KNOWING WHERE THE BODIES AREN’T  BURIED   Nevada is a sparsely populated state filled with stories and legends of the Old West. One such legend involved the state’s prized accomplishment: Hoover Dam. Las Vegas Review-Journal brings us the story: “Southern Nevada legend has it that during the five years of Hoover Dam construction, some workers were killed on the job and accidentally buried in the dam’s cement structure. Ninety-six construction workers died constructing the historic dam from 1931 to 1936, according to a report from the United States Bureau of Reclamation. Over 100 additional dam workers died off the job from causes including pneumonia, meningitis and typhoid fever. But none of them could have been buried in the Hoover Dam itself, said Dennis McBride, director of the Nevada State Museum who once worked for the Bureau of Reclamation at the dam… ‘The forms were big enough that the concrete, that pore, would only come up maybe to about a worker’s ankles,’ McBride explained. ‘So there couldn’t have possibly been anyone buried.’” - Fox News

 slump-Trump's Royal Flush
Alternate headline: "Casino mogul wins gambling capital." Donald slump-Trump is on cruise control (or, if you prefer, Cruz control) and headed for the Republican nomination. His decisive 20-point win in Nevada is just the latest marker along that road. "Now we're winning, winning, winning the country," slump-Trump said in his victory speech, "and soon the country is going to start winning, winning, winning." That is the draw for gamblers, isn't it?
True, Nevada is an outlier (that will lose its No. 4 position in the primaries in 2020), but slump-Trump barely even had to try to win the state where the tallest residential building bears his name. It almost goes without saying that slump-Trump's New York values play well in a state made famous by Sin City. While Marco Rubio (second place) and Ted Cruz (third) spent time and money in the Silver State, slump-Trump held two rallies. Two. And he won across pretty much every demographic and interest. He ran the table.
One might say that's easier to do when your supporters are the poll workers. The odds are always in favor of the house, after all. But voter fraud isn't why slump-Trump won. No, this election cycle is, again, a perfect storm of anger, populist rhetoric and media adulation that slump-Trump has exploited expertly.
Finally, after Tuesday, the theory that many, including us, have espoused — that slump-Trump can be stopped by unified opposition — is looking less certain. In short, that's because infighting has taken its toll. Cruz voters don't think Rubio is conservative (which is laughable), and Rubio voters don't think Cruz is honest or electable. Uniting the clans would be a herculean, if not impossible, task, and it's getting tougher every day to see a viable path for any non-slump-Trump.
Now we move on to the 11 states voting on Super Tuesday, March 1. slump-Trump leads in every state but Texas.  -The Patriot Post

Senate GOP: We Won't Consider Any nObama  Nominee  In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell, the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee said they will ignore any person Barack nObama nominates to fill the vacancy in the Supreme Court. "Because our decision is based on constitutional principle and born of a necessity to protect the will of the American people, this committee will not hold hearings on any Supreme Court nominee until after our next president is sworn in on Jan.20, 2017," the 11 senators wrote.
Republicans are winning nObama's political battle over constitutional powers by opting not to play. As Sen. Orrin Hatch said, by cracking the door through signaling the judiciary committee might hold a hearing for an nObama nominee, it would only create more political posturing instead of answering a constitutional question. The principled stand comes with risk, though. A Pew poll found only 38% of Americans think the Senate should suspend the judge search until after a new administration comes into the White House, and 10% of those Americans could change their mind based on who nObama nominates. With many GOP seats on the line in November, the Senate could flip to Democrats.
In making this decision, the senators pointed to the precedent that no SCOTUS judge was appointed during the final months of a lame duck presidency since 1932. They also threw the hypocritical words Democrats  made in the past arguing for the blockage of Republican nominees back into their faces. The letter cited the words Sen. Harry dinky-Reid said in 2005: "The duties of the Senate are set forth in the U.S. Constitution. Nowhere in that document does it say the Senate has a duty to give the presidential nominees a vote." Goose, meet gander.

