But you won’t hear much about Muslim-on-Muslim violence committed in the name of Islam from the mainstream media... The media wants to give the impression that it about us versus them (i.e., Westerners unfairly picking on Muslims). A leading Muslim group and many Muslims, meanwhile, were reportedly angered by a British documentary that dared to ask the question, “how Islamic is Islamic State?” A Newsweek report offers some insight: “When It Comes to Beheadings, ISIS Has Nothing Over Saudi Arabia”: the world’s most self-consciously Islamic state behaves in a manner very much like that of…the Islamic State. Trump, who is currently in Saudi Arabia for his first international trip since taking office in January, will arrive in Israel on Monday and meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu where the two are expected to discuss prospects for peace negotiations and security issues. {townhall.com} ~ K.T. McFarland has been nominated by President Trump to be the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore. McFarland currently serves as an assistant to the President and National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster. She also worked under Michael Flynn before he was fired earlier this year.
“I am pleased to nominate K.T. McFarland to be Ambassador to Singapore, one of America’s great allies,” President Trump said in a statement. "While I am sorry to lose her, K.T.’s work in developing policies that put American interests first will have a lasting impact. She will remain an essential team member as she fulfills this new and important role.”
“K.T. provided essential and steadfast leadership during this transition,” McMaster added. ”She initiated and laid the foundation of the first strategic policy reviews that the NSC will continue to build upon. K.T. is leaving a great team in place to support the President, and our friends in Singapore know they are getting one of his top aides as their American ambassador.”
Before joining the administration, McFarland worked as a national security analyst for Fox News. McFarland also served in the Reagan, Nixon and Ford administrations.
”It’s been an incredible experience to serve here in the White House during his early months in office, and now I’m looking forward to implementing his policy with one of our key allies in Asia. I wish all my colleagues the very best, especially Lieutenant General McMaster, and I look forward to continuing to coordinate closely with them from my new perch in Singapore," McFarland said.
