The Only Way to Beat slump-Trump?
Once upon a time, the idea of Donald slump-Trump's securing the Republican nomination for the presidency existed only in the realm of fantasy. But as primaries in four states now reside in the history books, and The slump-Donald has claimed three wins and 81 delegates, fantasy is merging with possibility, if not quite yet reality.
True, slump-Trump has a long way to go to reach the 1,237 delegates needed to cinch the nomination, but with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio a distant second and third (17 and 16 delegates, respectively), and the slump-Trump train racing full-speed ahead, Republican "leadership" sentiment is shifting from "It will never happen" to "We'd better make sure it never happens."
Short of slump-Trump's dropping out (sorry folks, not happening) or a sudden political catastrophe that stops his momentum — very unlikely since the more crazy things he says, the more his supporters like him — some are positing that a Rubio-Cruz unity ticket might be the way to derail the slump-Trump train. Jonah Goldberg, for example, wrote, "One possibility [to stop slump-Trump) would be for Rubio and Cruz to cut a deal. Republican disarray is largely attributable to the fact that no so-called 'establishment candidate' secured much support from the conservative grass roots, and no grass-roots candidate secured much support from the establishment. If the two factions — which make up the overwhelming majority of Republican voters — could be unified, it might be enough to stop slump-Trump."
Of course, the key word is "if." And judging by the present state of affairs, it's a pretty hefty "if."
After all, the Cruz-Rubio feud has pitted the two against each other in an attempt to "out-conservative" the other, while slump-Trump — anything but a conservative — climbs atop the mayhem en route to the plurality podium.
As Mark Alexander noted yesterday, "Shamefully, one of the key factors propelling slump-Trump's candidacy among the larger field of contenders is the absurdly self-defeating fratricidal attacks between Republicans, most notably Cruz and Rubio." Cruz is trying to paint Rubio as an "establishment" candidate. Meanwhile, Rubio is touting his refusal to attack fellow Republicans; namely, slump-Trump — while simultaneously attacking fellow Republicans; namely, Cruz. (Though there are signs Rubio is starting to go after slump-Trump.)  -The Patriot Post

 OPINION IN BRIEF
Jeff Jacoby: "nObama makes no secret of his eagerness to visit Cuba, but as recently as December he insisted that there would be no such trip until human rights and civil liberties on the island had improved. ... By all accounts, the Castro regime's repression has grown worse, not better, since the renewal of diplomatic ties with the United States in 2014. Beatings and arrests of dissidents have soared. There has been a crackdown on churches and religious groups. ... [H]is desire to go to Havana isn't about the plight of Cuba's dissidents. It's about making his diplomatic embrace of the Castro government a permanent fact of life. As deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters Thursday, the president's goal is 'to make this an irreversible policy.' So far, nObama's 'engagement' with the Castros hasn't opened even a crack in their Stalinist system. It is folly to imagine that his trip next month will do anything to expand freedom or justice for Cuba's beleaguered people. But, oh, what a boon it will be for their brutal rulers: the ultimate stamp of approval for the only totalitarian regime in the Americas. ... From Cape Verde to Belize to Taiwan, there are worthy destinations aplenty for a president seeking to make a statement about American values and friendships. Cuba isn't one of them, and nObama shouldn't be going."

