DEBATE BLITZ: loose lips liar-Joe Biden, who in 2018 bellowed, “If we were in high school, I’d take [Donald Trump] behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” was last night’s punching bag, the Washington Examiner  reports. “loose lips liar-Biden fended off political attacks on multiple fronts during the second night of Democratic 2020 presidential primary debates in Detroit, hitting the former vice president and longtime senator over his record on immigration, race, and crime.” Notwithstanding the attacks, National Review’s Jim Geraghty believes that “loose lips liar-Biden Survives, So loose lips liar-Biden Wins.” “If [last night] doesn’t do any damage to his numbers,” surmises Geraghty, “he will probably cruise to the nomination.” Meanwhile, expect a slew of others to cruise to the dustbin.

JUDICIAL INROADS: “The Senate confirmed 13 of President Trump’s judicial picks this week, helping clear the deck ahead of the five-week August recess. The nominees were split up throughout the week with four confirmation votes taking place on Tuesday and nine on Wednesday, three of which were by voice votes.” (The Hill)

LENDING RATE LOWERED: “The Federal Reserve lowered its benchmark rate by a quarter point Wednesday as an insurance policy not against what’s wrong with the economy now, but what could go wrong in the future. It was the first rate cut by the central bank in more than a decade.” (CNBC)

SLUGGISH PROGRESS: “Mexico announced Tuesday that there has been a 39 percent reduction in the number of Central American migrants passing through the country on their way to the U.S.,” according to National Review. “The number of migrants traversing Mexico to reach the southern border has fallen from 144,278 in May to 87,648 thus far in July, foreign-relations secretary Marcelo Ebrard told the Associated Press.” However, the Washington Examiner adds, “Federal law enforcement based on the U.S.-Mexico border are expected to encounter 1.1 million people trying to cross illegally by the end of the fiscal year Sept. 30, despite Mexico’s assistance stopping migrants on their journey north.” By the way, Fox News reports, “The U.S. Ambassadors’ Fund for Cultural Preservation granted $475,000 to the Great Zimbabwe Museum to make repairs to the border wall of an 11th century stone fortress that surrounds the ruins of an ancient city.”

BIN LADEN’S SON DEAD: “The United States has obtained intelligence that the son and potential successor of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Hamza bin Laden, is dead, according to three U.S. officials. The officials would not provide details of how Hamza bin Laden died or if the U.S. played a role in his death. The death occurred some time in the past two years, said the officials, but confirmation came only recently.” (NBC News)

NO RACIAL BIAS: “A new study published in the  Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences  demolishes the Democratic narrative regarding race and police shootings, which holds that white officers are engaged in an epidemic of racially biased shootings of black men. It turns out that white officers are no more likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot black civilians. … In fact, if there is a bias in police shootings after crime rates are taken into account, it is against white civilians, the study found.” (Heather Mac Donald)

PROFITS SHAVED: “Gillette’s infamous ‘toxic masculinity’ ad may cost Procter & Gamble more than anyone imagined in January. The year that Gillette launched its ‘We Believe’ campaign and asked ‘Is this the best a man can get?’ has coincided with P&G’s $8 billion non-cash write down for the shaving giant.” (The Washington Times)

OLYMPIC CONCERN: “With the Tokyo Olympics looming, women’s groups in New Zealand and the U.K. are sounding the alarm over the threat posed to the integrity of women’s sports by biological males who identify as females being allowed to compete against females.” (The Daily Wire)

