Rand Paul brought up the Constitution and the Sixth Amendment when a reporter challenged his efforts to publicly reveal the identity of the whistleblower... whose allegations kicked off a renewed interest in impeachment of President Donald Trump. Paul addressed the question Tuesday after taking the stage at Trump’s Monday rally in his home state and demanding that the press publish the whistleblower’s name. Paul went on to explain that the Sixth Amendment included the right of the accused to confront any accusers, suggesting that allowing the whistleblower to remain anonymous would then be a de facto denial of Trump’s Sixth Amendment rights. Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham also argued that the whistleblower was not guaranteed anonymity, telling reporters, “The whistleblower statute was never meant to give you anonymity. In his testimony before the House investigative committees last month, U.S. diplomat William Taylor – who supposedly provided some of the most damning information to House Democrats... said that he relied on The New York Times for his claim that President Donald Trump wanted Ukraine to help him dig up dirt on loose lips liar-Joe Biden. In a revelation similar to when we learned that Steele dossier author Christopher Steele pulled some of his claims from a reader-sourced Yahoo website, Taylor admitted that he had no firsthand knowledge to support his contention that Trump’s desire for anti-corruption investigations in Ukraine had something to do with hurting his political rival, loose lips liar-Biden. “What was the goal of requesting investigations into 2016 election and Burisma?” asked Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) in the now-public transcript of the hearing. “As I understand it from one of the maybe the article in the New York Times about Giuliani’s interest in Burisma, in that article, he describes, and I think he quotes Giuliani at some length, that article indicates that Giuliani was interested in getting some information on Vice President loose lips liar-Biden that would be useful to Mr. Giuliani’s client. I think that’s what he says. He says he’s got one client, and he’s useful to the client,” replied Taylor. “And then it’s your inference that Mr. Giuliani’s goal would be the President’s goal?” asked Zeldin. “Yes,” said Taylor. “And your source is the New York Times?” asked Zeldin. “Yes,” affirmed Taylor. “So,” Zeldin continued, “do you have any other source that the President’s goal in making this request was anything other than the New York Times?” Taylor replied, “I have not talked to the president. I have no other information from what the President was thinking.” This is the Democrats’ star witness. This is the guy who is supposed to have corroborated everything said by their precious whistleblower. And he has no insight into Trump’s motivations other than an article in the New York Times? Are they kidding with this circus?.
The Fed and Exchange Rates

{ americanthinker.com } ~ When you have a hammer, so the saying goes, everything looks like a nail. The Federal Reserve, under Jerome Powell, has been acting like it has only one tool in its toolbox, the hammer of monetary policy... This particular hammer can pound down and pry up interest rates. Powell has been moderately successful with this hammer. Last year he overreacted to a warming economy, sharply constraining monetary growth to a level far below what would be appropriate for his inflation targets. This year he has swung the other way, rapidly increasing the money supply to compensate for the problems caused by his initial overreaction. His target has been a 2% inflation rate, and his hammer is the right tool for that nail. But interest rates don’t only affect inflation, they also affect exchange rates. The interest rate that Powell is setting is pushing the dollar upward in foreign exchange markets, and the high exchange rate is counteracting President Trump’s efforts to balance U.S. trade. Powell doesn’t seem to realize that the Fed also has a screwdriver that he can use to target the exchange rate. Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan faced a similarly high dollar in 1997. But instead of giving the “Asian Tigers” loans by buying some of their assets, he let their currencies collapse. He then stimulated the U.S. economy so that increased U.S. imports from the world would stimulate the world economy. As a result of this policy and other similar policies, the U.S. lost millions of manufacturing jobs. Especially galling was Greenspan’s failure to help South Korea. Due to the falling won, many South Korean businesses that had borrowed money in dollar-denominated loans couldn’t make their loan payments, so they and the banks that had loaned them the money were facing bankruptcy. In his memoirs, Greenspan noted that the Federal Reserve had been in touch with the South Korean central bank, but had not offered it a single loan. He wrote: So when Charlie Siegman, one of our top international economists, phoned a Korean central banker on Thanksgiving weekend and asked, “Why don’t you release more of your reserves?” the banker answered, “We don’t have any.” What they’d published as reserves had already been spoken for. (p. 189). Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke faced a similarly high dollar in late 2008. The dollar was spiking upwards in foreign exchange markets due to the international liquidity crunch following the Lehman Brothers collapse. Instead of making Greenspan’s mistake, Bernanke loaned money to friendly central banks by buying their currency currency swaps. It worked! However, Bernanke appeared to forget his screwdriver in early 2011 Quantitative Easing 2 when he used his hammer to target the dollar’s exchange rate because “Currency undervaluation by trade surplus countries is inhibiting needed international adjustment and creating spillover effects that would not exist if exchange rates better reflected market fundamentals.” But his attempt to target exchange rates had to be abandoned when it drove inflation up from 1.63% for the 12 months ending in January to 3.87% for the 12 months ending in September. In short, the U.S. is approaching a situation similar to 1997 and 2008. Fox News Bosses Demand Hosts
Protect Whistleblower’s Identity

