'We are not going to do that'

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Wednesday that the Republican-led Senate would not take up any legislation... aimed at protecting special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller from being fired by President Trump. “We are not going to do that,” McConnell said when asked if the Senate would move on the bill. Sens. rino-Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., and Chris Coons, D-Del., plan to ask for unanimous consent late Wednesday to bring up such a bill, but their parliamentary tactic faces little chance of moving forward because a GOP lawmaker will move to block it. Without unanimous consent, the bill can only reach the floor if it's scheduled by McConnell, who won't do it. McConnell said he believes Trump has no intention of firing dirty cop-Mueller, despite his opposition to the probe, which the president has labeled a "witch hunt." He added that he has not changed his view of the matter now that Trump has replaced Attorney General Jeff Sessions with Sessions’ chief of staff, Matt Whitaker. “As you can imagine, I talk to the president fairly often,” McConnell told reporters. “He’s given no indication the dirty cop-Mueller investigation will not be allowed to finish.” McConnell added, “We know how the president feels about the dkirty cop-Mueller investigation, but he’s never said he wants to shut it down."...

{foxnews.com} ~ Former Infowars editor and Roger Stone associate, Jerome Corsi, says he expects to be indicted by Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller soon... “I fully anticipate that in the next few days I will be indicted by dirty cop-Mueller for some form or other of giving false information to the special counsel or to one of the other grand jury — or however they want to do the indictment. But I’m going to be criminally charged,” he said in his livestream on Monday. Corsi revealed he received a subpoena from two FBI agents in August and believes he will “die in prison” because of a “perjury trap” and said he was interrogated by investigators with a massive binder full of information and was quizzed about specific topics for months. Corsi claims he turned over two computers and gave the FBI access to his emails and tweets, believing he had done everything he could to cooperate with them. “Criminals are running the Department of Justice. My crime was that I dared to support Donald Trump,” he said. Last week, political consultant and Trump supporter Roger Stone claimed that dirty cop-Mueller is probing whether or not he directed Wikileaks to release hacked DNC emails. “I did not — and there is no evidence to the contrary,” he wrote. “In fact, Wikileaks publisher Julian Assange announced his release schedule on Oct. 2.”...

{timesofisrael.com} ~ Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman announced Wednesday that he would be resigning as defense minister... and called for the government to be dismantled and for new elections to be set. “I am here to announce my resignation from the government,” he said at a hastily organized press conference at the Knesset after a Yisrael Beytenu party meeting, during which he told MKs of his decision. Liberman said his decision came in light of the ceasefire reportedly agreed on Tuesday between Israel and Palestinian terror groups in Gaza following an unprecedentedly fierce two-day barrage of over 400 rockets fired by Hamas and other terror groups toward Israel. A day earlier, Liberman and other ministers severely criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the decision...  https://www.timesofisrael.com/defense-minister-liberman-resigns-says-israel-capitulated-to-terror-in-gaza/?utm_source=The+Daily+Edition&utm_campaign=daily-edition-2018-11-14&utm_medium=email

{foxnews.com} ~ The Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion Wednesday supporting President Trump’s appointment of Matt Whitaker as acting attorney general... despite criticism from Democrats who have questioned his qualifications to oversee the Russia investigation. In its opinion, the Office of Legal Counsel said that the president’s appointment of Whitaker to replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions was consistent with the Federal Vacancies Reform Act (VRA) of 1998. “This Office previously had advised that the President could designate a senior Department of Justice Official, such as Mr. Whitaker as Acting Attorney General,” the OLC said, noting that Whitaker has been serving at the Justice Department “at a sufficiently senior pay level for over a year.” But a senior Justice Department official said this week that when reviewing Whitaker’s appointment, the OLC had to research back to 1866 to find a similar instance where a non-Senate confirmed individual sat as acting attorney general. The Justice Department wasn’t created until 1870, though an attorney general existed prior to that. The official told Fox News that the issue was “constitutionality” of the appointment...
Everyone Is Wrong About The Jim Acosta, White House Battle

{thefederalist.com} ~ Jim Acosta is a pundit who works for CNN. He was credentialed to attend White House press briefings... which he routinely used as opportunities to share his personal political views and animosity toward President Donald Trump. The situation with Acosta, who is known as a shameless grandstander who seeks personal attention rather than a journalist who seeks to cover the news, came to a head last week when he repeatedly violated decorum at the White House by offering personal opinions in the place of actual questions, fighting with the president, interrupting the president, and belligerently refusing to return the White House microphone to a staff member. The White House pulled his hard pass that gives him unfettered access to the White House press briefings. He and CNN sued President Trump, Chief of Staff John Kelly, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications Bill Shine, Secret Service Director Randolph Alles, and the Secret Service officer who took Acosta’s hard pass away. Yes, really. Here’s why every single party to this story is wrong. Precisely no one actually thinks that Acosta is a good news journalist. He might be good entertainment, for some, but he doesn’t break news or accurately report it. He’s a pundit who loves to offer his opinions all day, every day. Even among his colleagues he’s known as a preener rather than a reporter. He doesn’t break stories or dig into facts. He preens on camera and does it in a way that makes it harder for legitimate press corps members to hold the administration accountable...  http://thefederalist.com/2018/11/13/everyone-is-wrong-about-the-jim-acosta-white-house-battle/

Socialist Family Feud Over Amazon HQ2

by Thomas Gallatin:  Amazon’s long-anticipated decision for the location of its new “HQ2” headquarters was announced with an unexpected twist — the new headquarters will be split between two cities: Queens, New York, and Crystal City, Virginia (a DC suburb). In the end, the reasoning behind this decision is obvious: direct access to the levers of financial and political power in two high-profile leftist enclaves. Instead of locating the new headquarters in the most business-friendly states and environments, Amazon chose leftist power centers knowing that the company will be able to seamlessly pass on any higher costs to consumers. And the tax benefits to Amazon work out to almost $50,000 per job created. Cronyism at its finest.

But there was another reason behind Amazon’s new headquarters’ “search.” In all likelihood, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos had made up his mind on the new locations when the search was first announced. As Reason speculates, “[Amazon’s] HQ2 search was not about HQ2: it was about market research. The mayors and governors and councilmen and commissioners and local developers of America handed priceless information about their plans, investments, and reserve prices to Jeff Bezos for free. … Amazon is now privy to information about where different municipalities are going to direct investment and infrastructure in the near future. The company can exploit this information.”
Interestingly, one of the biggest decriers of Amazon’s decision was none other than Bezos’s fellow lefty and newly elected Rep. commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). She blasted the announcement, writing, “Amazon is a billion-dollar company. The idea it will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks at a time when our subway is crumbling and our communities need MORE investment, not less, is extremely concerning to residents here.” Mind you, this is the same  commie-Ocasio-Cortez that dodges questions over how she plans to pay for Medicare for All while dubiously complaining about not having enough money to rent an apartment in DC until she begins collecting her congressional salary in January.
Both the billionaire socialist Bezos and poor commie-Ocasio-Cortez are cut from the same cloth — they look to government to dictate to the masses how Americans should live. In commie-Ocasio-Cortez’s case, it’s the demand that taxpayers foot the massive bills for Medicare for All, free college, and a host of other socialist wealth-redistribution schemes. For Bezos, it’s pocketing $2 billion in tax breaks while at the same time working to get the government to create Amazon-favoring minimum-wage legislation that would squelch competition against the online-retail behemoth. Both lust after power. Neither appear interested in abiding by the Constitution or preserving America’s hard-won freedom and exceptionalism.  ~The Patriot Post
