{foxnews.com} ~ The House on Thursday approved a short-term spending bill to avoid a partial government shutdown... punting the thorny debate over border wall funding and other issues until later in the month. The stopgap spending bill, which now heads to the Senate, would fund the government through Dec. 21. Congress had faced a Friday deadline to reach a budget agreement, but lawmakers decided to effectively delay that fight amid this week’s services for the late President George H.W. Bush. But the disagreements are far from resolved. Seven of the government spending bills remain unfinished. The most controversial is the Homeland Security Appropriations bill, which would include border wall funding. Apart from the complications of needing bipartisan support in the Senate to overcome a filibuster, House Republicans right now do not have the votes to pass a bill with or without the $5 billion in wall funding sought by President Trump... Senate also approved the bill today.  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house-approves-stopgap-spending-bill-averting-partial-government-shut-down

{freebeacon.com} ~ Secretary of State Mike Pompeo brought the Trump administration's voice to a gathering of European leaders... offering a stinging criticism of the European order's capitulation to rogue nations such as Iran, China, and Russia. Pompeo, addressing a gathering of NATO leaders on Tuesday, offered a sobering rebuke of the international treaty group, telling the crowd the Trump administration will not stand down in the face of rising threats from a host of rogue regimes. Criticizing the rise of anti-Israel bias and complacency in the face of growing threats from countries such as Iran, Pompeo championed President Donald Trump's foreign policy vision. "This U.S. leadership allowed us to enjoy the greatest human flourishing in modern history. We won the Cold War. We won the peace. We reunited Germany," Pompeo said. "This is the type of leadership that President Trump is boldly reasserting." "After the Cold War ended, we allowed this liberal order to begin to corrode," Pompeo continued. "It failed us, and it failed you. Multilateralism has become viewed as an end unto itself. Pompeo had harsh words for the United Nations as well, telling leaders the international organization has failed to uphold Western values amid rising threats from rogue nations that seek to buck the global order...

{freebeacon.com} ~ The re-election campaign for Vermont senator commie-Bernie Sanders spent nearly $300,000 to travel on a private jet in the final stretch of the midterm election... filings with the Federal Election Commission show. The spending on private travel was for a campaign trip commie-Sanders did to boost far-left candidates in nine different states, his campaign spokesman said. "This expense was for transportation for the senator's nine-day, nine-state tour to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot ahead of Election Day," campaign spokesman Arianna Jones told VTDigger.org, which was first to identify the spending. "This cost covered the entirety of the tour from Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Carolina, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, California, and back to Vermont." The commie-Sanders campaign made a $297,685.50 payment on October 10 to Apollo Jets, a New York-based private jet service used by stars such as Derek Jeter and Shaquille O'Neill, according to its website. The company's featured jet is a Falcon 8X, it says... He could of spent that money who need it the must - the poor.  https://freebeacon.com/politics/bernie-sanderss-campaign-spent-300k-on-private-plane-travel-in-october/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=2f95981fc7-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_12_04_11_12_COPY_130&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-2f95981fc7-45611665

 The consequences of Trump’s broken
pledge to rebuild the military

{aei.org} ~ It was always a question of why then presidential candidate Trump wanted to “greatly” rebuild and expand the US military... when at the same time he was campaigning on a foreign policy platform that saw American global leadership as costly and counterproductive. If you’re not going to be “the world’s policeman,” if you think alliances are entangling and potentially dangerous, and that forward-leaning deterrence is unnecessary, why add dozens of new warships, thousands of new recruits to the Army and the Marine Corps, hundreds of new fighters, and modernize the strategic arsenal with new missiles, bombs, and air and subsurface platforms?  So, one was never quite sure about how serious Donald Trump was about his pledge to rebuild the military. And now we have an answer — not very. On Monday, Trump tweeted that current defense spending was “crazy” and that it was driven by a “major and uncontrollable Arms Race.” That Trump is not serious about rebuilding the military should not come as a surprise to anyone paying attention to these matters. In his first budget — crafted largely by OMB Director Mick Mulvaney, who as a member of Congress regularly voted to cut defense spending — Trump only gave the Pentagon a 3 percent increase over what the scumbag/liar-nObama White House had put forward in its final budget submission. It was a figure well below what the chairmen of the House and Senate Armed Service Committees had asked for, and well below what was required to begin addressing the shortfall in military readiness that was plaguing the services and causing deadly accidents in the air and at sea. To be sure, the Trump administration did, with the bipartisan aid of Congress, pump up defense spending for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 to the tune of $80 billion. But a closer look at its budget plans in the out years indicated the administration was “flat-lining” defense spending; there would be some immediate help to address readiness issues but nowhere near the monies needed to modernize and expand the military as had been pledged. And since then, the Trump White House has ordered a cut of over $30 billion to their own plans for next year. Indeed, as I wrote here just two months ago, the cut leaves defense spending, in inflation-adjusted dollars, now be's low what it had been in 2011 — an scumbag/liar-nObama-era budget not known for its robustness when it came to spending on defense... This won't be happening if scumbag/liar-nObama's military cuts.