Chris Wray's FBI continues to cover for
Team scumbag-Comey's Russia shenanigans
By JOHN SOLOMON } ~ The FBI is going to court to fight the public release of a small number of documents the State Department sent to agents from Christopher Steele... the British intelligence operative and scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton-paid political muckraker, during the 2016 election. Normally, such Freedom of Information Act cases don’t merit public attention. This one does. To hear the FBI tell it, the release of former Deputy Assistant Secretary Kathleen Kavalec’s documents is tantamount to giving up the keys to President Trump’s nuclear briefcase, aiding the enemy or assisting terrorists. “We know that terrorist organizations and other hostile or foreign intelligence groups have the capacity and ability to gather information from myriad sources, analyze it and deduce means and methods from disparate details to defeat the U.S. government’s collection efforts,” an FBI assistant section chief swore in an affidavit supporting the request to keep the documents secret. The FBI can’t afford to “jeopardize the fragile relationships that exist between the United States and certain foreign governments,” the FBI official declared in another dramatic argument against the conservative group Citizens United’s request to release the memos. And if that wasn’t enough, the bureau actually claimed that “FBI special agents have privacy interests from unnecessary, unofficial questioning as to the conduct of investigations and other FBI business.” In other words, agents don’t want to have to answer to the public, which pays their salary, when questions arise about the investigative work, as has happened in the Russia case...
The Fed cuts interest rates for the
first time since the financial recession
By Megan Henney } ~ Former Dallas Fed adviser Danielle DiMartino Booth, former JPMorgan Chase Chief Economist Anthony Chan and James Freeman on the outlook for Federal Reserve policy... The Federal Reserve Opens a New Window. cut interest rates on Wednesday for the first time since the start of the financial recession more than a decade ago, hoping to preserve the 11-year economic Opens a New Window. expansion from growing global uncertainties. During its two-day meeting, the Federal Open Market Committee voted, as expected, to ease the benchmark federal funds rate by 25 basis points, ending an era of monetary policy tightening by policymakers, who have voted nine times — as recently as December — since 2015 to hike rates. In approving the cut — the range is now between 2 percent and 2.25 percent — the U.S. central bank cited "the implications of global developments in the economic outlook as well as muted inflation pressures." Policymakers said they will continue to act "as appropriate" to sustain the economic expansion in weighing a potential future cut. Currently, traders Opens a New Window. are pricing in a 77 percent chance of a second quarter-percent cut during the FOMC's September meeting. "We see today's' action as more of an insurance ease, even though it is significant," said Tony Bedikian, managing direct or at Citizens Bank. "Recent economic data has been positive and, while the market had priced in this rate cut and the Fed had telegraphed it, the economy has continued to add jobs and consumer confidence has remained high despite signs of slowing growth and some market uncertainty.”...
West Virginia Bets Big on Plastics, and
on Backing of Trump Administration
by Keith Schneider } ~ West Virginia’s industrial might has faded, but as 2020 approaches, the state has two resources that could be crucial to President Donald Trump... as he seeks reelection and tries to make good on his pledge of “American energy dominance” — Republican votes and abundant natural gas. It was a stretch of rural counties along the Ohio River in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania that form the largest natural gas field in the world and helped Trump win the states in 2016. West Virginia’s elected leaders see the vast reserves as a path to renewed political and economic relevance for the Mountain State, which they envision rivaling the Gulf Coast as a center for processing natural gas and producing plastics. And to make that a reality, the state’s top officials have lined up behind a plan to spend as much as $10 billion to build a mammoth underground storage facility — big enough to hold the U.S. Capitol complex, or 10 million barrels of the liquid byproducts used in plastics manufacturing. By providing a sizable and stable storehouse for ethane and other so-called gas liquids, the facility would, its proponents say, encourage the expansion of a chemical production corridor that is emerging along the upper Ohio River and would help bring thousands of jobs to a region that has seen its industrial moorings slip away over the past two generations. The prospect of an energy jobs bonanza in a politically vital state stirred the interest of the White House. A senior Energy Department manager has been assigned to work on the project, known as the Appalachian Storage and Trading Hub. In April, the president issued an executive order on energy that encouraged “opportunities, through the federal government or otherwise, to promote economic growth of the Appalachian region, including growth of petrochemical and other industries.” And the president’s newest budget proposal includes funds to study the region’s gas-related industrial potential...
Nasty, Trump-Hating Lunatic worthless-Rashida
Tlaib is in Big Trouble in Her Home State
by Jim Hoft } ~ Vocal “Squad’ member Rep. worthless-Rashida Tlaib, the unhinged Israel-hating Detroit Democrat, is in big trouble back home in her Michigan district... worthless-Tlaib made headlines in Washington DC with her cursing the US president and screaming at the US border. She is definitely unhinged. worthless-Rashida Tlaib won her primary in Michigan with a very, very slim majority, in the 30 percentile only, 31.2 to 30.2. She was able to defeat five black Democrat opponents. With only two candidates in next year’s primary next year the black candidate will likely win. According to the National Journal worthless-Tlaib won without the black support in her district and they are not happy with her rants against the president and Israel, while she does nothing other in her job. Also, her own father accused her of electoral fraud. Don’t look for liar-Nancy Pelosi to dump any money into this one’s campaign coffers. It looks like worthless-Rashida will be leaving office before President Trump. YES
Democrats Are Really Dumb
Enough to Go Through With It
by ~ This weekend, four more House Democrats joined the cause – the cause for impeaching President Donald Trump... This brings the caucus that much closer to a majority for impeachment proceedings, meaning that House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi may not be able to hold back the floodgates for much longer. An impeachment in the House inevitably followed by a swift acquittal in the Republican-controlled Senate would be an electoral disaster for the Democrats in 2020, and liar-Pelosi seems to be one of the few who understand that. Nonetheless, it was probably only a matter of time before the inmates took control of the asylum. Though the steadily climbing total may not move Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi off of her resistance to opening a formal impeachment inquiry, Sunday’s burst of support suggests momentum behind the effort is growing and accelerating. More than a dozen Democrats — including Rep. Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), a member of liar-Pelosi’s leadership team — have newly signaled their support since former special counsel Robert Mueller testified to Congress on Wednesday. The four who issued their support on Sunday, all from Washington state, bring the total number of House Democrats who have publicly said they’d vote for an impeachment inquiry to 107 — 11 shy of a majority of the Democratic Caucus — with backers of an inquiry promising there are more waiting in the wings. The lawmakers received a significant endorsement a short time later from Sen. Patty Murray of Washington, the third highest-ranking Democrat in the Senate and a close ally of Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer. Murray said in a statement that “as we have learned more about the gravity of the potential threats to our democracy identified in Special Counsel Mueller’s report, it has become clear the House should begin proceedings to determine whether the President’s actions necessitate impeachment.” It is truly remarkable that Mueller’s hearing, a disaster by any fair-minded account, would actually bring Democrats closer to impeachment rather than further away. It shows what we already knew, that this is a party willing to go to the ends of the earth to avoid facing reality. Their conspiracy theories have failed the sniff test. Their obstruction of justice claims are laughable on their face. The Midwestern moderates – the ones who voted for scumbag/liar-nObama and then switched to Trump – have absolutely no use for this kind of partisan circus. And yet they’re moving forward with it anyway. It is one of the biggest, most obvious political blunders in modern history, but Democrats – driven more these days by the mob on Twitter than any form of logic or reason – show little sign of recognizing it. Hey, who are we to wake them up?
liar-Pelosi's Impeachment Pivot
Political Editors:  House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi seemingly has been walking an impeachment tightrope for months. On the one hand, many Democrats have been trying to impeach President Donald Trump since before he even took office. On the other, numerous Democrats won districts in 2018 that Trump won in 2016, and they’d rather not explain an impeachment vote to their constituents. So, liar-Pelosi’s objective is simple: Keep Trump on the ropes with incessant investigations to placate the base, but always stay just short of impeachment so as not to endanger “moderates.”

