{ thenewamerican.com } ~ The Trump administration's proposed 2019 fiscal year budget calls for significant cuts to U.S. taxpayer funding of the United Nations and some of its most anti-American, anti-freedom agencies and programs... A number of controversial UN outfits would lose all U.S. tax money. Overall, though, the proposal would cut just a third of the “International Affairs Budget,” which funds foreign aid, diplomacy, and international organizations such as the UN. Globalists and pro-UN liberals were outraged by the proposal, demanding that Republican leaders in Congress refuse to support the cuts. But grassroots conservatives and leaders suggested that steeper cuts or even a full U.S. withdrawal from the UN would be a better way to advance Trump's publicly articulated “America First” agenda. In total, Trump is seeking almost $42 billion for the so-called International Affairs Budget. That may sound like a massive amount of money, and it is — especially considering that the U.S. government remains $20 trillion in the red and has an estimated $200 trillion in unfunded liabilities. But compared with 2017 numbers, the last budget enacted before Trump took office, that is a 30 percent cut, down from almost $60 billion. The proposed budget also significantly reins in U.S. funding for the UN's disgraced “peace” armies, which have developed a well-deserved global reputation for raping children and terrorizing populations in every nation they occupy. Under Trump's plan, Contributions for International Peacekeeping Activities (CIPA) would go from almost $2 billion in 2017 to about $1.2 billion in 2019, according to an analysis by the rabidly pro-UN “Better World Campaign.”...  https://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/foreign-policy/item/28282-trump-s-un-budget-cuts-funding-some-agencies-would-get-zero

{ foxnews.com } ~ Then-FBI Director James Comey reportedly told lawmakers last March that agents did not think former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn lied to them... raising more questions about a key moment in the agency's Russia probe. The Washington Examiner’s Byron York reports that Comey briefed lawmakers amid allegations Flynn had lied to Vice President Pence about conversations with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and speculation he also may have misled FBI agents who questioned him in January 2017. Flynn lost his job over that controversy -- and as recently as December, even President Trump claimed Flynn had "lied" to agents. But Comey reportedly told lawmakers at the time that agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe he lied to them in that Jan. 24 meeting, and that any inaccuracies in his account were unintentional...   http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/02/14/shock-claim-about-fbis-michael-flynn-interview-raises-questions.html

Rep. Jim Jordan warned against infringing upon Americans’ Second Amendment rights to pass more gun controls... and said most bad people will find a way around the law if they’re determined to do something evil. “It seems like whenever we have one of these tragedies take place there are always folks who want to infringe on fundamental liberties that we as Americans enjoy,” Jordan, R-Ohio, said Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom.”  “On the Second Amendment we have an endless number of gun control laws and regulations currently on the books. So I don’t know that more of those will stop evil like this when it takes place,” the Ohio congressman said, adding...  http://dailysignal.com/2018/02/15/jim-jordan-warns-against-infringing-upon-second-amendment-rights-to-enact-gun-control/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tds-fb?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tds-fb?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tds-fb?utm_source=TDS_Email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=CapitolBell&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWkdKaU4yRmhNREpsTm1aaCIsInQiOiI2c0RnQW11czNxeGJHVkJweDhkN1RpR0p1bkwxNkt1Ung1WGhneXU5Z0FcL05zTkhUeUxtMVlUR1NKWGRyRFd6WENLYytcL0tycWY0OGhDQ1h3dSs0SmtIWUhybENJM0FHZUZldklpbXBlMFUxR2pRYk54QlhjMU1LdElSUVJiWXRkIn0%3D

The Department of Homeland Security came out swinging early Thursday against a Senate bill that it said would grant amnesty to an estimated 10 million illegal immigrants... and “destroy” the agency’s ability to remove illegal residents from the country. “It would be the end of immigration enforcement in America and only serve to draw millions more illegal aliens with no way to remove them,” the DHS wrote in a lengthy press release that doesn’t name or quote any department officials. “By halting immigration enforcement for all aliens who arrived before June 2018, it ignores the lessons of 9/11 and significantly increases the risk of crime and terrorism.”... http://dailysignal.com/2018/02/15/senate-bill-destroys-ability-to-enforce-immigration-law-dhs-says/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tds-fb?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tds-fb?utm_source=TDS_Email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=CapitolBell&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWkdKaU4yRmhNREpsTm1aaCIsInQiOiI2c0RnQW11czNxeGJHVkJweDhkN1RpR0p1bkwxNkt1Ung1WGhneXU5Z0FcL05zTkhUeUxtMVlUR1NKWGRyRFd6WENLYytcL0tycWY0OGhDQ1h3dSs0SmtIWUhybENJM0FHZUZldklpbXBlMFUxR2pRYk54QlhjMU1LdElSUVJiWXRkIn0%3D

Florida Shooting — Reflecting the Worst in Our Culture

v1q4KMEwVnrIpKVH11ixyAtFkRgW8NIIgBBFvVaDCiXN5cvBuc86oOiajteFeHTHAhXivHixVZAPsiNn37s8ZUvCBUOOZCSSLG6AP3-axWgfNmQisJ1aRMwREdyRcIE=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=450by Thomas Gallatin:  Almost as soon as news hit the airways yesterday of the mass murder of 17 students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, at the hands of a 19-year-old former student, the nation braced for the politicization of yet another atrocity. And as night follows day, anti-Second Amendment politicians took aim and launched their salvos. House Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi (D-CA) released a press statement that read in part, “Today, another American community is reeling from the horror of gun violence, perpetrated against innocent children. … Too many families have lost someone to the senseless epidemic of gun violence. Congress has a moral responsibility to take common sense action to prevent the daily tragedy of gun violence in communities across America. Enough is enough.” Recall it was just two weeks ago when Pulosi and her fellow Democrats  refused to stand for the parents of two girls murdered by MS-13 illegal aliens.

Pulosi’s hypocrisy is nothing new, but it is a reflection of the worst in our culture. As we and many other defenders of Americans’ Second Amendment rights have pointed out time and time again, firearms are merely tools — the intent of the individual wielding the tool is where the problem lies. To attack the Second Amendment is to attack Americans’ Liberty itself. But political opportunists like Pulosi ignore the real cause of the problem and attack freedom.
The reality of the world is that people hurt others. And no matter the number of laws passed, nothing will change this fact. Taking away people’s rights to protect themselves doesn’t stop the evil; in fact, it only allows for the evil to grow. Too many people in Western culture have bought into the lie that people are essentially motivated by good, selfless impulses, when in truth the opposite is the case. How else does one explain evil?
With this latest atrocity, individuals who knew the killer were quick to acknowledge that they were not shocked that he would perpetrate this mass murder. It goes beyond his being described by several people as “weird.” In fact, a YouTube producer reportedly notified the FBI months ago regarding a comment he made claiming, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.
President Donald Trump also noted this, tweeting, “So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!” He’s absolutely right. When you see something, say something. And those warnings must be heeded.
The questions will be raised about what should have or could have been done to prevent this violent young man from engaging in this mass murder. What we do know is that Americans’ Second Amendment rights did not create this monster, and fixating on limiting gun rights as a “solution” to the problem only serves to punish the innocent for crimes of the guilty. This is a moral problem of the heart that politics is powerless to solve. Yet politicians like Pulosi chastise conservatives for defending Americans’ Second Amendment rights, while ignoring the blatant hypocrisy of demanding citizenship rights for illegal aliens who by definition are law-breakers.   ~The Patriot Pos
