Terror-sponsor Iran threatens Washington think
tank with actions by 'security apparatuses'

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Iran, an international sponsor of terrorism, has announced sanctions against a hawkish Washington think tank, threatening that any actions taken against it by "security apparatuses" will be "considered legitimate" by Tehran... The ominous warning to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and its chief executive officer Mark Dubowitz was carried in state-controlled media, which cited a law titled "Countering America’s Human Rights Violation and Adventurous and Terrorist Actions” that was passed by the Iranian Parliament in 2017. Iran's foreign ministry said the move had been made because of "economic terrorism" by the FDD, which has been sharply critical of the Iran nuclear deal and has advocated harsh American sanctions against the theocratic regime."Accordingly, taking any actions by the judicial and security apparatuses against the FDD and their Iranian and non-Iranian accomplices will be considered legitimate as their actions are against the Iran’s national security and the interests of Iranian people and government," the state-run Mehr news agency wrote. The think tank addressed the news in a statement, and its leader Mark Dubowitz told the Washington Examiner, "The regime has a history of targeted assassinations on European soil, places in the Gulf, Latin America, Asia ... We're treating it as a targets list, not a sanctions list." "I do think we have a sufficient profile with the U.S. administration, with Congress, and other allies that if the Iranians went after us, this would be a significant escalatory step," he continued. "But, I also don't want to say that that necessarily will deter their behavior. They tried to assassinate a Saudi ambassador in Cafe Milano right in the heart of Washington, D.C." Dubowitz said the group would not be backing down, however. "It just incentivizes us to redouble our efforts in researching and investigating the malign and destructive activities of Iran," he said. A spokesperson for the State Department indicated that the U.S. is taking "the regime's threats seriously" and vowed to "hold Iran responsible" for compromising the safety of Americans. Since its theocratic regime was established in 1979, Iran has been behind numerous terrorist activities throughout the world, often through its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah. In 2011, its plan to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the U.S. at the Cafe Milano restaurant in Washington's Georgetown district was thwarted and one of the plotters sentenced to 25 years..

Eager to move on from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference and the Trump campaign, GOP senators are gearing up to investigate the investigators. The idea is gaining traction with the Republican caucus, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.). Mueller’s report hasn’t been released yet, but Republicans have seized on a four-page letter from Attorney General William Barr that summarized key conclusions of the two-year probe, including that Mueller "did not establish" that President Trump or members of his campaign coordinated or colluded with Moscow in its election interference."Republicans believe that the FBI and Department of Justice — the top people — took the law in their own hands because they wanted scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton to win and Trump to lose," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said during an interview with Fox News’s Neil Cavuto as part of a media blitz discussing his plans for an investigation. He said that he will be looking at "abuse" of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant application process and the counterintelligence operation into Trump’s campaign, adding that "there will be a lot of inquiry as to how this all happened." GOP senators are already naming former officials who would be at the top of their lists to question, including former FBI Director scumbag-James Comey and former Attorney General liar-Loretta Lynch....

Judge Royce Lamberth, a Reagan appointee on Thursday granted Judicial Watch additional discovery and scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton has 30 days to oppose to their request to question her under oath. Judicial Watch has four more months to conduct the discovery that Judge Lamberth just granted them, according to JW attorney Ramona Cotca. TOM FITTON: Court gives Judicial Watch additional discovery and witnesses on scumbag/liar-Clinton emails — wants Judicial Watch to “shake the tree” on newly uncovered potential scumbag/liar-Clinton email trove. Gives Mrs. scumbag/liar-Clinton 30 days to oppose our request to question her under oath. Recall, it was Judicial Watch who broke the story of scumbag/liar-Hillary’s private server wide open through their FOIA lawsuits and they have been pursuing this case aggressively ever since. As previously reported in December, Judge Royce Lamberth ordered senior scumbag/liar-nObama administration officials, including lawyers and aides from the scumbag/liar-Clinton State Department to be deposed and or answer written questions under oath. The court ordered discovery into three specific areas: whether Secretary scumbag/liar-Clinton’s email use of a private email server was intended to stymie FOIA; whether the State Department’s intent to settle this case in late 2014 and early 2015 amounted to bad faith; and whether the State Department has adequately searched for records responsive to Judicial Watch’s request. Judicial Watch deposed nearly a dozen witnesses and will seek addition witnesses and documents from the court, including the deposition of scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Mills, her chief of staff at State and personal lawyer who directed the destruction of 33,000 State Department scumbag/liar-Clinton emails. Israel thwarts Iranian ‘killer drone’ attack