“I’m not for impeachment,” liar-Pelosi insisted in March. “Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

But after the debacle of Robert Mueller’s testimony last week, she may be changing her tune. She denied the allegation that she’s trying to “run out the clock” on impeachment, saying a decision on pursuing it will be made in a “timely fashion.” House Judiciary Committee Chairman scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler, who led the first hearing with Mueller, has been at the forefront of the impeachment push. And he says the time is near, because such an inquiry is already “in effect” and “articles of impeachment are under consideration as part of the Committee’s investigation, although no final determination has been made.”

Over the weekend, NBC News reported, “More than 100 House Democrats have called for impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump to begin. The threshold was crossed just days after former special counsel Robert Mueller testified on Capitol Hill about his investigation into Russian election interference.”

“He has done many impeachable offenses,” scumbag liar-Nadler argues. “He’s violated the law six ways from Sunday. But that’s not the question. The question is, can we develop enough evidence to put before the American people? We have broken the logjam.”

Yelling louder doesn’t equal evidence, but by all means, we hope Democrats keep their focus in all the wrong places.  ~The Patriot Post

Breaking — West Virginia Lawmakers Invite Persecuted Pro-Second Amendment Counties In Virginia To Join Their State

West Virginia lawmakers introduced legislation to invite persecuted pro Second Amendment Counties to join their state.

The West Virginia Senate adopted a resolution to remind Virginia residents from Frederick County that they have a standing invite — from 1862 — to become part of West Virginia.

West Virginia freedom fighters broke away from Virginia Democrat slave owners during the Civil War.

This week West Virginia has once again invited persecuted Virginia pro 2-A counties to come join their state.

Sounds like a winning plan!

Resolution 8 reads as follows:

(By Delegates Howell, Summers, Shott, Householder, C. Martin, Hott, Graves, Cadle, Barnhart, J. Jeffries, Maynard, Phillips, Foster, Hamrick, Steele, D. Jeffries, Wilson, Waxman, Bartlett, Paynter, Linville, Sypolt, Bibby, Hill, Ellington, Higginbotham, J. Kelly, Mandt, Pack, Dean and P. Martin)

[Introduced January 14, 2020]

Providing for an election to be had, pending approval of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a majority of qualified citizens voting upon the proposition prior to August 1, 2020, for the admission of certain counties and independent cities of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the State of West Virginia as constituent counties, under the provisions of Article VI, Section 11 of the Constitution of West Virginia

