Federal Judge Rules Against Trump on Sanctuary Cities
{} ~ Supporters and critics of President Donald Trump can agree on one thing at least... He has had a roller coaster of a first term as president. Trump has had several big wins for his administration, with healthier economic policies and yet another Supreme Court justice being chief among them. Unfortunately, Trump has also faced his fair share of hardships as president. It’s been a never-ending struggle to get his border wall funded. And Trump’s immigration policies have been fought tooth and nail at every turn. One of Trump’s biggest headaches has been in his dealings with sanctuary cities. After a federal judge’s ruling regarding California sanctuary cities, that headache could turn into a migraine for Trump. According to Reuters, District Judge William Orrick in San Francisco ruled that the Trump administration cannot place conditions on public safety grants, known as the Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, and also ordered grant money to be released to California sanctuary cities...
CBS News Anchor Gets Testy With McConnell,
Cites False Stat About Supreme Court Appointments
by Randy DeSoto
{} ~ CBS News’ John Dickerson peppered Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Sunday’s “Face the Nation”... over the senator’s decision not to consider scumbag/liar-nObama Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland and made a false claim, twice, about precedent concerning presidential election year appointments. “In the history of partisanship on the Supreme Court, your decision to block Merrick Garland in 2016 is something dummycrats-Democrats see as having kicked off a new stage in the partisanship associated with the Supreme Court nominees,” Dickerson said. If it was supposed to be a baited question, McConnell didn’t take it.“Yeah, they don’t know much history,” McConnell replied. “You have to go all the way back to 1880 to find the last time a Senate controlled by a different party from the president confirmed a Supreme Court justice to a vacancy created in the middle of a presidential election.” The Kentucky Republican continued: “They’ve also conveniently forgotten that loose lips-Joe Biden said in 1992, when he was chairman of the Judiciary Committee, the dummycrats-Democrats control the Senate, Republican in the White House. If a vacancy occurred they wouldn’t fill it. “They also conveniently forgot that Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer and Harry dinky-Reid, 18 months before the end of Bush 43, said if a Supreme Court vacancy occurred they wouldn’t fill it,” McConnell said...
Lindsey Graham Issues a BRILLIANT
Challenge to dummycrats-Democrats
by Andrew
{} ~ In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Sen. Lindsey  Graham issued a challenge to Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer that was nothing short of genius... Frankly, this should have been Talking Point #1 from the Republicans the minute the other side started challenging Brett Kavanaugh like there was no tomorrow. Because this is the ultimate, “shut up and sit down” card. “This is a list that was complied in November, but Trump actually put it out during the campaign,” Graham  said, pulling out the famous list of conservative judges from which then-candidate Trump promised to select his Supreme Court nominees. “There are twenty-something people on this list; I’m asking Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer, name five, name three, name one that would be okay with you.” That’s a mic-drop moment right there, and it makes us love Graham all the more. We weren’t sure about this dude back when he was tearing down Trump and Ted Cruz during the 2016 primaries, but he has gotten his second wind over the last year or so. He had the best single moment of the entire confirmation hearings, and this challenge to scumbag/clown-Schumer is the perfect illustration of what ALL of this Kavanaugh hysteria was really about. It wasn’t about some unsubstantiated sexual assault allegations from high school; it was about doing anything and everything to prevent a conservative majority from taking over the Supreme Court...
'The centrist dummycrats-Democratic Party is dead'
by Katelyn Caralle
{} ~ President Trump declared Wednesday that the dummycrats-Democratic Party is no longer a centrist party... and instead is one that is being pulled toward radical socialism. “The truth is that the centrist dummycrats-Democratic Party is dead,” Trump said in a rare opinion piece published in USA Today Wednesday morning. “The new dummycrats-Democrats are radical socialists who want to model America’s economy after Venezuela.” “If dummycrats-Democrats win control of Congress this November, we will come dangerously closer to socialism in America,” Trump said, adding that socialism would bring “suffering, misery, and decay" just as it has in Venezuela. Trump argued that dummycrats-Democrat’s plan for government-run healthcare would be detrimental to senior citizens. Older voters are more likely to support Trump than millennials and younger generations. Older Americans are also more likely to turn out to vote than younger people...
Justice Department approves $69 billion CVS-Aetna merger
by Robert King
{} ~ The Justice Department has approved a mega-merger between CVS pharmacy chain and insurance giant Aetna... but the companies have to divest their prescription drug business on Medicare to complete the transaction. The department announced the decision on Wednesday. Previously, a major concern on the part of the Justice Department was how the merger will affect competition in Medicare Part D, the program’s prescription drug plan. Both CVS and Aetna are major competitors on the sale of Part D plans to Medicare beneficiaries. But those concerns appear to have been abated after Aetna agreed to divest its Medicare Part D business. “Today’s settlement resolves competition concerns posed by this transaction and preserves competition in the sale of Medicare Part D prescription drug plans for individuals,” said Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, in a statement. The Justice Department had worried that the merger would lead to increased prices in the 22 states where Aetna offered Medicare Part D plans...
Trump Should Kill Handouts to King Corn, Not Expand Them
by Louis DeBroux:  President Donald Trump is one of the rarest of all creatures — a politician who keeps his promises.

