Cincinnati Cop Caught Killing on Camera
University of Cincinnati police officer Raymond Tensing, 25, faces 15 years to life in prison for the murder of Samuel Dubose on July 19. His body camera caught the entire traffic stop on film. When Tensing ordered Dubose out of the car, Dubose instead started the car and began pulling away. Tensing yelled "Stop!" and drew his gun, firing a single round into the back of Dubose's head. Tensing later claimed he was being dragged by the car and he feared for his life. But Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters said, “He wasn’t dealing with someone who was wanted for murder. He was dealing with someone who didn’t have a front license plate. This was, in the vernacular, a pretty chicken-crap stop. ... I’m treating him like a murderer.”
There are undoubtedly cops who make terrible errors in judgment and abuse their power. Tensing appears to fall in this category, and we're glad he was wearing a body camera to prove it. That practice should become more common. The one caution we'd add is that even this video doesn't tell the whole story. Dubose had a lengthy record, though nothing violent, and he was not acting aggressively in this case. More important, every time a white officer kills a black man, leftists attempt to paint the entire law enforcement community with the same racist brush. Finally, on any given day in the U.S., there are 40 murders committed, frequently black on black. Who can name one?  -The Patriot Post

A Lesson in Picking Winnable Fights
Intraparty disagreements are hardly unusual in Congress, but when bickering moves from behind closed doors to the House floor, news is made. And Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) captured headlines this week by filing a motion to “vacate” the speaker’s chair — occupied, of course, by bakcstabberJohn Boehner.
In the motion, Meadows says backstabber Boehner has attempted to “consolidate power and centralize decision-making, bypassing the majority of the 435 members of Congress and the people they represent.” In an interview with radio host Mark Levin, Meadows added that he hopes his “colleagues will see that there’s something inherently wrong with the leadership that we have and it’s time for a change."
It’s no secret backstabber Boehner doesn’t claim the title of conservative darling. This past January, House Republicans staged the largest defection from a sitting speaker in at least a century, with 25 members, including Meadows, voting for someone other than backstabber Boehner. And last month, 34 Republicans bucked backstabber Boehner by opposing the rule to bring Barack nObama’s trade bill to the floor. In retaliation, three of those members were kicked off the House whip team, and Meadows was given the option of resigning his subcommittee chairmanship or being demoted.

IT’S A BLING THING: TRUMP AND HILLY TWO OF A KIND
They’re both mega-rich New Yorkers with famous hairdos and big baggage, but Donald Trump and Hilly Clinton have much more in common than that. They are both clear frontrunners for the political parties’ presidential nominations who are in the dumps with the general electorate.
A new national poll from Quinnipiac University says that Clinton’s lead among Democrats is smaller than in the spring, but she still trounces her closest competitor, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., by a stout 38 points. Her biggest worry for the primary run is the sudden bump in backing for Vice President loose lips Joe Biden, who is weighing a late-summer launch.
But compared to Trump’s perilous perch, Clinton is as solid as the octopus carpaccio at the 21 Club.
The Republican frontrunner continues to gobble up vote share from every candidate other than establishment fave Jeb Bush, who held steady from May with 10 percent, and Scott Walker, who actually managed to gain 3 points amid the Trumptation of the GOP to 13 percent and second place. The only other significant gain was Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who muscled his way into the pack at 5 percent.
And a closer look at Trump’s support tells us why his 7 point lead is so flimsy. While he is tops among self-described “very conservative” respondents, he is also number one with self-described “somewhat conservative” voters as well as moderates and liberals.
The good news for Trump is that he draws support from multiple channels, as opposed to a candidate like Walker who lags with liberals and moderates. Trump even draws responses from potential voters who otherwise wouldn’t take part in a GOP primary poll.
Quinnipiac doesn’t say if the ideological proportions shifted post-Trump, so we don’t know how much his arrival has changed the composition of the electorate  The favorites among moderates and liberals prior to Trump’s name being added to the list were Marco Rubio and Chris Christie, who are now specks in the rearview mirror of Trump’s limo. So, some of Trump’s support among the middling-minded is no doubt at the expense of others.
But – and this is just a guess – Trump’s fame and bombast is bringing in people who normally wouldn’t vote in a Republican primary or identify themselves as primary voters to a telephone pollster. And history tells us that such voters are an unreliable bet come Election Day.
Clinton’s primary support, by comparison, is anything but unsettled. It’s downright stodgy. Democrats are coming to terms with Clinton, and she shows no signs of bringing new voters into the process. That’s bad in many ways, but good for predictable primary polling.
But those same polls tell us something very dangerous for Clinton: voters neither like nor trust her. And that’s where she and Trump go together like Cristal and a Hamptons clambake. She is seen by voters as neither honest nor trustworthy by 57 percent of voters while Trump cards an equally abysmal 56 percent.
By way of further comparison, Clinton trails loose lips Biden on honesty and trustworthiness among all voters by 21 points and by 11 points among Democrats. Woof.
Clinton’s unfavorability rating is only 8 points better than Trump’s 59 percent, but she does have stronger core support, which explains why the poll shows her beating him badly – 12 points – in a hypothetical general election matchup.
But, for the aforementioned reasons, Trump isn’t going to the big dance. So how does Clinton do against the contenders? She’s essentially tied with both Bush and Walker. That’s a particularly bad sign as it relates to Walker, given how much better known she is than the Wisconsin governor.
And here’s the kicker for Clinton: loose lips Biden does as well against Walker and Bush as Clinton. When Sheriff Joe sees those numbers, he might decide to saddle up after all.  -Fox News

