Trump Clears Democrat Smokescreen
with Removal of Acosta

{ americanthinker.com } ~ Why did Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resign? His supposed “offense” was declining to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein in return for the billionaire sex predator’s guilty plea in state court and concomitant jail sentence... when he was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. That is hardly an offense or even scandalous. It’s a professional decision that prosecutors across the country make every day. You can agree or disagree with it, but it is hardly grounds to lose your next job over. So what is going on here? The least likely possibility is that there really was something scandalous about Acosta’s decision. That he, or one of his subordinates, got something in return for declining to prosecute Epstein over a decade ago, and so Trump got rid of a bad apple. However, there is absolutely no evidence of this at least that has been made public and Acosta’s and subordinates’ actions are perfectly explainable in the absence of illegal inducements. Even if you accept the worst accusations against Acosta coming from Democrats and the mainstream media, that he and his people knuckled under to Epstein’s team of high-powered legal talent, so what? This happens, which is why there aren’t more multimillionaires and billionaires in jail. High-powered legal talent makes a difference. Exhibit A -- a guy named Orenthal James Simpson. That Epstein ended up in prison at all a decade ago is pretty good. Also unlikely is that Trump unloaded Acosta because Trump himself was somehow involved in Epstein’s crimes and needed to throw someone to the wolves. Trump admitted to knowing Epstein, calling him a “terrific guy” at one point. And Epstein evidently spent some time at Trump’s Mar el Lago resort which Trump confirmed Friday. But Trump also threw Epstein out of the resort when an allegation arose against the fellow billionaire, something backed up by other members of the Florida club, and that Trump announced forcefully to the press from the White House. So the most likely explanation is that Trump sacrificed Acosta to penetrate the political smokescreen that the Democrats and media created with the entire Acosta brouhaha. The attack on Acosta was designed to divert attention from the actual involvement of Democrat worthies with Epstein, and most notably former President scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton. Compared to Acosta and Trump, scumbag/liar-Clinton’s relationship with Epstein was and is extremely suspicious, especially given the ex-president’s known sexual predilection shared with Epstein for young women, and predatory tactics for getting the same. Flight logs from Epstein’s private Boeing 727, nicknamed the “Lolita Express,” show that scumbag/liar-Clinton used the aircraft at least 26 times between 2001-2003...

"Sweden is at War"

Forty-five people were killed and 135 injured nationwide... most deaths occurring in Region South, where Malmö is located. In March, the Swedish National Forensic Centre estimated that since 2012, the number of shootings classified as murder or attempted murder has increased by almost 100 percent. The Centre also found that the most popular weapon used in the shootings is the Kalashnikov assault rifle. "It is one of the world's most manufactured weapons and used in many wars," said the Centre's team manager, Mikael Högfors. "When they are no longer needed... they are smuggled into Sweden". In the first six months of 2018, according to the police, almost every other shooting took place in a "vulnerable area", also known as no-go zones. In 2017, a Swedish police report, "Utsatta områden 2017" ("Vulnerable Areas 2017") disclosed that there are 61 such areas in Sweden. They encompass 200 criminal networks, consisting of an estimated 5,000 criminals. Most of the inhabitants are non-Western immigrants and their descendants. The police wrote in the 2017 report that global ethnic conflicts are replicated in the vulnerable areas: "... the Swedish judiciary and the rest of Swedish society do not understand these conflicts or have answers to how they can be solved. The police therefore need to have a better knowledge of the world and understanding of events in order to interpret what is happening in the areas. The presence of returnees, sympathizers for terrorist groups such as the Islamic State, al Qaeda and al-Shabaab, and representatives of Salafist-oriented mosques, contribute to tensions between these groups and other residents in the vulnerable areas. Since the summer of 2014, when a Caliphate was proclaimed in Syria and Iraq, sectarian contradictions have increased, especially between Sunnis, Shiites, Levantine Christians, and nationalists of Kurdish origin". (p 13) On June 3, the police released a new list revealing that there are now 60 such areas, instead of the previous 61. That does not mean, however, that much has improved. On the contrary.In 2019, shootings still continue apace. In Malmö -- a city of more than 300,000 inhabitants, one third of whom were "born abroad" according to the city's statistics -- a 25-year-old man was shot dead outside a social services office on June 10, while on the same day, at Malmö Central Station, police shot a man who said he had a bomb in his bag and was alleged to have behaved in a threatening way. That evening, two men were shot in the Lorensborg area of Malmö. Later that night, two explosions shook the city...