What the left is leaving out of the
'free college' debate
 Andrew P. Kelly
.
.
{aei.org} ~ It’s now an article of faith among progressives that public college should be free. Their logic is simple: Tuition is increasingly expensive, and high prices keep high school graduates from enrolling at all... cause some that do enroll to drop-out before earning a degree, and force students and families to take on student loan debt. Free college proponents argue that the only way out of this mess is via brute financial force: spend billions in federal and state money to lower tuition to zero. One of their favorite rhetorical tools in this and other social policy debates is to compare America, land of high tuition, to other countries that have publicly-funded free tuition. In a Washington Post op-ed from October of last year, for instance, 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders argued: “In Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Mexico, public colleges and universities remain tuition-free. They’re free throughout Germany, too. … The short answer is, it’s a mixed bag. But in general it doesn’t appear that free college countries are far ahead of those who charge tuition; and some free college countries lag behind. First, a caveat: Countries obviously differ dramatically in terms of the politics, public policies and culture, so isolating the effect of one policy isn’t possible. But if the relationship between free college and educational outcomes doesn’t run in the predicted direction, it at least encourages us to ask why.  https://www.aei.org/publication/dont-believe-in-free-college-as-a-p...

What John Oliver Got Wrong
About Abortion Laws
 Sarah Torre
.
John Oliver
.
{dailysignal.com} ~ On Sunday, late night comedian John Oliver spent 16 minutes of his HBO show cracking jokes about abortion in a crass attempt to satirize reasonable state laws requiring abortion clinics to follow minimum health and safety standards... The brunt of Oliver’s mocking attack was aimed at a 2013 Texas law that iscurrently being reviewed by the Supreme Court. The law, known as H.B. 2, in part requires doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals and abortion clinics to meet the same basic safety and cleanliness standards as other facilities that perform invasive outpatient procedures. Regulations like H.B. 2 are common sense and much-needed policy measures. The dangerous, unsanitary conditions of Philadelphia late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s “house of horrors” shocked the nation when they came to light during his 2013 murder trial.       http://dailysignal.com/2016/02/23/what-john-oliver-got-wrong-about-...

{dailysignal.com} ~ All Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee promised Tuesday to block any candidate nominated by President Barack nObama to fill the Supreme Court seat vacated by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia... In an open letter to Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell, the 11 Republican senators said they plan “to exercise our constitutional authority to withhold consent on any nominee to the Supreme Court submitted by this president.”  Under the leadership of Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, the group effectively has barred any nObama nominee to succeed Scalia from advancing to the Senate floor through the regular process.        http://dailysignal.com/2016/02/23/republicans-on-judiciary-committe...

Hilly conspiracy to evade FOIA through server?
Judicial Watch gets to find out
William A. Jacobson
.
.
{legalinsurrection.com} ~ In a ruling sure to keep the Hilly Clinton email scandal alive through the summer, if not longer... a federal just has granted Judicial Watch the right to take discovery as to whether Hilly’s home server was part of an effort to evade the Freedom of Information (FOIA) law by shifting federal records off-site and into the sole control of Hilly, her attorney’s and consultants. We have been following Judicial Watch’s federal lawsuit seeking State Department records regarding Huma Abedin’s outside employment. The FOIA request giving rise to the suit also has given rise to much obfuscation by State, which even resulted in the Court ordering Hilly Clinton to provide a declaration under oath as to records. Given the difficulty of obtaining records, particularly in light of the destruction of at least some records maintained on Hilly’s home server, let Judicial Watch to seek discovery, including depositions of key officials. Such discovery is not routine in FOIA cases, and good cause needs to be shown to obtain discovery.        http://legalinsurrection.com/2016/02/hillary-conspiracy-to-evade-fo...

