{.breitbart.com} ~ U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts offered rare public criticism of the President of the United States on Wednesday... when he pushed back against President Trump’s claim Tuesday that an “scumbag/liar-nObama judge” had blocked his effort to deny asylum to those entering the country illegally. But as outgoing Senate Judiciary Committee chair Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) later noted, Roberts was silent when President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama attacked the Court during the State of the Union address in 2010: Likewise, Roberts said nothing when scumbag/liar-nObama bullied the Supreme Court on numerous occasions — and even appeared to yield to scumbag/liar-nObama’s pressure. In 2010, President scumbag/liar-nObama used his first State of the Union address to denounce the Court’s January 2010 ruling in the Citizens United case, which struck down restrictions on corporate political speech under the First Amendment. With six of the nine justices sitting silently in the House of Representatives, scumbag/liar-nObama told the nation their ruling “will open the floodgates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections.”...  https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2018/11/21/chuck-grassley-to-chief-justice-john-roberts-you-rebuked-trump-but-sat-silent-through-obamas-abuse/

{dailycaller.com} ~ President Donald Trump defended his criticism of a federal judge who barred enforcement of his new asylum rules Wednesday... after Chief Justice John Roberts issued a statement rebuking the president’s broadsides. In a pair of afternoon tweets from his Mar-a-Lago retreat in Florida, Trump said that a series of rulings that stalled his immigration agenda have jeopardized the security of the nation. Trump’s latest censure arose Tuesday when U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar stayed the administration’s new asylum rules, which in effect forbade illegal aliens from receiving asylum. Former President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama appointed Tigar to the bench. “This was an scumbag/liar-nObama judge,” Trump told reporters. “And I’ll tell you what, it’s not going to happen like this anymore.” The chief justice issued a rare public statement in response defending the courts, which was all the more remarkable in that sitting justices seldom comment on the news of the day. “We do not have scumbag/liar-nObama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or scumbag/liar-Clinton judges,” Roberts told The Associated Press. “What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them. That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.”...  https://dailycaller.com/2018/11/21/donald-trump-john-roberts-judges/?utm_medium=email

{dailycaller.com} ~ Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich told reporters Monday that he will veto both a bill banning abortion... in the presence of an unborn baby’s heartbeat as well as a bill eliminating the duty to retreat before using deadly force. Kasich told reporters that he still opposes both the “heartbeat bill” abortion ban and the “stand your ground” gun rights legislation, and will veto both measures if they reach his desk, The Columbus Dispatch reported Tuesday. The Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 258, also called the heartbeat bill, in a 58-35 vote on Nov. 15,  according to Cleveland.com. The bill bans abortion upon the presence of a baby’s heartbeat and makes exceptions only in cases where the mother’s life is in danger. No exceptions for rape, incest or baby abnormalities are included in the bill. A heartbeat typically becomes detectable between six and nine weeks gestation. The heartbeat bill is commonly known as the 6-week abortion ban...

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ An independent federal agency is looking into donations made earlier this year to acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker's 2014 Senate campaign... according to a new report. Such contributions might violate the Hatch Act, which limits the ways federal government employees can engage in political activity. CNN reported that four contributors donated a total of $8,800 to Whitaker's Senate campaign committee in January and February, while Whitaker was chief of staff at the Department of Justice. The campaign committee still owes nearly $50,000 to Whitaker himself from his unsuccessful attempt at one of Iowa's Senate seats. Nonprofit watchdog organization American Oversight announced Wednesday it had submitted complaints related to Whitaker's financial disclosure forms to the Office of Special Counsel, alleging potential violations of the Hatch Act and to the Office of Government Ethics and the Department of Justice’s Ethics Office, alleging a failure to disclose. The organization states the contributions were the first activity by Whitaker's campaign in several years. A spokesperson for the Office of Special Counsel confirmed to CNN the office had received the complaint and said a case file has been opened. Neither the Justice Department nor Whitaker commented to the network.

Palestinians: We Cannot Accept
Anything from Trump

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Hardly a day passes without the leadership of the Palestinian Authority (PA) affirming its strong opposition to US President Donald Trump's... yet-to-be-announced Middle East peace plan, also referred to as the "deal of the century." Palestinian leaders have convinced their people that Trump is the worst person on the face of the earth and that no one should be doing business with him. The Palestinian Authority is not the only Palestinian party that continues to voice its opposition to the upcoming peace plan. No Palestinian group or individual has come out in favor the plan, although no one in the Middle East seems to have seen it or knows anything about its details. Trump has united the Palestinians in a way that no Palestinian or Arab has been able to do since the beginning of the Hamas-Fatah war 11 years ago. The Palestinians are united in their opposition to the Trump administration and its policies, especially in the aftermath of the US president's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and relocate the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, as well as its decision to cut US funding to the Palestinian Authority for paying terrorists and to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The Palestinians have already determined that the US peace plan is "biased" in favor of Israel, and that is why, they say, they cannot accept it. The Palestinian Authority and its rivals in Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian factions appear to disagree on everything except their hostility to Trump and his administration. They all refer to the "deal of the century" as a "conspiracy aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and rights."...

A Pause in Gratitude and Thanksgiving

It's a time to reflect upon how blessed we really are — beyond what we deserve.

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations." —Psalm 100:4-5

Fellow Patriots, sometimes the din of contentious media chatter and political rancor can drown out all that is good and right about our great nation.

Please pause with us this Thanksgiving to reflect upon how blessed we really are — blessed far beyond any measure of what we deserve.

To put our national Day of Thanksgiving into proper context is to express gratitude. In the words of George Washington from his First Thanksgiving Proclamation, "I do recommend and assign [this Thanksgiving Day] to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be."

With this in mind, I invite you to read our brief "History and Legacy of Our National Thanksgiving."

In his first Thanksgiving proclamation, President Ronald Reagan wrote: "As we celebrate Thanksgiving ... we should ask what we can do as individuals to demonstrate our gratitude to God for all He has done. Such reflection can only add to the significance of this precious day of remembrance. Let us recommit ourselves to that devotion to God and family that has played such an important role in making this a great Nation, and which will be needed as a source of strength if we are to remain a great people."

Indeed.

Contemplate what is good and right: "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things." (Philippians 4:8)

Patriots, I humbly thank you for the privilege of serving as editor and publisher of The Patriot Post. On behalf of your Patriot team and our National Advisory Committee, I wish you a peaceful Thanksgiving, and God's blessings upon you and your family.

Please join us in daily prayer for our Patriots in uniform — Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen — standing in harm's way in defense of Liberty — and for their families.
