Russia Authorizes Boots on the Ground in Syria 
Russia's parliament Wednesday unanimously gave Russian President Vladimir Putin the authority to use military force in Syria. Unlike the United States, Russia has committed to the conflict, which will result in the defeat of the U.S.-backed Syrian rebels — a Pax Russian a through Bashar al-Assad's dictatorship — and less American influence in the Middle East. While the nObama administration hoped that moderate Syrian rebels would topple the Assad regime and defeat the Islamic State, nObama lacks the fortitude to play Putin's diplomacy game. As nObama said Monday, "Ultimately, however, it is not going to be enough to defeat ISIL in the battlefield." While Russia wants the defeat of the Islamic State, Putin told "60 Minutes" last Sunday the only way peace can come to the country is through the Kremlin-backed Assad regime. As commentator Charles Krauthammer said, "This isn't about the Russians taking on ISIS; this is about the Russians taking over Syria and keeping Assad as a client in place. Surprise! Planned Parenthood Doesn't Do Mammograms
From Democrats and their political operatives to Hollywood glitterati and Miss America contestants, one of the more pervasive and oft-repeated myths about Planned Parenthood is that it provides mammograms. Whenever an abortion advocate defends the nation's largest abortion provider — especially arguing that it should continue to receive half a billion taxpayer dollars every year — inevitably, they bring up all the great women's services Planned Parenthood provides. Like mammograms. Except the organization doesn't have a single mammogram machine in any of its offices. Don't take our word for it. Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards told Congress Tuesday, "There aren’t any Planned Parenthood clinics — I believe, to the best of my knowledge, not any have mammogram machines at their facility." She was answering a question from Rep. Cynthia Lummis, who asked, "How many Planned Parenthood clinics have mammogram machines?" That question, in turn, followed the sycophantic cooing of Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who included mammograms in her list of the wonderful services provided. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration confirms that, out of more than 8,700 licensed mammogram facilities in the country, exactly zero are run by Planned Parenthood. So why is the myth so prevalent? First, abortion advocates are always fast and loose with the facts because abortion is so abhorrent it can't be defended on the merits. Second, Planned Parenthood is perfectly content with the false narrative — it boasts of helping women "get access to mammograms" — because it makes the organization look like it just cares about women. Largest nObamaCare Co-Op Admits Failure, Starts Closing Shop
Joining three other nObamaCare health care co-ops that already found themselves unable to operate in the current health care landscape, Health Republic, the co-op servicing the State of New York, started closing down its operation Friday, Sept. 25. "[A]fter coordinating with state and federal regulators, Health Republic will begin winding down operations in an orderly manner starting today," CEO of Health Republic Debra Friedman wrote to the co-op's members. "While we are deeply disappointed with this outcome, we believe it is in the best interests of our members. Starting a new insurance company is a daunting task in any environment, but the systemic challenges placed on us by the structure of the CO-OP program were simply too difficult to overcome." In other words, nObamaCare's worst enemy in this case was its own regulations. As The Daily Signal reported, the government loaned out $265 million to get the co-op off the ground. You shall know the program by its fruits: In this case, an effort by nObamaCare to provide more solutions and health care "competition" yielded government waste and failure. The Iraq Model for Afghanistan? Recent events in Afghanistan indicate that Barack nObama seriously needs to reconsider his plans to withdraw all U.S. forces from the country over the next 16 months. (Not that he will reconsider...) Several major cities that were once held and governed by Afghan forces have been captured by the Taliban. All is not well and it would be foolish and irresponsible for the United States to withdraw too soon. Need evidence?
Just look at Iraq.On Monday, the city of Kunduz, Afghanistan’s sixth largest city, was overrun by the Taliban — the first city taken by the Taliban since it was ousted from Kabul in 2001. Afghan forces mounted a counteroffensive with the aid of U.S. airstrikes and special forces. Afghan forces have retaken the police station, but are still facing fierce resistance from approximately 500 Taliban fighters.
