Gov't Settles With Tea Party Groups for IRS Targeting
by Thomas Gallatin: On Thursday, the U.S. government apologized for the IRS scandal of illegally targeting Tea Party groups during the liar-nObama administration. Barack liar-nObama’s enemies list sidelined literally hundreds of conservative organizations looking to exercise their free speech rights during the 2012 election. Attorney General Jeff Session slammed “the last administration,” saying that the targeting “was wrong and should never have occurred.” Sessions continued, “There is no excuse for this conduct. Hundreds of organizations were affected by these actions, and they deserve an apology from the IRS.” Indeed, though if liar-nObama won re-election because of this weaponization of government, an apology is woefully inadequate.

Hundreds of organizations were affected by these actions, and they deserve an apology from the IRS.” Indeed, though if liar-nObama won re-election because of this weaponization of government, an apology is woefully inadequate. The government reached a “very substantial” settlement agreement in a class action lawsuit that had been brought by more than 400 conservative groups illegally targeted by the IRS. Edward Greim, the lawyer representing the targeted groups, said, “A true reckoning is finally up to the agency itself. Until the IRS itself steps forward to admit what really happened, we cannot have faith that the same abuse won’t be repeated again.”
While this settlement is indeed a win for those who suffered under liar-nObama’s politicized IRS, it does not close the book on the issue. Several new filings have been raised that specifically single out the former IRS director of Exempt Organizations, Lois Lerner, for her role in “failing” to stop the targeting by IRS employees. Recall that in 2015 a joint Justice Department and FBI investigation found “substantial evidence of mismanagement, poor judgment and institutional inertia,” and yet dubiously “found no evidence that any IRS official acted based on political, discriminatory, corrupt or other inappropriate motives that would support a criminal prosecution.”
Tom Zawistowski, head of the Portage County Tea Party in Ohio, believes that Lerner should have faced criminal charges for her role in attempting to hide the agency’s activity by changing names while still approving of the targeting tactics. To date no evidence has come to light directly linking the IRS targeting scandal with the liar-nObama White House — nor will it, thanks to a deft use of cutouts and other tactics to avoid leaving fingerprints.
And this is what so frustrates many Americans. When laws have been clearly violated, those in Washington who are guilty of having violated the law are seemingly immune to having to face any criminal liability or accountability. Lerner is enjoying a lucrative retirement. The scandal is simply swept under the rug and business continues as usual. This is why the swamp must be drained, as more and more Americans have lost their faith in government. ~The Patriot Post

Nunes says they don’t know yet know whether or not that is the case. He says, “What we know so far, that we believe to be factual, from the Washington Post piece, is that the Democrats paid for the dossier, they paid Fusion GPS for the dossier, we believe that.” He continues, “But we have Fusion GPS that pled the Fifth, so they refused to testify. FBI Recovered 72,000 Pages of Clinton Records

