrike against Soleimani. liar-Pelosi, of course, was not happy with the information Congress received, saying it “raises more questions than it answers.” In a statement, the Speaker said, “This document prompts serious and urgent questions about the timing, manner and justification of the Administration’s decision to engage in hostilities against Iran. This initiation of hostilities was taken without an Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against Iran, without the consultation of the Congress and without the articulation of a clear and legitimate strategy to either the Congress or the public.” Last week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Soleimani, was killed due to “imminent threats to American lives,” and claims President Trump’s decision to take out the leader “saved American lives. During an appearance on CNN, Pompeo said he could not discuss the “nature” of the treats, however, “The American people should know that President Trump’s decision to remove Qasem Soleimani from the battlefield saved American lives. There’s no doubt about that. He was actively plotting in the region to take actions … that would have put dozens if not hundreds of American lives at risk.” He continued, “We know it was imminent. This was an intelligence-based assessment that drove our decision making process.” Soleimani led the Quds Force for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) which supported terrorist proxies in the Middle East and was responsible for the deaths of at least 608 U.S. troops in Iraq.

The threat, naturally delivered by Twitter, cause the left to pounce and declare Trump had proclaimed in advance his intent to commit war crimes but the central feature of it was the promise to obliterate one Iranian target for each of the Americans held hostage for 444 days in Tehran in 1979-1981. Just a short while ago, Iran’s President, Hassan Rouhani tweeted a response that may must be an attempt to troll the United States using amazingly bad taste or it might just be a Twitter FOAD admission to one of the major political crimes of the last half of the 20th Century. On July 3, 1988 the Aegis-class cruiser USS Vincennes was on patrol in the Persian Gulf. The whole area was extraordinarily dangerous to anyone who let their drop down for a moment. In May 1987, shortly before EARNEST WILL kicked off, the USS Stark, a Perry-class frigate, was hit by an Exocet missile fired from an Iraqi Mirage and 37 US sailors were killed. This was during a furious period of the Iran-Iraq war when Iran was targeting neutral shipping in the Persian Gulf and the military undertook Operation EARNEST WILL to protect that shipping. The operation led to direct conflict with Iranian forces that climaxed in Operation PRAYING MANTIS in April 1988 that essentially destroyed Iran’s navy. All of this is to highlight the fact that the Ticonderoga was in a crowded area, both sea and air lanes, and one in which attackers routinely blended into regular traffic until time to attack. An Iran Air Airbus 300, flight 655, took off from Bandar Abbas airport enroute to Dubai. At some point the Vincennes Combat Information Center identified the Airbus as an Iranian F-14. Attempts to contact it on emergency frequencies were unsuccessful. The Vincennes interpreted this as a hostile aircraft and shot it down. 290 persons died in the shootdown...

Conservative Christians Rally for TrumpThomas Gallatin: Following the anti-Trump article penned by Mark Galli, Christianity Today’s now-retired chief editor, in which he essentially declared that Christians who support President Donald Trump are violating their biblical beliefs and compromising their religious witness, hundreds of conservative Christian (and a few “Christian”) leaders responded to that false dichotomy. In an effort to set the record straight, last Friday a group of conservative Christians calling themselves “Evangelicals for Trump” held a rally in Miami to express their political support for the president. Their aim was to challenge the political straw-man narrative that many on the Left (as well as many anti-Trump conservatives) have sought to cultivate — the false claim that a biblically consistent Christian cannot in good conscience support Trump.
An example of this underhanded and dubious political tactic to chip away Christian support for Trump is Vote Common Good. The organization’s executive director, Doug Pagitt, a liberal who has long pushed against historical Christian orthodox beliefs, states, “There are many reasons why people have lost their faith in Donald Trump. We are not telling people to stop being Republicans; we are asking Republicans to not vote for this one. We are not trying to turn everyone into a Democrat. We are asking people to consider voting for one this time.”
Notice the lack of any concern for the views expressed by any of the current Democrat candidates. The argument begs the question of a false binary in which Trump is assumed to be the greatest evil and therefore the only “righteous” choice remaining is anyone other than Trump. Based on this lazy and downright idiotic logic, Pagitt would rather Christians toss their vote to a hypothetical Adolf Hitler if he were the one running against Trump.
Fortunately, conservative Christians — like many conservative Americans in general — aren’t so simplistic or easily duped into voting for candidates who aim to destroy Liberty. Conservative Christians know that all leaders are sinful and flawed, and that the choice of who to vote for more often than not comes down to a question of a lesser of two evils. It’s a question of determining which political party and candidate’s policy platform fits more consistently with a Christian worldview.
The “Evangelicals for Trump” rally in Miami loudly confronts the efforts of Democrats and the Leftmedia to stoke the false narrative that support for the president is morally indefensible. In fact, as Trump 2020 senior campaign adviser Jenna Ellis notes, “Evangelicals for Trump are quite soundly embracing our moral witness because this November, one candidate will advocate infanticide, abortion on demand, socialism, penalizing churches, the redefinition of marriage and family, destruction of individual freedom, greater reliance on welfare, censorship, and the entire bucket list of the anti-American, anti-Constitution, anti-freedom-loving liberal agenda.” That candidate won’t be Donald Trump.
