Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s FISA
report could help Republicans battle impeachment

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has yet to release his long-awaited report on the alleged government surveillance and FISA court abuses that occurred during the investigation into President Trump’s 2016 campaign... But recent leaks suggest the report won’t be the bombshell Republicans are looking for. From what we do know of Horowitz’s report, the most damning allegation is that FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith altered a FISA document related to the FBI’s wiretapping of Carter Page, a Trump campaign associate. Clinesmith’s actions were highly illegal, which is why Horowitz has referred his findings to prosecutors for a potential criminal charge. But they did not undermine the overall credibility of the intelligence community’s investigation, Horowitz has reportedly concluded. Indeed, many of Horowitz’s conclusions confirm that though there was wrongdoing on the part of lower-level FBI officials, the legitimacy of the investigation still stands, according to sources familiar with the report. If these leaks are true, then Horowitz’s report won’t be the bombshell that Trump’s allies had hoped for. But as long as it confirms two things — that the intelligence community was willing to cut corners and use unreliable information against Trump, and that few upper-level officials bothered to hold bad actors such as Clinesmith accountable — Republicans will be able to use it to Trump’s advantage.Trump is currently fighting an impeachment investigation that once again depends on allegations and testimony from the intelligence community. If Republicans are able to point to specific examples of systemic abuse in these agencies, they could use Horowitz’s report to undermine the legitimacy of the Democrats’ efforts. Much of the Republicans' defense already depends on this premise, but concrete evidence could make it stronger. With that said, Horowitz’s report might not change anything, even if Republicans do seek to use it. The Democrats won’t be interested in the report’s contents, consumed as they are with impeachment. And in the Senate, the case for impeachment is already lost. Horowitz is set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Dec. 11. He might offer a bombshell, or he might not. Either way, his findings on unaccountability and unreliable sourcing will likely help Republicans more than Democrats. Judiciary Chairman scumbag liar-Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said in a statement that “our first task is to explore the framework put in place to respond to serious allegations of impeachable misconduct like those against President Trump,” The Hill reported. The hearing was dubbed “the Impeachment Inquiry into President Donald J. Trump: Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment” and will include legal experts to apply constitutional law to “facts that have been found,” the report said. scumbag liar-Nadler also sent a letter (pdf) to Trump and said his committee will allow the hearing to provide an “opportunity to discuss the historical and constitutional basis of impeachment, as well as the Framers’ intent and understanding of terms like ‘high crimes and misdemeanors.'” “We will also discuss whether your alleged actions warrant the House’s exercising its authority to adopt articles of impeachment,” the letter read. scumbag liar-Nadler also said he hopes that Trump and his counsel will participate in the Judiciary Committee hearing. { washingtonexaminer.com } ~ The alleged Ukraine whistleblower did not disclose on his complaint form that he had met with a congressional committee despite contacting a House Intelligence Committee aide on scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff’s staff before filing the complaint... because nothing of "substance" was discussed. According to documents reviewed by CBS News, the whistleblower contacted the Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson on Oct. 8 to explain the details of his prior meeting with Democratic majority staff of the House Intelligence Committee before the complaint was filed. In his Aug. 12 complaint, the whistleblower claimed President Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to order an investigation into a corrupt Ukrainian energy company that the son of his potential political opponent, former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden, was working for. The follow-up contact with Atkinson happened three days after it was discovered he had not informed the ICIG of his communications with the scumbag/liar-Schiff aide before he filed his complaint. His contact with Atkinson happened on the same day news broke that he previously worked with a 2020 Democratic candidate, which was later reported by the Washington Examiner to be former vice president loose lips liar-Joe Biden. Confirming he had contacted the committee, the whistleblower claimed that nothing significant had been discussed and that the committee aide told him to go through official channels, according to the Oct. 18 " Memorandum of Investigative Activity" that was given to House and Senate Intelligence Committee leadership by Atkinson. The memo described the committee aide telling the alleged whistleblower to: "'Do it right, hire a lawyer, and contact the ICIG.' So that is what the COMPLAINANT did. At the time, COMPLAINANT did not even know what the ICIG was."....