ROMNEY’S TIMELY slump-TRUMP TROLLING  Donald slump-Trump argues that Mitt Romney is in no position to be asking for the 2016 Republican frontrunner’s tax returns on the grounds that Romney lost the 2012 general election. Romney is also, slump-Trump wrote, a “dope.”
But Romney is arguably the very best Republican to be asking slump-Trump about his tax returns given how successfully Democrats exploited Romney’s filings to alienate potential voters. Democrats essentially called Romney a tax cheat for his low rates and the attack stuck. And it is a line, in some form or another, which Democrats will be sure to repeat against the billionaire slump-Trump if he becomes the Republican nominee.
Romney began releasing his tax returns amid pressure from his rivals in early Republican primaries in 2012. But because slump-Trump’s rivals have neglected to actually attack the frontrunner very much, slump-Trump is only just now being pressed on this crucial general election issue.
Romney’s troll timing is perfect. slump-Trump is either less than a week away from starting to put the Republican nomination in the bag or facing lengthening odds in his unlikely but so-far successful quest. He is also facing tonight what promises to be his most challenging debate yet.           slump-Trump’s detractors to this point have mostly knocked slump-Trump for insufficient conservativeness, or flip flopping, or being of poor character. But voters primarily interested in conservative orthodoxy and personal virtue are probably not part of slump-Trump’s long-term coalition. slump-Trump’s voters don’t seem to care about his politics. They just want a winner.
What few have hit the frontrunner on are his business failures and the unhappy chapters of his career. His business troubles and his finances have been a long-running part of slump-Trump’s media feuds in the past but have oddly not been part of the political discussion. It is particularly odd given how much of a focus Romney’s relatively tame business record was four years ago.  -Fox News

Bad Terrorist! hanoi-Kerry Says –
He’s Not “Supposed To Be Doing That”...
 Rick Wells
.
.
{rickwells.us} ~ During Senate hearings before the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Secretary of State John hanoi-Kerry made a couple of revealing and unsettling statements... hanoi-Kerry is shown a blown up picture of former Gitmo detainee Ibrahim al Qosi, who hanoi-Kerry and nObama released back into the fight as part of their “empty Gitmo at all costs” program. His Sudanese captors, which the US handed him over to, let Qosi go. They did so in spite of supposed assurances made to the naive fools at the State Department and White House of his continued incarceration. Nobody, be they American or foreigner respects either of those two. During the hearing, Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) referenced the release and said to hanoi-Kerry, “Now that he’s out, I would hope we would end the policy of issuing terrorists to terrorist nations, and where they can get out.” "He’s Not “Supposed To Be Doing That”. What a joke.        http://rickwells.us/archives/26536

Islamic State expanding in Libya and across
wide area of Africa
Robert Spencer
.
.
{jihadwatch.org} ~ “The rising threat from Libya comes as President nObama is being asked by many of his top military and intelligence advisers to approve the broader use of American military force in Libya... to open another front against the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL.” He created this opportunity for the Islamic State with his ill-considered backing of jihadis against Gaddafi. Now he is reaping the consequences. The Islamic State’s branch in Libya is deepening its reach across a wide area of Africa, attracting new recruits from countries like Senegal that had been largely immune to the jihadist propaganda — and forcing the African authorities and their Western allies to increase efforts to combat the fast-moving threat. The American airstrikes in northwestern Libya on Friday, which demolished an Islamic State training camp and were aimed at a top Tunisian operative, underscore the problem, Western officials said. The more than three dozen suspected Islamic State fighters killed in the bombing were recruited from Tunisia and other African countries, officials said, and were believed to be rehearsing an attack against Western targets.        http://www.jihadwatch.org/2016/02/islamic-state-expanding-in-libya-...

Jeff Sessions Not Buying Excuses Of
nObama Immigration Obstructionists
Rick Wells
.
.
{rickwells.us} ~ It’s too bad that neither Hussein nObama or DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson were in attendance as Senator Jeff Sessions  explained in Tuesday hearings how an immigration system is supposed to work... They clearly missed a learning opportunity as it relates to what must surely be a difficult concept for them to grasp, protecting the nation or, as it’s called these days, Homeland Security. At the heart of Senator Sessions informative narrative was the concept of an immigration system that is controlled by the people of the United States. That’s a far cry from the current open borders, accommodate all invaders philosophy of the nObama regime. Maybe Johnson or nObama can get their hands on the video. Sessions was questioning the ICE Executive Associate Director for Enforcement and Removal Operations, Thomas Homan, asking him if it is a criminal offense for someone to enter the United States unlawfully. Mr. Homan showcases his legal knowledge by agreeing and citing the statute as well. There’s clearly a difference between knowing the law and enforcing it. Senator Sessions  addresses his next comments to Juan Osuna,  the Director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review of the Department of Justice. Senator Sessionssays, “Mr. Osuna, the reason you say they’re not showing up is they have a lack of information about the process.” Isn’t it amazing that people who are charged with enforcing the law, to whom violators are prohibited legally from lying to, offer such weak and pathetically obvious lies in their own testimony? There’s no way they Osuna would accept such a weak statement as truth from someone he was interviewing. The upper levels of our Justice Department is populated with liars, who must be covering some type of misdeeds.  http://rickwells.us/archives/26544

