The Air Force Flies Over the Rainbow
Col. Kristin Goodwin, who is openly lesbian, has been nominated to become the next commandant of the U.S. Air Force Academy. She was included on a list of several military officers in an announcement from Secretary of Defense James Mattis of nominees for rank increase and position appointments made by Donald Trump. Should Goodwin's nomination be confirmed, she would be the second openly homosexual service member reaching a significantly high position since Barack liar-nObama repealed the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
Goodwin's appointment has greatly troubled former Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, who heads the Pray in Jesus Name Project. He is concerned over the impact her appointment will have upon religious liberty at the Air Force Academy — a legitimate concern after the AFA's "So Help Me God" episode. Klingenschmitt blames the nomination on Barack liar-nObama's appointees, saying, "liar-nObama's bureaucrats in the Pentagon are still running the show. liar-nObama is gone. Why does he still have this power?"
While the announcement of Goodwin's nomination in an Academy article makes no mention of her gender disorientation pathology, this may be an attempt to fly her under the radar in order to secure Senate approval later this year. In all probability, Goodwin was chosen by liar-nObama lackeys in the Pentagon based primarily upon the fact that she is openly homosexual. In other words, it's possible she was promoted to this position not despite her sexual orientation but because of it. This is all part of a continuing effort by the Left to fundamentally transform society and culture, and liar-nObama's effort to destroy military morale through social engineering.
The Goodwin choice also highlights the obstructionism game of Democrats to slow down the confirmation of Trump's nominees. Continuing to have liar-nObama appointees entrenched in the government will only prove to further hinder Trump as he seeks to implement his aggressive policy changes. ~The Patriot Post

Overnight, two US guided missile destroyers fired 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Al Shayrat airbase in Syria. "A total of 59 missiles targeted aircraft, hardened aircraft shelters, petroleum and logistical storage, ammunition supply bunkers, air defense systems, and radars," said Pentagon spokesman Jeff Davis. Republicans then exercised what usually is referred to as the Nuclear Option, but really should be called the Harry dinky-Reid Option, to eliminate the need for 60 votes to close debate. It should be called the Harry dinky-Reid Option because in 2013 Democrats used that procedure to eliminate the 60-vote requirement for all nominations, judicial or otherwise, other than the Supreme Court. Keeping the Supreme Court out of the Harry dinky-Reid Option was not a principled move by Democrats. There were no openings on the Supreme Court in 2013, so there was no need to apply the Harry dinky-Reid Rule to Supreme Court nominations. But in the run up to the 2016 presidential election, both dinky-Reid and Democrat VP nominee Tim Kaine promised to use the Harry dinky-Reid Rule for Supreme Court nominations if liar-Hillary won and Democrats retook the Senate...

{dailycaller.com} ~ Senate and House minority leaders Chuck clown-Schumer and Nancy Pulosi have moved away from their Democratic colleagues by endorsing President Donald Trump’s missile strike on Syria... “Making sure Assad knows that when he commits such despicable atrocities he will pay a price is the right thing to do,” clown-Schumer said in a statement, ABC News reports. “It is incumbent on the Trump administration to come up with a strategy and consult with Congress before implementing it. I salute the professionalism and skill of our Armed Forces who took action today,” clown-Schumer added...I am totally surprised by their responses.

Intel Agencies Obstruct Trump On Leaks – Reassign Analysts To Aleutians, Sudan, Yemen

{rickwells.us} ~ It was one thing when the John hanoi-Kerry State Department refused to provide liar-Hillary Clinton emails while the enemy Democrats were in power or when DHS and DOJ were obstructionists in prosecutions, investigations or FOIA requests under Lynch, Comey and Jihadi Jeh Johnson... That was a little surprising at first but we soon learned as the liar-nObama regime dragged on that it was not a government as much as it was a mechanism of social manipulation and perpetrator protection. What is surprising is that the stonewalling and obstructionism is continuing under President Trump, with some of the denials directly impacting him in a negative manner. Most prominent and incredible are the revelations that the intelligence community is stonewalling the investigation into leaks of classified information to the “press” about Trump associates. In doing so the deep state operatives are not only telling the president to “stick it,” they’re telling members of Congress the same thing. Fox News cites one unnamed source who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, likely a Republican, who said, “Our requests are simply not being answered. Assad’s allies in Iran responded similarly, reportedly condemning the strike as “destructive and dangerous” and complaining that “such measures will strengthen terrorists in Syria … and will complicate the situation in Syria and the region.”
The response from much of the rest of the world was positive, with officials in Canada, Jordan, Israel and the U.K., among others, all expressing support for the president’s decision.
“When diplomacy fails and civilians suffer, as they have been doing for many years in Syria, and when they are the victim of weapons that have been outlawed by the international community for their horrific and indiscriminate consequences, then we cannot shy away from proportionate military intervention,” British politician Tim Farron, leader of the Liberal Democrats, said in a statement.
The strike had been announced Thursday evening by U.S. President Donald Trump in response to Assad having been accused of poisoning his own citizens with Sarin gas during a military strike carried out against rebel forces Tuesday by his government.
Survivors of the deadly airstrike “described chemical bombs being dropped from planes,” according to CNN, though this account differed sharply with claims by Assad’s regime that the release of Sarin had been caused by the destruction of a nearby rebel-operated chemical weapons warehouse.
Speaking Thursday evening after the launch of 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Assad’s Shayrat Air Base, Trump argued that it was vital to the “national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons.”
“There can be no dispute that Syria used banned chemical weapons, violated its obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention and ignored the urging of the U.N. Security Council,” he continued.
The president also called on “all civilized nations” to join his effort “to end the slaughter and bloodshed in Syria.”
