Whistleblower Exposes Key Player
in FBI Russia Probe: “It was all a Set-up”

saraacarter.com } ~ Adam Lovinger, a former Defense Department analyst, never expected that what he stumbled on during his final months at the Pentagon... would expose an integral player in the FBI’s handling of President Donald Trump’s campaign and alleged Russia collusion. Lovinger, a whistleblower, is now battling to save his career. The Pentagon suspended his top-secret security clearance May 1, 2017, when he exposed through an internal review that Stefan Halper, who was then an emeritus Cambridge professor, had received roughly $1 million in tax-payer funded money to write Defense Department foreign policy reports, his attorney Sean Bigley said. Before Lovinger’s clearance was suspended he had taken a detail to the National Security Council as senior director for strategy. He was only there for five months before he was recalled to the Pentagon, stripped of his prestigious White House detail, and ordered to perform bureaucratic make-work in a Pentagon annex Bigley calls “the land of misfit toys.” His security clearance was eventually revoked in March 2018, despite the Pentagon “refusing to turn over a single page of its purported evidence of Lovinger’s wrongdoing,” Bigley stated. Conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, recently filed a federal lawsuit against the Defense Department to obtain the withheld records. Lovinger also raised concerns about Halper’s role in conducting what appeared to be diplomatic meetings with foreigners on behalf of the U.S. government because his role as contractor forbids him from doing so, according to U.S. federal law. An investigation by SaraACarter.com reveals that the documents and information Lovinger stumbled on and other documents obtained by this news site, raise troubling questions about Halper, who was believed to have worked with the CIA and part of the matrix of players in the bureau’s ‘CrossFire Hurricane’ investigation into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Halper, who assisted the FBI in the Russia investigation, appears to also have significant ties to the Russian government, as well as sources connected directly to President Vladimir Putin. “When Mr. Lovinger raised concerns about DoD’s misuse of Stefan Halper in 2016, he did so without any political designs or knowledge of Mr. Halper’s spying activities,” Bigley told SaraACarter.com. “Instead, Mr. Lovinger simply did what all Americans should expect of our civil servants: he reported violations of law and a gross waste of public funds to his superiors.”...   https://saraacarter.com/whistleblower-exposes-key-player-in-fbi-russia-probe-it-was-all-a-set-up/  .
Trump Can’t Afford to Go Soft on Turkey

fdd.org } ~ Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan may be playing dumb, but he’s not stupid... The strongman plunked down a deposit for Russia’s advanced S-400 air-defense system in December 2017—months after Congress passed a law that triggers painful U.S. sanctions on governments that purchase Russian armaments. Now Mr. Erdogan wants an exemption, and he apparently believes President Trump is inclined to give him one. Mr. Trump likely cannot do so without congressional approval. But even if he could, he shouldn’t. The Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, or CAATSA, is crystal clear about imposing sanctions on any entity that “engages in a significant transaction with . . . defense or intelligence sectors of the Government of the Russian Federation.” The S-400 cost Ankara around $2.5 billion and is widely believed to rank among the most lethal air defense systems in the world. But its lethality is not the reason that the U.S. State and Treasury departments have been pleading with Mr. Erdogan to cancel the sale. The greater problem is that it risks exposing U.S. technology to hostile powers. Turkey is in line to receive the American-made F-35; Turkish pilots are already training on these fifth-generation fighter aircraft at a base in Arizona. Operating the aircraft in conjunction with Russian S-400s could enable Moscow to track and collect intelligence on the capabilities of the most advanced jet fighter in the world. This would threaten the U.S. military’s already diminishing qualitative advantage—not to mention that of American allies who also acquire the aircraft. In addition to inviting congressionally mandated sanctions, Mr. Erdogan’s decision to acquire the S-400 could cost him the F-35. The Pentagon officially halted the delivery of F-35 training equipment and related material on April 1. Turkish pilots are still training, but it’s unclear how much longer that will last...
Time for Iran to Face a Reckoning

frontpagemag.com }  ~ While the media obsess over chimeras like the president’s obstruction of justice for nonexistent crimes, and AG Barr’s impeachment for obeying the law... a collision between the U.S. and Iran is brewing in the Middle East. The question now is whether Iran will finally face the reckoning it has invited and deserved for 42 years, or the latest crisis will peter out into U.S. saber-rattling and empty threats. Donald Trump has made a good start at ending our nearly half-century appeasement of a regime that has declared war on the U.S. and backed it up by murdering Americans and working to create nuclear weapons that would make even more difficult, or even prohibitive, the price of punishing them for their aggression. Since Jimmy Carter’s timid, feckless response to the 1979 American embassy hostage crisis, we have signaled to the mullahs that we will not exact a cost for their aggression. And this failure has been a bipartisan effort. When in 1983 Iranian proxies murdered 241 of our military personnel in Beirut, the Reagan administration pulled out even as the French and the Israelis strafed and bombed “Little Tehran,” the terrorist camps set up in the Beqaa Valley by Tehran, which nurtured the attackers. Since then Iran has been implicated in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and periodically taken hostage American citizens and sailors. In Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran’s Quds Force, the regime’s shock troops of global terror, have facilitated and participated in the murder of our soldiers. And it has continued to train and financially support terrorist gangs like Hezbollah and Hamas. More recently, under the leadership of Al Quds chief Qassem Soleimani, Iran has been working to establish bases in Syria, and has sent thousands of Iranians and mercenary jihadists to help prop up thuggish Bashar al-Assad. At the same time, it has been building up an armed presence on Israel’s northern border in preparation for Iran’s long-time goal to “wipe Israel off the map.” Closer to home, Iran has sent forces to Venezuela to prop up caudillo Nicolás Maduro and maintain a friendly base for developing terrorists to sneak into America and attack the homeland...