Pushing Back Against Anti-Americanism

Some believe the battle is already lost... Some think violent resistance is the only solution. I disagree with both mindsets. We are a Christian nation founded upon the rock of biblical principles. This is why, unlike any other form of government, our constitution has survived over 243 years. It is up to each of us to pray, asking God to reveal our personal role in restoring America back to His original intention for our exceptional great nation. In the gospel song, “Ordinary People” the lyric says, “Your little becomes much when you place it in the Master's hand.” My younger brother is a perfect example of this truth. He is a deacon in a church in Baltimore with an all-black congregation. His pastor and the congregation hate Trump and Republicans and trend towards anti-Americanism. On numerous occasions, my black Republican brother has confronted his pastor and fellow parishioners about how their loyalty to the Democratic party conflicts with their supposed commitment to Jesus Christ and biblical teachings. Their response has been to impugn him, calling him an Uncle Tom. A church member laughed at my brother for wearing a tiny American flag lapel pin. My brother said rather than leaving his church of 25 years, he feels led to stay to provide salt and light. He teaches a class at church for new Christians, taking every opportunity to explain how the Democrat's agenda is contrary to God's agenda. My brother said that more and more members are secretly coming to him, thanking him for opening their eyes to the truth. Praise God. This is how we restore America, folks, each of us doing what we can from where we are. In his own way, my brother is pushing back. For decades, Republicans and Christians have passively allowed leftists to infect our youth with anti-Americanism and instill a culture of glorified debauchery while systemically secularizing our government. Appearing before the House Oversight Committee, the far-left freshman congresswoman asked to be put under oath, prompting a confused panel chairman scumbag-Elijah Cummings (D-MD) to remind her the move was not necessary. “We usually don’t require a swearing-in, but you want to be sworn in?” scumbag-Cummings asked. “Yes,” commie-Ocasio-Cortez replied solemnly. During the course of her testimony, commie-Ocasio-Cortez reiterated many of the allegations she and other Democrats made in recent weeks about the conditions of detention centers and treatment of migrants. Among the claims, the 29-year-old said she still believes border patrol agents told women in one facility to drink toilet water. “When these women tell me they were put into a cell and their sink was not working — and we tested the sink ourselves and the sink was not working and they were told to drink out of the toilet bowl — I believe them,” she said. “What’s worse, Mr. Chairman, was the fact that there were American flags hanging all over these facilities. Pell Grant mission creep: How a federal
program for low-income families
expanded to the middle class

{ aei.org } ~ The federal government has provided Pell Grants to low-income families to help pay for an undergraduate education since the 1970s... Today, the program disburses roughly $28 billion in aid to 6.6 million undergraduate students per year. The maximum grant that a student may receive in the 2018–19 academic year is $6,095, an amount that lawmakers set annually. A common talking point among advocacy organizations and lawmakers is that the purchasing power of a Pell Grant has failed to keep up with rising college prices. They point to the 1970s, early in the program’s history, when the maximum grant was enough to cover nearly 80 percent of the cost of attending a typical public four-year university. While lawmakers have routinely increased the grant, college tuition and living expenses have outpaced those increases. Today the maximum grant covers about 29 percent of college attendance costs, which advocates note is the lowest share in the program’s history. Many advocates call for restoring the value of the Pell Grant to cover the same share of college prices today as it did in the mid-1970s. They argue that this would help more low-income students attend college and reduce debt burdens. What they do not say is that such a change would also transform the Pell Grant program into a generous benefit for middle-income and even upper-income households. Eligibility is based on a sliding scale that incorporates the maximum grant size rather than on absolute income limits; as the maximum grant rises, students from families with incrementally higher incomes become eligible. For example, if lawmakers increased the maximum grant to $16,855, thereby restoring its purchasing power to 1970s levels based on college prices, many students from families earning $90,000 or more would qualify for grants. That would make the program unnecessarily and prohibitively costly because the funds flowing to those families would do nothing to advance college affordability for the low-income students who the program is supposed to assist. Leftmedia Mocks Trump's Social-Media SummitThomas Gallatin: President Donald Trump is hosting his White House Social Media Summit today, an invitation-only event billed by the president as addressing the subject of “the tremendous dishonesty, bias, discrimination and suppression practiced by certain companies.” Those companies are assumed to be Big Tech — Alphabet (which owns Google and YouTube), Facebook, and Twitter — all of whom many conservatives and other non-mainstream news organizations have called out for anti-free-speech censorship practices.
The list of invites includes social-media personalities such as citizen-journalist Tim Pool, Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe, and Turning Point USA leader Charlie Kirk, as well as representatives from organizations like Prager University, Media Research Center, The Heritage Foundation, and several others.
In what has become standard practice, Leftmedia activists masquerading as journalists reported on the story by labeling the list of invitees as nothing but a bunch of “right-wing extremists,” “conspiracy theorists,” and “far-right agitators.” No wonder so many Americans are sympathetic to Trump’s calling the mainstream media what it is: “fake news.”
The fact of the matter is that mounting evidence supporting the accusation that Big Tech is intentionally censoring conservative content is undeniable. However, in the same way that the MSM has claimed its own reporting is not impacted by bias, both the media and the tech companies assert that the charges of censorship are little more than the hyperbolic rambling of right-wing conspiracy theorists. MSM pontificators see themselves as the only legitimate arbiters of “news” and “journalism” and are loathe to acknowledge the legitimacy of any new media citizen-journalist whose reporting and viewpoints don’t comport with their own leftist worldview. Thus, the very fact that Trump would deign to take seriously and listen to the complaints of censorship voiced by various members of the new media induces only scorn and ridicule from the mainstream press.
Fortunately, Trump is not beholden to the whims of the mainstream-media establishment. Indeed, he relishes calling out the Leftmedia over its biased “fake news.” It will be interesting to see what comes of this summit today, although it is unlikely that any immediate action would be expected.