“Obviously, this is a setback for the Afghan security forces," said Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook. "But we've seen them respond in recent weeks and months to the challenges they face, and they're doing the same thing in Kunduz right now.” The fact that Afghan forces are fighting to take back Kunduz is a good thing — they are doing what the U.S. military trained them to do. But that's all the more reason why pushing to draw down forces too soon would be catastrophic. Afghan forces still need U.S. backing if they are to be successful. -The Patriot Post

Palestinians: Why Our Leaders Are Hypocrites and Liars
{Bassam Tawil} ~ While Hamas and Islamic Jihad are continuing to exploit our teenagers in the Gaza Strip by training them to join the jihad against Jews and "infidels," our leaders in the West Bank are committing a similar crime against Palestinian youths... The Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership, headed by Mahmoud Abbas, who falsely describes himself as President of the State of Palestine, has been encouraging our teenagers to engage in the so-called "popular resistance" against Israel. But these leaders, including Abbas himself, are not willing to send their own children and grandchildren to participate in the "popular struggle." As usual, our leaders want the children of others to take to the streets and throw stones and firebombs at Jews. The "popular struggle" that the PA leadership is spearheading these days is anything but peaceful. In some instances, it has even proved to be lethal. Recently, Alexander Levlovich was killed after losing control of his vehicle in Jerusalem. Russia Just Exposed MASSIVE Secret About ISIS In Syria nObama...
{Sean Brown} ~ Last week, Russia announced that they will be undertaking a major campaign to finally rid Syria of the Islamic State terror group (ISIS) after the country’s president asked for help... Once they brought their military into Syria, they made a major discovery about ISIS that the U.S. had been keeping secret, and they just exposed it to the entire world. We all know that the American initiative against ISIS has been weak at best, and some have even accused Barack nObama of intentionally going easy on the group to avoid political fallout from his supporters in America. Well, our suspicions appear to have been confirmed by the head of Russia’s international affairs committee, who lashed out against the president’s lack of action in response to the accusations that Russia was hitting U.S.-trained rebels. Appearing on France’s Europe 1 Radio, Pushkov questioned whether America was even going after ISIS and accused nObama of lying to the American people about the entire situation. “The US-led coalition spent a whole year pretending they were striking ISIL targets but where are the results of these strikes?”.

{Cliff Kincaid} ~ The conventional wisdom is that Vladimir Putin has blindsided Barack nObama in the Middle East, catching the U.S. off-guard... It’s another nObama “failure,” we’re told. “nObama administration scrambles as Russia attempts to seize initiative in Syria,” is how a Washington Post headline described it. A popular cartoon shows Putin kicking sand in the faces of nObama and Secretary of State hanoi-John Kerry on a beach. The conventional wisdom is driven by the notion that nObama has the best of intentions but that he’s been outmaneuvered. What if his intention all along has been to remake the Middle East to the advantage of Moscow and its client state Iran? What if he knows exactly what he’s doing? Too many commentators refuse to consider that nObama is deliberately working against U.S. interests and in favor of the enemies of the U.S. and Israel. In his U.N. address, nObama said, “As President of the United States, I am mindful of the dangers that we face; they cross my desk every morning. I lead the strongest military that the world has ever known, and I will never hesitate to protect my country or our allies, unilaterally and by force where necessary.” This is laughable. We still have a strong military, but the inevitable conclusion from what’s recently transpired is that he doesn’t want to protect the interests of the U.S. or its allies in the Middle East. Of course, under the current regime, hanoi-Kerry is probably the most ideal candidate for the position, given his lack of character and disdain for our country. A questioner in the audience asks, “In light of the current miscarriage of diplomacy that is the Iranian deal, how would you suggest to Secretary of State hanoi-Kerry to restructure the deal or to remedy any further deals with Iran?” Bolton replies, “I mean, my recommendation for Secretary hanoi-Kerry is that he should resign.” As for the foreign policy mess that nObama has created, Bolton says, “The best thing we can hope for is the world goes to sleep for sixteen months, because it’s not going to get any better. The ground has already shifted under our feet dramatically. It will shift further until the next president is sworn in.”.
