{ thefederalist.com } ~ With the likely conclusion of Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff’s impeachment proceedings, it’s worth taking a step back and looking at how things went for the majority Democrats... and minority Republicans on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Democrats ideally would have started their inquiry with credible bipartisan support and run things in such a way that public opinion developed in their favor. Public opinion would build pressure on Republican members toward an impeachment vote that had even stronger bipartisan credibility. That did not come even close to happening. To begin with, not only was the vote to begin proceedings not bipartisan, there was bipartisan opposition to it. Polling initially looked promising for impeachment, with media outlets attempting to claim significant bipartisan support for inquiry and removal, but then the polling moved in the wrong direction for Democrats. Emerson polling showed that support for impeachment flipped since October from 48 percent support with 44 percent opposing to now 45 percent opposed and 43 percent in support. Among key independents, the switch was even more pronounced. In October, 48 percent supported impeaching President Donald Trump, with 39 percent opposed. Now, 49 percent of independents oppose impeachment, while only 34 percent support it. A new Marquette University Law School poll found that 40 percent of registered voters in the swing state of Wisconsin think that Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while 53 percent do not think so. Another 6 percent weren’t sure. A new Gallup poll shows that Trump’s approval has ticked up two points since the impeachment drama began, with 50 percent of Americans opposed to it and 48 percent in support. Henry Olsen notes that Gallup polls all adults, not just registered voters, meaning that a poll of registered voters would have Trump’s job approval even higher and impeachment opposed by closer to a 52-46 margin...   https://thefederalist.com/2019/11/22/how-republicans-won-phase-one-of-impeachment/
Fiona Hill: Russians Could
 Have ‘Played’ Christopher Steele

{ dailycaller.com } ~ Former National Security Council official Fiona Hill told Congress on Thursday that Russians likely “played” Christopher Steele... the former British spy whose anti-Trump dossier the FBI used to conduct surveillance against the Trump campaign. Appearing during the Trump impeachment hearings, Hill reportedly testified that she believed Steele’s investigation of President Donald Trump “was a rabbit hole.” Hill’s testimony about Steele was just a small sample of what she said about the former British spy during a closed-door deposition Nov. 14. In that interview, Hill told lawmakers she was “shocked” to learn Steele was the author of the dossier. She also said he was vulnerable to potential Russian disinformation because he was “constantly trying to drum up business” in the numerous meetings they had while she was a scholar at the Brookings Institution.  Hill said she last met Steele in 2016, and that she was not aware at the time he was investigating Trump. She also explicitly stated that Russians might have fed Steele with disinformation in order to put a cloud over an eventual Trump presidency. Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm working for the DNC and scumbag/liar-Clinton campaign, hired Steele in April 2016 to investigate Trump’s possible ties to Russia. He produced 17 memos that alleged a massive conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Kremlin operatives. The special counsel’s report undermined many of Steele’s major allegations. Attorney General William Barr testified May 1 that he was “concerned” that the dossier was Russian disinformation. Hill was heavily critical of Steele, as well as the media, during her closed-door testimony...