Abbas Is Ready to Reject the Peace Plan,
But Not For the Consequences

fdd.org } ~ Palestinians will reject the deal of the century if it does not meet their demands, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki warned last week... To prepare for the rejection, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has been consolidating power for more than a year at the expense of his rivals. Though centralizing power may look like an effective strategy from within, it will not likely shield the Palestinian Authority from the consequences of rejecting the White House’s forthcoming peace plan. Abbas met U.S. President Donald Trump four times between March and September 2017, while U.S. and Palestinian delegates met more than 30 times. After Trump’s decision to move the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem last year, Abbas severed political ties with the White House. Abbas then set in motion a series of moves designed to consolidate his political power and prepare his political allies to face the aftermath of dismissing the American peace proposal. The Fatah party that Abbas leads is the dominant grouping under the Palestine Liberation Organization umbrella, which is the Palestinians’ official international negotiating body. The PLO established the Palestinian Authority as an interim government pursuant to the Oslo Accords. Abbas sits at the helm of all three bodies. In May 2018, just as the United States moved its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv, Abbas convened the 787-strong Palestinian National Council, the PLO’s legislative body, for the first time in 22 years. The National Council elected a new 124-member Palestinian Central Council and reportedly transferred significant power to it. The smaller body is easier to manage in a political crisis. Abbas convened the newly inducted Palestinian Central Council in October 2018. The Council released a statement that began with a declaration of its opposition to the Trump administration’s “deal of the century,” even though specifics of the plan have yet to be released. By holding both of these meetings in Ramallah, a city inaccessible to Palestinian expatriates and to many supporters of his PLO rivals, Abbas helped further solidify his base...

Second federal appeals court rules against
Trump administration over DACA rollback

washingtonexaminer.com } ~ A second federal appeals court on Friday ruled against the Trump administration in its attempt to roll back the scumbag/liar-nObama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and said its decision to do so was unlawful... A divided three-judge panel on the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said in its ruling that the Department of Homeland Security’s decision to rescind the DACA program violated federal law because “it was not adequately explained and thus was arbitrary and capricious.” The Richmond-based federal appeals court is the second appeals court to rule against President Trump in his attempt to wind down the DACA program, which was implemented by the scumbag/liar-nObama administration in 2012 and protected immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children from the threat of deportation. In November, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court order blocking the government from rescinding the DACA program. The San Francisco-based court said then that plaintiffs in that challenge to the administration’s efforts to end DACA were likely to succeed in their claim that the rescission “is arbitrary, capricious, or otherwise not in accordance with law.” The Justice Department has asked the Supreme Court to take up the dispute over its attempted rollback, though the court has not acted on numerous petitions currently before it. The Trump administration announced in 2017 that it would be ending the DACA program, and the Department of Homeland Security predicated its decision on the grounds DACA was unlawful to begin with...

Democrats Lose With Anything but 'Grace'

Nate Jackson:  “The grace with which she met that defeat on an unfair, unlevel playing field with the secretary of state perhaps rigging, in part, that election … is inspiring stuff at a time that our democracy is so badly broken.” So said socialist-Beto O'Rourke, the media darling who lost his bid to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas, about crybaby-Stacey Abrams, the media darling who lost (and still refuses to concede) her bid to win the Georgia governorship last November.

Except that crybaby-Abrams has been anything but gracious.

First of all, Abrams founded a nonprofit through which she flooded then-Secretary of State Brian Kemp’s office with incomplete, inaccurate, and outright fraudulent voter applications — only to cry “racism!” and “voter suppression!” when some of those applications were thrown out. And that was before the election. In other words, she seeded the narrative for her loss even before her defeat.

Second, as our Louis DeBroux noted in November, “Democrat crybaby-Abrams lost her race for governor with more votes (1.9 million) than current Republican Governor Nathan Deal won reelection with in 2014 (1.3 million).” Yet she stubbornly clung to her “voter suppression” narrative, frequently airing her phony grievances since the election. Indeed, she now insists record turnout among minorities only “led to even more of those voters being subjected to voter suppression.”

And socialist-Beto calls that “grace”? He does need the 2020 votes from minorities, after all.

That brings us to drybaby-Abrams’s New York Times op-ed just yesterday, titled “Why I Am Determined to End Voter Suppression.” Spoiler alert: No she’s not; she’s committed to perpetuating and expanding the myth for nationwide political advantage.

She claimed, “My home state, Georgia, for example, suffered a vicious blend of electoral malfeasance, misfeasance and mismanagement during my race for governor last fall. But Georgia is not alone.”

Neither is crybaby-Abrams alone. Democrats in general are sowing distrust in the American electoral system, all while claiming it is Republicans who are undermining elections. And Dems are pushing numerous rules changes — from dumping the Electoral College to blocking citizenship questions on the census — that would stack the deck in their favor. Meanwhile, people like Elizabeth dinky-Warren are telling the American people that “if all the votes are counted, [Democrats will] win every time.”

If this is “grace,” we’d hate to see spiteful, divisive partisan bitterness.  ~The Patriot Post
