$12 Trillion Won't Save the World
Two degrees Celsius. That's the maximum amount of future global warming environmentalists say the world can tolerate. Anything more, they claim, and our efforts to stave off a climate catastrophe will fall flat. It's a spurious magic number, but one that was formally adapted into the Paris climate agreement in December. And it won't come cheap.
"If the world is serious about halting the worst effects of global warming, the renewable energy industry will require $12.1 trillion of investment over the next quarter century," according to a new report published in Bloomberg. For perspective on just how much money we're talking about here, consider that gross domestic product in the United States was $17.4 trillion in 2014, according to the World Bank. That's good for number one in the world. But China, which came in at number two, produced $10.4 trillion in GDP. That means an entire year's worth of Chinese economic output wouldn't be enough to cover the low-carbon investments the Bloomberg report says is needed over the next quarter century. So it comes as no surprise that current funding projections are well short of the goal:

The findings from Bloomberg New Energy Finance and Ceres, a Boston-based coalition of investors and environmentalists, show that wind parks, solar farms and other alternatives to fossil fuels are already on course to get $6.9 trillion over the next 25 years through private investment spurred on by government support mechanisms. Another $5.2 trillion is needed to reach the United Nations goal of holding warming to 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) set out in the climate agreement."

And no doubt that gap will be filled via wealth redistribution. Even worse, these numbers aren't as bad as depicted in other studies, such as the International Energy Agency's $16.5 trillion cost estimate. And that's just through 2030. Instead of redistributing trillions of dollars, the better option would be for poorer countries to invest in energy sources we already know save lives — and let the free market figure out the future of energy.

 The Primary Known Unknowns
The results of the Iowa caucuses have shown us several important things. 1) Everybody hates the establishment of both parties. 2) No one trusts the media anymore. 3) Pollsters have no clue how to conduct polling in the fast-paced world of smartphones and social media.
Ted Cruz easily won the Iowa caucuses on the Republican side, despite trailing Donald slump-Trump by as much as 20 points in some polls, and despite the GOP establishment and the ethanol lobby doing their best to take him down. In fact, the establishment's scorn is a huge part of Cruz's appeal. Cruz's net favorability leads all Republican candidates with a rating of +45% (61% favorable, 16% unfavorable) among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, according to a recent Gallup poll. Establishment favorite Jeb Bush has a net favorability of -1%.
The top five vote-getters on the GOP side were all anti-establishment /outsider candidates: Ted Cruz (28%), Donald slump-Trump (24%), Marco Rubio (23%), Ben Carson (9%) and Rand Paul (5%) (though Paul just announced he is ending his campaign). That is an astonishing 89% of votes cast. And before anyone claims that Rubio, among the first Tea Party candidates elected, is now an establishment guy, ask yourself why the  establishment attacks against him are second in intensity only to those waged against Cruz. Rubio has a lifetime American Conservative Union rating of 98 (out of 100). He has a perfect NRA rating. Citizens Against Government Waste gives him a 95, and National Right to Life gives him a 100. Without Rubio's participation in the Gang of Eight fiasco, he would arguably be the undisputed favorite at this point, with heavy support from the conservative grassroots — because he's a genuine conservative.
Now the questions are these: What does this all mean? Is slump-Trump now mortally wounded? Does Cruz have a clear path to the nomination? Is Rubio's rise a growing fire or a shooting star?

Maple Menace Alert: Illinois rules Cruz can run WashEx: “Texas Sen. Ted Cruz secured two major victories Monday, winning the Republican Iowa caucuses and also receiving a favorable decision from the Illinois Board of Elections, which confirmed his U.S. citizenship met the state’s primary ballot requirements. The Illinois news got lost in the caucus coverage, which lagged into Tuesday morning and absorbed much of the media’s attention. The GOP senator has had his presidential bid challenged in recent months by Iowa GOP runner-up Donald slump-Trump, who claimed Cruz's Canadian birthplace disqualifies him from being president.”  -Fox News
Plans For Hidden IT Network To Help
Clinton Skirt Rules Uncovered
{judicialwatch.org} ~ Judicial Watch announced today that it recently received records from the Department of State disclosing plans by senior State Department officials to set up a “stand-alone PC” so that Clinton could  check her emails... in an office “across the hall” through a separate, non-State Department computer network system. Referencing the special Clinton computer system, Under Secretary for Management Patrick F. Kennedy, writes Clinton Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, “The stand-alone separate network PC is a great idea.”  The emails are from January 23-24, 2009, a few days after Clinton was sworn in as Secretary of State. The new emails were obtained by Judicial Watch in response a court order in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for State Department records about Hilly Clinton’s separate email system  (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00689)). In the email chain, Lewis Lukens, former deputy assistant secretary of state and executive director of the secretariat, responds to a request from Mills by informing her, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and Kennedy that the new personal computer “in the secretary’s office” would be “connected to the internet but not through our system.” Abedin responds, “We are hoping for that if possible.”        http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-wat...

