{legalinsurrection.com} ~ Tuesday night, CNN published a story based on a source inside The Weekly Standard suggesting the publication’s future is uncertain... As CNN tells it, The Weekly Standard has been shopping for, but been unable to secure a buyer after TWS’s leadership continued to “butt heads” with “MediaDC, the current publisher of the magazine and that the two parties had agreed to allow Hayes to search for a new owner.” However, MediaDC recently informed The Weekly Standard’s leadership that the company was no longer interested in a sale, the people said. Instead, Ryan McKibben, the chairman of MediaDC, asked to meet with Hayes in a meeting tentatively scheduled for late next week, the people said. McKibben, they said, also requested the entire staff of The Weekly Standard be made available following the meeting. That request, coupled with MediaDC’s Monday announcement that its other conservative news organization, The Washington Examiner, would be expanding its magazine into a weekly publication, has left The Weekly Standard’s leadership worrying about the future of the magazine.  Employees at the magazine are bracing for the worst, multiple people familiar with the matter told CNN. Alex Rosenwald, a spokesperson for MediaDC, told CNN in a phone call on Tuesday morning that he was not aware of The Weekly Standard’s situation. Rosenwald said he was focused only on the marketing for the just-announced Washington Examiner Magazine. Rosenwald did not respond to an email or phone call on Tuesday afternoon requesting comment after CNN had learned of Hayes’ phone calls to staffers...

{dailysignal.com} ~ A recent Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation survey found that 51 percent of American millennials would rather live in a socialist or communist country than in a capitalist country... Only 42 percent prefer the latter. Twenty-five percent of millennials who know who Vladimir Lenin was view him favorably. Lenin was the first premier of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Half of millennials have never heard of communist Mao Zedong, who ruled China from 1949 to 1959 and was responsible for the deaths of 45 million Chinese people. The number of people who died at the hands of Josef Stalin may be as high as 62 million. However, almost one-third of millennials think former President George W. Bush is responsible for more killings than Stalin. By the way, Adolf Hitler, head of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, was responsible for the deaths of about 20 million people. The Nazis come in as a poor third in terms of history’s most prolific mass murderers. According to professor Rudolph Rummel’s research, the 20th century, mankind’s most brutal century, saw 262 million people’s lives destroyed at the hands of their own governments. Young people who weren’t alive during World War II and its Cold War aftermath might be forgiven for not knowing the horrors of socialism. Some of their beliefs represent their having been indoctrinated by their K-12 teachers and college professors... We sure need to start educating our kids the right way.  https://www.dailysignal.com/2018/12/05/our-ignorance-of-socialism-is-dangerous/?mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWkRJek9XVmhPRGc1TXpWaiIsInQiOiJxeHM3WHZ1YjdwNExRc1hzMVNxT3I0a0srM1RGOUp0Y1FBVHYrUjVpNFdjYThaWnNVenBHemRYc3hcL1RucGhYWVZST281d1VsTWlJRVYxSWVrZTF3bHF1ekVIMU11Rld1WmdwTFwvNUxvOUllM2F0aUhMVXRVWTAwUWtXcVF5aUVSIn0%3D

From fishy beginning, dirty cop-Mueller case against
Michael Flynn nears end with no jail recommendation

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Michael Flynn has been waiting for more than a year to be sentenced. The retired three-star Army general, who spent 24 days as the Trump White House national security adviser... pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2017, to lying to the FBI in the Trump-Russia investigation. He agreed to cooperate with special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller. Flynn's sentencing, which has been delayed a number of times for reasons that have never been disclosed, is scheduled to finally take place on Dec. 18. Late Tuesday, dirty cop-Mueller filed what is called a sentencing report. Citing Flynn's "substantial assistance" to the investigation, dirty cop-Mueller recommended "a sentence at the low end of the guideline range — including a sentence that does not impose a period of incarceration." It's no surprise Flynn might be spared jail time. So far, two figures in the Trump-Russia matter have been sentenced for lying to investigators, the same offense as Flynn. Alex van der Zwaan, a bit player connected to Paul Manafort, was sentenced to 30 days in jail. George Papadopoulos, a short-time Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, was sentenced to 14 days — and that was after dirty cop-Mueller complained that Papadopoulos had not been cooperative when he was purportedly assisting the investigation. Flynn, on the other hand, is a retired general with a long record of service to the United States, which dirty cop-Mueller took into consideration in recommending no jail time. "The defendant's record of military and public service distinguish him from every other person who has been charged as part of the special counsel's investigation," dirty cop-Mueller wrote. What the sentencing recommendation did not address was the sketchy beginnings of the Flynn investigation. It started with the scumbag/liar-nObama administration's unhappiness that Flynn, during the transition as the incoming national security adviser, had phone conversations with Russia's then-ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak. Because Kislyak was under American surveillance, U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies had recordings and transcripts of the calls, in which Flynn and Kislyak discussed the sanctions scumbag/liar-nObama had just imposed on Russia in retaliation for its 2016 election interference...