Whereas, The Legislature of West Virginia finds that in 1863, due to longstanding perceived attitudes of neglect for the interests of the citizens of Western Virginia, and a studied failure to address the differences which had grown between the counties of Western Virginia and the government at Richmond, the Commonwealth of Virginia was irretrievably divided, and the new State of West Virginia was formed; and

Whereas, Such division occurred as the Trans-Allegheny portions of Virginia perceived that they suffered under an inequitable measure of taxation by which they bore a disproportionate share of the tax burden; and

Whereas, That this perception was further compounded by the effects of a scheme of representation by which Trans-Allegheny Virginia was not allowed to have its proper and equitable share of representation in the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, That this arrangement arguably resulted in the tax dollars of Trans-Allegheny Virginia being used to enrich the Tidewater through internal improvements which did not benefit the people of Western Virginia, while the people of the Trans-Allegheny had little to no say in how their tax dollars were allocated; and

Whereas, Though this course led to an irreconcilable division, and the subsequent formation of West Virginia, yet, the longstanding peaceful cooperation between this State and the Commonwealth of Virginia is a sign that such separation, undertaken even under the most challenging and onerous of circumstances, can, with the passage of time, yield lasting results which are beneficial to both sides; and

Whereas, In the intervening years, the same neglect for the interests of many of the remaining counties of the Commonwealth of Virginia has allegedly been evidenced by the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, Particularly, many citizens of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont contend that an inequitable measure of taxation exists by which they bear a disproportionate share of the present tax burden of the Commonwealth; and

Whereas, The people of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont also believe that, currently, a scheme of representation exists by which the citizens of Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont do not have a proper share of representation in the government at Richmond; and, consequently

Whereas, The people of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont believe that their tax dollars are used to enrich the Tidewater and Northern Virginia through internal improvements which do not benefit the people of these other parts of Virginia, while the people of these other parts of Virginia have little to no say in how their tax dollars are allocated; and

Whereas, In recent days, these tensions have been compounded by a perception of contempt on the part of the government at Richmond for the differences in certain fundamental political and societal principles which prevail between the varied counties and cities of that Commonwealth; and

Whereas, In the latest, and most evident, in this string of grievances, the government at Richmond now seeks to place intolerable restraints upon the rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution to the citizens of that Commonwealth; and

Whereas, The Legislative body of West Virginia believes that this latest action defies the wise counsel which has come down to us in the august words of our common Virginia Founders: as the government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of that tribune of liberty, Patrick Henry-who stated to the Virginia Ratifying Convention in 1788 that “The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of a Signer of the Declaration and premier advocate of American independence, Richard Henry Lee-who stated in The Federal Farmer that “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of that zealous guardian of our inherent rights, George Mason-who stated that “To disarm the people…[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of the declaimer of our independence and theoretician of our freedoms, Thomas Jefferson-who stated in his first draft of the Virginia Constitution, that “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms”; and

Whereas, The Boards of Supervisors of many Virginia counties and the Councils of many Virginia cities have recognized this dangerous departure from the doctrine of the Founders on the part of the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, These Boards of Supervisors and Councils have passed resolutions refusing to countenance what they affirm are unwarranted and unconstitutional measures by that government to infringe the firearm rights of Virginians; and

Whereas, The actions of the government at Richmond undertaken since the recent general election have, regrettably, resulted in unproductive contention and escalating a lamentable state of civic tension; and

Whereas, That, as has been proven in numerous instances, such as have been observed internationally in more recent times with the peaceful dissolutions of Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union, and the creation of South Sudan, or, earlier in Virginia’s own history, with the formation of Kentucky, the peaceful partition of neighboring peoples can occur, and, is often very beneficial to both sides in reducing tensions and improving the tenor of discourse over ongoing political and societal differences; and

Whereas, Article VI, Section 11 of The Constitution of the State of West Virginia explicitly permits additional territory to be admitted into, and become part of this state, with the consent of the Legislature and of a majority of the qualified voters of the state; and

Whereas, In a spirit of conciliation, the Legislature of West Virginia hereby extends an invitation to our fellow Virginians who wish to do so, to join us in our noble experiment of 156 years of separation from the government at Richmond; and, we extend an invitation to any constituent county or city of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the body politic of the State of West Virginia, under the conditions set forth in our state Constitution, specifically, with the consent of a majority of the voters of such county or city voting upon such proposition; and we hereby covenant that their many grievances shall be addressed, and, we further covenant with them that their firearms rights shall be protected to the fullest extent possible under our Federal and State Constitutions; and

Whereas, Providing that the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall give its assent to any county or independent city presently part of the Commonwealth of Virginia having the opportunity and ability to do so, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia.