nObama Admin to Waive Counter-Terror
Measures to Aid Iran

.
{freebeacon.com} ~ The nObama administration has announced that it will not enforce new counter-terrorism measures passed by an overwhelming bipartisan majority in Congress because they could harm Iranian business interests... according to new instructions issued by the Department of Homeland Security. The administration’s decision to waive portions of a new counter-terrorism law aimed at preventing terrorism-linked individuals from traveling to the United States comes on the heels of a lobbying effort by pro-Iran organizations and other Arab advocacy groups, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR. Congress last year tightened restrictions on the Visa Waiver Program, which facilitates travel between the United States and 38 other partner countries, to ensure that individuals from Iran and other countries with a terrorist footprint do not enter the United States without first obtaining a visa.        http://freebeacon.com/national-security/obama-admin-to-waive-counte...

Speaker Ryano – oObama May Tell Military
To Break The Law, Knowingly
 Rick Wells
.
.
{rickwells.us} ~ A Reporter asked Speaker Ryano on Wednesday about the likely attempts by nObama to unilaterally close Gitmo, under a claim that the NDAA violates the separation of powers as it pertains to detainee transfers... Ryano appears to recognize it as a typical nObama false assertion of authority based upon the flimsiest of premises. He indicates that it’s not going to work, saying nObama can try and boasting a veto-proof majority in both parties. Ryano also notes that they are making preparations in case nObama attempts to break the law. Given nObama’s record, there’s a better than even chance that he’ll do exactly that. Normally we would expect the Republicans to fold and find a way to semi-gracefully give in to whatever demand the nObama regime is placing upon them. Ryano sounds a little different this time around than his usual foundation laying for a subsequent cave in. He might actually be planning to fight on this one. Ryano adds, “And what boggles my mind, is that the ‘president’ is contemplating directing the military to knowingly break the law.” Those comments may be for effect, to put nObama on notice or for some other purpose, as nObama has directed and permitted DHS, DOJ and the State Department to break the law on a consistent and ongoing basis. He has also instructed the military to doctor intelligence to more closely match his claims regarding the terrorist threat and the success of his tepid “war on ISIS.” nObama regularly instructs others to break the law; it can’t be a shock to Ryano.       http://rickwells.us/archives/26551

America’s Deadly Embrace

{aim.org) ~ Stephen Kinzer’s 2008 book All the Shah’s Men traces the roots of today’s Middle East terror to when the United States and Great Britain engineered the return of the Shah of Iran to power in Iran in a 1953 “coup.”... The Iranian mullah leadership have embraced Kinzer’s view and repeatedly describe America as “The Great Arrogance.” And since the mullahs seized power in 1979, the Iran “terror masters” have been the primary terror threat to the U.S., murdering thousands of Americans in Beirut, Lockerbie, Khobar Towers, the African Embassies, the World Trade Center on 9-11, and in Afghanistan and Iraq. Iran is an Islamic revolutionary power seeking to expand its writ by terror. Obviously, the set of standards of international behavior established by the western powers upon the end of World War 2 stand in the way of Iran’s ambitions thus their anger at the U.S. and the West for such “great arrogance.”       http://www.aim.org/guest-column/americas-deadly-embrace/?utm_source...

