{ lidblog.com } ~ Impeachment is backfiring. A new national poll finds a sharp swing in opposition to impeachment among independent voters... the second major poll to display these findings just this week. The latest poll comes from Emerson College finds that 45 percent oppose impeaching President Trump, against 43 percent who support it. That’s a 6-point swing in support from October when 48 percent of voters supported impeachment and only 44 percent opposed. But more importantly, it shows more independents oppose impeachment than support it, a significant change from October. The new poll found 49 percent oppose impeachment compared to 34 percent who support it. In October, 48 percent of independents polled supported impeachment, against 39 percent who opposed.  https://lidblog.com/impeachment-backfiring/

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ A Washington Republican establishment that has been hostile to President Trump and concerned that the White House is headed off the rails is united behind the president after two weeks of public impeachment testimony... For three years, Republican lobbyists, strategists, and lawmakers have discussed their frustration with Trump in hushed conversations, venting to reporters anonymously about the latest in the string of controversies that have gripped this presidency. Yet after multiple witnesses lent at least some credibility to allegations that Trump abused his power in dealings with Ukraine, Republicans are defending Trump against impeachment and predicting the affair might boost his reelection prospects. “This is clearly a partisan exercise that has little to no impact on most folks who reside outside the Beltway,” John Feehery, a Republican lobbyist, told the Washington Examiner. “Everybody knows how it is going to play out.” House Republicans are unified against impeachment, and as the process heads toward a Senate trial, it has become evident there are few GOP votes to convict the president, let alone the 20 needed to expel him from office. That red wall of protection on Capitol Hill has helped foster support for Trump with Republican lobbyists on K Street and among party strategists throughout Washington. But the key to goodwill from Republicans least likely to defend Trump has been public opinion. Support for impeachment increased in the weeks after House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi initiated the process on Sept. 24, including with critical independent voters. The polling has since moved against impeachment, even as witnesses testified to their belief that Trump was withholding arms from Ukraine in a quid pro quo to get the Ukrainians to investigate his political opponents. According to an average of polls tracked by FiveThirtyEight, support for impeachment across all surveys was 46.3%, with 45.6% opposing. That is a reversal from a high point of 50.3% backing impeachment versus 43.8% opposed that the FiveThirtyEight average showed on Oct. 14. In a recent poll of Wisconsin, a crucial 2020 battleground, voter opinion swung against impeachment compared to where it stood a month earlier. Additionally, Trump’s job approval ratings have not suffered...  https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/unmoved-by-the-schiff-show-trump-has-the-republican-establishment-in-his-pocket?
Durham's investigation into possible FBI
misconduct is now criminal probe, sources say

{ foxnews.com } ~ U.S. Attorney John Durham's ongoing probe into potential FBI and Justice Department misconduct in the run-up to the 2016 election through the spring of 2017... has transitioned into a full-fledged criminal investigation, two sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News on Thursday night. One source added that DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's upcoming report on alleged FBI surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign will shed light on why Durham's probe has become a criminal inquiry. Horowitz announced on Thursday his report would be available to the public soon, with "few" redactions. The investigation's new status means Durham can subpoena witnesses, file charges, and impanel fact-finding grand juries. Fox News reported on Tuesday that Durham's probe had expanded significantly based on new evidence uncovered during a recent trip to Rome with Attorney General Bill Barr. Barr reportedly told embassy officials in Italy that he "needed a conference room to meet high-level Italian security agents where he could be sure no one was listening in. "A source in the Italian Ministry of Justice told The Daily Beast earlier this month that Barr and Durham were played a taped deposition made by Joseph Mifsud, the professor who allegedly told ex-Trump aide George Papadopoulos that the Russians had "dirt" on scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton. Mifsud reportedly was explaining to investigators in the deposition why people would want to harm him, and why he needed police protection. Papadopoulos has suggested he was connected with Mifsud as part of a setup orchestrated by intelligence agencies. Sources told Fox News that Durham was "very interested" to question former Director of National Intelligence scumbag-James Clapper and former CIA Director scumbag/commie-John Brennan, an anti-Trump critic who recently dismissed the idea. The New York Times reported Thursday that Durham's criminal review has prompted some CIA officials to obtain criminal legal counsel in anticipation of being interviewed. scumbag/commie-Brennan and scumbag-Clapper were at the helm not only when Mifsud spoke to Papadopoulos, but also when an unverified and largely discredited dossier, written by British ex-spy Christopher Steele and funded by the scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee, was used to help justify a secret surveillance warrant against former Trump adviser Carter Page in the run-up to the 2016 election. The Times' reporting on Thursday, which overtly framed Durham's probe as politically tainted without evidence, did not mention the Steele dossier at all. The FBI apparently obscured the fact that the scumbag/liar-Clinton campaign and DNC funded the dossier in its warrant application, telling the secret court only that the dossier was prepared at the behest of an unidentified presidential campaign...  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/john-durham-investigation-fbi-misconduct-criminal-probe