Newly Released Documents Show
A Pattern Of Clinton Deception

{dailycaller.com} ~ Aficionados of complex financial crime will want a look at a new, never-before-seen document obtained by Judicial Watch... Last month, Judicial Watch released 246 pages of previously undisclosed Office of Independent Counsel (OIC) internal memos on criminal charges against Hilly Clinton in the Whitewater investigation. On February 9, this reporter provided  more details on the case, based on a newly obtained confidential document. The document included a description of the case against Mrs. Clinton “in the legal terms of an indictment.” The new document, disclosed today by Judicial Watch, goes further. A thirty-two page OIC memo titled “HRC Order of Proof,” it spells out in great detail the evidence that would have been presented at Mrs. Clinton’s trial.        http://dailycaller.com/2016/02/22/why-whitewater-matters-newly-rele...

Iran Celebrates nObama Billions W/New
Bounty on Salman Rushdie
Daniel Greenfield
.
.
{frontpagemag.com} ~ Everyone knew that Iran was going to put nObama's billions to use financing terrorism, but I don't think anyone expected them to bring back that terror classic... But there's nothing like Muslims when it comes to grudges. The Sunnis and Shiites are still mad at each other over a thousand year grudge. So don't expect them to forget about Salman Rushdie anytime soon. Forty state-run Iranian media outlets have jointly offered a new $600,000 bounty for the death of British Indian author Salman Rushdie, according to the state-run Fars News Agency. Fars News Agency, which is closely affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), was among the largest contributors. Next time anyone quotes Fars, here's a little reminder, it's an actual terrorist organization. So is the entire regime. The one nObama decided to pump billions into while Iran continues pursuing its nuclear weapons program.        http://www.frontpagemag.com/point/261939/iran-celebrates-obama-bill...

War is Over, Prison Camp Closes
nObama’s closing Guantanamo shows again that he doesn’t even believe we’re in a war
Robert Spencer
.
.
{frontpagemag.com} ~ Barack nObama announced Tuesday that he was finally fulfilling one of his foremost campaign promises and closing the Guantanamo Bay detention center... Usually the closing of a prison camp for enemy combatants signals the end of the war, and since nObama has never acknowledged that the U.S.’s defense against the global jihad is a war at all, it is fitting that he should end his presidency by closing the camp that so notoriously demonstrated otherwise. And besides, the jihadi leadership ranks need replenishing. Certainly nObama has replenished them a great deal already. With as many as thirty percent of prisoners freed from Gitmo returning to the jihad, one would think that the nObama administration would pause and consider their plan very carefully before releasing more or transferring them to far less secure prisons inside the United States. That is, administration officials would pause and consider if they had any genuine concern for national security, but it is increasingly clear that they do not. After all, in January, al-Qaeda bomb expert Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed al-Sawah was released from Guantanamo. What could possibly go wrong? What benefit could jihad terrorists possibly get from a bomb expert? And just last week, Fox News reported: “When Ibrahim al Qosi was released from Guantanamo Bay in 2012, a lawyer for the former Usama bin Laden aide said he looked forward to living a life of peace in his native Sudan. Three years later, Qosi has emerged as a prominent voice of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, appearing in a number of AQAP propaganda videos — including a 50-minute lecture calling for the takeover of Saudi Arabia.” http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/261933/war-over-prison-camp-closes-...

Speaker Ryano: 'We Are Making Legal

{cnsnews.com} ~ President nObama "can try" to go around Congress in his attempt to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay Cuba, House Speaker Paul Ryano told news conference on Wednesday. "He has no authority to do so," Ryano added... Ryan reminded reporters that Congress voted overwhelmingly for the National Defense Authorization Act, which contains a provision saying the president may not move Guantanamo inmates to U.S. soil. "We are making legal preparations if the president tries to break the law," Ryano said. "And what boggles my mind, is that the president is contemplating directing the military to knowingly break the law. "Our law is really clear, and by the way, Democrats wrote this law when they were in the majority, when they ran Congress, which is, these detainees cannnot come to American soil. Open your eyes Ryano, he is doing it. http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/speaker-ryan-we-are...