scumbag-Soros' influence pops

by wnd.com ~ A key witness in the Democratic impeachment investigation, former National Security Council official Fiona Hill, worked for scumbag-George Soros' Open Society Institute and has connections to Christopher Steele... the former British spy who compiled the infamous "unverified and salacious" dossier of Democratic Party-funded opposition research on Donald Trump. The Gateway Pundit reported a former Trump adviser accused Hill in 2017 of being a "deep state spy" in the White House under then National Security Adviser Gen. H.R. McMaster." Along with working for the Open Society Institute from 2000 to 2006, Hill has known Steele for years, beginning when Hill was working on Russia at the National Intelligence Council and Steele was on MI6's Russia desk. Hill also was on the rostrum of speakers at the Aspen Institute Security Forum in July 2017 along with House Intelligence Chairman scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff. And Hill has connections to Joseph Mifsud, the mysterious Maltese professor who met with Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos in London. The Washington Examiner noted that Hill told the House Intelligence Committee she could not remember the name of the Ukraine director when she joined the White House. That person was Eric Ciaramella, the career CIA analyst who is alleged to be the Ukraine whistleblower. One of the outlets for scumbag-Soros' vast wealth, according to the Washington Times,  apparently is the far-left Sixteen Thirty Fund. The paper said: "Tax filings from scumbag-Soros’ Open Society Policy Center show tens of thousands of dollars have been granted to the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a 501(C)4 initiative that provides money for left-leaning social and environmental issues. In 2015 tax filings, for instance, the scumbag-Soros OSPC revealed it funneled $550,000 to the Sixteen Thirty Fund — an amount that put this initiative at the top 10 of OSPC contributions that year. "In 2018, Demand Justice burst on the scene to 'stop Trump's SCOTUS nominee, Brett Kavanaugh,' as it wrote on its own website. What’s Demand Justice? As the Center for Responsive Politics on its OpenSecrets.org site put it, Demand Justice is a 'newer liberal 'dark money' group' that 'launched a digital ad campaign against Trump’s judicial picks in May 2018.'" The report said that tie between scumbag-Soros and Sixteen Thirty Eight "is just one prong on this massive leftist wave aimed at taking down President Donald Trump — taking down Republicans in the midterms — and ultimately, putting a stop to conservative agendas."...  https://www.wnd.com/2019/11/soros-influence-pops-dem-impeachment-drive/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=wnd-newsletter&utm_campaign=dailyam&utm_content=newsletter

{ dailycaller.com } ~ Former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden on Thursday ripped into a reporter who asked for comment on the news that his son Hunter Biden fathered an out-of-wedlock child with a woman in Arkansas... A DNA test found that Hunter, 49, is the father of Lunden Alexis Roberts’s child, according to a motion filed Wednesday in Arkansas. The 28-year-old filed a petition for a paternity test and support for her 1-year-old back in May, the Daily Mail previously  reported. Hunter denied the allegations in August and asked the court to dismiss all petitions. Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked loose lips liar-Biden to comment Thursday on the Arkansas court filing, prompting the former vice president to scold the journalist for his question. “Do you have a comment on this report and court filing out of Arkansas that your son Hunter just made you a grandfather?” Doocy can be heard saying off camera. “No, that’s a private matter, I have no comment. But only you would ask that. You’re a good man, you’re a good man. Classy,” loose lips liar-Joe Biden responded, smiling. The paternity news broke shortly before Wednesday’s fifth Democratic debate, though the elder loose lips liar-Biden’s new grandchild wasn’t mentioned during the debate. Hunter Biden reportedly fathered the child while dating his deceased brother’s widow, Hallie Biden. They broke up in April and Hunter Biden married Melissa Cohen in May, according to Business Insider. Roberts said in the November court filing that the baby’s “paternal grandfather” is loose lips liar-Joe Biden, who is considered “by some to be the person most likely to win his party’s nomination and challenge President Trump on the ballot in 2020.”  Team Trump, the Twitter for President Donald Trump’s campaign, congratulated loose lips liar-Biden on his new grandchild Wednesday.

{ fdd.org } ~ Qatar had advance knowledge on an Iranian attack on four commercial vessels in the Gulf of Oman in May and may have failed to warn its U.S., French and British allies, a western intelligence report alleges... The report, obtained exclusively by Fox News, claims that Qatar had prior knowledge of the May 12 attack of two Saudi tankers, a Norwegian tanker and a UAE bunkering ship near the port of Fujairah in the vital waterway, which connects the Strait of Hormuz to the Indian Ocean, near the United Arab Emirates. “Credible intelligence reports indicate that the IRGC-Quds Forces Naval unit is responsible for the Fujairah Port attacks, and the elements of civilian government of Iran, as well as the State of Qatar, were aware of the IRGC’s activities,” the report said. The U.S. has classified Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a foreign terrorist organization. A U.S. Department of Defense spokesman reached for comment by Fox News said: “We do not discuss matters of intelligence.” Lawmakers from two European NATO powers told Fox News that it would demand answers to the report from their respective governments. Nathalie Goulet, a member of the French senate and a major figure in European counterterrorism, told Fox News via email that she was “very concerned” after seeing the intelligence report. “I intend to raise questions with colleagues in other countries with strong connections in the Middle East such as Britain and with our government,” she said. “I will send the report to the head of the security department and also the minister of defense.”...  https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2019/11/16/qatar-had-prior-knowledge-of-iran-attack-on-vessels-failed-to-tell-allies-report/