Sick of politicians making grandiose campaign promises, only to discard them after the election, the American people shocked the world by electing a billionaire businessman and political novice in Trump, hoping that he, not beholden to special interests, would battle entrenched politicians and bureaucrats who wield enormous power in the dummycrats-DC swamp.
Trump, from a conservative perspective, has excelled beyond all expectations, slashing massive amounts of economy-crushing regulatory red tape, opening the throttle on American energy production, creating a pro-growth economic environment, pulling us out of or reworking bad trade deals, and making American sovereignty and prosperity the yardstick by which policies are measured.
Unfortunately, not every promise kept is a good thing, as evidenced by reports this week that Trump is giving a sop to the ethanol/corn industry, issuing a waiver for summer restrictions on E15 (15% ethanol/gas blend) fuel, paving the way for year-round use.
This move is entirely political. In fact, after the announcement, Trump held a MAGA rally in Iowa, and that was no coincidence. Between helping Iowa Republicans in the election and heartland farmers hurt by Trump’s own tariffs, the political ramifications are significant, so this decision is, sadly, hardly surprising. For the American people, however, the benefits of expanding this boondoggle are dubious at best.
Last year, when former EPA Director Scott Pruitt announced rollbacks to the ethanol mandate, the response was swift and forceful. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued a not-so-veiled threat to President Trump that the move would have consequences; namely, seeing his judicial nominees move through Grassley’s committee at the speed of molasses. Trump got the message, and the changes were put on hold.
Grassley however, has held up his end of the unspoken  deal, deftly ushering Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, through a vicious confirmation process that made the dummycrats-Democrats’ reprehensible “high-tech lynching” of Justice Clarence Thomas seem downright neighborly by comparison.
Additionally, this ethanol decision may be the help needed to get Iowa’s Republican governor, currently trailing her dummycrats-Democrat opponent in the polls, and at least two at-risk Iowa House members, over the finish line to victory. These wins would be critical when many are predicting a  dummycrats-Democrat takeover of the House and Senate.
As for the ethanol change itself, it’s unlikely that it will take immediate effect. A lawsuit is planned that challenges the legality of the waiver. Additionally, a bipartisan letter from 20 members of Congress from oil-producing states went to President Trump last week, opposing the measure, arguing it would do nothing to protect refinery jobs and would actually harm American consumers. And they are right.
The ethanol mandate his been a huge victory for Midwestern agricultural states, which are essentially guaranteed a buyer for every ear of corn they can grow, and then some.
Unfortunately, from a scientific and environmental standpoint, the mandate is a disaster. Ethanol harms gasoline engines, eating through seals, gumming up fuel systems, damaging tanks, and introducing stray moisture into the system. This leads to thousands of dollars of unnecessary repairs for consumers.
Ethanol is 33% less energy dense than gasoline — meaning you have to burn 33% more ethanol to travel the same distance — and ethanol is dirtier than gasoline, generating significantly more formaldehyde, creating twice as much ozone smog.
Investor’s Business Daily asks, “Do people want ethanol in their gasoline so badly they’re willing to pay extra for something that cuts their fuel efficiency by anywhere from 5% to 7% per mile?
Then there is the destruction to the environment caused by clearing millions of acres of land for corn production. In the year 2000, only 5% of America’s corn crop went to ethanol production. By 2013, that had skyrocketed to 40%. To envision what a boondoggle the ethanol mandate is, consider that the amount of corn required to fill a truck’s 26-gallon gas tank would feed a person for an entire year!
A 2009 Duke University study found that growing corn for fuel production actually produces more CO2 than it saves. The Associated Press, in an in-depth investigation of the “green” energy industry entitled “The Secret, Dirty Cost of scumbag/liar-nObama’s Green Power Push,” concluded:
The ethanol era has proven far more damaging to the environment than politicians promised and much worse than the government admits today. As farmers rushed to find new places to plant corn, they wiped out millions of acres of conservation land, destroyed habitat and polluted water supplies.
Five million acres of land set aside for conservation — more than Yellowstone, Everglades and Yosemite National Parks combined — have vanished on scumbag/liar-nObama’s watch. Landowners filled in wetlands. They plowed into pristine prairies, releasing carbon dioxide that had been locked in the soil. Sprayers pumped out billions of pounds of fertilizer, some of which seeped into drinking water, contaminated rivers and worsened the huge dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico where marine life can’t survive. The consequences are so severe that environmentalists and many scientists have now rejected corn-based ethanol as bad environmental policy. But the scumbag/liar-nObama administration stands by it, highlighting its benefits to the farming industry rather than any negative impact.
President Trump has done much right since taking office, but this is a decision he needs to reconsider.
It’s also an area where bipartisan agreement — between limited-government, free-market advocates on one side, and environmentalists on the other — could be found and, who knows, maybe even generate enough goodwill to find common ground on other issues.
King Corn has ruled politics long enough. It’s time for a coup.