With GOP nomination looming,
slump-Trump is slated to take
witness stand in fraud trial
 Michael Isikoff
.
.
{yahoo.com} ~ Here’s a part of the political calendar that nobody in the Republican Party seems to have noticed... This spring, just as the GOP nomination battle enters its final phase, frontrunner Donald slump-Trump could be forced to take time out for some unwanted personal business: He’s due to take the witness stand in a federal courtroom in San Diego, where he is being accused of running a financial fraud. In court filings last Friday, lawyers for both sides in a long-running civil lawsuit over the now defunct slump-Trump University named slump-Trump on their witness lists. That makes it all but certain that the reality-show star and international businessman will be forced to be grilled under oath over allegations in the lawsuit that he engaged in deceptive trade practices and scammed thousands of students who enrolled in his “university” courses in response to promises he would make them rich in the real estate market. Although the case has been winding its way through the courts for the past five years — and slump-Trump has denied all wrongdoing — the final pretrial conference is now slated for May 6, according to the latest pleadings in the case. No trial date has been set, but the judge has indicated his interest in moving the case forward, the pleadings show.       https://www.yahoo.com/politics/with-gop-nomination-looming-trump-sl...

U.S. general: nObama 'aiding

U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
.
{wnd.com} ~ President nObama is urging Congress to approve the closing of the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, allow for the transfer of remaining detainees to the U.S. and try them in U.S. courts... In calling for the policy change, nObama said the move would save taxpayers money without compromising security. In fact, nObama argues that America is less safe because of the facility. “For many years, it’s been clear that the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay does not advance our national security. It undermines it,” said nObama Tuesday. “This is not just my opinion. This is the opinion of many in our military. It’s counterproductive to our fight against terrorists because they use it as propaganda in their efforts to recruit.” Retired three-star U.S. Air Force Gen. Tom McInerney isn’t buying it.        http://www.wnd.com/2016/02/u-s-general-obama-aiding-and-abetting-th...