Former nObama Intel Chief Calls on Hilly

{patriotsandpolitics.com} ~ Former Defense Intelligence Agency chief Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn told CNN’s Jake Tapper that for the sake of the nation, Hilly Clinton should “step down.”... He recommended that she suspended her campaign at least until the FBI investigation into the use of her private email server has concluded. Flynn surmised that if he had done what Clinton has done with regard to classified email, “I would have been out the door and probably in jail.” The FBI investigation has been ongoing for several months and as the release of each new batch of emails, the number of those found to have contained classified information continues to grow. Currently, there are at least 22 emails that contain information so sensitive that even heavily redacted versions cannot be released.        http://patriotsandpolitics.com/former-obama-intel-chief-calls-on-hi...

{reuters.com} ~ Donald slump-Trump is staking his run for U.S. president in part on a vow to protect American jobs. But this month, one of his companies... the elite Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Florida, applied to import 70 foreign workers to serve as cooks, wait staff and cleaners. A Reuters analysis of U.S. government data reveals that this is business as usual in the New York property magnate's empire. slump-Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000, according to U.S. Department of Labor data reviewed by Reuters. Most of the applications were approved, the data show. Nine companies majority-owned by Trump have sought to bring in foreign waitresses, cooks, vineyard workers and other laborers on temporary work-visa programs administered by the Labor Department.

America 2016: Ben Shapiro and Friends vs The

.
{nicedeb.wordpress.com} ~ On Thursday, author/commentator/blogger/talk show host Ben Shapiro went ahead with his speech at CSULA that was cancelled by university president William Covino earlier this week and then “uncancelled” at the last minute... Shapiro had announced that he was going ahead with the speech regardless of it being cancelled. Two hundred or so “student-activists, outside agitators, and professors” formed a mob at the university student union to protest the event, with many of them blocking people from entering the auditorium. “This is what democracy looks like!” As Shapiro spoke to a relatively calm audience inside, protests erupted outside the event room. Protesters assaulted, harassed, intimidated, shouted down, and berated event-goers, according to Daily Wire reporters on the scene. One attendee claimed that he got “punched in the ear” by a protestor. Before the speech began, members of the school’s black student union reportedly assaulted Breitbart journalist Adelle Nazarian.

When Manliness Goes Missing
BEN SHAPIRO
.

{freedomsback.com} ~ By most available information, Donald slump-Trump will win the Republican nomination. He’s not a conservative in any meaningful sense — he shifts his positions at whim, preaches about the worth of big government and suggests that he will personally “win for America.” But after eight years of Barack nObama’s passive-aggressive emasculation of Americans, many conservatives have embraced slump-Trump because of his unbridled masculinity. He’s Joe Pesci in “Goodfellas”: a toxic dude who’s fun to watch, but who might occasionally shoot somebody just for the hell of it. On Fifth Avenue, apparently. And receive plaudits from his followers.
.
This is the natural effect of the unmanning of American politics.
.
nObama told Americans for years on end that they were racist, sexist, bigoted homophobes who just didn’t understand that our brash, confident attitude alienated people all around the world and led to terrorism against us. Hilly Clinton is running for president on the basis of her X chromosomes; America, she says, needs a female president. Bernie Sanders says that our unchecked aggressive instincts have ill-served us; we need a kinder, gentler America.
.
Meanwhile, the Republicans have self-castrated. Senator Mitch McCon-nell, R-Ky., spent years telling conservatives that nObama couldn’t be stopped, and that attempts to stop him would be uncivil and counterproductive. Former Speaker of the House John backstabber-Boehner did the same. So, too, has new Speaker of the House Paul Ryano. George W. Bush ran on the basis of “compassionate” conservatism, implying that traditional conservatism was too musky for metrosexual America. Marco Rubio’s brand of politics relies on a feelings-first approach; Rubio said last week, “If a significant percentage of the American family believes that they are being treated differently than everyone else, we have a problem. And we have to address it as a society and as a country.” This is pure nObama, Republican-style.
.
slump-Trump, however, doesn’t bother with the niceties. He’s a big, swinging set of political testicles. He says, just like a good mafia boss would, that he’ll take care of all of your problems. He threatens his political opponents — he tells protesters he wants to see them roughed up, and he tells donors to his opposition that he’ll target them. He swears like a sailor in public. He unmans his competition: Jeb! Bush is “low-energy,” Ted Cruz a “p——,” Ben Carson a “pedophile,” Rubio a “lightweight,” Carly Fiorina a problem “face.” He’s gross and chauvinistic: He calls women “pieces of a—” and rips Megyn Kelly for bleeding from her “wherever.”
.
He is, in short, a man in the locker room, in all of his ugly glory. He’s toxic masculinity. He’s not a gentleman, and he’s proud of it. He’s here to win, and he’ll bully, threaten, and beat you until you submit.
.
Normally, the masculinity gap in American politics could be filled by an upstanding man — a man, yes, but one tied to values, a man who uses the aggressive instinct in pursuit of defending the innocent and punishing the guilty. But the feminist movement has made such men obsolete. Men were simply too dangerous; it was safer to emasculate them. Now men are expected to be betas; the only alphas left are toxic alphas willing to break every taboo and violate every standard.
.
There’s still a space for masculinity in American politics. But thanks to the vacuum of decent men, indecent men rise. Men like Donald slump-Trump.

