The Hondurans are told in their home country that they will be allowed to stay, according to what they told Bartiromo. There have been more apprehensions this year to date than all of last year. The gunman walked into the suburban San Diego synagogue late Saturday morning, the last day of the week-long Jewish holiday of Passover, and opened fire with an assault-style rifle, killing one woman inside and wounding three others, including the rabbi, authorities said. He then sped away in a car, escaping an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent who shot at the getaway vehicle but missed the suspect, but the suspect pulled over and surrendered to police officers a short time later. The suspect was later identified as John Earnest, 19, of San Diego, the apparent author of a "manifesto" who claimed to have set a nearby mosque on fire last month and professed drawing inspiration from the gunman who killed nearly 50 people at two mosques in New Zealand. San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said police and FBI were investigating Earnest's "possible involvement" in the March 24 pre-dawn arson fire at the Islamic Center of Escondido, a town about 15 miles (24 km) north of Poway. No one was hurt at the mosque fire. Susana Martinez said the southern region of the state is running out of room in local communities to take in tens of thousands of migrants who are being released from federal custody each month. At one point, they have to bus them to other locations that can absorb them. It just is impossible," Martinez said. Griffin vowed to "push very hard" against migrants being relocated and released in Otero County, which is home to about 65,000 people. He said the commission is planning to vote on a resolution that would block people who illegally crossed from Mexico to the United States from being bused from El Paso to his county. Political Editors:  While the Leftmedia regularly asserts that President Donald Trump’s “America First” rhetoric is damaging to Hispanics, the reality on the ground is just the opposite. Recent surveys show that for the third consecutive year, Hispanic income growth and workplace participation have increased steadily. In other words, like the rest of the country, economic trends for Hispanic Americans are better under Trump.

The Hispanic Wealth Project projects that within the next five years, Hispanic median income will triple. Here are a few more positive trends from the report:

  • For the fourth consecutive year, Hispanics increased their rate of home ownership, reaching a rate of 47.1%. In 2018, Latinos added 362,000 homeowners, which is the highest number added for Latinos since 2005.

  • In 2017, Hispanics saw their third consecutive year of income growth and the highest of any demographic.

  • Between 2016 and 2017, Hispanics increased their real median income by 3.7%. Latino families making an annual income over $200,000 increased from 2.1% in 2011 to 3.8% in 2017.

  • Poverty rates reached a historic low for Latinos. In tandem with median-income growth, Hispanics have lowered their poverty rate for three consecutive years. With a poverty rate of 18.3% in 2017, Hispanics reached their lowest level since poverty estimates for Hispanics were first published by the U.S. Census Bureau in 1972.

  • Latinos have a significantly higher labor-participation rate than that of the general population, at 66.1% compared to 62.9%. The Hispanic unemployment rate fell by more than seven percentage points between 2009 and 2018, from 12.1% to 4.7%.

If these trends continue as projected, Democrats may have a tough time convincing Hispanic Americans to vote against el presidente malo in 2020.  ~The Patriot Post