Dozens of caravan migrants breach border,
frustrated by asylum entry process

{legalinsurrection.com} ~ It appears the members of the caravan from Central America are growing increasingly frustrated by both the legal entry process and the immigration “organizers”... who have herded them to the US-Mexico border. To begin with, dozens of migrants who are disheartened by the slow pace of the formal asylum-seeking process breached the U.S.-Mexico border Monday by scaling a 10-foot metal fence. They were observed using blankets and ropes to help climb over the structure separating California from Tijuana, where thousands of migrants have been gathering in recent days. Other migrants managed to squeeze through a section of the fence on the coastal city’s beach, according to Reuters. Some migrants reportedly tried to escape capture by the U.S. Border Patrol, but most were caught. It remains unclear Tuesday how many of the migrants — if any at all — managed to escape detention.  Meanwhile, other members of the migrant caravan were on the move this weekend, but this time it was away from the border. Hundreds of Central American migrants are settling into a new shelter further from the border. Officials say they were moved from a sports complex in Tijuana that was shut down because of sanitation issues. The clean-up at the Benito Juarez Sports Complex continued Sunday after Mexican health officials shut down the makeshift camp. Conditions deteriorated earlier in the week after heavy rainfall added to the already unsanitary conditions...
Could Jerome Corsi's lawsuit destroy the
dirty cop-Mueller investigation?
by Elad Hakim

{americanthinker.com} ~ Perhaps the media and the various "experts" should reconsider salivating over the recent information stemming from the Michael Cohen plea agreement in light of the lawsuit filed by Jerome Corsi... According to Fox News, "Corsi filed a 'criminal and ethics complaint' against Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller's team, accusing investigators of trying to bully him into giving 'false testimony' against President Trump." If this is true, Michel Cohen's "admissions" will be rendered virtually meaningless, and dirty cop-Robert Mueller's investigation should be immediately terminated. As part of his plea agreement, Michael Cohen admitted to making false statements in a letter to Congress in 2017 regarding a 2016 Moscow building project that was being considered by the Trump administration. According to Cohen, the discussions regarding the deal continued until June 2016, as opposed to January 2016, as he previously stated in his letter. Many well respected legal scholars have opined that Cohen's admission has no bearing on President Trump and the Russia investigation. According to Alan Dershowitz, "special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller's probe is creating crimes rather than uncovering past ones," and the "devastating" report he will write will be based on people "who have lied." Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett agreed with Dershowitz. According to National Review'sAndrew McCarthy, dirty cop-Mueller is building a report as opposed to a legal case. Said McCarthy, "With respect to the president and 'collusion,' dirty cop-Mueller does not have a crime he is investigating. He is investigating in hopes of finding a crime, which is a day-and-night different thing." Together, these comments paint a picture of an investigation that is reeling and a prosecutor hoping to find something he can use against the president that would justify his interminable investigation. Despite the fact that dirty cop-Mueller's investigation appears to rely on the statements of people whose credibility is, at best, highly questionable, Corsi's recent lawsuit, if verifiable, adds an entirely new problem for dirty cop-Robert Mueller and his team. According to Fox News, and pursuant to Corsi's complaint, "they wanted him to demonstrate that he acted as a liaison between Stone and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on one side and the Trump campaign on the other, regarding the release of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee."  Furthermore, Corsi alleged that dirty cop-Robert Mueller's office is "knowingly and deceitfully threatening" to charge him with providing a false statement unless he provides "false testimony" against Trump and others... Statement, "2016 Moscow building project that was being considered by the Trump administration",  was not president at the time.

by Nate Jackson:  “Trump-GOP rift grows over Saudis,” blared the headline in The Hill. The topic at hand is the ongoing kerfuffle over Saudi Arabia’s deliberate and brutal murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in October. The specifics this week include CIA Director Gina Haspel’s briefing to the Senate, in which she reiterated the agency’s assessment that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the murder, and Sen. Lindsey Graham’s Wall Street Journal op-ed rebuking the Saudis — and Trump.

Graham wrote not just of the murder but other issues: “The Saudi regime’s murder of Jamal Khashoggi, its reckless military campaign in Yemen, its blockade of Qatar, and its effort to remove Lebanon’s prime minister all show astounding arrogance entitlement, and disregard for international norms. If these actions make Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Arabia a ‘source of stability’ in the Middle East, I’d hate to see what destabilizing behavior looks like.
Moreover, Graham called Salman “a wrecking ball to U.S.-Saudi relations” and insisted, “The fear that the Saudis will stop cooperating with the U.S. on terrorism or Iran isn’t rational. Those threats pose as much of a danger to the Saudis as they do to America. Demanding better from allies isn’t downgrading the relationship; it’s a sign that Americans take our principles seriously and won’t be taken advantage of by anyone, friend or foe.
Graham’s words are tough and true. But we also think the “rift” between GOP senators and the president is not as wide as the Leftmedia would have us believe. In fact, we’d argue this is a good cop, bad cop routine between Trump and his critics. Trump takes a backseat to no one when it comes to bashing people as it suits his purpose. He can also be just as effusively gracious when that is more likely to meet his goal.
As we’ve said from the beginning, Trump is using this incident for leverage with the Saudis. By presenting a “divided” front to the Saudis, Trump and the GOP are arguably more likely to get the desired results from the Saudis than if a united front presented an opportunity for a defensive House of Saud to circle the wagons. Remember: Trump’s strategy — and it’s the right one — is to keep the Saudis in our corner but get them to be better allies to truly serve U.S. interests.