House fails to override president's veto
of nObamacare repeal
Erin Kelly
.
.
{usatoday.com} ~ The House on Tuesday failed to override President nObama's veto of a bill that would have repealed key provisions of nObamacare and stripped federal funding from Planned Parenthood... The 241-186 vote to override the veto fell short of the two-thirds needed, ensuring that the Affordable Care Act will remain in place at least through the final year of nObama's term. Republican leaders, who have been criticized by Democrats for failing to come up with an alternative to nObamacare, said they plan to craft a replacement plan this year as a kind of preview for what they hope to do in the next Congress. The vote came just hours after the president met with House Speaker Paul Ryano, R-Wis., and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell, R-Ky., to talk about issues where the White House and Congress might be able to work together. Those issues include criminal justice and mental health reform, the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership, Puerto Rico's financial crisis, the opioid epidemic, the Zika virus and efforts to cure cancer.

Iraqi Journalist Dispels Myth that ISIS
Has No Ties to Islam
.
{investigativeproject.org} ~ Iraqi journalist Fadel Boula challenged the claim that the Islamic State (ISIS) and other jihadi organizations have no relationship to Islam... in an article featured in Iraq's Al-Akhbar newspaper and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). Boula argued that these terrorist organizations follow a radical Salafi ideology and believe their objectives coincide with Allah's will and the core tenets of Islam. "Since its inception, this movement of terror has espoused a Salafi ideology that champions religious extremism, and brainwashed people of all ages have rallied around its flag, people who were trained to kill themselves and kill others in order to attain martyrdom," Boula wrote in the November article, "Does Terror Truly Have No Religion?"

So it begins here: U.S. city 'overrun'

The federal government is working with churches and NGOs to bring foreign refugees, including some from Syria, to small towns in Montana, including Helena and Missoula.
.
{wnd.com} ~ More than 120 people braved the snow and ice Monday to rally in front of the Missoula County Courthouse, protesting an effort by the nObama administration and its army of community organizers to plant foreign “refugees” into small cities in western Montana... One of the speakers was a woman who moved recently to Montana from Amarillo, Texas, which has been inundated with thousands of refugees over the past 15 years. “Amarillo is overrun with refugees,” said Karen Sherman, who stood and spoke to the crowd amid blowing wind and falling snowflakes. Sherman just moved to Missoula, a college town that serves as home to the University of Montana. Sherman said Amarillo, a city of just more than 200,000 people, has gang violence that has surpassed that of much larger Texas cities such as Fort Worth. She fears U.S. cities like Amarillo and Minneapolis, Minnesota, could be in line to become the next Rotherham, England, or Cologne, Germany, or Stockholm, Sweden, where mass rapes by Muslim men have gained much attention in Europe.

Brilliant DHS Plan – Increased Illegal

{constitutionrising.com} ~ The answer to the question is simple, but Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Democrat US Rep Henry Cuellar have to be diplomatic, pretending they don’t know what Homeland “Security” Secretary Jeh Johnson is really up to... They can’t just come out and challenge him as to why he isn’t doing his job and why he is instead weakening our defenses and our borders. That would be seen as impolite, bordering on bullying and maybe even hate speech.  They must be gentle, we’ve had enough tearful crybaby officials with nObama and backstabber-Boehner. But Johnson doesn’t just cry, he’s a whiner too, habitually complaining he needs more funding in order to better not do his job. His decision to cut a request for support from the Department of Defense by 50 percent for Operation Phalanx is a temper tantrum that uses the threat of terrorism as the hammer. Operation Phalanx utilizes DoD resources to provide persistent aerial detection, situational awareness, and monitoring capability along the border. Since the program was fully funded by Congress, the fifty percent cut by Johnson lacks any justification.        http://constitutionrising.com/archives/25572

