ISIS No. 2 killed in US special ops raid, officials say
.
Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli
.
{foxnews.com} ~ A U.S. special operations team killed the Islamic State’s second-in-command in a pre-dawn raid early Thursday morning inside Syria... senior defense officials said Friday -- as Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced the U.S. has taken out several key terrorists in recent days. "We are systematically eliminating ISIL's cabinet," Carter said. Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli, also known as Abu Ala al-Afri, had a $7 million bounty on his head by the U.S. government. Carter, speaking alongside Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford, Jr., confirmed the death at a press conference Friday without going into the details of the operation...        http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/03/25/official-carter-to-annou...

The Terror Threat To Europe Is America's, Too
Abigail R. Esman
.
.
{investigativeproject.org} ~ Some weeks after the attacks of 9/11, a Dutch journalist spoke at a panel discussion in Amsterdam, describing his experience of the events...  Faced with the task of writing up what had occurred in New York that day – the devastation, the terror, the unanswered questions that remained – he said he found himself completely overwhelmed. And then at a certain point, he recalled, clarity came. "I realized it was just about America," he said. "It had nothing to do with me." I've told this story before, and likely will many times again, but it came to me as I read an op-ed by Daniel Benjamin in response to Tuesday's terrorist attacks in Brussels. Benjamin served as the State Department's counterterrorism coordinator from 2009-12. What happened in Brussels, he essentially declares, is really just about Europe. It has nothing to do with us. And it can't happen here. I respectfully, but emphatically, disagree. To be sure, Benjamin makes some important points. The background and immigration history of most European Muslims is not the same as that of Americans. Europe's Muslims largely arrived as guest workers in the 1960s and 70s from rural areas of the Middle East and North Africa mostly Turkey, Algeria and Morocco. They were not educated; many were even illiterate. Because they were not expected to stay, their host countries did little to help them integrate, including teaching them the language...        http://www.investigativeproject.org/5237/the-terror-threat-to-europ...

Deceit and Power May Protect
Clinton from Prosecution

{washingtonpost.com} ~ In politics, it is said that you can fool some of the people all of the time and you can fool all of the people some of the time... In other words, liars have pretty good odds. The smoking guns keep piling up at Hilly Clinton’s feet, but nothing seems to trip her. Yesterday, Judicial Watch released a batch of documents, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, that it says reveals blatant coordination between then-Secretary of State Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. Stunningly, the internal State Department emails expose Clinton’s eagerness to “thank Clinton Foundation supporters for their commitments.” Of course, these “commitments” must mean money. It’s incredible. And, Clinton’s State Department was apparently coordinating meetings for Bill Clinton with foreign heads of state. If any other employee at the State Department had arranged such meetings for their spouse and actively thanked contributors to their spouse’s foundation, they would likely go to jail. No lawyer would even let it go to trial, because the sentencing guidelines would guarantee years behind bars. Another way to think about what was going on is to imagine that another country’s foreign minister’s spouse or family ran a foundation that American companies were caught giving to...        https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/03/23/de...

Did nObama Just Reveal His True Thoughts On Islam?
Lt. Colonel James G. Zumwalt, USMC (Ret.)
.
.
{aim.org} ~ The real-life Kenda narrates cases as a young actor portrays him in re-enactments. Kenda’s dead-pan narration has popularized the phrase he often uses, “Well, my, my, my…” whenever a new piece of evidence suddenly leads to a suspect. Confident of this new lead, Kenda finishes with, “you are the guy I’m looking for, aren’t you?” The first part of the Kenda phrase immediately came to mind earlier this month when President Barack nObama said something in an interview, bringing into question a party line to which he has adhered his entire time in office. Why, into his eighth and final year in office, would he suddenly offer up a statement making that party line suspect? To better understand nObama’s “Aha” Kenda moment, we need re-visit his party line about Islam..."      http://www.aim.org/guest-column/did-obama-just-reveal-his-true-thou...