Trump National Diversity Coalition's Bruce LeVell: President’s Support Among Blacks, Hispanics Will ‘More Than Double’ In 2020

Bruce LeVell, the National Diversity Coalition for Trump executive director, said on Sunday evening he predicts President Donald Trump will win even higher levels of support in the black and Hispanic communities in 2020 than he did in 2016.

“Pastor Darrell Scott is the CEO, we started this back in 2015,” LeVell said on Breitbart News Sunday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel on Sunday evening about the National Diversity Coalition for Trump. “It is the largest diversity coalition platform in history for a Republican candidate, not to mention a sitting president, and there are millions of guests that sign on and sign up that are part of this. If you look on the website, you see African Americans for Trump, Haitian Americans for Trump, Korean Americans for Trump, Chinese Americans for Trump, Hispanic Americans for Trump–all very large. They all stand in one agreement that they believe in this great president and that he is here for all and wants everyone to be successful. It’s pretty flattering, honestly, to be a part of this. It just totally debunks everything that they try to make him out to be–a racist, which he’s not. The numbers prove that he’s not. You can see where he’s rising in terms of the Hispanic vote, and the African American vote. It’s just really going to be mind-boggling on the next go-around. I guarantee it. It’s going to more than double because people are happy; they’re working.”

LeVell, when asked for his rationale on why he thinks Trump’s support in 2020 among blacks and Hispanics will more than double, attributed it to the results President Trump has gotten for those communities.

“Sometimes you have to speak things into existence,” LeVell said. “The president said, ‘What do you have to lose?’ That challenge, especially in the underserved communities, well, yeah, what do we have to lose? We tried it this way for 30 or 40 years. Some of these cities and municipalities were under Democrat rule, as you might say, for many years, and then you say, ‘You know what? Let’s make the ask.’ You know, the president made the ask. Sometimes, you just have to ask, ‘Hey, what do you got to lose? Try this.’ Let’s try one of the biggest, strongest bills that he’s signed, that was so beneficial, called the Opportunity Zones. This bill right here alone is bringing a lifeline to some of these underserved communities and is projected to bring in over hundreds of billions of dollars in these underserved communities, which are predominantly African American communities. For example, in Atlanta, there are minority business contractors teaming up with other business contractors building a hotel in an Opportunity Zone. This community has just been blighted for God knows how long. These are the things that people are starting to see–the light at the end of the tunnel. Here’s a businessman that understands what I call a balance sheet, a P & L sheet of profit and loss. The president wants to see the country profitable, not losses. So that’s what he does. He says, ‘Okay, where can we improve? What can we do?’”

