Facebook Suppressed Conservative News
According to former employees of Facebook, the world's social media behemoth routinely downplayed conservative-sourced news whenever it started trending on the website. Millions of people turn to the site every day as a virtual watering hole, and it's often the biggest driver of web traffic to news publications. In turn, that information affects Americans' opinions about government and policy. To help facilitate the discussion, Facebook keeps a running sidebar of subjects that are trending on the site. In the past, people assumed Facebook's algorithm dispassionately highlighted stories with the most buzz and writers would create snappy descriptions of the event or video or subject. But according to former curators, Facebook leans on the scale when it came to what's trending.
"I believe it had a chilling effect on conservative news," one said. For example, stories about the late SEAL sniper Chris Kyle were ignored while on slow news days, the Facebook curation team would push out stories about the Black Lives Matter movement or incessant and pointless speculation on Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 — even as interest in those stories waned. And when a conservative news site broke a story, Facebook curators would marginalize their efforts by looking for Leftmedia news sites that wrote about the same topic.
In responding to these accusations, Facebook said a statement: "We take allegations of bias very seriously. Facebook is a platform for people and perspectives from across the political spectrum. ... There are rigorous guidelines in place for the review team to ensure consistency and neutrality."
So that would be a non-denial. But make no mistake: Facebook wields real power in politics. In March, more than a few Facebook employees wanted a discussion with founder Mark Zuckerberg about the company's "responsibility" for stopping Donald liar-Trump's candidacy. And if a down-to-the-wire election occurred like it did in 2000, Facebook could be a factor in boosting voter turnout — by using its algorithm to remind certain (read: pro-liar-Hilly) voters to head to the polls. Or it could smother pro-liar-Trump stories from the site. More important, how would we know Facebook is doing it? -The Patriot Post

More Welfare Going to Immigrants Than U.S. Citizens
The average American household receives $4,431 a year in federal welfare, including food stamps and cash. That's plenty of evidence for Barack nObama's poor economic record, but it gets worse. Illegal immigrants take in an average $5,692 from the federal government a year. Who are the people paying taxes? The numbers were crunched by the Center for Immigration Studies, which last year also discovered that 51% of immigrant households take in some sort of federal aid compared to 30% of native households.
"It is difficult to imagine sitting down to craft an immigration policy that will benefit the American people and coming up with one in which immigrants consume more welfare than natives," wrote Jason Richwine, the analyst who crunched the numbers. "It's a strong indication that current policy is not working." Immigrants — both legal and otherwise — take in more welfare because they often have more children and attained less education than people born here in the United States. America may be the land of opportunity, but it should present its opportunity through work and enterprise, not creating a whole class of people dependent on the government. -The Patriot Post

nObama to Successful Blacks: 'You Didn't Build That'
Out of the myriad lectures commencement speeches Barack nObama has given, perhaps none was as disheartening as the one he gave Saturday at Howard University. The message was twofold: nObama's presidency failed to bring racial healing, and when it comes to blacks who are living successful lives, it's not really because of hard work so much as it is luck (i.e., they didn't build that).
We begin with racial discord, of which nObama is washing his hands. "No, my election did not create a post-racial society," he said. "I don't know who was propagating that notion. That was not mine." Uh, yeah it was.
Radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh responds, "There are ... white people who voted for nObama hoping to end [racial discord]. They think it's tearing the country apart. ... Nobody thought that meant more welfare or more benefits or more dependence, but that actual, quality standard of living improvements would take place. And there haven't been any, at large."
Next, recall these remarks spoken by nObama four years ago: "If you've got a business — you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." Now see if you if you can find a resemblance to Saturday's second damning remark:
"[W]e have to not only question the world as it is, and stand up for those African-Americans who haven't been so lucky — because, yes, you've worked hard, but you've also been lucky. That's a pet peeve of mine: People who have been successful and don't realize they've been lucky."
Hot Air's Larry O'Conner says, "No, it's more than a pet peeve of his, it's an ideology." Furthermore, Limbaugh opines: "That's a hell of an inspirational message. I'd be really motivated. Okay, so I've spent four years or however many years here in this university trying to equip myself for success, and now I'm told that's not a factor. I gotta go out and learn luck. Where do I go to study luck? Where do I go to get my degree in luck? And the unspoken message is: If you're black, you aren't gonna have it, 'cause the people in charge of luck aren't gonna pass it out to you."