Intelligence Fears Hundreds Of U.S. Secrets Leaked In Hilly’s Emails
{Jeff Dunetz} ~ Hilly Clinton says that she did not have any classified information on her servers, but then intelligence inspectors general examined forty Hilly emails and found that four of them had info that was classified before she sent the... Now The U.S. intelligence community worried that former Secretary of State Hilly Rodham Clinton’s private email account contains hundreds of revelations of classified information from spy agencies and is taking steps to contain any damage to national security, according to documents and interviews reported by the Washington Times. A U.S. official directly familiar with the the case, who spoke to the Washington Times only on the condition of anonymity, said the notification of possibly hundreds of additional emails with classified secrets came from the State Department Freedom of Information Act office to the Office of Inspector General for the Director of National Intelligence.

Russian War Plans to Nuke America
{Cliff Kincaid} ~ “The Russians have been preparing for a nuclear world war against the United States for a half a century or more,” geopolitical analyst Jeff Nyquist says... During an appearance on America’s Survival TV, Nyquist praised our top generals, including Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, for publicly describing Russia as an “existential threat.” These warnings go against the official position of the nObama Administration. Nyquist also noted that Adm. William Gortney, who leads U.S. Northern Command, or NORTHCOM, had warned the Senate that the Russians are in the process of deploying long-range cruise missiles that can threaten our early warning radars and our ABM defenses in Alaska.

 nObama’s Disastrous Iran Deal
{Richard A. Epstein} ~ The deal struck between Iran and various world powers is more than just bad policy; it is a disaster waiting to happen... It will lead to the end of the Pax Americana by showing the United States' allies that we are not serious about guaranteeing their security. These allies, deprived of American leadership, will increasingly turn away from us and towards nations like China and Russia to better serve their own interests. On top of this, the agreement virtually guarantees that Iran will be able to produce a nuclear warhead and the ballistic missiles necessary to deliver such a payload to American shores.

Texas Congressman introduces bill to suspend Refugee Resettlement
{Pamela Geller} ~ nObama has been importing hundreds of thousands of Muslims under the Refugee Resettlement Program. Despite the spike in jihad plots and attacks in the US and the genocide of non-Muslims under sharia, nObama remains unmoved... Under nObama, it’s a world where arrogance rules. It’s always a shock to people when they first find out how Refugee Resettlement works. Instead of giving refuge to the religious minorities that are persecuted, oppressed and subjugated under the sharia, we are opening the floodgates to Islamic supremacists and jihadists. And what most folks don’t know is, it’s the OIC-driven UN that decides who gets refugee status. The mandate of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) determines which of the world’s “huddled masses” comes to the US as humanitarian refugees.

nObama's TPP trade deal hits the wall
{Cyrtus Elllis} ~ President nObama’s hopes for a globalist pact integrating economies on four continents ran aground in Hawaii on Friday... TPP would be the largest-ever economic regulatory treaty, encompassing more than 40 percent of the world’s gross domestic product. Secretary of State John Kerry said the pact will merge the U.S. economy with Mexico and ten others nations, including Canada, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Islamic Sultanate of Brunei. The latest round of talks in Hawaii had been expected to yield an agreement to conclude the TPP. The president pressed Congress to surrender its ability to amend the pact, saying that would enable him to quickly wrap up the negotiations. The House and Senate agreed, and gave President nObama the enhanced power, known as trade promotion authority, after a series of controversial votes in June. But the president’s promises proved false.