Israel faces real attacks from enemies who’d push them into the sea, given the chance. Unfortunately for these evil forces, Israel vehemently reserves the right to have a say in the matter. The Israeli military announced on Saturday that warplanes struck near Damascus, Syria, targeting Iranian forces that had been planning to launch “killer drones” into Israel, Reuters reported. “The strike targeted Iranian Quds Force operatives and Shiite militias which were preparing to advance attack plans targeting sites in Israel from within Syria over the last number of days,” the military said in a statement, according to the news agency. The Quds Force is an elite special forces unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards that operates overseas — Iran remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to Twitter on Saturday afternoon to say they “thwarted an attack” in what he called a “major operational effort.”....

{ americanthinker.com } ~ The contrasting reactions of conservatives and liberals to the news that libertarian philanthropist David Koch died and that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is suffering from a serious health problem... highlight a fundamental difference between them. Liberal Reaction to Death of Koch Prominent liberals exploded in vicious joy at the news that Koch had died. Perhaps the worst reaction was Bill Maher, who said, "F‑‑‑ him...I'm glad he's dead, and I hope the end was painful." An outlier? Hardly. His audience roared its approval. Bette Midler got in on the act, wishing his brother were also dead. She echoed Maher's profanity-bomb language and directed it at Kay Cole James, the black American leader of the Heritage Foundation, showing once again that no insult directed toward a minority is too vile when it comes from a liberal. Social media are on fire with these types of screeds from these tolerant Americans who regularly lecture and project at Republican lack of civility. Whatever you think of his policy positions, David Koch should not have been a particularly controversial figure. He was a successful business leader who gave billions to charity. He was neither hateful nor petty. He once said, "I really want to put my money to work making the world a better place." His primary crime? He supported Republicans, the one offense that still infuriates the Left. Conservative Reaction to Ruth Bader Ginsburg News Saturday also broke the news that Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg suffered from a malignant tumor on her pancreas. President Donald Trump's reaction to this terrible news about someone who has been a fierce critic? He said, "I hope she does really well. I'm hoping she's going to be fine. She's pulled through a lot. She's strong, very tough." He wasn't an outlier. Conservatives who would love to see Ginsburg enjoy her golden years in retirement were quick to wish her well. Not a single prominent conservative said anything half as toxic as what a host of liberals rushed to say about a man they didn't even know. Conservatives almost universally would like to see the very liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg step down from the Court. She is no friend to the Constitution and is a rubber-stamp vote in favor of all liberal issues, regardless of how detestable. But conservatives don't hate her, nor should they....

Mark Alexander: Democrats and their Leftmedia propagandists are doing everything they can to, as I wrote last December, “get the pre-2020 election recession they want.” They know the best way to achieve that is to undermine confidence in our economy as they did ahead of Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s 2008 election. To that end, they are shouting “Recession!” from the hilltops, while obstructing and undermining President Donald Trump at every turn.
They are now heralding Thursday’s revised jobs estimate for 2018 from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a preliminary revision that asserts there were 500,000 fewer jobs created last year than previously estimated. What Democrats and the media are not saying is this: 500,000 fewer jobs than what?
Noticeably absent from the BLS report and any of the subsequent media reports is the good news: There were more than 2,200,000 jobs created in 2018. As for this being the “largest revision” in 10 years, we are also in the midst of the largest growth in 10 years. The unemployment rate stands near a 50-year low of 3.7%, and as we have noted in the last year, companies are finding it difficult to fill jobs — which is reflected in the revised job numbers.
And contrary to Demo claims, U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross noted earlier this week that the administration’s $1.8 trillion 2017 tax cuts and other policies have boosted worker wages and added millions of jobs to the U.S. economy. “Contrary to misleading arguments that the president’s policies are not benefitting workers,” Ross said, “this data shows that it is the average American workers who are gaining from the country’s broader economic success.”
Trump said last week, “Our economy is incredible.” What else would you call an economy that created more than two million jobs last year and has unemployment at a 50-year low? But the economy, even when bolstered by good economic policies, is cyclical, and Trump wants to pad the current slowing market with interest-rate cuts and other moves. As for the impact of tariffs on China, its economy is already contracting. Slowing U.S. economic growth is bad for China, too, as our consumers buy its products.
The bottom line: Economic confidence is a reflection of business and consumer confidence, and Democrats are doing everything they can to undermine both. If Democrats get the recession they are promoting and hoping for, the job and income prospects for tens of millions of American workers will fall victim to their politically induced recession.