The Lie of Pro-Palestinian Activism
Caroline Glick
.
.
{truthrevolt.org} ~ Last Thursday, yet again, we learned that pro-Palestinian activists couldn’t care less about Palestinians.
.
For them, the Palestinians whose rights they claim to champion are nothing more than means to another end.
.
Our latest lesson came from the University of Chicago.
.
Last week, Palestinian human rights activist Bassam Eid was abused and threatened by supposedly pro-Palestinian and pro-peace activists as he tried to inform his audience about the state of Palestinian human rights today.
.
Bassam Eid has dedicated his life to defending the human rights of the Palestinians. From 1967 through 1994, Israel administered the population centers of Judea, Samaria and Gaza. From 1994, with the establishment of the Palestinian Authority until today, the Palestinians have been ruled by the PLO and Hamas.
.
As a human rights activist, until 1994, Eid directed most of his criticisms against Israel. Since then, Eid has defended Palestinian human rights from abuse at the hands of the PLO and Hamas.
.
Until 1994, Eid’s human rights activism made him the darling of the far Left. He was a co-director of B’tselem. He was invited to prestigious anti-Israel forums worldwide and given platforms where he presented his accusations against Israel to international acclaim.
.
But since the PA was formed, those who once upheld him as a hero have turned their backs on him. In so doing, they have shown their true colors.
.
During his talk at the University of Chicago, those colors came shining through.
.
Eid talked about the human rights abuses and repression of Palestinians not at the hands of Israel, but at the hands of the PA and Hamas. In other words, Eid held the Palestinian leadership accountable for its failure to respect the rights of the Palestinians it claims to speak for.
.
This, it turns out, is a big no-no.
.
Eid was attacked by two distinct groups for daring to hold the Palestinian leadership accountable for its abuses of Palestinian human rights. In their collusion, we see the truth about those who proclaim their commitment to “justice for the Palestinians” on the one hand, and those who proclaim their devotion to “peace” on the other hand.
.
The first group to attack him was Students for Justice in Palestine. In leading the assault on Eid, SJP members interrupted him, threatened him and demonized him.
.
“You must never again speak about the Palestinians!,” some yelled in English at a man who has devoted his life to defending Palestinian rights.
.
In the meantime, other SJP members reportedly threatened Eid in Arabic with physical violence.
.
While revolting, the SJP activists’ behavior was not in the least surprising. Indeed, it was eminently predictable.
.
All the SJP goons did was implement their hate group’s official tactics and strategy guidelines.
.
In October 2014, the Amcha Initiative, which documents anti-Jewish campaigns on US university campuses, published an internal SJP document from SUNY Binghamton. The document, titled, “Declaration of Principles and Strategies of Binghamton University Students for Justice in Palestine,” laid out SJP’s goals and tactics and strategies for action.
.
SJP’s goal is to demonize Israel and anyone who dares to stand up for Israel or support the Jewish state even tangentially.
.
SJP accomplishes this goal by among other things pushing for a boycott of Israel and blackballing all groups that support Israel. Indeed, not only does SJP rule out cooperating with pro-Israel groups, it rejects cooperation with campus groups that cooperate with pro-Israel groups. That is, anyone who accepts that students have a right to support Israel is himself illegitimate.
.
To make it impossible to defend Israel on campuses, SJP seeks to make any student who in any way supports Israel socially toxic for his fellow students.
.
In other words, SJP’s goal is to treat Israel’s campus supporters as subhuman.
.
As to its direct actions against pro-Israel speakers – or in Eid’s case, speakers that do not direct their attacks solely against Israel – the SJP SUNY Binghamton document instructs SJP members to disrupt and shut down such events on campus. Among other things, this goal is to be achieved through “political theater to protest the event,” as well as acts of “disruption.”
.
SJP members at the University of Chicago, like their comrades who rioted and shut down former Shin Bet director Ami Ayalon’s speech at King’s College in London last month, and those that rioted in Chicago last month against a Shabbat reception held by an American Jewish-Israeli gay rights group at the National LGBTQ Task Force’ annual convention showed through their actions that they couldn’t care less about the Palestinians as people.
.
And again, this apathy is inherent to their movement.
.
The internal document from SUNY Binghamton makes clear that SJP doesn’t have a vision for Palestinian freedom. Rather, SJP will “support any and all visions of Palestinian liberation.”
.
In other words, if “Palestine” is ultimately a liberal democracy or an Islamic theocracy is none of their business. Whether Palestinians end up with no rights, or full civil rights, is completely irrelevant.
.
SJP is about one thing only – demonizing Israel and booting its supporters out of the public square.
.
This then brings us their Jewish collaborators.
.
Eid’s speech was abruptly adjourned after he was threatened by an SJP member during the question and answer session. But before it was adjourned, two self-identified Jews, one of whom introduced herself as a member of J Street Chicago – the University of Chicago branch of J Street – contributed to the hostile atmosphere by asking Eid the same question.
.
Emma from J Street put it this way, “I hear from you... a lot of disappointment in your own leadership.
.
I’m wondering what are you doing bringing this message to a room full of Americans, many of us Jews?” Emma from J Street continued, “Why do you think it is an important message to bring to us in particular...without sort of talking about the issues that the Americans need to base decision on like the occupation and settlements?” Got that? For J Street, Eid committed a crime by teaching the American public – and first and foremost, the American Jewish community – that the absence of peace isn’t entirely Israel’s fault.
.
As Emma – and her Jewish comrade – see things this is completely unacceptable.
.
There is a narrative. That narrative places all the blame for the absence of peace and Palestinian suffering on “the occupation and settlements.” Any deviation from this narrative is a crime against peace.
.
Eid explained that for 68 years, the Palestinians have blamed Israel for all their suffering. He insisted that the time has come for the Palestinians to take responsibility for their actions and stop shirking that responsibility by blaming Israel for their own crimes.
.
For forcing her to hear this calumny, Emma from J Street had no choice but to condemn him for the crime of deviating from the narrative.
.
The final questioner, or protesters, as the case may be, failed to cite his affiliation. But he brought the two sides together.
.
He demanded that Eid justify his decision to speak publicly about the Palestinians despite the fact that his speech “wasn’t sponsored by any Palestinian clubs on campus.”
.
Both Arab and Jewish “pro-Palestinian” activists cheered him for his statement.
.
Indeed, how dare he teach people who claim to care about the Palestinians about the Palestinians? How dare he say that Palestinians are people, and are not driven only by their collective hatred of Israel and rejection of its right to exist? How dare he mention that Palestinians have the right to work wherever they want and that Jews in Judea and Samaria aren’t inherently evil and actually provide livelihoods for thousands of Palestinians who work with them? How dare Eid come to University of Chicago and mention that neither Fatah nor Hamas have built governing institutions built on the notion that Palestinians have the right to freedom, but rather they have built institution geared toward forcing the Palestinians to seek Israel’s destruction, while trampling their human rights? How dare he not bow and scrape before SJP and accept its positions as a condition for speaking on campus? And so, once again, last Thursday we learned the big lie at the heart of the supposedly pro-Palestinian movement. None of its members – whether from SJP, J Street, or any of their comrades – care about the Palestinians or their rights.
.
All they care about is attacking Israel.
.
None of this is new information. It’s been obvious for several years now that the pro-Palestinian movement is merely a means to demonize Israel and its supporters. The only real question at this point is what is it going to take for US law enforcement bodies, legislatures and university administrations to finally take action against these hate groups, to the benefit of Palestinians, Israel and the cause of human rights?
.