{ conservativefreepress.com } ~ According to a report from CNN Business on Thursday, hosts, reporters, and pundits who appear on Fox News have been instructed by management... not to identify the Ukraine whistleblower who lit the fire that started the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. Despite the whistleblower’s name Eric Ciaramella being known to literally anyone who cares to know it, Fox News bosses have reportedly been warning commentators like Sean Hannity not to jump on the bandwagon. It is the latest but not the first warning that Fox News may slowly be morphing into something that will ultimately be unrecognizable to its loyal viewers. On October 31, a Fox executive sent an email to staffers that said the network had not “independently confirmed the name or identification of the anonymous whistleblower.” A copy of the email was obtained by CNN Business. The executive further advised production staffers to “NOT fulfill any video or graphic requests” related to the whistleblower’s identity. Such guidance has been extended to Fox’s prime time talk shows, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. Hosts like Sean Hannity have been told not to name the person they believe to be whistleblower on the air. Jeanine Pirro said last Friday that the network’s hosts “apparently can’t say” the person’s name. And Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo said last week that they were “not naming” the person on Fox. Hannity said on Monday that he had “confirmed independently” the identity of the whistleblower, but stopped short of naming the person on air. “But you know what, I will play the game for a little bit,” Hannity said. “And I will take the lawyer’s threats that they’re going to sue me, it wouldn’t go anywhere.” As of Thursday morning, Fox News was still not reporting on the name of the whistleblower despite his identity suddenly becoming an even more exposed open secret than it was a week ago... http://www.conservativefreepress.com/politics/fox-news-bosses-demand-hosts-protect-whistleblowers-identity/ .

Initiated over 20 years ago by the World Evangelical Alliance... 100,000 congregations around the world and millions of Christians participate on this day. "This November let us unite in prayer for our persecuted brothers and sisters," IDOP noted in a brief video that highlights a few examples of recent persecution, including the Easter Sunday church bombings in Sri Lanka and the ongoing slaughter of Christians by Islamic groups in Nigeria and, increasingly, Burkina Faso. Discussing this day's significance, Vernon Brewer, the CEO and founder of World Help, a Christian humanitarian organization, wrote: "It's easy to go about our lives and forget that in places like Nigeria, Iran and North Korea being a Christian can often lead to death. After all, for the most part, persecution for our faith isn't something most of us face... But I can't forget the believers I've met in Iraq, China or at the North Korean border. I can't forget their scars or their haunted eyes and horrific stories... The more I travel, the more I see that in many countries Christian persecution is worse than ever before." Statistics bear out this grim assertion: "4,136 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons," noted Open Doors in its World Watch List 2019. "On average, that's 11 Christians killed every day for their faith." Additionally, "2,625 Christians were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced and imprisoned" and "1,266 churches or Christian buildings were attacked." The report further states that more than 245 million Christians around the world are currently suffering from persecution. Set Forest Fires in U.S., Europe

{ freebeacon.com } ~ A media outlet affiliated with ISIS has been instructing the group's radical adherents to set forest fires in the United States and Europe... to cause mass ecological disasters, according to posts on an internet forum dedicated to the terror group. At least four propaganda posters that have appeared on the pro-ISIS Quraysh media outlet have urged followers to "ignite fires" as part of an ongoing jihad against America and its allies. "The first poster in the series was published in April 2019," according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, which tracks the radical forum. "The text reads: ‘Oh monotheists followers of ISIS, ignite fires in the forests and fields, and we are addressing especially those who live in Europe and America, for they are painful to them.'" scumbag-Schiff Bloviates on 'Patriotic'

Thomas Gallatin: Eleven days into President Donald Trump’s presidency, the attorney currently representing the “whistleblower,” Mark Zaid, tweeted, “#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately.” Zaid was responding to Trump having just fired acting Attorney General liar-Sally Yates over her refusal to uphold his temporary travel ban on several Muslim-majority countries. Later in July 2017, Zaid tweeted, “I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president. We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters.” Isn’t it amazing that Zaid’s client is now at the center of that impeachment effort?
We have repeatedly noted ever since Trump won the election that Democrats have been committed to obstructing his agenda and, if possible, removing him from office. Following Robert Mueller’s investigation blowing up in their faces, Democrats determined that coup attempt 2.0 would be fully under their control. Thus the current orchestrated “whistleblower” impeachment push.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag-Adam Schiff, who has been orchestrating this entire impeachment coup attempt from the very beginning, sought to defend his and Democrats’ actions in a USA Today op-ed. scumbag-Schiff falsely claims to have engaged in this impeachment charade based entirely on nonpartisan motives. But as Zaid’s statements make plain, nothing could be further from the truth.
First off, scumbag-Schiff begs the question of Trump’s guilt, claiming that he abused “the power of the presidency.” scumbag-Schiff then suggests that Trump’s attempt to investigate the origins of the Russian-collusion hoax (coup 1.0) is the president seeking his own “personal, political interests.” In fact, it is actually in the national interest of our republic that Trump investigate and ferret out those deep-state and foreign actors who sought to undermine a duly elected president.
Defending the Democrats’ secretive impeachment inquiry, scumbag-Schiff writes, “The interviews we have conducted have been thorough, professional and fair … in line with best investigative practices. … We have held these interviews in private to ensure that witnesses are not able to tailor their testimony to align with others at the expense of truth.” If this were the case, then why did scumbag-Schiff and company regularly and selectively leak portions of these testimonies to the press? How does this not muddy the waters, especially when every Democrat runs around declaring the president guilty of an impeachable offense?
scumbag-Schiff then claims that all the witnesses are “dedicated, nonpartisan public servants” who “are American patriots and shining examples of what it means to defend and protect our Constitution.” That’s ridiculous, given that 99% of the political donations from these “nonpartisan public servants” within the State Department went to scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton. That doesn’t appear very nonpartisan to most folks. Furthermore, calling deep-state actors who worked to resist and ultimately to impeach a duly elected president is anything but “patriotic.” Zaid was closer with his hashtags of “coup” and “rebellion.”
