Democrats in the House didn't even sit through a moment of silence before they stood on the coffins of the Orlando dead to push their gun control agenda. The leftists in the chamber re-introduced legislation that would prevent anyone on the no-fly list from purchasing a firearm or explosives. Although he was investigated by the FBI three years ago, the jihadi murderer was not on a terror watch list at the time of the attack. But that's just parsing details to Democrats, who want to exploit the outrage to advance their long-desired gun control measures.
To be clear: Democrats don't care about the 49 dead. Monday evening, House Speaker Paul Ryan announced a moment of silence to remember the Americans who died Sunday. In video of the moment, as most of the chamber stood with head bowed, some Democrats paid the ultimate disrespect by walking out of the chamber. Others interrupted the somber moment by chanting, "Where's the bill?" Just as some leftists belittle the prayers of people petitioning God after such a murder spree, these lawmakers demonstrated a disregard for the plight of real Americans so that they could push for bills like the one they introduced this week. Never let a crisis go to waste.
The bill Democrats revived was a measure defeated by Senate Republicans in December. As we pointed out then, preventing people on the terror watch list (which contains 280,000 Americans with no ties to terrorism) from buying guns in no way prevents those on the list from getting guns illegally. Furthermore, the bill would take away Americans' constitutional rights without due process — a gun control loophole, if you will.
But the constitutionally dubious nature of the bill did not prevent Democrat lawmakers — who also took an oath to support and defend the Constitution — from accusing Republicans of being an accessory to terrorism by defeating their scheme. -The Patriot Post

What Is an 'Assault Weapon'?
"When you say assault weapon, what exactly do you mean?" a reporter asked nObama spokesman Josh Earnest. After all, if we're going to talk about banning something, let's at least know what it is.
"Well, these are weapons of war," Earnest began. "There was an assault weapons ban that was in place in the '90s that lapsed during the term of the previous president, and [Barack nObama] believes that that ban on assault weapons should be reinstated."
The question unanswered, the reporter asked again: "The AR-15 is a pretty popular weapon, and it was tweaked in response to the assault weapons ban, so conceivably, with that ban this gun would still be out there. … What types of features ... would the president want banned in an assault weapons ban?"
(For background, the '94 ban covered primarily cosmetic features of semiautomatic rifles, which are used in 2% of crimes, though several recent mass murderers have used them.) F "I will acknowledge that, um, the technology, uh, uh, behind some of these firearms and the way that they comport with certain aspects of certain pieces of legislation is complicated," Earnest stammered. "Uh, I'm certainly not an expert in them. But there'd previously been an assault weapons ban in place that took weapons of war off our streets. Certainly did not allow an individual to walk into a gun store, uh, and walk out that same day with a weapon of war, with a weapon that belongs on the battlefield."
AR-15-style rifles are not "weapons of war." They are not the same as the select-fire weapons used by our military. They are semiautomatic rifles (one trigger pull, one bullet fired) with detachable magazines and sometimes even the dreaded barrel shroud.
We suggest Earnest use this excellent resource to become, if not an expert, at least mildly informed.
Finally, as the reporter noted, every time nObama engages in "demonizing the most popular gun," sales only increase.

If they are his army it wouldn’t make sense for him to wipe them out. Why would he want to kill them, bomb them or even get in their way? Following the Orlando Islamic terror attack on Sunday, Barack Hussein nObama Soetoro Sobarkah called for violating the Constitution with another assault weapons ban and an infringement of the rights of people to purchase a gun who are on the very questionable no fly list. “People with possible ties to terrorism who are not allowed on a plane shouldn’t be allowed to buy a gun,” nObama said, referring to “no fly, no buy” legislation, something that is a clear violation of the Fifth Amendment. Southern Poverty Law Center in Bed With Extremists