JUST IN->  Pelosi Announces House Resolution To Condemn Trump’s ‘Racist, Xenophobic Tweets’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Monday that Democrats will offer a resolution condemning President Donald Trump’s “racist” tweets against Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Pelosi wrote a letter to House Democrats announcing that they will draft a resolution to condemn Trump’s “racist” tweets against progressive Democrats.

“This weekend, the President went beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote.

“This morning, the President doubled down on his attacks on our four colleagues suggesting they apologize to him,” she added. “Let me be clear, our Caucus will continue to forcefully respond to these disgusting attacks.”

President Trump taunted the “squad” of far-left first-term progressive Democrats on Sunday, telling them to go back and fix the places they came from before telling the rest of the country what to do.

Trump’s tweets caused an uproar amongst the media and Hollywood celebrity classes, and now, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D–TX) hopes to capitalize on the president’s message by condemning them in Congress.

Lee said she will draft a resolution of condemnation.

“Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be drafting a Resolution of Condemnation for the words used by President Trump about four members of the House of Representatives over the weekend,” Jackson Lee’s office wrote:

Donald J. Trump  @realDonaldTrump

....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

President Trump’s remarks seemed particularly directed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who is a former Somalian refugee.

Omar said Friday that the president “shouldn’t be in office” and told an audience of high school students that America was failing to uphold its promise to be a just society.

Rep. Omar said Trump was “stoking white nationalism” after he tweeted that some progressive congresswomen should “go back” to where they came from.

“You are stoking white nationalism because you are angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting against your hate-filled agenda,” Omar wrote:

“America's answer to the intolerant man is diversity, the very diversity which our heritage of religious freedom has inspired.” -RFK

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez claimed Monday that President Trump’s remarks serve as the “hallmark language of white supremacists.”

President Trump tweeted Monday that Democrats need to apologize for the “foul language” and “terrible things they have said”:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!

Donald J. Trump  @realDonaldTrump

If Democrats want to unite around the foul language & racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular & unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I can tell you that they have made Israel feel abandoned by the U.S.