1 Billion Dollar Net Worth!!! Oberlin College Claims Poverty To Avoid Paying Punitive Damages To Gibson’s Bakery

Although IRS reports show the university is worth around $1 billion, Oberlin College still claimed poverty to avoid paying punitive damages to Gibson’s Bakery.

As Breitbart News reported this week, the far-left Oberlin College lost a defamation case filed by Gibson’s Bakery after a local jury found the university liable for falsely accusing the family bakery of racism.

The jury ordered Oberlin on Friday to pay Gibson’s $11.2 million in compensatory damages for defamation and intentional interference with a business.

Legal Insurrection reported on Thursday that “the jury awarded a total of $33 million in punitive damages, which will probably be reduced by the court to $22 million because of the state law cap at twice compensatory.”

Legal Insurrection has been following the case for two years — since the beginning — and reports that the school’s only defense against a sizable punitive award is to pretend it is poor, despite holding assets that amount to a billion — with a “b” — dollars and despite paying some of its staffers more than a half-million dollars a year:

Oberlin College was so hellbent on getting the message out that their cash liquidity was in such dire straits — as the eight-person jury was figuring out if they wish to add $22.4 million to the school’s legal verdict bill — that they brought out the school’s president, Carmen Twillie Ambar to the stand to tell that part the story.

“We’ve created deficits … and over the next ten years, if this continues, that is unsustainable and we will not exist,” Ambar told the jury. She even indicated the school’s grants — about $60 million a year from the school, and lots of students get those scholarships as only 10% of them pay the full $70,000 a year — were important to preserve as “the accessibility of education” was a key component of the school’s purpose.

The college has more than $1 billion in funds and net assets according to the latest IRS 990 form, an endowment fund that had grown from $440 million to $887 million in the last 20 years, and because of its non-profit status, pays no taxes on any property it owns.

It also had 18 members of their administration making more than $100,00 a year. The president and chief financial officer of the school were both making more than $500,000 a year.

Grifters gonna grift…

The day after Donald Trump won the presidency, this nutball school apparently decided to take out its impotent woke-rage on this poor bakery, which has been part of the Oberlin community for more than a century.

It all started when three Oberlin students (who would later plead guilty in a plea deal) attempted to steal bottles of wine.

The proprietors caught the students and, while attempting to hold them until police arrived, were allegedly roughed up by the shoplifters. But because the students are black and the proprietors white — and with no respect for due process or facts — Oberlin staffers and students decided some vigilantism was in order and did everything in their considerable power to destroy this local bakery forever, to smite it off the map.

Classes were canceled so hundreds of students could protest in front of the small store while enjoying free food and drink, courtesy of the school. School staffers handed out fliers that basically described the family-owned bakery as the local branch of the KKK.

As a result, the bakery had to lay off almost all of its employees and barely avoided bankruptcy.

In the end, the three shoplifters said race had nothing to do with what happened.

For those of you interested in incurring $200,000 in debt before you even enter the workforce, it looks as though you can major in Mob Justice at Oberlin.
