According to the Associated Press, “Former Texas Rep. socialist-Beto O'Rourke announced Thursday that he’ll seek the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, ending months of intense speculation over whether he’d try to translate his newfound political celebrity into a White House bid.” socialist-O'Rourke unsuccessfully tried to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz during the midterms. But as the AP notes, “He got within 3 percentage points of upsetting Cruz in the nation’s largest red state — and shattered fundraising records in the process — immediately fueling chatter that he could have higher ambitions. Now socialist-O'Rourke must prove whether the energy he brought to the Texas campaign will resonate on a much larger stage.”

“The Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday grounded all Boeing 737 Max jets in the U.S., citing new evidence that showed similarities between two fatal crashes of the popular planes that have killed 346 people in less than five months,” CNBC reports. “The move marks a stunning turnaround for the U.S., which has stood by the American-made aircraft as dozens of countries around the world grounded the planes.” U.S. airlines operate 74 of the approximately 370 total jets.

“New York prosecutors Wednesday announced criminal charges against President Donald Trump’s former campaign chief, Paul Manafort, only minutes after his sentencing in a federal case. The indictment … charges Manafort with 16 counts related to mortgage fraud, conspiracy and falsifying business records. … Earlier Wednesday, a federal judge sentenced Manafort … to 43 months of additional prison time on conspiracy charges lodged by dirty cop-Mueller as part of his probe of Russian election meddling and possible Trump campaign collusion. Less than a week earlier, Manafort had received a 47-month prison sentence in another federal case lodged by dirty cop-Mueller. Manafort’s combined prison time in the dirty cop-Mueller cases totals 7½ years.” (CNBC)

Quartz reports that New Mexico “is the latest to embrace carbon-free electricity, passing a bill that will require all electricity from public utilities to come from carbon-free sources.” California, Hawaii, and DC have already instituted carbon-free requirements. The incremental mandate in New Mexico “requires the state (now one of the country’s top oil, gas, and coal producers) to get 50% of its energy from renewables by 2030 and 80% by 2040. By 2045, it must go entirely carbon-free.” On the upside, the scheme presumably incorporates nuclear power.

Circuit left by now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday 53-46. The vote to confirm Neomi Rao to the appellate court was entirely along party lines, with Sen. scumbag-Patty Murray, D-Wash., not voting. … Rao came under fire from liberal activists seeking to derail her nomination to the court by attacking pieces she wrote in college that criticized irresponsible drinking and calling race a ‘hot, money-making issue.’” Translation: She was targeted for speaking truth. “British parliament on Wednesday approved an amendment prohibiting a so-called no-deal Brexit, in which the U.K. would exit the E.U. without first securing alternative trade and immigration arrangements. … Having now rejected the default position that the U.K. will exit the E.U. on March 29 regardless of whether a deal has been secured, Parliament is expected to vote Thursday on an amendment that would extend the Brexit deadline until May 22.” (National Review)

“The Senate voted Wednesday to end U.S. support for the Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen, its latest rebuke of the Trump administration’s continued embrace of the Saudi monarchy despite growing frustration among lawmakers with its actions on the world stage. … The resolution must still be taken up in the House, where members passed a nearly identical resolution to end U.S. participation in the Yemen war earlier this year. Elizabeth dinky-Warren has “zero” sympathy for people caught up in the college-admissions scam, The Daily Wire reports. “That would be a rather ironic sense of moral indignation for someone of alleged 1/1024th Cherokee ancestry who nonetheless thought it fit to rely upon that purported ancestry as part of her application for the State Bar of Texas. Perhaps dinky-Warren ought to consider that she is not the most well-suited spokesperson for this particular crusade.”

“The parents of 11-year-old Desmond Napoles, a so-called ‘drag kid’ known as ‘Desmond is Amazing,’ have been investigated by authorities for alleged child abuse,” according to The Daily Wire. “Desmond, dressed in full drag, danced in a sexually suggestive manner on stage at a New York City-based gay bar called 3 Dollar Bill. As Desmond took off his jacket, howling men in the audience handed him dollar bills, as one might see at a strip club.” Amazingly, though, “The boy’s mother said in a post that authorities have claimed the abuse allegations are ‘unfounded.’ Wendy evidenced this with screenshots of such determinations via social media.” Simply inexcusable.