Giuliani Charges Former VP
loose lips liar-Biden 'Bribed' Ukraine President

{ newsmax.com  } ~ Rudy Giuliani is claiming former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden bribed former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko. President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer made the explosive allegation during a telephone interview with Sinclair’s “America This Week”... host Eric Bolling on Thursday,  and a clip was posted ahead of the Friday night airing by Mediaite.  “You know the big thing in Ukraine about loose lips liar-Biden?” Giuliani asked. “How he corrupted the United States of America. Just step back for a minute from this political garbage and consider just how horrible it is that a vice president of the United States bribed the president of a foreign country in order to fire a prosecutor who is investigating the vice president’s son, and every single person in Ukraine knows it.” Giuliani also dismissed Bolling’s remark that much of the House Intelligence Committee impeachment inquiry hearings focused on him, saying he hadn’t met some of the witnesses. “Even Sondland,” Giuliani noted of European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland. “I talked to Sondland three times on the phone … I don’t think I’ve ever met Gordon.” When Bolling noted that Sondland claimed to be following Giuliani’s lead in pushing to withhold military aid Ukraine, Giuliani pushed back. “He’s completely wrong,” Giuliani replied, adding “I wasn’t holding back anything.” Giuliani also defended the Trump administration’s foreign policy saying, “The reality is the president is confronting Ukraine correctly, the country as a big problem with corruption.”

Jerusalem Embassy Issues
Travel Warning for US Citizens

by conservativesociety.org ~ American citizens have been warned against traveling to Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, following a change in US policy over Israeli settlements... Up to now, the US has agreed with the rest of the world that the settlements are illegal. On Monday, Mike Pompeo softened that position, and the Palestinians aren’t happy about it. Now the Jerusalem embassy is strongly suggesting that Americans avoid the places where they’re least happy. Israel’s right to settle the land it conquered in 1967 is one of the most controversial issues in the Middle East peace process. Israel says the land where it’s building settlements traditionally belongs to the Jewish people. The rest of the world mostly says that’s irrelevant. Israel currently has settlements in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Golan Heights, all areas captured during the 1967 Six-Day War. Until 2005, there were also settlements in the Gaza Strip, but these were evacuated as part of Israel’s plan to disengage from that area. Around 800,000 people live in the settlements... The Fourth Geneva Convention sets out the law for countries that occupy captured territory. The Convention states that “the Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.”... Israel claims that the Convention doesn’t apply in this specific case. However, most other countries say that it does, and the settlements are illegal under international law. Until now the US has agreed with this position... However, on Monday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the US is shifting its position on the settlements. Specifically, Pompeo said the administration was reversing an scumbag/liar-nObama-era decision that the US would allow the UN Security Council to pass a resolution that officially declared the settlements illegal...  Pompeo went on to say that “The establishment of Israeli settlements in the West Bank is not inconsistent with international law.” This brings US policy on the settlements into line with Israel’s... While it also puts the US in opposition to most of its allies, Pompeo pointed out that 40 years of opposition to the settlements “hasn’t worked… it hasn’t advanced the cause of peace.”... The Trump administration hopes this move will kick-start the stalled peace process. However, it was condemned by Palestinian activists and their Western and Arab allies. Now the US Embassy to Israel warns, “Individuals and groups opposed to the secretary of state’s recent announcement may target U.S. government facilities, U.S. private interests and U.S. citizens.”... Official advice is that Americans shouldn’t travel in the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem unless it’s absolutely necessary, and should also avoid public events. Any US citizen in these areas should remain vigilant and security-aware.

Deep State Media Whistleblower
Double Standard
By John Dietrich
{ americanthinker.com } ~ Twitter and YouTube are attempting to ban mention of "whistleblower" Eric Ciaramella's name. This is a very curious thing for tech savvy organizations to do... It may have been possible to conceal the identity of a person prior to the development of the internet, but now there are thousands of individuals checking databases. Media giants should heed the words of Jesus: "There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.  What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs."  Ciaramella name is widely known. However, the Deep State print and video media also have a policy of prohibiting his name. Calling Eric Ciaramella a "whistleblower" gives him a certain legitimacy. Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire told the House Intelligence Committee, "I believe the whistleblower is operating in good faith, has followed the law."  Maguire claimed, "my job is to support and lead the entire intelligence community. That individual works for me therefore it is my job to make sure that I support and defend that person." He claimed he did not know who the "whistleblower" was, yet he knew he was acting in good faith. Maguire did not mention that he also has a duty to support his employer. Would he still feel obligated to defend an employee if he were a convicted child molester?  Ciaramella is not a whistleblower. He is actually a charlatan. There is an endless supply of Eric Ciaramellas in the federal government. Many of them call themselves the Resistance or members of the Interagency. Members of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau like to refer to themselves as  Dumbledore's Army. Donald Trump is aware of this. He knows how the Deep State operates and possibly structured his phone conversation to the Ukrainian president to expose members of the Deep State. The Deep State media have an entirely different attitude when it comes to their own "whistleblowers."  When Project Veritus released a video of reporter Amy Robach complaining that ABC killed her story on Jeffrey Epstein they went on a hunt for the culprit. They identified a producer, Ashley Bianco, who had left ABC for CBS. They informed their "rival" Deep State network and the women was quickly fired. Bianco denies that she was the leaker. Unfortunately for ABC the actual leaker is possibly still working for ABC. Robach's work on the Epstein affair was not broadcast because Epstein was not newsworthy. Robach claims she was told, "who’s  Jeffry Epstein no one knows who he is." Of course, no one knows who he is because Deep State Media refuses to cover his story. This is the man about whom attorney Brad Edwards claims "there will come a day when we realize Jeffry Epstein was the most prolific pedophile this country has ever known."...