CAIR Propagandists Issue “Safety Warning”...
{rickwells.us} ~ CAIR is playing the victim card in advance of scheduled protests for this coming Friday and Saturday, October 9th and 10th, dates in which they are expecting to be targeted by what they describe as “hate rallies.”... According to the broadcast on the local, non-affiliated Nashville news and weather channel 5, a warning has been issued for mosques around the country. The newsreader reports that the source of the warning was not a law enforcement agency, but the Islamic advocacy group, CAIR. Of course, anyone not paying attention and mistaking the station for one with actual network affiliation might not realize they are being subjected to pro-Muslim propaganda. Certainly not the President of the United States,” there should have been a cry from those attending for Earnest to stop his calculated dishonesty and non-transparency, according to more than one law enforcement official. Those accused of misconduct — even criminal activity — in the nObama administration have relied on stonewalling, deceit and news media disinformation to avoid punishment that lower level government workers are forced to endure, cops claim. The news coverage regarding the use by presidential hopeful Hilly Clinton of a non-government email system complete with private Internet server has placed other allegations of malfeasance or unlawful behavior by Clinton and her aides in the backseat of the campaign’s “Scooby Doo” van, according to a former intelligence official with a specialization in Islamic terrorist groups, Lloyd Victor McKeller. Back in those days, and in the days before that, most of those coming to America wanted to assimilate into this burgeoning democratic society. Those that were having trouble, that were stuck in old-country ways, were known as “greenhorns” and worked hard to escape that pejorative, to become true Americans themselves. They wanted to be one of us, to live the dream together, win or lose. These days, not so much. The fight over marriage in Alabama had reached the boiling point before the Supreme Court issued its Obergefell opinion in June, with a federal judge demanding acknowledgement of same-sex marriage and the Alabama Supreme Court issuing a permanent injunction against the order..
Defeating ISIS, Rolling Back Iran Policy Brief
{David A. Patten} ~ In a recent article in The Atlantic, terrorism scholar Martha Crenshaw claimed it would be impossible to fight one enemy—either Iran or ISIS (the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sha'm [Greater Syria])—without strengthening the other... It appears the nObama administration agrees with this prognosis and is warming to an expanded role for Tehran in the region. This is not surprising given President nObama's statement last December that Iran could be "a very successful regional power ... that would be good for everybody." Then in early March 2015, the Joint Chiefs' chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey remarked that Iran's efforts against ISIS in Iraq "will in the main have been a positive thing," so long as it did not inflame sectarian tensions. More recently, the State Department has been walking back Secretary of State hanoi-John Kerry's slip that the administration might be open to negotiating with the Iranian-aligned Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad. However, the administration should not be so quick to cede to Tehran's victories in Iraq and Syria as the price for ISIS's destruction. Not only would it be disastrously wrong to defeat a middle-weight Islamist foe by strengthening a far more dangerous Islamist enemy, but the U.S. government is entirely capable of defeating ISIS and rolling back the Tehran regime at the same time. But to accomplish this, it needs more than a plan to "degrade, and ultimately destroy ISIL [ISIS]." The administration needs three sets of policies—for Iran, Iraq, and Syria—with a convergent approach to defeating ISIS. The Blatant Anti-Israel Bias at The New York Times
{Noah Beck} ~ The anti-Israel prejudice at The New York Times (NYT) is so extensive and persistent that the paper’s partiality is now undeniable and well documented... (see the endless archive of NYT bias reports at two media watchdogs: CAMERA and Honest Reporting). Here are just four egregious examples from the last few weeks. On September 10, the NYT singled out Jewish lawmakers on the Iran deal. On September 15, the NYT suggested that the Israeli who was murdered by rock-throwing Palestinians had died of a “self-inflicted accident” after the attackers had merely “pelted the road” (rather than his car).