Iran publishes book on how to outwit US and destroy Israel
{Robert Spencer} ~ While Secretary of State hanoi John Kerry and President nObama do their best to paper over the brutality of the Iranian regime and force through a nuclear agreement, Iran’s religious leader has another issue on his mind... The destruction of Israel. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has published a new book called “Palestine,” a 416-page screed against the Jewish state. A blurb on the back cover credits Khamenei as “The flagbearer of Jihad to liberate Jerusalem.” nObama administration officials likely hope that no American even hears about it. ‘Reclaiming Muslim lands’ Khamenei makes his position clear from the start: Israel has no right to exist as a state.

Allen West: Navy to prosecute Chattanooga hero
{Jay Baggett} ~ According to former congressman and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Allen West, the U.S. Navy has decided to bring charges against the naval officer who fired his personal weapon at Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez... during the ISIS supporter’s July 16 attack on the Chattanooga U.S. Naval and Marine Reserve Center. Abdulazeez, armed with a handgun and an assault rifle, killed four Marines and one sailor. In the posting on his website Saturday, West wrote: “Ladies and gents, resulting from the text message I received yesterday, I can confirm that the United States Navy is bringing charges against Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property. It can't possibly be that a commanding officer who fires his own personal weapon at a terrorist, armed with an assault rifle and intent on killing the servicemen and servicewomen under him, would be punished for his act of bravery.

Huma Abedin Facing Criminal Conduct Investigation...
{allenwestrepublic.com} ~ The swirling vortex of Hilly Clinton’s scandal-ridden past may sink one of her top aides for illegally dipping into the public trough, despite investigators being thwarted by Clinton’s missing emails... Investigators found Huma Abedin, vice chairwoman of Clinton’s presidential campaign, was overpaid by nearly $10,000 because of violations of rules governing vacation and sick time while she served as an official in the State Department, according to a Friday Washington Post story. The finding emerged publicly after Sen. Chuck Grassley–chairman of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee–sent letters, which were obtained by the newspaper, to Secretary of State John Kerry and others about an investigation into possible “criminal” conduct by Abedin.

 Here comes loose lips Joe?
{Amy Chozick} ~ Vice President loose lips Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his associates have begun to actively explore a possible presidential campaign... which would upend the Democratic field and deliver a direct threat to Hilly Rodham Clinton, several people who have spoken to Mr. loose lips Biden or his closest advisers say. Mr. loose lips Biden’s advisers have started to reach out to Democratic leaders and donors who have not yet committed to Mrs. Clinton or who have grown concerned about what they see as her increasingly visible vulnerabilities as a candidate. The conversations, often fielded by Mr. loose lips Biden’s chief of staff, Steve Ricchetti, have taken place through hushed phone calls and quiet lunches. In most cases, they have grown out of an outpouring of sympathy for Mr. loose lips Biden since the death of his son Beau, 46, in May.       http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/02/us/politics/joe-biden-white-house-2016-presidential-campaign.html?_r=1

IS recruitment document seeks to provoke 'end of the world'
{Sara A. Carter} ~ An apparent Islamic State recruitment document found in Pakistan’s lawless tribal lands reveals that the extremist group has grand ambitions of building a new terrorist army in Afghanistan and Pakistan... and triggering a war in India to provoke an Armageddon-like “end of the world.” The 32-page Urdu-language document obtained by American Media Institute (AMI) and reviewed by USA TODAY details a plot to attack U.S. soldiers as they withdraw from Afghanistan and target American diplomats and Pakistani officials. AMI obtained the document from a Pakistani citizen with connections inside the Pakistani Taliban and had it independently translated from Urdu by Harvard researcher and translator Mustafa Samdani. The Pakistani's identity was shared with USA TODAY, which has agreed not to identify him publicly because of concerns for his safety.        http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2015/07/28/ami-isil-document-pakistan-threatens-india/30674099/