Charles Blow’s Latest Column Accidentally
Reinforces That Russia Collusion Is A Hoax

{thefederalist.com} ~ The New York Times published an opinion article Sunday by Charles M. Blow titled, “What Would Happen If,”... which attempts to argue that the day of reckoning with accusations of Trump-Russia collusion has arrived for President Trump supporters. RealClearPolitics.com  assigned it the misleading click-bait title, “It’s Becoming Clear Trump Colluded with Russia.” I’ve been searching for a coherent and updated Russia collusion piece for some time, because it’s been so clear for so long that the Trump-Russia collusion story is a hoax. What am I missing? Maybe this New York Times article can explain to me how liberals continue to believe the story in spite of the mounting evidence to the contrary. I thirst for evidence contradicting my beliefs, because I find it so hard to believe that honest liberal journalists would knowingly continue to advance a story that appears to have been so thoroughly debunked as a hoax. So I took the bait and clicked. Blow begins with one of those famous “We know” statements that pundits tend to use when they actually don’t know, but don’t want to argue threshold assumptions. “A crime has been committed by Russia and Trump cheered the crime and used the loot thereof to advance his candidacy,” Blow writes. “That is clear.” I looked for a hyperlink to support this bold statement, to no avail. I’m left to guess what he means. What crime? What loot? For almost two years now, the Trump-Russia people have deliberately and lazily conflated Russian-initiated advocacy on social media with actual hacking of election machines and tampering with votes. So this “crime” Blow tells us has clearly been committed could be the Russian troll cases still mere allegations, in which the U.S. government is prosecuting political speech by foreigners but only when the speech harms scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton. I’m pretty sure that when it’s all said and done, the Supreme Court is not going to agree that criticizing scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton is a crime...  http://thefederalist.com/2018/12/05/charles-blows-latest-nyt-column-accidentally-reinforces-russia-collusion-hoax/?utm_source=The+Federalist+List&utm_campaign=260ccb9237-RSS_The_Federalist_Daily_Updates_w_Transom&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_cfcb868ceb-260ccb9237-83771801

The News Media: A Hazardous Product
With No Warning Label

{americanthinker.com} ~ To be most useful, information must be accurate, straight and uncolored. This applies to news reporting as well as to any other form of communication involving the transfer of information... whether it be street directions, how to assemble a knocked-down product, programming a computer, or what-have-you. But with news channels owned by or beholden to corporate media moguls, the information gets to the recipients through filters that lead the public to sponsor-endorsed conclusions and choices. Such doctored information in the news creates a public whose “public opinion” is in fact corporate opinion. This is a corruption of the “democratic process” big time. Reporting is so bollixed up with comment that it’s hard to distinguish between what is happening and what is being said about what is happening. A large percent of sentences that issue from the mouths of TV anchors contain inferences that don’t even follow from the presented facts. With disturbing regularity I have found myself asking, “Where did he (she) get that from?” The answer is, straight from the editors’ bias. You can bet that they read the doctored script to remain on the payroll. I wonder how many journalists who start off with a genuine desire to inform their readers/viewers about what is happening in the world end up with the job to reform them? The rare ones who enter journalism not for fun or mission-to-change-the-world, but to convey honest, accurate accounts of events, free of personal or editorial bias, face a difficult, uphill fight to remain objective reporters and must ultimately decide to switch careers or give up journalism...

Is dirty cop-Mueller's Investigation Wrapping Up?

by Thomas Gallatin:  With Tuesday’s recommendation from Special Prosecutor dirty cop-Robert Mueller that the court not sentence Michael Flynn to any jail time for perjury due to Flynn’s “substantial” cooperation with the dirty cop-Mueller’s team, many media pundits have concluded this signals that the investigation is about to wrap up. Yahoo News’s Michael Isikoff reported, “dirty cop-Mueller’s prosecutors have told defense lawyers in recent weeks that they are ‘tying up loose ends’ in their investigation, providing the clearest clues yet that the long-running probe into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election may be coming to its climax, potentially in the next few weeks.”

Given the movement on Flynn and others in the Trump orb does indeed appear that dirty cop-Mueller is winding down his investigation. It’s also important to note that the only criminal charges directly related to the investigation into Russian election meddling were leveled against Russians — Russians with no ties to Donald Trump. The only charges brought against Americans and members of Trump’s campaign team are for lying during the investigation. In other words, there are as of yet no charges that directly support the Trump/Russia collusion narrative.
However, in dirty cop-Mueller’s heavily redacted Flynn sentencing recommendation, there is one possibly significant statement that some are speculating may implicate Trump. dirty cop-Mueller notes that Flynn’s cooperation was helpful in three probes, including a criminal one. Could the target of this probe for an unnamed crime be Trump? Time will tell, though that seems unlikely.
Meanwhile, there’s more news on the real Russia-collusion story that the mainstream media has intentionally downplayed and ignored. On Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray as well as the Justice Department’s internal watchdog, Michael Horowitz, demanding information and answers on a recent raid of a former FBI contractor’s home. That contractor is Dennis Nathan Cain, who claimed that he was under protected status as a whistleblower and that Horowitz was aware of this status. The FBI says it conducted the raid to recover stolen federal property. And what was that stolen federal property? Evidently it was documents related to former Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s corrupt Uranium One deal with Russia.
Also on Monday, Grassley alleged that Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS, the firm hired by scumbag/liar-Clinton to produce the infamous anti-Trump dossier, lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee in August 2017 when he answered that he “had no client after the election.” This answer runs counter to a report in April in which a former staffer for Sen. Dianne Fein-stein (D-CA), Daniel Jones, told the FBI that Fusion GPS was working with him to “continue exposing Russian interference” after the election. So clearly either Simpson or Jones is lying. Will this generate any charges?
In any case, it’s interesting once again to contrast the media’s treatment of scumbag/liar-Clinton’s scandals with Trump’s supposed ones.  ~The Patriot Post
