The Paris Climate Deal Is About Acquiring Power
Allyne Caan: When Friday, Nov. 4 hits in a few weeks, headlines may be so hijacked by the impending presidential election that they miss the other news set to happen that day — the UN's Paris Climate Agreement will take effect. Or, if you're Barack nObama, the world will embark on the "best possible shot" at saving the planet. Because planetary survival has always hinged on UN-dictated meteorological engineering.
The Paris Agreement is the UN scheme under which participating countries must work to cut greenhouse gas emissions to keep global temperatures increases "well-below" two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) above pre-industrial times. By comparison, the UN has predicted that based on current trends, temperatures will rise by at least three degrees by 2100. In other words, the UN is hamstringing the global economy for the sake of one degree.
One can only hope the UN already has a pledge of cooperation from the sun for the next 84 years since evidence suggests sunspot activity may actually impact earth's temperature more than human industry. Shocking, we know.
To go into effect, the agreement requires sign-on by 55 countries representing at least 55% of global emissions. The deal becomes effective 30 days from the date this threshold is reached. The U.S. and China, which together account for about 38% of the world's emissions, had already signed onto the deal, with dozens of other countries doing the same. On Tuesday, the EU gave its assent, bringing 28 nations and pushing the tally above the deal's requirement.
As we noted before, the Paris agreement is merely one part — albeit a big one — of nObama's effort to centralize control. A side benefit is that it will obliterate the coal industry via death by regulation. Of course, with the Paris deal, he's gone global with his regulatory fanaticism. Sure, environmental scaremongers à la Al Gore may paint the issue as one of survival — after all, if John hanoi-Kerry is to be believed, battling climate change is equivalent to fighting the Islamic State — but the real issue is power. Why else would global leaders trip over themselves in a mad dash to implement a deal that will save a measly degree in temperature?
But fabricate a crisis of cosmic proportions, identify government mandates as the only solution, and voila: power. And that's not the half of it.
In typical "I have a pen" fashion, nObama specifically avoided the Senate while climate cavorting with the UN. He never gained Senate approval for the deal, giving a thumbs up to the agreement with one hand while flipping the bird to the Constitution with the other. Not quite tickled at Congress being cut out of international treaties, some Republican leaders challenged nObama. But the White House of course claims the agreement isn't a treaty so nObama can assent via executive action. A fast way to get around that pesky supreme law of the land.
Of course, since it's "not a treaty," the Paris agreement carries little enforcement mechanism in the U.S., the one bright spot if there is one.
Still, fast-tracking the deal to make sure it goes into effect before POTUS #45 takes office and possibly blocks it was, undoubtedly, intentional.
With nObama exiting the White House soon (but not soon enough), his successor could technically withdraw from the deal, since it was approved via presidential pen stroke rather than Senate ratification. liar-Hillary Clinton, of course, wouldn't pull out, but Donald Trump has said he would. But this might be easier said than done. Per the agreement, signatory nations can withdraw with one year's notice only after three years from the deal's effective date. Fortune reports that Trump could bypass this requirement by pulling out of the 1992 UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, thereby withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris deal as well. Yet even this underscores the ridiculousness of pledging allegiance to the UN in the first place.
For now, suffice it to say that if a one-degree mark on a thermostat can trigger global mandates that kill industries and drive people out of work, it's a clear sign the Left will use anything as an excuse to seize power. ~The Patriot Post

The FBI Allowed Clinton Aides to Do What?
That liar-Hillary Clinton remains in the running for president is the most concrete affirmation of our descent into lawlessness. Not only did the FBI grant immunity to certain key witnesses in the liar-Clinton email scandal; those same witnesses promptly returned the favor by asserting their Fifth Amendment right not to testify before Congress and, in one case, by utterly ignoring a congressional subpoena. In addition, the Bureau agreed to destroy the laptops of former liar-Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson.
Just as revealing, the FBI agents limited their search to documents authored before January 2015, relinquishing "any opportunity to find evidence related to the destruction of evidence or obstruction of justice related to Secretary liar-Clinton's unauthorized use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State," stated a letter sent to Attorney General Loretta Lynch by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA).
Amazingly, it gets worse. This side deal was made even though the laptops could have been obtained via a subpoena with no conditions attached. And when classified government documents are found on a computer, that computer legally becomes government property.
