Hypocrite Commiela Harris Scolds Nielsen for Enforcing the Border
{ rickwells.us } ~ Exhibiting some of the most grotesque hypocrisy encountered in the sewer that is the United States Senate... Democrat Kamala “Commiela” Harris, had the nerve to condescendingly lecture DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, saying, “As I sit here today I am extremely concerned about the administration’s repeated attacks on some of the most vulnerable communities, and in particular children and pregnant women.” This comes from a woman who fully endorses abortion on demand up until virtually the time the child is due for its first diaper change, the most egregious attack on a child imaginable, one that results in certain death, and one that often leaves emotional scars on the guilt-ridden women for life. The fact that she does so against the administration that has done more to protect unborn children than any other in history only underscores what filthy vermin she and her fellow Democrats are, and Harris is one of the nastiest. The former Attorney General of California completely disregards US immigration law, speaking as if enforcement is a mean-spirited personal attack by government thugs who are out to randomly prey upon “innocent people.” She depicts the administration’s efforts to rescind the illegal and unconstitutional DACA program as an unprovoked attack, completely misrepresenting what are international immigration practices... https://rickwells.us/commiela-harris-nielsen-border/.

Her career, at the tender age of 28, has accelerated to the point of making the Nancy Pulosis and Chuck clown-Schumers very nervous, given her growing national popularity to ignite ideological warfare among leftist-indoctrinated blacks, including Millennials on college campuses. She treads where few conservatives are willing to go, especially white Republicans. "We need to get off the mad-Maxine Waters plantation," says Owens, taking aim at one of the most accomplished race-baiters in the Black Caucus. The new concept, says Owens, is to hold Democrats "accountable" for their "shameful" record of service to America, speaking as communications director of Turning Point USA. mad-Waters's abysmal political career of 27 years (repeat: 27 years) remains enshrined in a district (Compton, Calif.) teeming with local corruption and shocking levels of criminal activity. Michelle Goldberg Throwing Up Her Hate

{ americanthinker.com } ~ If you follow New York newspapers, which I do as someone who grew up there... a key question the last day or two was who was more offensive, bigoted, ignorant and disgusting concerning the American embassy opening and the violence on the Gaza border with Israel. Michelle Goldberg, a New York Times columnist , or the people who prepare the front page headlines in the New York Daily News? Take your pick: the Daily News or Goldberg. I vote for Goldberg. It is hard to know where to begin to unpack her lies and deceptions, but let’s try a few. Goldberg. A massacre? Really? There have been such events in the history of the Arab Israeli conflict, almost all committed by Goldberg’s favorite team, Palestinian terrorists, but this was not one of them. Goldberg seems to regard a battle as a massacre if the casualties and damage were mostly on one side, the Arab side. In other words, to avoid being labeled a massacre, she would need some dead Jews for balance if Palestinians are getting killed. It is hard to tell, however, what would be an acceptable kill ratio for her or the “paper of record.” Two Jews for every Arab? Two Arabs for every Jew? Urgent Open Letter to UN Secretary General António Gutteres

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ Since the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs] three years ago, and with only 12 years until 2030... little has been done to put the extremely poor in the path of their implementation. The poor are still being left on the sidelines. In a remote area like ours, in eastern Uganda, there is not a single event, as a result of the SDGs, happening on the ground, to end poverty. Our struggles are the same as before. On the one hand, getting a voice heard from a secluded part of the earth, like ours, is virtually impossible. On the other hand, even the many SDG-themed programs that have come up, such as the SDG Action Campaign or the SDG Fund, have maintained a distance between their work and the people living at the bottom of the pyramid, and have thus brought nothing new along with them to emancipate the poorest of the poor. What voids the SDGs' 2030 Agenda to "leave no one behind by 2030" the most, for those of us who live on $2/day, is: even post-2015, the same ideals that undermined the Millennium Development Goals [MDGs] – which "commits world leaders to combat poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation, and discrimination against women. The MDGs are derived from this Declaration, and all have specific targets and indicators."....
An Epigram to Israel's "Honorable" People

{ israeltoday.co.il } ~ Hamas' mass infiltration attempt came up against the IDF's zero tolerance "iron wall," resulting in some 60 Gazans killed along the coastal enclave's border fence... Still, despite the declared purpose of this "peaceful demonstration," not a few Israelis were horrified by the number of Palestinian causalities, most of whom, they say, posed no real threat to Israel. Among those lamenting the deaths of their enemies was Hebrew University Prof. Amiram Goldblum, a known figure among the left-wing "Peace Now" crowd, who wrote the following on his Facebook page: "You are called to sign a petition that calls for international intervention to stop the massacre of unarmed demonstrators who pose no threat to Israel, and to put our leaders on trial, first among them the Defense Minister. Every honorable person must react, now, to the massacre in Gaza." I have no idea what causes honorable people to think that Mohammed who cuts the fence with wire-cutters, Ahmad who flies a blazing kite into Israeli fields, or Mahmoud who dresses up as a woman in hopes of kidnapping an unwary Israeli soldier, are innocent demonstrators whose only wish is to take their families for a picnic in the fields of Kibbutz Nahal Oz. But I do know that there are ample examples of humanity's crème de la crème who thought that sticking their heads into the lion's mouth is an honorable gesture....

