Amb Haley Threatens To Cut Off The
Cash To UN, Nations Hostile To US, Israel
{rickwells.us} ~ US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley had some strong language for the globalist body... that we continue to support and empower through our membership and donations. Don’t take our money for granted. As the UN General Assembly was poised to denounce the United States for recognizing Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and laughably declare that recognition as null and void, Haley had some words of warning for the grandiose diplomats who have gotten more than a little “too big for their britches.” She opens her comments by saying, “To its shame, the United Nations has long been a hostile place for the State of Israel,” noting the UN’s “disproportionate focus on Israel” as a wrong that undermines its credibility... https://rickwells.us/haley-threatens-cash-un-nations/

{frontpagemag.com} ~ President Trump and Ambassador Haley deserve lots of credit for fighting the good fight in the UN... But as this latest vote showed, it's a dead end. The UN is dominated by a corrupt, left-wing bureaucracy. And by bloc votes of Islamic countries and third world dictatorships whom Western countries strive to appease in a pointless bid for influence. Because we fund them. The UN was supposed to be a defense against totalitarian movements. Instead it quickly came to be dominated by them. There's no changing that. Not without changing the dysfunctional relationship between Islam and the rest of the world, and between third world tyrannies and the West. The only sensible thing to do is leave...  https://www.frontpagemag.com/point/268812/us-should-pull-out-un-daniel-greenfield

{theacru.org} ~ Elections across America are suffering from vulnerabilities in the system. In some cases... states can implement best practices to close these vulnerabilities. But there are also a number of pending nominations tied up in the United States Senate that should be confirmed immediately. These nominations are important to ensuring that our American electoral system does all it can to make voter fraud harder to commit. For starters, Senate Republicans should dump the “thirty hour rule” so that nominees can be confirmed more efficiently. The thirty hour rule “limits” debate on any nominee before the Senate to thirty hours once cloture is achieved. In other words, once a filibuster is ended, the filibuster can continue for thirty more hours. Some have proposed reducing the thirty hour rule down to eight hours. That’s a good thing. The last thing Americans want is more hot air coming out of Congress, especially when cloture has already been achieved... http://www.theacru.org/help-election-integrity-end-senate-30-hour-rule/

{dailycaller.com} ~ James Rosen, the journalist who was investigated by liar-nObama’s Justice Department, is departing Fox news after 18 years at the network... Rosen has been with Fox News since 1999, just three years after the channel launched, but is leaving at the end of the year. “James Rosen is exiting the company at the end of the year,” a Fox News spokesperson told TVNewser. “We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co-conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter,” Michael Clemente, the executive vice president of news at Fox News, said at the time. “In fact, it is downright chilling. We will unequivocally defend his right to operate as a member of what up until now has always been a free press.”..This is very sad news to see Rosen leave.   http://dailycaller.com/2017/12/22/james-rosen-leaving-fox-news-after-18-years/?utm_medium=email

{rickwells.us} ~ The recent symbolic vote in the UN in which they pretended member nations pretended to have some non-existent power to dictate to the United States... where we would or would not locate our embassy forced the international parasites who feed upon their American host out into the spotlight. They had the option of voting against the measure or of abstaining. The nations listed below all voted against the United States and in favor of allowing the Palestinians and the UN globalists to dictate where the US places its Israeli embassy. Ambassador Haley warned the UN General Assembly that there would be consequences for a vote against the United States. Apparently these nations either felt very strongly about their symbolic, otherwise meaningless vote or they haven’t yet figured out that President Donald Trump is doesn’t kiss the back ends of any terrorists or their sympathizers and enablers...   https://rickwells.us/friends-enemies-betrayal-un/

{townhall.com} ~ Unless you are spending this time of year at a spiritual retreat cut off from TV, newspapers or internet service you cannot escape the blaring music and the marketers attempting to sell you something they promise will bring you happiness and peace.

The many definitions of peace seem inadequate at this or any other time of year.

In Washington, D.C., there is a modern-looking building housing the headquarters for the United States Institute for Peace. Established by Congress in 1984, USIP's mission is "to promote national security and global stability by reducing violent conflicts abroad."

How is that working out? Wikipedia has compiled statistics and a map of armed conflicts around the world. While the colors are attractive, what they represent is not.

Then there are instances of terrorism and mass shootings in major cities, not to mention conflict in homes, which result in alienation and sometimes divorce, creating a different kind of casualty for children.

The Person Christmas is supposed to be about offers a different kind of peace from what the world offers and is unable to deliver: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)

Jesus of Nazareth is speaking to his followers and promising them contentment in a troubled and conflicted world. Not being afraid is a type of peace, isn't it? We fear not being able to make enough money to pay bills, we fear losing a job or we are fearful of the road taken by a rebellious child. There is also the ultimate fear -- what lies beyond the grave? Answering that question can provide the ultimate peace, if one is certain of his or her destination.

People who work at the Institute for Peace undoubtedly have the best of motives. Preventing, or ending, conflict in the world is a worthy goal. Ending one conflict, though, doesn't produce peace. Sometimes warring tribes rekindle conflicts. The Middle East is an ongoing war of words with the constant threat of another war. Then there is North Korea and Iran and their threats to peace.

In Washington, political conflict is ongoing with both parties focused on achieving power, but having gained it, neither seems capable of doing much that benefits the country, preferring instead to put politics ahead of public service.

In the 1981 film "Chariots of Fire," Ian Charleson, who plays the Scottish runner Eric Liddell, is shown speaking to a crowd. He likens faith to a race: "You came to see a race today. To see someone win. It happened to be me. But I want you to do more than just watch a race. I want you to take part in it. I want to compare faith to running in a race. It's hard. It requires concentration of will, energy of soul. You experience elation when the winner breaks the tape, especially if you've got a bet on it. But how long does that last? You go home. Maybe your dinner's burnt. Maybe you haven't got a job. So who am I to say, 'Believe, have faith,' in the face of life's realities? I would like to give you something more permanent, but I can only point the way. I have no formula for winning the race. Everyone runs in her own way, or his own way. And where does the power come from, to see the race to its end? From within. Jesus said, 'Behold, the Kingdom of God is within you. If with all your hearts, you truly seek me, you shall ever surely find me.' If you commit yourself to the love of Christ, then that is how you run a straight race."

That's where real peace is found, at Christmas, or anytime. It is the ultimate gift.