Hilly Clinton’s Continuing Lack of Interest in Cover-up
of Vince Foster’s Murder
Hugh Turley
.
.
{aim.org} ~ Since the Clintons left office nearly 15 years ago, there has been little interest in the Vince Foster case, but Whitewater grand jury witness Patrick Knowlton and I continued our research at the National Archives uncovering evidence of the Foster murder cover-up... Internal documents from the office of Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr confirm FBI agents and others undermined the Vince Foster death investigation. Accuracy in Media had been following the Foster investigation in the 1990s, and Reed Irvine suspected investigators had no evidence that Foster’s car was at Fort Marcy Park when he was already dead. As Hilly Clinton moves closer to securing the Democratic Party nomination for president, her critics and supporters might wonder why she has no apparent interest in the ongoing cover-up of the murder of her close friend and confidant. The day after Foster died, Hilly had lunch at her mother’s home in Arkansas with James Rutherford III, a friend and associate of Foster and the Clintons and dean of the Clinton School in Arkansas, and he told the FBI, “Hilly Clinton was in complete shock and disbelief at the thought of Foster committing suicide.” And she wasn’t alone. What changed her mind? Twenty-nine year old Brett Kavanaugh replaced Miguel Rodriguez when he resigned from Kenneth Starr’s Office of Independent Counsel. Associate Independent Counsel Rodriguez, an experienced prosecutor, thought he “was scoring big points” for Ken Starr investigating the death of Vince Foster, President Bill Clinton’s deputy White House counsel. Rodriguez’s assistant Lucia Rambush thought they “would be getting pats on the back” for uncovering evidence Foster had been murdered. Instead, according to Deputy Independent Counsel Hickman Ewing’s notes, Rodriguez said that Deputy Independent Counsel Mark Tuohey “cancelled everything he was doing” and “undermined everything he had done.”...        http://www.aim.org/aim-column/hillary-clintons-continuing-lack-of-i...

What's the Real Agenda Behind
Climate-change Alarmism?
Christian Gomez
.
.
{thenewamerican.com} ~ The world leaders and activists who attended the UN Climate Summit in Paris last December are all about saving the world, saving the environment, right? That’s the standard narrative, isn’t it?... Well, critics, ourselves included, have insisted that the UN climate agenda is really about power and wealth. More precisely, it is about getting the power to redistribute global wealth — through carbon taxes, carbon pricing, carbon trading, and carbon regulation, etc. But don’t take our word for it; the top climateers have said so themselves. Take, for instance, Dr. Ottmar Edenhoefer — not exactly a household name in America, however, Dr. Edenhofer is a big name in climate policy circles. He says, “We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy.”... http://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/environment/item/22841-what-s-th...

EPA Boss: Coal Regulations Are About
the Politics of Power
C. Mitchell Shaw
.
.
{thenewamerican.com} ~ In a classic case of exercising power for the sake of power, Gina McCarthy, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), admitted that the real reason for EPA regulations is “showing sort of domestic leadership as well as garnering support around the country for the agreement we reached in Paris.”... Her admission against interest was made during testimony before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Tuesday. When grilled by Representative David McKinley (R-W.V.), about EPA regulations that are crippling the coal industry, McCarthy did not dispute the charge that the regulations will have no measurable effect on “global warming.” Instead, she said that the “benefit” of the regulations is in flexing federal muscle over industry. McKinley began by saying that since other countries — notably China and India — are increasing their use of coal, “the world is not following our leadership.” He added that he had asked McCarthy about this issue “two or three years ago,” and reminded her that, “you were going to get back to me and I never heard back from you.” He reiterated his question from then... http://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/energy/item/22848-epa-boss-coal-...