{westernjournalism.com} ~ Even as FBI continues its investigation into Hilly Clinton’s use an unsecure, private email server to store highly classified material... her presidential candidacy is spurring others to take a closer look at other alleged incidents of wrong-doing from her past. The Fiscal Times reports that one of those incidents happened in the late 1970s, when an investment of the then attorney made nearly a 100-fold increase from trading cattle futures within a matter of several months. “Under the guidance of an attorney representing Tyson Foods, Hilly Clinton made a $98,540 profit from a $1,000 initial investment in less than one year trading commodity futures. Further, “In Hilly Clinton’s case, her $1,000 initial investment was well below the $12,000 deposit required by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for the first trades she executed. So not only did Hilly make an extraordinary profit for a novice investor, she did so without following the rules…,” the Fiscal Times reported.

Hilly Taps Most Corrupt AG in American History

{nicedeb.wordpress.com} ~ The most corrupt AG in American history has agreed to appear in some T.V. spots in South Carolina to endorse the most corrupt presidential candidate in American history - Eric Holder... As I was just saying at PJ Media, there’s been a troubling lack of activity at the DOJ regarding Hilly’s email investigation. Yeah, the Regime is trying to put the fix in, but Comey’s FBI is poised to put a major hitch in their plans. What ever the Regime tries – it ain’t gonna go as smoothly as they like. And I still say Hilly doesn’t make it to the finish line. The Huffington Post notes that in the spots, “Holder specifically mentions Clinton’s push to strengthen gun laws and police accountability.” Keeping police accountable certainly sounds like a crumb included to mollify the #BlackLivesMatter crowd, which has cautiously thrown most of its support to Bernie Sanders. That’s awesome. Good for her. The guy was held in criminal contempt of congress for his failure to turn over documents related to the criminally insane Fast and Furious fiasco that resulted in hundreds of innocent people dead in Mexico, and two dead American law enforcement officers.  https://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2016/02/03/hillary-taps-most-corrupt-...

Mystery Victim Sucked Out At 14,000 Ft

{constitutionrising.com} ~ It’s always a good idea to keep your seat belt fastened while seated in an airplane in case unexpected turbulence is encountered... There’s another reason that it is a good idea, as one passenger on a flight from Mogadishu, Somalia to Djibouti may have learned on Tuesday. That is just on the off chance that someone has planted a bomb in your seat. There are mixed reports of whether or not a passenger was sucked out of the airplane just five minutes into the flight. At that point the “fasten seat belts sign” would have still been lit, the plane was still climbing and had only reached 14,000 feet. Then again, maybe the seat belt was blown up too. The Daily Mail reports that an elderly man, badly burned from the blast, was sucked out of the plane to his death, while the Mirror has a different take on things, reporting that everyone survived.        http://constitutionrising.com/archives/25578