{ fdd.org } ~ In Gaza, last week, Israel fought a battle but not against Hamas. That’s the news. The rest will be commentary. The battle was between Israel and a group known as Palestinian Islamic Jihad... or PIJ pronounced like the first syllable of pigeon, a terrorist organization so designated by the U.S., the E.U., and others whose goal is burn Israel to the ground and establish an Islamic state on its ashes. PIJ is Hamas’s ally, but also Hamas’ rival. Estimated to have 6,000 fighters compared to Hamas’ 30,000-man army, it was founded by Palestinians inspired by the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran. Since then, it has been supported and directed by the theocrats in Tehran who regard the annihilation of Israel as a goal that unites Islamists, whether Shia like themselves, or Sunni such as PIJ and Hamas. Hamas is more tolerant of PIJ than of its Sunni ally/rival, Fatah, the controlling faction in the Palestinian Authority. In 2007, Hamas and the PA/Fatah went to war over who would rule Gaza. When the smoke cleared and the blood dried, Hamas was the victor, and today PA President Mahmoud Abbas dares not set foot on Gazan soil. While Hamas leaders also look to Tehran for backing and are respectful of the ruling mullahs, they do not welcome PIJ escalating the conflict with Israel either on orders from those mullahs or its own initiative. The conflict last week is the result of PIJ doing exactly that. In the past, Israel has enforced a rule: Since Hamas controls Gaza, Hamas will be held responsible for any attacks coming from that territory. This time around, Israel made an exception...  https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2019/11/20/careless-in-gaza/

Political Editors:  FedEx paid no corporate federal income tax in 2018, The New York Times reported over the weekend, howling that this was due to the 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act, passed by congressional Republicans without a single Democrat vote and signed by President Donald Trump. Recall that the tax cut reduced the corporate tax rate from 35% to a more globally competitive 21%. And this tax cut has been one of the primary factors for spurring America’s current economic growth.

Like so many leftists, however, the Times disparages the tax law by insisting that it unfairly benefits only the wealthy. “FedEx reaped big savings, bringing its effective tax rate from 34 percent in fiscal year 2017 to less than zero in fiscal year 2018, meaning that, overall, the government technically owed it money,” the Times claims, adding, “But it did not increase investment in new equipment and other assets in the fiscal year that followed, as [FedEx CEO Frederic] Smith said businesses like his would.”

Smith called out the Times for its hypocrisy. He noted the rich irony of the Times blasting FedEx when the Times itself “paid zero federal income tax in 2017 on earnings of $111 million, and only $30 million in 2018 — 18% of their pretax book income.” The Times did not dispute it. Kettle meet pot.

Furthermore, Smith challenged the Times to a debate over taxes, writing, “I hereby challenge A.G. Sulzberger, publisher of the New York Times and the business section editor to a public debate in Washington, DC with me and the FedEx corporate vice president of tax. The focus of the debate should be federal tax policy and the relative societal benefits of business investments and the enormous intended benefits to the United States economy, especially lower and middle class wage earners.”

Once again, leftists like the hacks at the Times display their fundamentally anti-American view that the government has more right to an individual’s or company’s hard-earned money than the earners do. As J. Frank Bullitt observes, “The greediest people on Earth are not those who earn wages, salaries, and profits and wish to keep what they made — it’s the lawmakers who want to forcibly take what belongs to others and use it for their own purposes.”   ~The Patriot Post
