TRUMP-CAMPAIGN SPYING: “Attorney General William Barr dropped a bombshell Wednesday, telling a group of senators that he believes spying against the Trump campaign did take place in 2016. … ‘Yes, I think spying did occur. ICE CHIEF THROWING IN THE TOWEL: “The acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Ron Vitiello, has resigned amid an agency wide restructuring of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). OPM TROUBLES: According to The Washington Free Beacon, “China is mining intelligence from an estimated 23 million records of American federal workers, including intelligence and security personnel, stolen in cyberattacks against the Office of Personnel Management.” Perhaps it’s good timing, then, that the White House “has been looking into dismantling the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and appears to be moving closer toward accomplishing something no president since Reagan has,” as reported by The Daily Wire.

{ aei.org } ~ The Israeli elections were touted as a referendum on the leadership of four term Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Israeli people have made clear their opinion... Notwithstanding corruption charges, the enmity of the privileged classes, and an opponent who presented himself as Bibi-lite, Netanyahu is on track for another term. “It’s an unbelievable, tremendous victory,” Netanyahu said. And he’s right. For a while, it appeared that the Likud leader had met his match. His major opponents agreed to set aside their differences in order to take Bibi down, and for the first time, it appeared that Israel’s muddled, riven left had found a path to victory. If Netanyahu’s secret sauce is confidence in his security bona fides, who better to face him than three former generals who together made up the hastily cobbled together Blue and White alliance? And they gave him a run for his money: Almost finalized returns appear to hand 35 seats in the 120 seat Knesset to each list, not bad for a party that didn’t exist last year. But the once mighty Israeli Labor party is likely down to six seats, with four for its ally Meretz. Labor once held Israel like the Democratic Party held the US House — in a vice-like grip no one ever believed would loosen. And this is what it has come to. But back to Bibi. The press loves to liken Netanyahu to Donald Trump, and there is a resemblance — and one that Bibi took pains to emphasize in his campaign. Both are brash, both are politically incorrect, both are despised by the establishment, and if we are to believe the fourth estate and prosecutors, both are crooked. But Netanyahu is far deeper, far smarter, and far less feral than Trump; when the time calls for it, his mind is in the political game. But unlike Trump, his entire career has not been informed simply by the game. It was Netanyahu who decided not to attack Iran’s nuclear sites; it was Netanyahu who stayed out of Syria’s conflict, except to strike Iranian assets; it has been Netanyahu who has presided over the greatest rapprochement between Israel and the Sunni Arab world in Israel’s history. Still, Trump made clear his desire to see Netanyahu win this race, and did a good deal to tip the scales for the Likud leader. The designation of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization just a day before the election, the decision to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan mere weeks ago, and the US embassy move to Jerusalem have all been music to Bibi’s ears. Wikipedia’s Credibility Called
into Question… Again: Analysis

{sharylattkisson.com} ~ A report in Huffington Post recently revealed the case of Wikipedia editor Ed Sussman, who was paid by media clients such as NBC and Axios to help diminish critical material... Paid editors operating in a similar manner to Sussman have worked on behalf of CNN contributor Hilary Rosen and the CEOs of Reddit and Intel, among other clients. Other conduct by Sussman not covered by the Huffington Post shows him authoring fluff pieces for NBC executives and getting his proposed changes approved by another paid Wikipedia editor. The report by Ashley Feinberg detailed former journalist Ed Sussman’s work as a paid Wikipedia fixer for clients such as Axios, NBC, and Facebook. Sussman did this work through the firm WhiteHatWiki, which he argues follows Wikipedia policies. Political Editors: Amidst a lengthy investigation of the president over possible obstruction of justice, Rep. scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler (D-NY) declared that his accusers were attempting a coup d'état, and insisted, “Members of Congress have no power, indeed they have no rights, to arrogate to themselves the power to nullify an election absent such a compelling threat.” One problem: As The Daily Signal notes, “scumbag liar-Nadler’s remarks came as the House Judiciary Committee was considering articles of impeachment against President scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton.”
Oh how times change!
scumbag liar-Nadler, who’s spearheading Phase II of Democrats’ crusade to obstruct President Donald Trump, has requested numerous documents from Trump associates in an attempt to further this effort by ensnaring Trump in his hush-money payments to mistresses.
But, again the Signal points out, back in 1998, scumbag liar-Nadler sang a different tune: “Perjury is a serious crime, and if proven, should be prosecuted in a court of law, but it may or may not implicate the president’s duties and performance in office. Perjury on a private matter, perjury regarding sex, is not a great and serious offense against the nation. It is not an abuse of uniquely presidential power, it does not threaten our form of government.”
1998: “The effect of impeachment is to overturn the popular will of the voters as expressed in a national election. We must not overturn an election and remove a president from office except to defend our very system of government or our constitutional liberties against a dire threat. And we must not do so without an overwhelming consensus of the American people and of their representatives in Congress of the absolute necessity.”
2019: “There could be grounds for impeachment [in dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s report], there could be grounds for other actions, there could be things the American people ought to know. You know, you can commit shameful acts, you can commit complete betrayals of the public interest without committing impeachable acts. And if you did that, the public ought to know that too. And the standard here is not an impeachment. The standard is we have to protect the public from presidential misconduct.”
