GOP May Cancel August Recess -
Prevent Dems From Campaigning at Home
{ rickwells.us } ~ President Trump met with Republicans from the least productive body of American politics, the United States Senate, on Tuesday... with the idea of cancelling the August recess coming up as a likely prospect, for some very good reasons. Most significantly, there are 24 Democrat incumbents facing reelection this cycle and only 9 Republicans. That means that keeping them in DC would reduce the amount of time they could spend campaigning at home, making them more vulnerable to challengers who are on the ground in their home states. President Trump tweeted his position on the recess on Sunday, writing, “The Senate should get funding done before the August break, or NOT GO HOME. Wall and Border Security should be included. Also waiting for approval of almost 300 nominations, worst in history. Democrats are doing everything possible to obstruct, all they know how to do. STAY!”....
Charles Krauthammer ‘Back On Track’ After Multiple Surgeries

{ dailycaller.com } ~ Fox News regular and Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer says he is finally “back on track”... after multiple surgeries and hopes to eventually return home. Krauthammer took time off during the summer of 2017 to undergo a medical procedure and reportedly suffered complications. Fans have been clamoring for updates on his health, and Fox News anchor Bret Baier shared some good news on Monday. “Finally, tonight, an update many of you have been waiting for,” Baier teased. “Panel regular… Charles Krauthammer sent me a very nice email this afternoon, and he said I could share some of the good news about his recovery from multiple surgeries.”...VIDEO at the site.

An ‘Institutional Bait And Switch’ In Its Dealings With Chicago

{ dailycaller.com } ~ A public park advocacy group filed a federal lawsuit Monday accusing liar-nObama Presidential Center organizers of pulling an “institutional bait and switch”... by reneging on its original planned purpose of building an official presidential library in historic Jackson Park. The Chicago City Council approved an ordinance in 2015 for the parkland to be leased to the liar-nObama Foundation for the purpose of housing former President Barack liar-nObama’s official presidential library, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Tuesday. But operations have since changed. liar-nObama now plans to use the parkland to build a $500 million personal museum and monument dedicated to his person. The National Records and Archives Administration will operate his presidential library somewhere else. The lawsuit, Protect Our Parks, Inc. filed against the city of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, argues public parkland is “prohibited by law” from being given to a private entity such as the liar-nObama Foundation for private use...He did alot of that while in office..

{ lifezette.com } ~ When the U.S. embassy opened Monday in Jerusalem, President Donald Trump heralded it as the fulfillment of his campaign promise... to recognize the eternal city officially as Israel’s capital. But that’s not at all how many members of the mainstream media viewed the event. Deadly protests across the Israel-Gaza border that left dozens of Palestinians dead and more than 2,000 injured marred the day. Many of the protesters were violent and threw rocks and incendiary devices across the border. Many shouted, “Death to Israel” and brought knives and fence-cutting tools to breach the border. Israeli officials said that many protesters belong to Hamas and other radical Islamic terrorist groups, claiming that “at least 24 terrorists with documented terror background” were killed by Israeli fire, the BBC reported. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted that “every country has an obligation to defend its borders.” The violence continued Tuesday as clashes between protesters and Israeli troops recurred. Protestors hurled stones and burning objects at the troops, while the troops used tear gas....
Haspel Secures Enough Votes for Confirmation

{ freebeacon.com } ~ Democratic Sens. Mark Warner (Va.) and Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.) announced their support Tuesday for Gina Haspel to be the next CIA Director... likely ensuring her confirmation. "I’m going to support Gina Haspel’s nomination to be Director of the CIA. I also respect my colleagues who have made a different decision," Warner said in a statement. Warner, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement he would support Haspel after she wrote a letter stating the CIA should never have used its enhanced interrogation program. Haspel, a career intelligence officer, came under pressure from Democratic lawmakers over her post-9/11 role overseeing a "black site" in Thailand, where waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation tactics were employed against suspected terrorists....

Second Study: Fracking Doesn't Contaminate Groundwater
by Political Editors: A new study on the practice of hydraulic fracturing (otherwise known as fracking) recently published in the Springer corroborates an earlier study conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Both studies found that fracking to extract oil or natural gas resulted in no contamination of groundwater, a charge popularly leveled against the oil and gas industry by environmentalists. Using a form of radiocarbon dating to detect traces of natural methane gas (CH4) in groundwater near fracking sites, the study concluded, “We found no relationship between CH4 concentration or source in groundwater and proximity to active gas well sites. No significant changes in CH4 concentration, CH4 isotopic composition, pH, or conductivity in water wells were observed during the study period. These data indicate that high levels of biogenic CH4 can be present in groundwater wells independent of hydraulic fracturing activity.” To sum it up, the study found no evidence of any groundwater contamination from fracking activity.
And while environmentalists and ecofascists are typically quick to dismiss any studies that don’t comport with their desired narrative, including attacking the source of the study’s funding (often claiming the bill was footed by profit-driven oil companies), that dodge of relevant science will not be possible with this study. The two organizations that funded the study were the David & Sara Weston Foundation, whose mission is to “enrich and strengthen underserved communities in … the arts, environmental conservation and social services,” and the Deer Creek Foundation, whose objective is to “enrich the cultural and artistic quality of life in St. Louis metropolitan area.” Will environmentalists listen or does their commitment to ecofascist dogma prevent objective analysis? We think we know the answer. But we suppose they can always try raw water instead… ~The Patriot Post
