Robin Smith: There is a dramatic difference between public opinion that is held due to personal beliefs and independent choices and the propaganda-influenced narratives that are passed off as truth in today’s news cycles. While Americans are correct in pointing to the absolute surveillance of Google, Facebook, and Big Tech, please don’t believe this just started with the invention of the iPhone or the monopoly of these large tech companies.
Let’s dare to go back to the 1990s to see how good ole fashioned politics was replaced with focused and deliberate training to infiltrate the medium at the time that served as a major platform for issue discussion and debate: talk radio.
In reviewing some papers and communiques in the scumbag/liar-Clinton Library, detailed plans, strategies, and actions were deployed with up to 4,000 people in at least 23 states in the Talk Radio Initiative (TRI) orchestrated and directed by the Democratic National Committee and the scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton White House. This army of activists earned the identifier of “seminar callers” to hosts who began seeing the pattern of callers sticking to similar, if not almost the same, talking points that consistently placed Republicans as dangerous, harmful, and oppressive with, naturally, the scumbag/liar-Clintons and Democrats having all the right positions on policy.
The Washington Free Beacon painstakingly reviewed several years’ worth of confidential state-party memos, executive communications directly from the White House and secret DNC correspondence from internal documents of the scumbag/liar-Clinton Library. It’s safe to say that scumbag/liar-Hillary wasn’t able to “wipe those with a cloth” like her personal email server.
According to the Beacon, records “revealed that the scumbag/liar-Clinton Administration consistently kept tabs on and coordinated with TRI, considering it a crucial pillar of the administration’s plan to neutralize talk radio in preparation for the 1996 election.” The archive that, clearly, former scumbag/liar-Clinton-era National Security Advisor Sandy Berger couldn’t steal (yeah, he stole classified documents on several occasions, hiding them in his clothing) also reveals that the director of this TRI propaganda effort was, in his own words, “coordinating closely” with federal departments and agencies, the White House, and other key Democrat operatives. More than 25 years ago, the practice of weaponizing our own government for the purpose of electoral victories was in full swing.
The reason this communications effort was launched was a response to the major upset of the 1994 Republican takeover of the House — the first GOP majority since 1954. And that was just two years after a Democrat had just beaten incumbent Republican President George Herbert Walker Bush. scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton and the Democrats lost to Newt Gingrich’s Contract with America in the ‘94 election, which loomed as a bad sign for the prospects of scumbag/liar-Clinton’s reelection.
So, what did the Democrats do? Did they work to win hearts and minds by standing on effective policy?
Why, no! They worked to undermine the system with propaganda.
Let’s make sure we all embrace the accurate definition of such information and activity. Propaganda is information disseminated for a cause — whether truthful, accurate, or authentic. It’s a mass message communicated for the purpose of “helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person,” says Merriam-Webster. That information may, and is often, of a biased or misleading nature.
In reality, #FakeNews has not just begun in recent years, as almost every grassroots conservative knows. The media, on a very large scale, especially at the national level, has been coordinating and collaborating for decades as part of the Democrats’ efforts to win elections and showcase the policies that will always benefit their cause. America just now has a president in Donald Trump who’s saying what most have already seen and are thinking: There is rampant media bias.
It’s fascinating to appreciate that in 1992-1996 when this talk-radio strategy was being deployed, there was only CNN and no Fox News. Rush Limbaugh was (and still is) the King of Talk Radio. There was no Facebook, or even its predecessor MySpace. There was no Twitter and its Trolls who swarm conservatives from their anonymous accounts with vile and hateful spew. Nope. It was the nightly networks, CNN (or, as Rush lovingly called them, the scumbag/liar-Clinton News Network), and Rush.
Yet, the scumbag/liar-Clintons and the DNC aimed to destroy and work to completely restructure all of talk radio to eliminate their enemy and have only a platform parroting their approved talking points. Similarly, when this publication was launched in 1996 as The Federalist, the hope was to be a voice of Liberty among the very controlled efforts of censorship of the day. Today’s Patriot Post, the oldest online political digest, continues that fight. Yet, the opposing army of angry activists in step for the mass of malcontents has swollen in ranks.
Newton’s Third Law seems to have been proven applicable to politics: For every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction. The scumbag/liar-Clintons worked as the Left does to divide by race and class while twisting truth. The scumbag/liar-nObama administration had eight years of fawning despite failure with a compliant and complicit media. With the successes of the Democrats to use propaganda, an opposing force of conservative media was born and thrives today.
While President Trump stands against the entire Leftmedia with its army of malcontents always at the ready to swarm, understand that his very presidency is, in part, a result of a desire of the American voter to have a leader who sees what they see and says that they’re saying, despite being told by corporate media that they’re uneducated, racist, bigoted, and whatever name fits.
“The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous,” Adolf Hitler once said. “All effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand.” Hitler’s tactics worked. If there had been Rush Limbaugh, The Patriot Post, Fox News, and others committed to individual Liberty and not identity politics and power, things would have been different.
Don’t fall for the lies. ~The Patriot Post