This time it’s Reps. scumbag-liar Jerrold Nadler and scumbag-Adam Schiff -- armed with their made-up accusations, their long lists of intended victims, with Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and scumbag-Schiff and scumbag-liar Nadler playing the Perry Masons of our day. Today's script sees scumbag-Adam Schiff, the Hollywoodian, claiming to have evidence of collusion between President Trump’s crowd and the Russians. It’s fanciful, and it even sounds fanciful. He thinks that a phony letter to Donald Trump, Jr. somehow proves tricky—indeed, criminal—behavior by then-candidate Donald the elder. Here’s scumbag-Schiff emoting on Meet the Press: I think there is direct evidence in the e-mails from the Russians through their intermediary offering dirt on scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton as part of what is described in writing as the Russian government effort to help elect Donald Trump. They offer that dirt. There is an acceptance of that offer in writing from the president's son Don Jr. and there is overt acts in furtherance of that. That is the meeting at Trump Tower…But there was no dirt and no deal. It’s all nonsense, but scumbag-Schiff uses it to slime the president, and he does not hesitate to use rumor for the same purpose...

She opened up her speech with, “Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim!”... which means “In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate.” It is better known as the Muslim war cry. She then declared a Muslim victory over the government of the United States. She also said that envisioning her enemies dead is a great comfort to her. “‘We always said ‘the Muslims are coming’… I think we’re here!” “We’re not only everywhere in all kinds of different governments but, mashallah, we’re in the United States Congress.” Recall, The Gateway Pundit reported that Rashida Tlaib invoked the Muslim war cry of Allah in January at a reception for terror-tied CAIR shortly after she was sworn into Congress on a Quran. Democrat Palestinian-American Rashida Tlaib was draped in a Palestinian flag as she celebrated her primary victory with supporters in August. Video taken of Tlaib’s victory speech for the August 7th primary showed an emotional Tlaib being embraced by her Palestinian mother, Fatima Elabed, who took the flag off her daughter and draped it on her own shoulders. No American flag was seen in video taken of Tlaib’s speech in August. Tlaib also went on a profane impeachment tirade the day she was sworn into office on a Quran, calling President Trum “motherf*cker!” Had enough yet, America? .

Wealthy Leftists Caught Cheating
College Admissions
Thomas Gallatin: On Tuesday, federal prosecutors announced charges against more than 50 people involved in cheating and bribery for admission to colleges and universities. Individuals charged included two well-known actresses, several business CEOs, college coaches, college administrators, and William Rick Singer, founder of The Key, which was the organization responsible for running the whole scheme. The schools implicated include Georgetown, Yale, Stanford, University of Texas, University of Southern California, UCLA, and others. Interestingly, several of the charged individuals have also donated to Democrats.
Andrew Lelling, U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts, explained, “Based on the charges unsealed today, all of them knowingly conspired with Singer and others to help their children either cheat on the SAT or ACT and/or buy their children’s admissions to elite schools through fraud. This case is about the widening corruption in elite college admissions through the steady application of wealth combined with fraud. … There can be no separate college admissions system for the wealthy.” He further noted, “For every student admitted through fraud, an honest, genuinely talented student was rejected.”
“The cherry on top?” National Review’s Jim Geraghty asks: “The whole enterprise was granted tax-exempt nonprofit status by the Internal Revenue Status since 2013. Those Tea Party groups couldn’t get nonprofit status, but these crooks could.”
Cheating always raises people’s ire, especially when it comes at the hands of those with wealth and influence. Indeed, as Geraghty put it, “The full description is an epic portrait of graft, corruption, elitism, and sleaze that will leave you wanting to burn down the Ivory Tower.” That said, in many ways the system has been legally rigged for years, primarily through affirmative action. Claiming to seek the goal of equality of access, affirmative action instead promulgates the idea that some groups are inherently more worthy or deserving than others, based upon historical circumstances viewed through the lens of race rather than individual merit.
The point here is that neither cheating the system via bribery nor legally rigging the system to favor (or in the case of Harvard University, discriminate against) racial minorities are just. A truly just system would apply the same standard to all applicants, irrespective of their economic status or race.
How will this criminal fiasco be spun by those on the Left? We predict it will become a call for greater government intrusion; remember, never let a crisis go to waste. Don’t be surprised to see more calls for “free college” as a solution. Leftists will claim that free college will serve to limit the “evil” impact of “white privilege” and the “wealth privilege” of capitalism. This is the same logic Democrats use to defend their free-speech-squelching campaign-finance reform. ~The Patriot Post