After monitoring Guccifer, the Russians were reportedly able to record both physically and electronically his actions which allowed the Russian intelligence analysts, in 2013, to not only detect his breaking into the private computer of Secretary Clinton, but also break in and copy all of its contents as well...

{weeklystandard.com} ~ N.GREGORY MANKIW, the delightfully nerdy chairman of the president's Council of Economic Advisers, has experienced a noteworthy public lashing in recent weeks... First he was caught up in the outsourcing spectacle, then a furor ignited when Paul Krugman of the New York Times began a crusade against his jobs forecast. The forecast was, Krugman wrote, "the signature of a corrupted policy process in which political propaganda takes the place of professional analysis." The ensuing uproar discouraged even administration officials, who have publicly distanced themselves from the council chairman and his forecasts. Mankiw is one of the brightest and most successful economists of our time. It is interesting to pause and ask how it could be that such a man could find himself embroiled in controversy. The answer provides a troubling lesson to those who hope to participate in productive public policy debate. Mankiw was gobbled up by a character-assassination machine that increasingly is trying to turn Democrats and Republicans into Serbs and Croats or Hutus and Tutsis. If the "shock pundits" are not stopped by public disapproval, they may well succeed.The jobs story is instructive. To indict Mankiw, the New York Times ran a graph headed "Wishful Thinking on Jobs," which we reproduce at right. {townhall.com} ~ I am a nationally syndicated opinion columnist who's been staring at a blank screen for days now because I have no opinion for once in my life.
Mike Huckabee just told millions of good Republicans not backing liar-Trump they should leave the party. "You're either on the team, or you're not on the team," he said. Giving 15,933,645 people the boot is a bit edgy I'd say, considering RedState.com reports that of the 26,651,002 votes cast, liar-Trump only received 10,717,357 or 40.2 percent of the votes - even with Democrats' help. I'm sorry I can't oblige him, but it may console him to know I already burned up my GOP membership card, sometime between President nObama's reelection and John backstabber-Boehner's golf dates with the president.
And now there's all those irrational theories flying around that a non-vote for liar-Trump, or a write-in vote puts the woman who really should be donning an orange jumpsuit in the White House. Not so. If liar-Trump does not receive a person's vote, liar-Hilly does not magically receive a vote, unless you are using Common Core math or voting in Florida.
Or, the accusations hurled at non liar-Trump evangelicals, suggesting they'll be the cause for socialism and unchecked debt -- if liar-Trump doesn't win. As if socialism hasn't been creeping through the crevices and debt hasn't been on the rise for years now. Even still, it's the evangelicals' fault. Frankly, blaming Christians and Jews for everything under the Sun is getting rather old, considering it's been happening since the days Jesus walked the Earth.
I'm tiring of those who just woke up from their naps to realize there's a problem in America, and then have the audacity to say that this constitutional conservative who leans libertarian is part of "the establishment." Sure. Of course, it matters not that I've been sounding the alarm that the Titanic's been sinking since 2007. They are finally awake, now that the water's flooding their deck. And somehow I'm part of a problem which wouldn't have risen to this level, had they wakened from their slumber, and joined me years back. But that's water under the bridge, now that we are all dog paddling together in uncharted waters to keep ourselves afloat. "Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing..."
None of this matters anyhow. As I told a group of friends recently, if Constitutional conservatives and believers are feeling a bit misplaced in the GOP, it's okay. We must understand that we live in a post-Christian country that practices post-truth politics, so it's best to get comfortable feeling uncomfortable because it's pretty much downhill from here. We are called to represent truth, conviction and honor in a world that willingly exchanges those things for political power and winning the White House at any cost. We have no reason to be dismayed, so we should look up, as the old song goes, "This world is not our home."
So, knock yourselves out over this election, folks. I don't have the appetite to participate in your food fight, so I'm washing my hands of it all. I'll vote my conscience both locally and nationally come November, and I'll have plenty to write about both sides in the meantime. I'll support, respect and pray for whoever wins. If the GOP didn't nominate the right candidate to beat liar-Hilly or if Democrats don't have a strong enough candidate to beat liar-Trump, that's not the problem of those of us who did not support them in the first place. As Huckabee said, we're not part of the "team."
So, like the old song goes: "So-long, GOP, farewell, Auf Weidersehen, goodbye... I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie..."