Idaho takes Steps to Eradicate Encroaching
Sharia Influences
Alice Greene
.
.
{punchingbagpost.com} ~ As President nObama continues to resettle Muslims in American cities, the state of Idaho is pushing a bill that would prohibit Sharia law or any other foreign statutes from influencing the state’s courts... I don’t blame them for worrying. Just last week, Secretary of State John hanoi-Kerry termed the Islamic State’s actions against Christians “genocide.” Sharia law is the legal framework ISIS chooses to follow. Idaho lawmakers are considering the bill despite criticism in 2015 when they refused an international treaty that would have made it easier for single moms and dads to collect child support. The measure was meant to align Idaho’s laws on child support with those outlined in federal statutes, but Republicans were suspicious about potential Sharia influences in future child support cases. Under mounting pressure, Idaho lawmakers decided to reverse the decision with a special session that ended up costing taxpayers thousands of dollars...       http://punchingbagpost.com/idaho-takes-steps-to-eradicate-encroachi...

The Hilly Email-Server IT Scandal Just
Took a Bizarre Twist
ED MORRISSEY
.
.
{hotair.com} ~ How did Bryan Pagliano, the tech who ran Hilly Clinton’s campaign IT efforts, end up with a political appointment to the State Department’s normally a political IT group?... According to Reuters, no one who worked with Pagliano ever found out, nor did they know of his moonlighting as the man who maintained Hilly’s personal e-mail server. Those arrangements were made by a very familiar figure in the murky world of Hilly’s State Department — Patrick Kennedy, who oversaw security issues for State, including the security decisions that left the consulate in Benghazi fatally exposed. Isn’t it amazing just how often Patrick Kennedy ends up in the middle of these stories? Let’s not forget that the Accountability Review Board, assembled by State immediately after Benghazi, never bothered to interview Hilly or Kennedy while laying blame for the whole mess on lower-level career staffers at State. The two seem to be quite a pair when it comes to security — and lack thereof — at the State Department. Perhaps that’s one of the questions that the FBI is asking Pagliano, now that the Department of Justice has granted him immunity. Another might be whether Hilly lied about the timeline of the use of her secret e-mail server...        http://hotair.com/archives/2016/03/25/reuters-state-dept-managers-b...

Michigan Education Board Secretly Keeping
Parents Out of Gender Decisions for Children
Trey Sanchez
.
.
{truthrevolt.org} ~ On February 23rd, the Michigan State Board of Education quietly without a press release issued guidelines to public schools... that instructed teachers to allow students to choose their own gender and which bathroom to use all without parental involvement. The department's website published its "Statement and Guidance on Safe and Supportive Learning Environments for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) Students" online and are allowing a month of public comments (March 12 - May 11) that will be "reviewed and considered" before the final version is drafted. Michigan Republicans are calling the move "social engineering," according to Detroit News. In retaliation, the state House pulled all travel and per-diem funding for the board of education to send "a message" to the majority-Democrat members...        http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/michigan-education-board-secretly-k...

