I’m an artist, dedicated Dog Fancier, and a life-long freedom-lovin’ American Republican…the way to be! I’ve followed, enjoyed, and ranted about Politics all my life…and it has driven me nuts and exhilarated me all the same!
For years I have watched and lamented as America has eroded its God-given Rights and Constitutional Birthright, sacrificed by a power-hungry political establishment. As Republicans choose their candidate for President in 2012, it appears that GOP voters are once again making a critical error in judgment; most specifically an inability to judge character appropriately.
Here’s the truth that you have not been told.
Many of us in the pet community spent nearly two years of our lives fighting to defeat the illustrious former Senator and his destructive animal rightist agenda. These are some of the political cartoons I drew at the time. Additional artworks may be seen at my website

If you actually believe what Rick Santorum claims he is…think again!
PAWS 2005: We Will Never Forget!
As much as I love conservative talk radio and Fox News, I am dumfounded when I hear the conservative media actually sing Santorum’s praises. Perhaps they neglect to remember just how dirty, unethical, and corrupt Rick Santorum was as a U.S. Senator. During Rick Santorum’s tenure in Washington, D.C., he fought hard to promote legislation on behalf of leftist animal rights organizations. During his so-called Pet Animal Welfare Statute of 2005, which was shrewdly named “PAWS”, anyone who fought against his bill or tried in vain to properly educate the former Senator, was maliciously branded a “zealot” by Santorum and his staff.

For years, animal ownership has been under assault by militant animal rightist groups such as the so-called Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS) and PeTA, as well as by lobbyists throughout the animal shelter industry. As these groups fund raise through propaganda and legislation, demonizing pet owners and breeders alike, the shelters in turn have
imported millions of dogs from outside the U.S. to meet their lucrative market demand. They vastly inflate "unwanted pet" statistics by
moving them around prior to selling them for “adoption”.
Don't take my word for it. Click on the
links I've provided in this blog.
Animal Rights and their animal shelter counterparts have shrewdly crafted a phenomenally profitable industry; a lobbying machine that operates under false pretenses.
Santorum’s legislative agenda gave legitimacy to animal rightist causes on Capitol Hill, which then spread and infested local governments all over the country. Despite Santorum losing office in 2006, the Republican Party establishment didn’t get it then…they still don’t get it! What is going on?!

Oddly enough, Rick Santorum manages to garner a lot of Evangelical and Tea Party support. An endorsement of Santorum is severely misguided. Merely because he touts family-value sound bites doesn't mean that he is an honest conservative. In fact, Santorum’s collaboration with the militant animal rights agenda is such a severe infraction of moral fiber, a blatant example of an assault on American Freedom and Liberty, that all of his conservative credentials are suspect. In short, his history is very telling: Santorum is a dangerous phony. How could we ever trust this guy to protect America with one agenda while bedding up with nutty leftists in order to slide another agenda-driven knife into the back of Lady Liberty?
Forcing unnatural legislation (or should we say, “leftislation”) does harm to honest Americans while aiding and abetting the dishonest and disingenuous. Santorum is fully aware of the evils he committed, but chose to do them anyway. To this day, he has yet to own up to it.
As the primary debate continues, there is increasing risk and concern that conservatives are missing or might be ignoring the fact that while no candidate is perfect, they are not weighing the vetting process appropriately. Santorum’s opportunist and big-government establishment track-record is the very antithesis of conservatism and individualism, but has yet to be acknowledged.
I wonder how conservatives could possibly reconcile the fact that Santorum’s political allies are dedicated to anti-hunting, anti-pet-ownership, anti-animal husbandry, anti-agriculture, anti-meat, socialism and liberalism, and utilize the very same Saul Alinsky agenda that President Obama and the left wing espouse. Their goals are wholly dedicated to the accumulation of money and power no matter the expense to the American public. Animal-related causes are simply a disingenuous means to an end, a con-job, preying on the uninformed or the hopeless activist that harbors jaded opinions toward animal ownership.
Santorum’s collaboration with the animal rightist agenda is a revealing litmus test, far more crucial in context than mere pet ownership rights and agriculture issues alone.
Santorum is unfit for the following reasons:
- Santorum’s regulation nightmare promoted unconstitutional infringements: The USDA and militant animal rights activists would have been allowed unprecedented access, bureaucratic, and dictatorial powers inside the homes of American citizens.

- Assault on property ownership: Santorum’s big-government legislation was an outright attack on the pet ownership rights of U.S. Citizens, in which over 50% of homes own at least one dog or cat.
- Assault on the 1st Amendment: Santorum prohibited dissenting testimony during his Senate hearings on PAWS, instead choosing to surround himself with animal rights activists.See the SAOVA Roll Call ad that I did the artwork for.
- Keeps bad company: Santorum has repeatedly connected himself and colluded with left-wing activist organizations such as HSUS, PeTA, etc.. His influence proffered legitimacy and gave these groups tremendous access to Capitol Hill.
- History of legislative strong-armed tactics: Santorum conned the American Kennel Club into supporting PAWS 2005. He threatened the AKC to either support his legislation or he would force them entirely out of the legislative process. The result was division of the membership against the leadership of the AKC. Thankfully this wonderful organization survived!
- Operates under false pretenses…simply put, candidate Santorum is not the patriotic conservative he pretends to be. Any politician that supports such nutty and destructive agendas should never be considered a patriotic conservative.

At a bare minimum, conservatives need to be aware that Rick Santorum is a big-government opportunist willing to sacrifice the freedom of anyone for his political whims. This makes him unfit for anything, let alone an influential player in the Republican Party. Conservatives should be smarter than that!
To those who believed that Santorum was a patriotic American conservative, I’m sorry to disappoint you. Like me, you have been searching for a person of conviction and integrity; someone who will fight hard to reinstate our lost birthright. For the reasons I’ve stated above, Santorum’s continued influence must be nipped in the bud before the GOP risks putting it anywhere near the White House or future Republican influence.
Please pass this on to your friends and conservative Freedom-lovin’ Americans. They need to know the truth about the animal rightist Rick Santorum.
We were conned in 2008 and look what it got us: a weak GOP candidate and a Saul Alinsky Socialist in the White House. The results are proving to be a disaster. Now America is at a critical time in its history: a tipping point. Republicans must get it right this time otherwise America is forever doomed to fall into the destructive abyss of socialism and collectivist destruction.
Finally, anyone should be able to beat the pants off the current resident of the White House. My dog could beat Obama! However, only a vigilant candidate with strong belief in America's foundations can bring this nation back from the brink of collective destruction. Isn’t it about time that the Republican Party stops settling or letting the Left choose its candidate? Isn’t it about time we finally vet our candidates properly and decide what is important and what kind of "baggage" is forgivable?
Michelle Bachman is generally consistent. Ron Paul is the only true Constitutionalist on the panel. And while Mitt Romney is the typical GOP establishment candidate, to his credit he is to be commended for helping reduce the numbers of imported
shelter dogs with rabies in
Massachusetts. In sharp contrast, Rick Santorum's animal rightist connections are unforgivable.
As we choose the Republican candidate for President of the United States, Rick Santorum should get a line through his name rather than underneath it.
May God Bless America!