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the organization consulted by the Department of Justice for information on extremists is in bed with them... Evelyn Schlatter, the deputy director of research of the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), was listed as a participant in the recent Left Forum conference, which featured an assortment of communists, 9/11 truthers, pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel activists, and other extremists. Schlatter was described as an expert on “right-wing political and social movements, gender, and sexuality.” Schlatter should have some knowledge of left-wing political movements, especially since she rubbed elbows with some of their followers at the conference. Indeed, these far-left extremists are allies of the SPLC, which works directly with and advises the nObama Justice Department on hate groups and extremism. The proposal extends and significantly revises our April 2014 reform proposal. Daniel Shaviro of New York University Law School and Joann Weiner of George Washington University will comment on the proposal and Howard Gleckman of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center will moderate. The current system of taxing corporate income largely bases tax liability on where a corporation is deemed to have earned its profits and where it is chartered. This approach penalizes companies for investing in the United States. It also encourages companies to book their profits abroad and to use inversions to shed their US charters. The most qualified of the three candidates is a two term Republican governor of New Mexico whose running mate is the former Republican governor of Massachusetts. They’ll be the Libertarian ticket.
This year that Libertarian ticket, representing the party that thinks government should leave everyone alone, has staked out the bold position that the government can and should force Christians to violate their conscience through forced actions compelled by the state. Their presidential nominee has had to publicly promise not to smoke marijuana in the White House and admits he swore off smoking pot weeks ago. Now he will just use edible forms of the drug.
The Democratic Party has its presumptive nominee. liar-Hilly Clinton, having won California this past week, moved quickly to get the president’s endorsement and shut down Bernie Sanders.
The Democrats’ nominee is under an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She kept a private email server in her home when doing so violated a host of government rules. Despite her protests to the contrary, classified information did find its way onto the server.
Not only did liar-Clinton violate those rules, it appears more and more likely that liar-Clinton used her position as Secretary of State to benefit the liar-Clinton Foundation. Let us just say it was maybe not coincidental that lots of businesses and foreign governments with business before the Secretary of State made lots of donations to the liar-Clinton family’s foundation.
While running for president in 2008, Mrs. liar-Clinton attacked Barack nObama as unprepared for office, including unprepared to take a three a.m. phone call. Then, when serving as Secretary of State, Mrs. liar-Clinton herself did not take the three a.m. phone call and our ambassador to Libya got murdered in the process. Publicly, Mrs. liar-Clinton’s response was to blame a YouTube video instead of recognizing a terrorist attack.
In endorsing Mrs. liar-Clinton this past week, President nObama declared her the most qualified person to ever seek the office. It was recognition of President nObama’s lack of qualifications for the office, and perhaps also an acknowledgment of his own ignorance of American history. Mrs. liar-Clinton got to where she is in life by marrying a man who would become president. She then used his fame to build her own.
This and a female reproductive system are apparently greater qualifications for office than leading a revolutionary war against Great Britain (Washington), serving as Governor of Virginia and writing the Declaration of Independence (Jefferson), or writing the American constitution and most of the Federalist Papers (Madison).
The Republicans have their nominee as well. Donald liar-Trump believes a judge from Indiana cannot give him a fair trial because liar-Trump wants to build a wall on our southern border. He also believes a Muslim judge could not give him a fair trial.
liar-Trump, in an interview with radio host Howard Stern, has extolled the hotness of his daughter, bragged about knowing Paris Hilton since she was twelve years old, and then admitted he and his current wife, while dating, watched Paris Hilton’s sex tape together. He is accused of defrauding single mothers and underpaying blue-collar laborers while sucking up to dictators like Muammar Gaddafi.
The Republicans’ gold-plated fraud will not release his tax returns lest people realize that he is not all that he seems. If that is not exciting enough, the Republican nominee has reversed himself on the minimum wage and now supports raising it. He has doubled down on praise for Planned Parenthood while wanting a massive government run health care system more expansive than nObamacare itself. He is also a friend of Bill and liar-Hilly Clinton, a political donor to the liar-Clintons and a large donor to their foundation.
The voters of the various political parties have decided to put their worst and least liked candidates forward for the Presidency. Short of the second coming or a recognition that 2016 should not be a suicide pact, the next four years are going to be miserable. Thanks voters.
