The ability of the left-wing propaganda machine to demean any action by the Trump administration is on full display following the decision by Vice President Mike Pence to leave an NFL game because players knelt during the National Anthem.
Pence and his wife Karen attended the Indianapolis Colts Sunday game that was going to honor former quarterback Payton Manning by retiring his football jersey.
A group of the opposing players from the San Francisco 49ers knelt during the National Anthem and the vice president and his wife left the game.
The Washington Post reports on the decision by Pence:
“I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us,” he said in a statement. “While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem. I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem.”
Following the news coverage of Pence, the left-wing propaganda machine swung into action and called the vice president’s action an expensive “stunt.”

“This was orchestrated to make a point?” Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, asked on Twitter. “That’s not an inexpensive thing to do.”
MSNBC program “Morning Joe” continued to promote the expensive stunt message point:

MSNBC’s Steve Schmidt kicked things off: “It’s truly amazing. So he took Air Force 2, full package of Secret Service from Las Vegas to Indianapolis for a stunt, inconvenienced tens of thousands of Colts fans.”
“To, again, use the flag and the anthem as a prop,” Schmidt said. “And the greatest desecration of that flag is the assault on its foundational values which occurs every day with this administration with their attacks on the spirit of the First Amendment, freedom of the press, freedom of expression.”

Finally, a 49ers player also called it a stunt:
And 49ers safety Eric Reid, who was one of the players to start kneeling with Kaepernick in 2016, told reporters that he thought the whole thing was a ‘PR stunt.’
‘So this looks like a PR stunt to me,’ he said in a post-game interview.
‘He knew our team has the most players protest[ing]. He knew that we were probably going to do it again. This is what systematic oppression looks like.
