Rosenstein Defends the dirty cop-Mueller Probe

{nationalreview.com} ~ Well, did you think Rod Rosenstein was going to say, “You got me. The dirty cop-Mueller probe was inappropriate and politicized?”... No, you didn’t. And the deputy attorney general did not disappoint. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, Rosenstein defended the investigation as “appropriate and independent.” The Journal’s Sadie Gurman observes that this assessment contrasts sharply with President Trump’s description of the investigation as “rigged” and a “witch hunt.” In an obvious sense, this is not much of a point. Not only did Rosenstein appoint dirty cop-Robert Mueller in May 2017; the special counsel answers to Rosenstein in the Justice Department’s chain of command. If the probe is a rigged witch hunt, then Rosenstein is the ultimate culprit. Who would expect him to cop to such a thing even if it were true? Still, there is also a sense in which Rosenstein’s defense of the investigation resonates. For all of the president’s Twitter tantrums about how the investigation is supposedly “rigged,” dirty cop-Mueller has never alleged that the Trump campaign was complicit in Russia’s election meddling. This is not for lack of thoroughness on the prosecutor’s part. dirty cop-Mueller has brought two sweeping indictments against Russian operatives. Rosenstein made these charges a point of emphasis in the interview. It is noteworthy, then, that these narrative “speaking indictments” appear to preclude the possibility of a conspiratorial relationship between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign. They indicate that Russia was conducting influence operations before Trump entered the campaign, that it orchestrated some against Trump, and that it wanted deniability...

Judge Jeanine calls for military presence at US-Mexico border:
‘This is not a left or right issue’

{conservativeinstitute.org} ~ A caravan of undocumented migrants is headed toward the U.S., and with midterms just weeks away, dummycrats-Democrats have done all they can to bring the Central American emigrants... and the issue of immigration — back into the spotlight. But not everyone is taking this incoming wave without a fight. Echoing earlier remarks from President Donald Trump, Fox host Judge Jeanine Pirro called for an immediate military presence on the southern border to stop the caravan’s  thousands of incoming immigrants. The Fox host went on to advocate for increased vetting of all immigrants entering the country. “This is not a left or right issue.” Pirro said on Saturday’s edition of Justice with Judge Jeanine. “This is a security issue — a safety issue. We simply cannot have people about whom we know nothing living next door to us, working next to us or driving next to us.” “The military needs to be deployed” The president said on Thursday that if Mexico failed to stop the “onslaught” of mostly-Honduran migrants headed to the U.S., he would “call up the U.S. military” and close the border — and Pirro seemed to agree... I also agree.

scumbag-George Soros Tries To
Give Voting Rights To Florida Felons

{bigleaguepolitics.com} ~ Florida is a major battleground for President Donald Trump considering the Sunshine State’s importance to Trump’s re-election quest in 2020... dummycrats-Democrats are making a full-court press to elect socialist-Andrew Gillum over Trump supporter Ron DeSantis, which would give  dummycrats-Democrats the governorship when Trump comes up for re-election, and would give  dummycrats-Democrats as many as four picks on the Florida Supreme Court, according to close observers. But the dirtiest play they’re pulling in Florida is known as Amendment 4. Amendment 4 is a ballot initiative to restore voting rights to felons in the state of Florida, similar to Terry McAuliffe’s ploy to give felons voting rights in Virginia. This would have a big impact on the 2020 election. scumbag-George Soros has contributed $1.5 million to the effort to support Amendment 4, according to a report from the Center for Public Integrity. Other billionaires are also spending big on the effort, including Nicholas Pritzker according to the report, which is sourced in part from Open Society Foundations records... Amendment 4 has to be overruled by 2/3 of Congress, it won't happen.  https://bigleaguepolitics.com/george-soros-tries-to-give-voting-rights-to-florida-felons/
Washington state voters could be
the first to approve a carbon tax

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Washington state could be the first in the nation to enact a voter-approved carbon tax if a ballot initiative succeeds there in November... an outcome that supporters say would prove the political tenability of a major policy to combat climate change.  “Even being in a competitive position is a significant achievement,” Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a dummycrats-Democrat and rumored 2020 presidential candidate, told the Washington Examiner in an interview. “If it doesn’t happen this year, we are not done." However, if voters in this progressive western state reject a carbon tax for the second time, after voting down a similar plan two years ago, it may slow what modest momentum there is for pricing pollution at the national level.“I do think about the consequences of it failing," said Noah Kaufman, a Columbia University economist who studies energy and climate change policy. “If a blue state fails again to pass a carbon tax, it certainly doesn't look good for efforts in states elsewhere, and at the federal level.” The logic behind a carbon tax is simple, economists say: Raise the price of carbon intensive products — based on the damage they cause society — so consumers use less of them, and encourage producers to find other solutions to limit emissions... Vote against - Washington once again.

