In her first interview on national television news since she announced her candidacy, Hilly Clinton told CNN Tuesday, "I think it's kind of fun" that she's releasing 50,000 pages of her emails. When interviewer Brianna Keilar pressed Clinton about Congress' subpoena of her emails, Clinton responded by attacking the reporter and catching herself before she gave us a really juicy quote: "You're starting with so many assumptions that are — I've never had a subpoena. There is no — Again, let's take a deep breath here. Everything I did was permitted by law and regulation" There are two lies right there. In response to the interview, Benghazi Chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy wrote, "[S]he was personally subpoenaed the moment the Benghazi Committee became aware of her exclusive use of personal email and a server, and that the State department was not the custodian of her official record. For more than two years, Clinton never availed herself of the opportunity, even in response to a direct congressional inquiry, to inform the public of her unusual email arrangement designed to evade public transparency." "GOP has knives out for school lunch rules," headlines The Hill. "First lady Michelle nObama's signature school lunch regulations are ... a pillar of the first lady's initiative to curb childhood obesity in the United States," The Hill informs us. And who could be against healthy kids? Or the first lady? Evil Republicans, that's who. Never mind that top-down regulation virtually never works, or that kids universally hate the new lunches to the point that schools are dropping them and/or demanding changes. The bottom line is that the 2010 Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act (HHFKA) expires on Sept. 30, and Republicans are holding hearings to determine if it's worth more than the $3 billion already spent to dump unwanted food in the trash. In 2014, Michelle lectured, "The last thing that we can afford to do right now is play politics with our kids' health." But playing politics is the name of the game. Hackers Stole Data on 8% of U.S. Population From OPM
The data breach at the Office of Personnel Management feels like some kind of twisted auction. In early June, it was the data of four million federal employees. Any higher? Hey, it's the middle of June and the number has risen to 14 million and the applications of everyone seeking a security clearance. Going, going… Wait, OPM announced Thursday there was a second hack affecting 21.5 million Americans who worked for the government, contracted with the government, or were married to or friends with someone who was. Not only were Social Security numbers, names and birthdates taken, the hackers (probably from China) have addresses, mental health history, some financial records and fingerprints of a significant percentage of the American population. The breach extends to people like FBI Director James Comey, who admitted he, too, had his data stolen in the breach. OPM said taxpayers would foot the bill for three years of identity-theft protection from a private company for those affected. But for lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, it's not enough. In a statement, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) said he wanted OPM Director (and former National Political Director for nObama's campaign) Katherine Archuleta gone. "The technological and security failures at the Office of Personnel Management predate this director's term," Warner said, "but Director Archuleta's slow and uneven response has not inspired confidence that she is the right person to manage OPM through this crisis." -The Patriot Post

She’s been collecting a paycheck from the VA Inspector General’s Office since 1992, while the deadly problems festered. President nObama seems to like that approach. On July 2 in Wisconsin, whistleblower Ryan Honl – a Gulf War veteran – urged nObama to appoint an independent inspector general: “If they just pick someone new from inside the agency, it will be business as usual and the problems will continue.” But nObama brushed him off, saying VA Secretary Robert McDonald “had it covered.” Sorry. FBI data backs up Trump claims on illegals and crime
{Aaron Klein} ~ Largely unreported data published by the FBI appears to back up Donald Trump’s contentions regarding illegal aliens from Mexico committing drug and violent crime offenses in the U.S...
According to the FBI, criminal gangs – in some regions comprised significantly of illegal aliens – are wreaking havoc in the U.S., with 65 jurisdictions nationwide reporting gang-related offenses committed with firearms account for at least 95 percent of crime in those areas. China’s miracle is over — now comes the nightmare
{Michael Auslin} ~ China’s stock market meltdown isn’t the end of the Chinese miracle — that already happened... Instead, the 30 percent plunge in stock prices in just a month — wiping out $3 trillion worth of wealth — is just more evidence that China’s high-flying days are over. The big question is whether the Communist government can contain the stock collapse, focus on needed economic reforms and, most of all, maintain the confidence of the Chinese people. The panic seems to be spreading, as worldwide commodity prices have fallen, thereby causing a drop in the value of the yuan. These newbie investors are the ones getting wiped out, and are fleeing the market to cut their losses, thereby driving it down further. However, the broader lack of confidence in the government’s ability to control the rout means that longtime investors are also pulling out, worsening the cycle. All this is part of a bigger problem: the end of China’s economic miracle.

"It has to do, I think, with the peculiarity of the Clinton situation. It had partly to do with the history of Bill Clinton and women in which she's had to defend him. {Jim Emerson} ~ nObama’s plan to raise and train an army of Syrian rebels to take on ISIS has become yet another strategic foreign policy embarrassment, this one costing American taxpayers $500 million... Only 50 Syrian fighters volunteered to receive training from the US Army, far short of an effective force to fight ISIS. The initial plan was to train 5,400 troops. Most likely the Syrian rebels are well aware of nObama’s previous actions in the Middle East, but since Iran has sided with the Assad regime, who is going to protect them and their families once the Iranians get the bomb? Secretary of Defense Ash Carter pointed out that the figure was small in the early stages of the program with just 60 soldiers making it through the vetting process. After all, the Regime doesn’t want to repeat the mistake of training Syrian Rebels to overthrow Al-Assad only to wind up creating ISIS! Besides, nObama feels more comfortable training the Muslim Brotherhood supported rebels. He knows them to be friends already, given his longtime association with that particular terrorist organization.

A couple of weeks ago Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) was on Up with Steve Kornacki on MSNBC when she argued that the First Amendment really only applies to “institutions of faith.”... This is simply not true. At the very least it’s a horribly bad understanding of the First Amendment, and at the worst she’s another fascist Democrat who simply wants to force conservatives to act in a manner deemed appropriate by liberal culture warriors. I’d argue that she can’t be stupid enough to read the First Amendment and somehow come up with this notion that it doesn’t extend far beyond the house of worship. Elibiary is now working to promote the conversion of Texas into a Muslim state and who knows what else. Miles was not only the NAACP president; he also had a good job in public transportation. The Star Press reported that on Wednesday, Assistant Director of Transportation forMuncie Indiana Transit System, MITS, Timothy Wade Miles, 49, was arrested on charges of selling cocaine to an informant. To make matters worse, Miles was in a company vehicle at the time of the transaction and subsequent arrest. It was the third setup sale that Miles fell for under a sting conducted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Unit.

{Times of Israel Staff} ~ A deal has been reached between the world powers and Iran over the latter’s nuclear program after a series of major American concessions, Ehud Yaari, the Middle East affairs commentator for Israel’s Channel 2 television, said Friday night... “It is done. It is done,” he said, and will be signed “early next week.” The aim of the agreement is to put a negotiated end to a 13-year standoff with Iran over its suspect nuclear program and to block its pathway to developing a nuclear bomb in exchange for lifting biting global sanctions. Israel’s leadership has relentlessly opposed the emerging agreement, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warning that it will pave Iran’s path to a nuclear arsenal.