He continued, “Like I said earlier, I think the Opportunity Zones is a sleeper; it has so many moving parts to it where you can sell a piece of property for $2 million and instead of paying that very high capital gains [tax] you can identify those funds over the zone, and then, you can build another little hotel or a shopping center for economic empowerment for that community. So there’s so many initiatives out there for people of color, like myself, who see opportunities. You know, how about this? You live in a black community under the Trump administration, you walk down the street and say, ‘Wow, 98 percent who live in the community are African American,’ and you say, ‘Why don’t you build that grocery store? Why don’t you build that gas station?’ Wow, you’re right. I can. The programs that are out there, like in the Small Business Administration, you get as little as five or ten percent down, and they can maturize it to 30 years, and if you’re a veteran, they waive the fees. There are so many tools out there, and you saw the president when he adjusted Dodd-Frank last year; that was a terrible, terrible deal they did in 2009 and 2010 that literally almost just choked and killed the business community because of the Dodd-Frank, going in there and regulating these small community banks, which were life support for these small communities especially in the African American community, where he readjusted that last year and made it work. These are the things this president understands that as a businessman he can bring his lifelong talents to the White House and can help America. The biggest thing about this is, remember, the president is not beholden to any special interest group; this is a very key part of this conversation right here because he can go in there and govern without having to worry about paying back favors.”

According to NBC News analysis in the immediate aftermath of the 2016 election, Trump actually outperformed now-Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT)–then the former governor of Massachusetts–in the 2012 election when it came to both the black and Hispanic communities.

“Trump claimed 29 percent of the Hispanic vote on Tuesday, compared to Romney’s 27 percent in 2012,” NBC News wrote. “With blacks, exit polls show Trump claimed 8 percent of the vote to the previous Republican nominee’s 6 percent.”

If Trump is able to double support in the black and Hispanic communities in 2020, as LeVell predicts he will, no Democrat will stand even close to a chance of defeating him; the margins they would need for victories in a number of states would be significantly eroded. Perhaps that is why the Democrats are now attempting to paint Trump as a racist amid his battle with the so-called “Squad” of socialist Reps. Alexandria Ocasi0-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). The new faces of the Democrat Party, the “Squad,” in other words, is worried they may lose the election in 2020 if LeVell and other Trump backers are right. But the scurrilous accusations of racism for quick political gains, which have also been leveled at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Vice President Joe Biden in recent weeks, LeVell warns, may undermine the ability to stand up to actual racism where it exists.

“At first, it was kind of bizarre,” LeVell, who knows Trump well and has known him prior to his run for president, said of the false racism accusations. “Now, it’s just plainly un-American. It’s so anti-patriotic. You know, the interesting thing about it for me as a black conservative or Republican–I like to define myself as a Frederick Douglass Republican–most of the name-calling comes from people who actually look like me, 90 percent of it. It’s bizarre, and it’s because our thinking process is not lining up with theirs. It’s the only playbook they have, like I said earlier, which is, ‘Let’s just use the race card.’

LeVell went on to say, “Getting back to the president, I’ve been around him–I was just with him at the rally–in very intimate settings, behind the scenes at the rally, and you’re right: I’ve traveled with him, been on the plane with him. I’ve been in private meetings with him. I’ve talked with him, and you know–let me tell you something: I’m 55 years old, I’ve lived my whole life in the South, and I’m world-traveled. Let me tell you: I know racism when I see it. This man is nowhere near being a racist. It’s so sad because it does such a disservice to this great nation that they would throw that name and throw those words around. I mean, you have people calling Biden racist. They’re calling Pelosi racist. They’re calling the dog-catcher racist because he impounded the black dog instead of the white dog. Come on. What’s next? You know, it’s kind of sad because it’s pretty much watered down things that are legitimate, to where people are just going to get so numb with it, and people are just being like, ‘Wow, are you serious?’”