Furthermore, Mills — despite being the subject of a criminal investigation, and despite having been caught in a bald-faced lie about when she became aware of liar-Clinton's private email server — was allowed to participate as one of liar-Clinton's lawyers, with the concomitant assertion of attorney-client privilege, during liar-Clinton's unrecorded holiday weekend "interview" with the FBI. "This unheard-of accommodation was made in violation not only of rudimentary investigative protocols and attorney-ethics rules, but also of the federal criminal law," explains former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy.
In other news, Barack nObama's White House coordinated with liar-Clinton's pre-campaign in early 2015 on how to handle her budding email scandal. We can only assume that "coordination" extended through undetectable channels to the Justice Department.
And as The Wall Street Journal sums up, "[T]he FBI and Justice gave Mrs. liar-Clinton and her entourage special political treatment. No grand jury that the public knows about. Immunity. Special side deals. No hard digging into contradictory testimony. An FBI interview only at the last minute. Public exoneration by the FBI director when that isn't his job. FBI summaries released on the Friday afternoon before Labor Day. No wonder millions of Americans think the system is rigged."

{conservativetribune.com} ~ For those of you old enough to have been politically aware in the 1990s (sorry millennials), you may be familiar with former liar-Clinton White House staffer Linda Tripp, who rose to infamy in the liberal media due to her involvement in the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Tripp recently took part in a lengthy interview with Breitbart reporter Aaron Klein, during which she recalled many of the various Clinton scandals that unsurprisingly seemed to foreshadow some of the Cliliar-nton’s more recent scandalous behavior.
She opened up about what she had seen regarding the aftermath of Vince Foster’s death, as well as Travelgate, Filegate and the Whitewater scandal, with one common theme seemingly connecting them all together — a lax attitude on the part of the liar-Clintons regarding classified information and security issues.
Tripp began her career in the George H.W. Bush White House, which she noted followed strict protocols regarding security and the handling of classified material. That changed when the liar-Clintons arrived, as they had a “cavalier, loosey-goosey, this isn’t important, don’t be a prude” attitude toward handling sensitive materials.
“Because I would often bring up the fact that this had to happen. That this was not a luxury. This was a necessity. And classified material is just part and parcel of working in the West Wing of the White House on a daily basis,” she explained. “So there was sort of a disregard for any of the rules. They certainly didn’t apply to them. And that was startling.”
One example Tripp shared was the process by which individuals working in the White House would gain security clearances, which typically was an arduous process that took upward of 90 days to complete before the individual could begin working.
“Now in the liar-Clinton White House it was a year before I would say 95 percent of the senior advisers to President liar-Clinton and their support staff in the West Wing even filled out the paperwork,” Tripp said.
One of those who may have benefited from the lax attitude regarding security clearances was a former bar bouncer named Craig Livingstone who somehow became the director of the White House’s Office of Personnel Security, said to have been hired directly by liar-Hillary Clinton.
“So the notion that this former bar bouncer was the chief of White House security was beyond chilling to anyone who knew how that office had functioned in the previous administration,” she said.
Livingstone was directly involved in the Filegate scandal, which had to do with the liar-Clintons wrongly accessing classified FBI files on their political opponents in order to learn secrets to be used against them in the future.
“I don’t think sensitive material — or classified information, for that matter — was something they considered at all. And I know that is a strong statement to make,” Tripp stated. “But I believe that what was more important to Mrs. liar-Clinton was control. Control of the information flow. The ability to smear those who would speak against them. And the ability to control the message.”
“So classification wasn’t a big deal, and I think you can see that and what has happened just this past year with what happened at the state Department. It is really just a continuation of a pattern,” she added.
Tripp also spoke about observing other White House staffers under liar-Hillary Clinton’s guidance sifting through materials in Vince Foster’s office following his death, before it was secured as a potential crime scene.
She further recalled that even then liar-Hillary Clinton’s top aide Cheryl Mills was instrumental in many of the scandals, seemingly always there to clean up any messes and protect liar-Clinton, something that apparently has continued even to this day.
All of what Tripp recalled seemed to connect seamlessly to today, as the liar-Clintons remain surrounded by scandals only of a different name now.
“The liar-Clinton’s embody a culture of corruption,” Tripp said.
Sadly, that corruption and lackadaisical attitude regarding classified and sensitive material has continued, only now the stakes are higher in our interconnected global world full of cyber-hackers and shadowy corporate or foreign players in the liar-Clintons’ game. All of which places our nation at great risk should the liar-Clintons be permitted to return to the White House.