Demo Debate: What Are They Offering?

Nate Jackson:  “I’m leaving the fifth Democratic debate now,” says a campaign fundraising email signed by loose lips liar-Joe Biden. “I hope I made you proud out there and I hope I made it clear to the world why our campaign is so important.” Except, oops! His campaign sent that email Wednesday afternoon, hours before the debate in Atlanta. And in a nutshell, the goof typifies the gaffe-prone campaign of the former vice president, who turned 77 on Wednesday.

There were 10 candidates on stage last night for round five (the seventh night) of Democrat presidential debates. In order of average poll standing, the ones who made the cut were loose lips liar-Joe Biden (27%), Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren (20.3%), commie-Bernie Sanders (18.8%), Pete Buttigieg (8.3%), lowlife-Kamala Harris (4.8%), Andrew Yang (3%), scumbag-Cory Booker (1.8%), Amy Klobuchar (1.8%), Tulsi Gabbard (1.3%), and Tom Steyer (1%). While the Democrat-controlled House was busy with its impeachment circus, these 10 Democrats duked it out for the right to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020 after Democrats inevitably fail to remove him from office.

Here are a few of the, er, highlights:

“We cannot simply be consumed by Donald Trump,” commie-Bernie Sanders warned, “because if you are you’re going to lose the election.” Every Democrat struggled with that dilemma last night. Trump usually does take up most of the oxygen in the room, and Democrats struggled to explain why they had anything to offer besides hating Trump.

One of those plans is the disastrous Medicare for All, which commie-Sanders reminded everyone — again — was his idea, yelling, “I wrote the damn bill!” That’s a pretty tired line already, and it’s not a terribly popular policy.

On other policy, billionaire Tom Steyer promised to “declare a state of emergency on day one” of his presidency to tackle climate change. We’ve warned about this expansive view of executive power; don’t be surprised if the next Democrat president doesn’t, in fact, attempt it.

There was infighting. Pete Buttigieg and scumbag-Cory Booker attacked Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren over healthcare and her punitive wealth tax. lowlife-Kamala Harris went after Tulsi Gabbard for working with Republicans, including — gasp — Donald Trump. lowlife-Harris then immediately proceeded to tell viewers that she will bring America together. The cognitive dissonance was apparently lost on her.

Gabbard attacked … well, every Democrat. For example, she observed yet again that scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton is the “personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.” She added, “Our Democratic Party is unfortunately not the party that is of, by, and for the people.” Gabbard’s sole claim to fame has been the Democrat running against the Democrat Party. Her poll standing shows that strategy isn’t going to win her the party’s nomination, and this was likely her last debate.

lowlife-Harris bragged about her role in opposition the nominations of three men … who were confirmed by the Senate anyway. “I believe we have to have the ability to not only have a nominee who can go toe-to-toe with Donald Trump,” she said. “And I have taken on Jeff Sessions. I have taken on Bill Barr. I have taken on Brett Kavanaugh. I know I have the ability to do that.” And lose.

Predictably, there was plenty of identity politics to go around. Amy Klobuchar complained about how mistreated women are. Several candidates seem to assert that they are the best option to keep more than 90% of blacks voting Democrat. For example, scumbag-Cory Booker vacuously asserted, “I’ve had a lot of experience with black voters. … I’ve been one since I was 18.” Not to be outdone, loose lips liar-Biden insisted, “I’m part of that scumbag/liar-nObama coalition. I come out of a black community in terms of my support.”

Arguably the most bizarre claim of the night was this one boast from Klobuchar: “I raised $17,000 from ex-boyfriends.” How’s that for a 2020 slogan?

On a final note, Buttigieg actually uttered what might be the most interesting and compelling line of the night: “I know that from the perspective of Washington, what goes on in my city [South Bend, Indiana] might look small. But frankly, where we live, the infighting on Capitol Hill is what looks small.” That doesn’t mean the mediocre mayor of a town of 100,000 is qualified to be president of the United States, but it does serve as a reminder that what goes on inside the Beltway isn’t usually the most important thing on the average American’s mind. Nor should it be. Yet Democrats continue to run on and expand that very platform at every opportunity.   ~The Patriot Post