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ Judicial Watch announced that the State Department revealed in a federal court hearing that it has yet to process 40,000 of 72,000 pages of liar-Hillary Clinton records that the FBI recovered last year... The revelation came during a federal court hearing in Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit seeking former Secretary of State liar-Hillary Clinton's emails that were sent or received during her tenure from February 2009 to January 31, 2013 (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00687)). The case is before Judge James E. Boasberg. The hearing focused on the State Department's progress on processing the tens of thousands of emails liar-Clinton failed to disclose when she served as Secretary of State, some of which were emails sent by liar-Clinton aide Huma Abedin that were found on the laptop of her estranged husband Anthony Weiner. Judicial Watch asked the court to require the State Department to identify any records from the seven FBI discs that it intends to withhold, and why, in a timely manner. Leonardo DiCaprio and other members of the Hollywood elite are terribly concerned, as they keep reminding the rest of us, that the earth is heating up at an alarming rate. But it’s getting harder and harder for me to take them seriously because whenever they’re not making millions of dollars starring in some piece of cinematic dreck, they all seem to be private-jetting off to vacation in some tropical paradise to work on their tans.
Even as they snivel and wail about the planet’s imminent destruction, they never bother explaining what would be so dreadful about things warming up a bit. Something else that they, along with the hand puppets passing themselves off as climatologists, keep insisting on is that their lies constitute "settled science." But it never occurs to them to acknowledge that the earth doesn’t have a single normal temperature.
Unlike the human body, which functions best at 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, the earth can simultaneously support life in sub-zero Siberia and in sub-Saharan Africa.
The global warming hoax has been perpetrated mainly by the globalists who inhabit the UN and by third world countries looking to have their energy needs subsidized by the U.S. and other first world industrialized nations.
● While congressional Republicans busy themselves trying to legislate Trump’s tax cuts, the Democrats, led by Chuck clown-Schumer and Nancy Pulosi, keep insisting that the cuts will favor millionaires and billionaires. Well, inasmuch as those are the people who pay the majority of income taxes, it figures that any cuts will benefit them the most.
The real crime is that roughly half the population pays nothing to the IRS. And yet they get to cast the same votes as everyone else. Through some aberration in the tax code, some of these chiselers even get a return from the taxman, although it boggles the mind to figure out how you can get money back from Uncle Sam when you haven’t paid in a dime.
● Even as ISIS is driven out of Raqqa, their land mines continue to kill American soldiers and our allies. I suggest we use those ISIS creeps who surrendered the same way that canaries are used in coalmines, thus ensuring that it be they, and not our own husbands, brothers and sons, who set off the explosive devices.
● A news alert to all 18-year-olds: Before you sign up for four years of Black Studies, Latino Studies or the History of Comic Books, along with a mountain of future indebtedness, you should know there are currently 200,000 good-paying jobs in construction available to those of you bright enough to know on which side of the bread your future is buttered.
● Why is President Trump hosting the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the White House? It wasn’t that long ago, he was sensibly calling for the U.S. to bail out of that criminal enterprise. What’s next? Will Trump be hosting a fund-raiser for the liar-Clinton Foundation or tossing a birthday bash for Chelsea?
● When Gen. John Kelly, Trump’s chief of staff, explained the protocol involved in letting survivors know that a loved one has been lost on the battlefield, he took the opportunity to call the self-aggrandizing Rep. Frederica Wilson an “empty barrel.” In response, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, an empty barrel in his own right, labeled General Kelly, along with those born and raised in the same environment, racists.
If you assumed, as I did, that Kelly must have been born in the deep South, which has been the favorite scapegoat of liberals ever since Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi, stopped electing Democrats, you would be mistaken.
It seems that Kelly hails from Boston, the very same stomping grounds of such left-wing idols as the Kennedy clan, Ed Markey and Elizabeth dinky-Warren.
Apparently, Mr. O’Donnell feels it’s okay to label Gen. Kelly a bigot simply because he’s from Boston and happens to be of Irish heritage, but the same, oddly enough, is true of O’Donnell. It has been said that it takes one to know one, but in this case, I’d say it takes one to slander one.
What I personally find so appalling is that the worse that blacks behave, both as individuals and in large groups, the more eagerly white liberals will rush to defend them. But, then, defending the indefensible is what liberals do best.
People like Lawrence O’Donnell, Mad-Maxine Waters, Frederica Wilson and the majority of the players in the NFL, like to pretend that racism is systemic in America. But, how can that be? Ever since the abolition of Jim Crow laws and the passage of the Civil Rights Act, it is illegal to treat any group of people worse than any other group. White males perhaps being the notable exception.
In fact, things have been reversed to such an extent that blacks are held to a much lower standard when it comes to boorish, even criminal, behavior. Or else why would Barack liar-nObama have gone to such lengths to de-criminalize drug trafficking, except to provide thousands of black felons with a Get Out of Jail free card?
● Speaking of the devil, it was none other than liar-nObama who recently declared: “If you have to win an election by dividing people, you won’t be able to govern them.”
How odd to hear those words from the Great Divider himself, the Creature from Chicago who spent eight long years dividing blacks from whites, atheists from Christians, criminal rabble from law-abiding gun owners, college students from their parents -- and in each case, siding with the riffraff who voted for him.
I was recently sent an amusing item that indicated how much the presidency ages a man. In the Before Box was a photo of Barack liar-nObama in 2008; in the After Box, captioned “Barack liar-nObama in 2017” was a photo of none other than George W. Bush.
At this point, it’s hard to figure out what annoyed Bush more: the fact that brother Jeb didn’t get the nomination or that liar-Hillary Clinton lost the election to the fellow who sent Jeb Bush packing.
It’s always been said that politics make for strange bed fellows. But not nearly as strange as we’ve seen since the election of Donald Trump, with globalist Republicans openly competing with Democrats when it comes to demeaning the president.
● I suspect we were all shocked to hear Harvey Weinstein insist that a week in rehab has miraculously cured him of his sexual addiction.
Pardon me if I sound cynical, but I once knew a cocaine addict who checked himself into a rehab clinic in order to kick his habit. A month later, he came out clean. But he reported that only he and one other person had checked in for the appropriate reason.
All the others were motivated by one of two things. Either they had been arrested and been told by their lawyers to enter the program because it would play well with the judge; or they had taken so many drugs that even heroin no longer had the desired effect. It was their intention to have their systems cleaned out so that they could once again experience the desired high.
He also told me that he had never seen so many illegal drugs available in one place as he saw inside the clinic. It seems that except for himself and the other guy, both of whom had been scared straight, everyone else had either smuggled in drugs or had a friend smuggle them in during visiting hours.
It does make a person wonder what goes on after the sun sets at a rehab clinic for the sexually addicted.