with 'restraint' in Gaza response

{ jewishworldreview.com } ~ The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations on Tuesday said Israel had reacted with restraint in its military response to protesters at the Gaza border and dismissed suggestions the violence was caused by the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.
Nikki Haley told the Security Council that Hamas, backed by Iran, had incited the violence by urging protesters over loudspeakers to burst through the fence separating the borders and flying kites into Israel with molotov cocktails attached.
"I ask my colleagues here in the Security Council: Who among us would accept this type of activity on your border?" Haley said. "No one would. No country in this chamber would act with more restraint than Israel has."
The emergency meeting of the Security Council was called by Kuwait to discuss the unrest at Israel's border with Gaza that has killed at least 60 Palestinians and left thousands wounded after Israeli soldiers and snipers fired into a surging crowd of demonstrators Monday. It was the deadliest day for Gaza in years and came amid celebrations of a U.S. mission in Jerusalem being officially converted into an embassy.
The debate underscored the gulf between the United States and Israel on one side and most other countries on the other in their assessments of six weeks of escalating tensions at the Gaza border about 40 miles from Jerusalem.
From U.S. allies to adversaries, most ambassadors added their opposition to the U.S. Embassy move to their remarks on the violence.
"The unilateral decision by the United States to move its embassy to Jerusalem does nothing but inflame spirits," said Sacha Llorenti, Bolivia's envoy. "The United States, which supports the occupying power, has become an obstacle to peace. It has become part of the problem, not part of the solution."
Karen Pierce, the British ambassador, expressed support for an investigation into Monday's killings, then stated London's position on the U.S. Embassy's opening.
"Our position on the status of Jerusalem and moving the American embassy is well known," she said. "The status of Jerusalem should be determined in a negotiated settlement between Israel and Palestinians, and Jerusalem should ultimately be the shared capital of the Israeli and Palestinian states."
The envoys from China, Sweden and the Netherlands also went out of their way to reiterate their government's position that Jerusalem's status should be left to negotiations and their intention to keep their embassies in Tel Aviv.
Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian representative at the United Nations, said the embassy opening had violated international law and Security Council resolutions.
"No one has the right to imperil our territory and place an embassy in a territory under occupation," he said.
Haley, speaking at the beginning of the session, said the location of the U.S. Embassy has no bearing on whatever Israelis and Palestinians might negotiate and described the opening of the facility as "a cause for celebration."
"It reflects the will of the American people," she said. "It reflects our sovereign right to decide the location of our embassy. Importantly, moving our embassy to Jerusalem also reflects the reality that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. . . . Recognizing this reality makes real peace more achievable, not less."
Haley and Danny Danon, Israel's U.N. ambassador, accused Iran of helping foment the violent and deadly clashes along the border with Gaza.
"We do have indications of Iranian funding into Hamas," said Danon, talking to reporters before the Security Council meeting.
"We know the riots are well organized, well funded and well orchestrated by Hamas," he added. "Iran is supporting the riots in Gaza."
But the main focus of the debate was the violence at the Israeli-Gaza border. Many ambassadors recognized Israel's right to defend itself and denounced Hamas for encouraging protesters to storm the gate.
All, however, said Israel bears a responsibility to keep its response proportionate and not use live ammunition on civilians.
Lethal force should be exercised with restraint," said Olof Skoog, Sweden's representative.
Mansour al-Otaibi, the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United Nations, said he would circulate another draft resolution Wednesday calling for the United Nations to provide protection for civilians in Gaza. He said it would be short of a peacekeeping force, however.
Francois Delattre, the French ambassador, said the violence threatens to engulf the region.
"The situation in the Middle East is close to a perfect storm," he said. "What is happening in Gaza only reinforces radical and potentially terrorist organizations in the region."
Washington and Jerusalem have blamed the violence squarely on Hamas. The White House has refrained from calling for Israel to exercise restraint, and it characterized the use of live ammunition on the protesters an act of self-defense.
Danon lambasted Hamas, saying it "values destruction over prosperity, death over peace," and had willingly placed its own people in the line of fire to score propaganda points.
He asked the members of the Security Council to put themselves in Israel's shoes.
"What would you do, each one of you, if a violent mob of tens of thousands were threatening your sovereign borders?" he said. "What would you do if your people were faced with terror attacks day in and day out? You must not give in to the cycle of death the Palestinians have created. You must call out lies when you see them."
But the actions of Israeli troops, and the U.S. refusal to even express regret for the loss of life, has left both countries isolated amid growing condemnations that Israel used excessive force against the protesters, many of whom were unarmed.
A U.N. human rights official on Tuesday called for an independent probe of more than 100 deaths and thousands of injuries since March 30.
"We urge maximum restraint. . . . Enough is enough," Rupert Colville, spokesman for U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, told reporters in Geneva. Colville said that lethal force should be "a measure of last - not first - resort."