{ thehill.com } ~ Two staffers for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) resigned after expressing frustrations about a hold on military assistance to Ukraine... that is now at the center of the impeachment inquiry, a witness has testified.Mark Sandy, an OMB staffer, testified this month that the two staffers, one of whom was in the legal division, had resigned partially due to frustrations with the unexplained aid freeze, according to a transcript of his testimony released Tuesday. Sandy recalled that one individual who resigned had "expressed some frustrations about not understanding the reason for the hold," according to the transcript, but he noted that he was "reluctant to speak to someone else's motivations."He was also asked whether the OMB legal division employee said they were leaving "at least in part because of their concerns on frustrations about the hold on Ukraine security assistance." "Yes, in terms of that process, in part," Sandy responded. The officials were not named in the transcript. A senior administration official categorized the assertion that the two officials resigned in part over the aid freeze as false in an email to The Hill. Trump puts Kushner in charge
of overseeing border wall construction

{ thehill.com } ~ President Trump has put his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in charge of overseeing the construction of the border wall... The Washington Post reported Monday. Current and former administration officials told the Post that Kushner has taken the lead on the wall construction project, holding biweekly meetings covering the progress of the wall, contractor data, the location of the wall and how funding is being used. Kushner is reportedly pressuring U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to speed up the process of obtaining private land along the U.S.-Mexico border to build the wall. The president’s son-in-law is reportedly pushing to get 450 miles of barriers along the border finished before the 2020 election. Officials told the Post that more than 800 filings to seize private property need to be made to make that happen. Kushner has frustrated officials with his lack of knowledge about government and his high expectations for the timeline, some told the Post. “So he took a much more hands-on role in figuring out, mile by mile, how to get more wall up,” a person involved with the construction told the Post. “It didn’t help put wall up faster and cheaper. His interventions actually just created more inefficiency in the process.” Senior administration officials told the Post that Kushner has attributed the delay in the wall construction to former chief of staff John Kelly and former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. { meforum.org } ~ Last Wednesday's attack on Jewish students meeting at Toronto's York University was no surprise for many of us who have seen the rise of hostility against Jews on university campuses across Canada... The Jewish students meeting had the required permission from university authorities. However, despite that they were accosted by members of York's 'Students Against Israeli Apartheid' (SAIA), comprising mostly of Muslim students of Arab and Pakistani heritage along with their leftist allies; an alliance sometimes described as the 'Sharia-Bolsheviks.' A near brawl ensued with one student injured. Videos posted online show anti-Jewish protesters — some concealing their faces in niqab-style scarves — shouting "viva, viva Intifada," which gives Hamas slogans a Che Guevara panache. The violence against Jewish students at York University was roundly denounced by human rights Jewish group Bnai Brith. Michael Mostyn, their CEO, said: "Enraged mobs cannot be allowed to prevent lawful and peaceful gatherings from taking place on campus," he added. Mostyn added that: "Further investigation is required into how a registered student group was permitted to glorify terrorism and attempt to intimidate those peacefully assembling on campus. Political Editors: File another story under the Tall Tales of Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren’s Phony Biography. This time, she says her son went to public school when in fact he attended private school.
“The 2020 Democratic candidate last week appeared to deny that she sent either of her two children to a private school,” writes the Washington Examiner’s Becket Adams. “The problem is that Warren did indeed send her son, Alex, to a private school in Texas starting at about 5th grade.”
dinky/liar-Warren, like most Democrats, opposes school choice because she’s backed by teachers’ unions. But Warren also wants blacks to vote for her, and school choice is popular among the black community because it is their kids who suffer most in failing urban schools. A black school-choice proponent confronted dinky/liar-Warren, saying, “We are going to have the same choice that you had for your kids, because I read that your children went to private schools.” Warren replied simply, “My children went to public schools.”
The lie was one of omission. Her son did attend public school … until he didn’t. Yet, like her handmaid’s tale of being let go from a teaching job because she was pregnant, this lie was meant to bolster her “street cred” with the desired constituency group.
Warren’s lies about her supposed Cherokee ancestry advanced her academic career. She’s now fibbing about her biography in other ways for political gain. But we’re supposed to trust her to manage our healthcare and our taxes and our schools and our entitlements and every other thing under the sun for which she has “a plan”? Hard pass.