{jpost.com} ~ The 71-year-old chairman of the small Jewish community in the city of Pinneberg in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein faces... an accusation from the magazine Der Spiegel that he is not Jewish, deceiving Jewish members since 2003. Spiegel reported in this week’s issue that Wolfgang Seibert fabricated his Jewish origin and is a Protestant whose family members fought for Nazi Germany in World War II against the allied powers. Seibert said he will consult with his attorney before issuing a public comment, adding that the contention that he plans to resign is false. The Jewish community in Pinneberg, a city of more than 42,000 residents, numbers 250 members. According to Spiegel, Seibert was born in 1947 as the son of the Protestant parents, and was baptized three days later. The magazine wrote that his grandparents were also Protestant. Seibert claims that his grandmother, Anna Katharina Schmidt, whose birth last name was Marx, survived Auschwitz. The magazine wrote Seibert’s claim about his grandmother cannot be true because her grandfather was Protestant...  https://www.jpost.com/International/Head-of-German-Jewish-community-revealed-to-be-non-Jewish-569895

Why Is Khashoggi's Murder Dominating the News?

by Nate Jackson:  Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi is dead, the Saudis finally acknowledged after 18 days. After numerous iterations, the “official” story now is that he was inadvertently killed during a fight that broke out in the Saudi consulate in Turkey, and a handful of “rogue” officials have been fired for bearing sole responsibility for Khashoggi’s death. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is totally innocent, you see.

Few, if any, actually believe the Saudis story, of course. A 59-year-old journalist spontaneously took on 15 Saudi security agents? Sure thing. Quite the contrary, reports are that he wasn’t just killed but dismembered on the scene. His body has never been produced. Furthermore, as the editors of National Review put it, “Very little happens in Saudi Arabia without bin Salman’s foreknowledge and approval, so the notion that he would be so unaware of his inner circle’s activities regarding one of the regime’s highest-profile international critics is laughable.”
Beyond that quick recap of the story, here are a few things to bear in mind:
First of all, this is what authoritarian regimes do, be they Islamic or otherwise. A free press is anathema to totalitarians. But with Khashoggi, there may be more than meets the eye. He joined the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1970s. He wasn’t an advocate of western-style democracy, instead favoring an Arab Spring-style political Islamic regime. That isn’t to minimize his death; it’s to see clearly who he was.
The American Leftmedia — led by The Washington Post — is running wall-to-wall coverage of his murder primarily because Khashoggi is one of theirs. He’s a journalist, an untouchable saint, and his death thus rattles them to their core.
But have most Americans heard of the the Gwinnett County Georgia police officer killed in the line of duty Saturday? Officer Antwan Toney had just turned 30, and he was an outstanding human being and police officer. Yet this black cop was murdered by two black assailants in the Atlanta area; one killer is in custody. Toney was one of ours — an American citizen serving his country and community honorably. Both of these men’s lives matter, but only one is getting nonstop media coverage.
The strategic reason for that is the media’s hope to pin Khashoggi’s murder — or at least the aftermath — on President Donald Trump. Anything to create the appearance of scandal before the midterms.
Which brings us to our parting thought: In 2012, four Americans, including an ambassador, were killed in a terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. Barack scumbag/liar-nObama and liar-Hillary Clinton lied about it for weeks solely to preserve scumbag/liar-nObama’s reelection campaign. The Leftmedia aided them in this deception. So while Trump certainly should have been far stronger in his public condemnation of the Saudis, we suspect he’s using this incident for leverage behind the scenes. Don’t be surprised to see a subtle shift in America’s relationship with the Saudis that will benefit the U.S., all while Trump gives them breathing room publicly. Distasteful? Sure. But sometimes that describes American foreign policy out of necessity.