Why This Female Cannot Support
Donald slump-Trump
 Susan Stamper Brown
.
.
{townhall.com} ~ How any female in America could support Donald slump-Trump, the American version of former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, is beyond me.
.
Call me old school, but I have a real problem electing a man to public office who the Washington Post reported has a “Twitter feed and history of public comments” describing women as a “dog,” “fat” and “disgusting.” Even still, some conservatives give him a pass.
.
I know. We’re electing a president, not a pastor. Or at least that’s what we hear from certain evangelical leaders who think it’s okay to endorse a “Biblically-illiterate strip club owner” who trades his wives in for newer models, as Freedom Outpost described in their January 27 column.
.
How about electing a president with principles, that is, assuming principles still matter?
.
Sure, presidents are just people who put their pants on one leg at a time like we do, but am I asking too much to have a president who has a history of keeping his pants on? Conservatives had a lot to say about Bill Clinton’s improprieties when he was in office and they still do. In 1994, the LA Times reported the late evangelist Jerry Falwell, Sr. marketed a video “featuring an assortment of allegations involving President Clinton ranging from sexual misconduct to murder…” My, how far from the tree some have fallen.
.
Boasting about his sexual exploits with married women in his book “The Art of the Comeback,” slump-Trump bragged, “If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller…” slump-Trump’s appeared on the Howard Stern show multiple times discussing his female conquests in a way that might even make Bill Clinton blush. Maybe.
.
It’s odd that prominent evangelicals like Dr. Jerry Falwell, Jr. endorsed a man who once said he couldn’t recall ever seeking God’s forgiveness, saying he just tries “to make it right…I don’t bring God into that picture…” It’s amazing these leaders actually believe an unprincipled man who seems to have no problem breaking marital vows and brags about helping married women break theirs would keep his promise to be a defender of Christianity.
.
slump-Trump’s decision to not participate in the Fox News-Google debate simply because he believes he was treated unfairly by a female is troubling in that it displays how terribly self-involved he is and vindictive toward whomever he perceives as his “enemy.” Narcissism is a huge character flaw conservatives notice in President nObama, but with slump-Trump, not so much. America needs a leader who loves America more than he loves himself.
.
Given the recent evangelical Christian endorsements, it’s starting to get lonely out there as a believer, but I cannot in good conscience endorse slump-Trump – even if I am the last Christian standing. Yes, I will vote, because that’s my duty as an American. But I cannot endorse a man who spent his lifetime supporting progressives and espousing just about everything I don’t believe, while simultaneously gaming the political system to pad his wallet. I also have grave concerns about his mean-spirited, uncontrolled speech and relentless flip-flopping.
.
Of course, no candidate is perfect. But some are less flawed than others. Let us remember that “earthly” kings and presidents will always fall short. The longing we have inside for justice and righteousness will never be satisfied by looking at another human. So look up. Seek truth and don’t allow anger to overcome reason or common sense.
.
Even as distasteful as a slump-Trump Presidency is for me to consider, I am reminded that Jesus, who was known as a friend of sinners, would seek an audience with Donald slump-Trump to remind him that there is a reason why it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than a rich man to find peace with God. If slump-Trump found that peace, he might be unstoppable.

ALERT ALERT

Joe Biden Vows: Give Taxpayer-Funded Obamacare To All Illegal Aliens In U.S.

Former Vice President and 2020 Democrat presidential primary candidate Joe Biden is vowing to give Obamacare, funded by American taxpayers, to all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States.

During an interview with Telemundo’s Jose Diaz-Balart, Biden forgot that Obamacare technically bans illegal aliens from enrolling in healthcare plans — although illegal aliens are still able to obtain subsidized and free healthcare at Americans’ expense — and promised that under his plan, all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens would be able to get Obamacare.

The exchange went as follows:

DIAZ-BALART: When I … NBC moderated that first debate with you, I didn’t … I don’t recall a clear answer, under your plan should … would the 11, 12 million undocumented immigrants that live in the United States, that have been here many for generations, would they have access …

BIDEN: Yes.

DIAZ-BALART: — to health insurance.

BIDEN: Yes, they … if they can buy into the system like everybody else.

DIAZ-BALART: Because you know, in [Obamacare] they can’t.

BIDEN: Yeah. Yeah, I know. Well they can, that’s my point. They continue to be able to do that.

DIAN-BALART: They cannot under the ObamaCare.

BIDEN: Well and that’s my point, they will though. They will be able to buy into … [illegal aliens] would be able to buy in, just like anyone else could.

Biden joins Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg — among other 2020 Democrats — in committing to forcing American taxpayers to pay for healthcare for illegal aliens who arrive in the U.S.

Already, due to loopholes, American taxpayers are spending nearly $20 billion every year to provide illegal aliens with subsidized healthcare, emergency room visits, and other health services.

Under the 2020 Democrats’ plan to provide taxpayer-funded healthcare to all illegal aliens living in the U.S., Americans would be billed potentially $660 billion every decade just to cover the costs. Other research has found that the plan would cost Americans at least $23 billion every year.

As Breitbart News has reported, experts have said that giving taxpayer-funded healthcare to effectively all foreign nationals who can make it to America’s borders would drive “strong incentives for people with serious health problems to enter the country or remain longer than their visas allow in order to get government-funded care.”

Despite 2020 Democrats’ continued push for taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal aliens, American voters are overwhelmingly opposed to the plan. The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey revealed that the healthcare-for-illegal-aliens plan is the least popular policy position, with opposition from 62 percent of U.S. voters.

Similarly, a CNN poll from July discovered that 63 percent of likely swing voters oppose providing healthcare to illegal aliens, along with nearly 6-in-10 of all likely U.S. voters and 61 percent of moderates. A Rasmussen Reports survey also found that likely voters, by a majority of 55 percent, oppose giving healthcare to even the most low-income illegal aliens.