Hilly's convenient evolution on Israel
Eli Lake
.
.
{jewishworldreview.com} ~ An hour after Hilly Clinton delivered a stem-winder at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's annual conference, Republicans issued a statement denouncing her as a phony.
.
According to the Republican National Committee chairman, Reince Priebus, the speech was a "whitewash" of her anti-Israel record as secretary of state.
.
It's easy to understand why Republicans would be so quick to pounce. A large majority of Americans tell pollsters -- year after year -- that they're on Israel's side. So attacking the Democrats as being weak on the Jewish state is good politics.
.
There's more to it than just that.
.
The party must feel compelled to speak out against Clinton on Israel, because at least rhetorically she has been more pro-Israel than the Republican frontrunner, Donald slump-Trump. Clinton says she would never be neutral when it comes to Israel's security. slump-Trump has said he would be neutral in his pursuit of a negotiated settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
.
Clinton has touted her friendship with an Israeli-American donor, Haim Saban. slump-Trump famously told the Republican Jewish Coalition last year that he didn't need the group's money.
.
Clinton is fluent in the wonkish language of modern Zionism. She opposes BDS, or the "boycott, divest and sanction" movement in vogue these days on college campuses. slump-Trump never gets this specific.
.
But the main reason Republicans attack Clinton on Israel is because their party expected to be the beneficiary of President Barack nObama's own policy of publicly distancing America from Israel on issues like settlements, Iran and other matters of Middle East security. After all, Clinton was nObama's secretary of state in his first term. She began the negotiations -- at first kept from Israel -- that led to the nuclear deal with Iran. Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Aipac itself lobbied against that deal last year.
.
"She delivered a shrewd speech, managing to position herself as a pro-Israel stalwart despite a record of supporting the Iran deal, helping nObama distance the U.S. from Israel, and taking point on many of the administration's attacks on Netanyahu," said Noah Pollak, the executive director of the Emergency Committee for Israel, a group that has criticized nObama's Middle East policies.
.
The Republican Party certainly does not have a lock on the pro-Israel vote. For years Democrats were the more pro-Israel party. It was Democratic President Harry Truman who overruled his secretary of state and made the U.S. the first country to recognize Israel as a nation-state, in 1948.
.
Truman's successor, the Republican Dwight Eisenhower, on the other hand, pressured Israel to withdraw forces from Egypt in 1956 during the Suez crisis.
.
Even the Republican hero Ronald Reagan's State Department condemned Israel for bombing Iraq's nuclear reactor at Osirak in 1981 though privately he brushed off the incident, telling aides, "Boys will be boys".
.
Reagan's Republican successor, George H.W. Bush, threatened to suspend loan guarantees to Israel, part of an effort to pressure its government to participate in the Madrid peace conference, following the 1991 Gulf War.
.
President Bill Clinton, a Democrat, got further than any other president in trying to negotiate peace between Israel and the Palestinians, but at the end of his presidency, he too blamed the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for failing to seize the opportunity for a two-state solution.
.
The next president , George W. Bush, picked up where Clinton left off. Although Bush eventually sought to restart the peace process with Israel and was the first president to call publicly for a Palestinian state, he also sided unconditionally with Israel during the second Intifadah and demanded Palestinians replace Arafat with a leader "uncompromised by terror."
.
Under the presidency of George W. Bush, politics also began to change.
.
The landscape had changed by the time nObama came into office. During Israel's early years, most progressives supported the Jewish State as the underdog, as a state that embraced socialist ideals that provided a safe haven for Jews in the shadow of the Holocaust.
.
Meanwhile the threat from Israel's traditional enemies in the Arab world had subsided. The Jewish state was no longer an underdog for the left, but rather --- in the words of the son of one of Hilly Clinton's advisers, a "Goliath."
.
While nObama never went as far as the academic left in demonizing Israel, he was happy to publicly chide Netanyahu and warn Israelis that they were on the path to becoming a pariah if the occupation of Palestinian territory continued indefinitely.
.
These stark warnings were missing from Hilly Clinton's speech Monday to Aipac. She expressed her desire for a two-state solution, and she warned against "damaging actions, including with respect to settlements." But she also pledged to oppose any efforts by the United Nations or other parties to impose a two-state solution on the parties. She was also more specific in her condemnation of the Palestinians. "Terrorism should never be encouraged or celebrated, and children should not be taught to hate in schools. That poisons the future," she said.
.
Clinton didn't say this sort of thing when she was secretary of state. She emphasized how the two-state solution was important to both Palestinians and Israelis.
.
In a speech in 2010 before the American Task Force on Palestine, Clinton spoke about "the indignity of occupation," and the "right of Palestinians to chart their own destinies."
.
Clinton as secretary of state appeared to be neutral on the conflict that has vexed Israel since its founding. She supported a peace deal for the sake of both sides.
.
As she runs for president in 2016, though, Clinton chides slump-Trump for promising this same kind of neutrality. No wonder Republicans are hoping pro-Israel voters will question her sincerity in November.

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