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ "The enemy has to be defeated," U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter last week told American forces stationed in the Middle East. That is a simple truth, one that, regrettably, is not heard often from officials in the current administration. Mr. Carter then added: "It will be, because the barbarians are always defeated by civilization." That is a comforting sentiment - one that, regrettably, is not supported by historical evidence.
.
No one has studied that evidence more thoroughly than Bernard Lewis, at 99 the greatest living historian of the Middle East. "The Roman Empire and the medieval Islamic Empire were not conquered by more civilized peoples," he has noted. "They were conquered by less civilized but more vigorous peoples. But in both cases what made the conquest, with the Barbarians in Rome and the Mongols in Iraq, what made it possible was things were going badly wrong within the society so that it was no longer able to offer effective resistance."
.
Would anyone argue that things are going well in America and Europe today? Would anyone argue that Western societies are as "vigorous" as those waging what they call a jihad against us? Would anyone argue that the West is offering "effective resistance" to the barbarians Mr. Carter has in mind: the head-choppers and slavers of the Islamic State who now occupy large swaths of what once were Syria and Iraq?
.
Nor are those our only barbarian enemies. Spokesmen for the Islamic State cover their faces and wield long knives. Spokesmen for the Islamic Republic of Iran display their smiling faces for the cameras and know which forks to use at elegant Viennese restaurants. But is slitting infidel throats any less barbaric than hanging Iranian men for having the wrong sexual orientation, or stoning Iranian women, or persecuting religious and ethnic minorities, or holding innocents hostage or threatening neighbors with genocide? Really?
.
Iran's Islamic Revolution erupted in the winter of 1979. In the autumn of that year, the U.S. embassy in Tehran, sovereign American territory, was seized by a group that came to be known as "Muslim Student Followers of the Imam's Line" - the "Imam" being Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. For 444 days, they held hostage American diplomats who under international law were entitled to the Iranian government's protection. They were treated like animals - and tortured.
.
A few years ago we understood that this episode represented "the first battle in America's war with militant Islam" - the subtitle of Mark Bowden's bestselling 2007 book, "Guests of the Ayatollah." When did we stop understanding that?
.
Today, militant Islamic forces are engaged in battles across the Middle East, North Africa and beyond. Of late, a potentially pivotal diplomatic battle has been fought and, in my estimation, decisively won by Iran's rulers. Its outcome is an agreement guaranteed to greatly enrich those rulers and, within a relatively short span of time, allow them to acquire more and better weapons, not excluding nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to targets anywhere in the world. Those targets will be within what Iranian theocrats call the "House of Unbelief" which, in their theology/ideology, is synonymous with the "House of War."
.
As Iran increases its military capabilities, and as the Islamic State, al Qaeda, Boko Haram and similar groups expand their powers, American leaders continue to shrink the armed forces Secretary Carter oversees. The American Enterprise Institute's Mackenzie Eaglen has pointed out that the U.S. military is today "smaller than it was before 9/11 at the nadir of the Clinton 'peace dividend' drawdown." At the same time, those same American leaders repeatedly proclaim that America has become "war-weary." That can only be music to the ears of all those who declare America an "enemy of God" and who, on that basis, proclaim themselves enemies of America.
.
Does Mr. Carter seriously believe the road we're now on leads to the defeat of these enemies? If so, his belief is based on faith or wishful thinking - not fact, experience or precedent.
.
Let me leave you with one more thought from Bernard Lewis who, I should point out, has for years been reviled by Islamists and those in the West who sympathize with them. In 1990, a decade before the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 and a decade after the revolution in Iran, he wrote:
.
"Islam has brought comfort and peace of mind to countless millions of men and women. It has given dignity and meaning to drab and impoverished lives. It has taught people of different races to live in brotherhood and people of different creeds to live side by side in reasonable tolerance. It inspired a great civilization in which others besides Muslims lived creative and useful lives and which, by its achievement, enriched the whole world. But Islam, like other religions, has also known periods when it inspired in some of its followers a mood of hatred and violence. It is our misfortune that part, though by no means all or even most, of the Muslim world is now going through such a period, and that much, though again not all, of that hatred is directed against us."
.
If policymakers, legislators, academics and journalists had listened to Mr. Lewis a quarter century ago and formulated a strategic response, the world might be a very different place today. But they did not. And today, for many of the most powerful people in America and Europe, self-delusion retains its appeal. That can change. It's why we have elections. A big one is coming up fairly soon and no issue should be seen as more important than this one.
